This place is a hidden gem! I’ve lived not even 2 minutes from it for a few months ago, and finally decided to try it. I got a to-go order, and even though they were super busy, the server was super kind and my food came out in 8 minutes! I got catfish tenders, a fully loaded baked potato, salad, fried mushrooms, and banana pudding for $18 which is amazing. The food was great, fresh, and my order was correct! 12/10 recommend :)

Cheap food fast. Some of the staff are good and some are not. Nothing fancy here. The stakes are pretty darn good considering the price. Get it seasoned and seared is the best. Loaded baked potato is pretty good too. Livermush, egg and cheese sandwich with tomato is a breakfast staple. The bathroom here is not good, it's old and needs a remodel. Jerry is the owner and his son is Gary. They both try really hard but sometimes things are what they are. Jerry is very adamant about keeping it the way it is and I don't blame him, he's a really great person and has served the community for decades, since 1993 ish. Gary is about the same way, I do cherish them and the local family. All in all... If traditions didn't get in the way you'd be paying double, though, it might have a bit more favor but the traditional effects would die forever.

Been eating Lunch here for a while now. The service is exemplary! The food is always good and my orders always correct. This is one of my favorite grub spots. I call in my order jump in the truck drive 1/16 mile down the road and it's already ready for me ... can't beat it !

UPDATE, not quite sure what happened, the ladies here were really sweet in the evening but if you get breakfast especially to go one lady is very rude and doesn’t even say good morning or acknowledge me standing at the counter even after I looked at her and said good morning. Didn’t even crack a smile, yes some of the ladies here are extremely sweet few of them have a nasty attitude and probably should just work somewhere else. The ladies here are the sweetest most country women you’ll ever meet the food is good priced and portions are generous, great little spot to eat at.

Well, whenever you find a diner adjoining a gas station on the corner, it’s going to go one of two ways. Places like Corner Grill are the reason I will always take the gamble to find out. Old fashioned American short order cooking done right! The food here is a real throwback to when short order places across the country were proud of the food they served and understood that they were a hallmark of American culture. Do yourself a favor and swing through for a bite.

Called my order in and I live 7 minutes away. When I got there my order was ready. I ordered biscuits and gravy for me and one for my fiancée and an order of pancakes and dessert. The biscuits and gravy for one person was enough for two people lol. I could only eat half and so did my fiancée. So we have leftovers for later which is good. We ate one of the pancakes because we were almost full as it was lol. But we got brunch for later and it was all a little over 22 dollars without tip which isn't bad at all.

I had a Ruben sandwich on Texas toast. They have rye bread, but if you don't like rye they will substitute it for you. Good deal! It's not your typical Ruben, but the price is right and I am hungry. The server is pleasant and prompt. I also ordered mozzarella sticks and they weren't cooked all the way, but she fixed it. Thank you 😊

Tuna Melt w/Grilled Onions & Bacon on Toasted Rye… Really good and didn’t slack on the tuna, onion and bacon… As you can see some of the tater tots didn’t make the photo… They smelled so good when she brought them to the table I had to eat some… 😅🤣😂

However, any initial doubts quickly dissipated upon entering. The cafe was bustling with locals, a promising sign of good food and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted me warmly, adding to the café's charm. I opted for the sausage and cheese omelet with a side of ham, intrigued by the cafe's good reputation from previous reviews. Service was swift, and it wasn't long before I was presented with my meal. The breakfast exceeded my expectations—it was delicious and satisfyingly filling. My husband and I went to this place, and the food was superb. That was the best hotdog I have ever had in years. My husband ordered a hamburger, and he really enjoyed it. The sweet tea was so good. And the people was very friendly. We felt so welcome, and when we go back to Arden, NC, we will definitely stop by to get some good food. It's really hard finding a good hotdog

Old fashioned diner. Has special on steaks, ribeye, strip etc, about $11 and you can get rare, although they're thin. Surprisingly good. Looks and feels run down, but it's a local's place. Most of the food is pretty good, even the liver. Meat loaf is good but occasional. Recommended, but don't come in a tux.

Enjoyed the Chef Salad. It is always delicious. I like that the meat is cut up into real small pieces so you have meat in every bite of your salad.

Food was surprisingly good for the price. I don't know any other place where you can get at ribeye steak with baked potato and salad for $12. Insane! Service was quick and attentive but kinda annoyed that the waitress took the order from another table first even though we sat down way before they did.

It's a diner for locals. Some of the daily deals are remarkable. ie steaks for around $11 and they're good, better than the steaks we just had at Ruby Tuesday. Desserts are home cooked and excellent. Don't be put off by the outside and be careful entering and leaving. Lots of trucks on 191.

Every Wednesday, we order 4 cheeseburgers for dinner. They are amazing and inexpensive.

I love coming here. The atmosphere is seriously like an old world diner, like something you'd walk into in like the 60s-70s. The waitresses are super nice, and it feels like everyone who comes here knows each other. The food is average, but it's very well priced. I personally love it, and I come here quite often.

Small busy diner, but the staff are friendly and the food is fresh and pretty fast.

This restaurant is by far the best hidden gem. The steaks were better than any chain restaurants. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I know when we come back for vacation we will be here again!!!

Local Diner serving up your favorites for about 20 years apparently. Food was great. Service was friendly but I guess they assume all of us are locals, ha ha, because nobody greeted me upon entering and there was no sign to seat yourself, so I had to ask. It took a few minutes to get waited on. But other than that, the food was so good, I'd go back again. 😊 Just know that if you've never been, just pick a seat and you'll get taken care of.

The food was amazing where can you go and get an 8oz ribeye steak dinner and all the trimmings for 10.95. The waitress was great. The place is a dive in the absolute best way.

It's like stepping back to simpler times there. Friendly and fast service on our visit. We just missed breakfast which was disappointing since I had been trying to get there for a few weeks. That said our burgers and my side salad were very enjoyable and prices were as reasonable as they get.

I love it, locals call it "Boone's". I've came here since I was a kid, I'm 57 now! Brought my Son here since he was little, my Mom was with me this time, she's 78yrs old. We enjoy the memories but, the great food, pricing and staff, makes it a local gold mine!!! The hidden gem, in this area!! From burgers, milkshakes, to chicken livers and fish, to breakfast!! You can't go wrong!! I had the Fish Platter, this time. It was fantastic!! Fresh, hot, fast, and fantastic!! I had leftovers to bring home!! My Mom had the chopped steak (her favorite, anytime she can get it!!)!! Sit down great meal, leftovers, great friendly staff, all for $23 and change!! Makes leaving a great tip, a must!! I hope they continue to be here, for the next 60 yrs!!

This is a gas station restaurant. I was not impressed! I only picked it because of ratings! Idk how they got them!!! Waitress recommended the French toast, which I love so ordered, and it was like they forgot to throw it on the grill and the bacon was like jerky!! I could not eat either! They did offer to make something else and went with the basics. Eggs, sausage, hash browns WELL DONE! Which was fine but biscuits and gravy (??) was a big no! Sorry, I won't be back!

I visit this restaurant on a regular basis. Jerry, Gary, Michelle and the other employees have always welcome me like family. Never received a meal that was not satisfactory in close to 20 years. Thanks guys

Food was good not a fan of the brown gravy biscuits but the hot cakes were the bomb and eggs good and bacon coffee was great bill was 35 for 3 adults and 2 kids.

Stumbled onto this place passing through. Good burgers here, but their menu is pretty diverse with lots of options. Reasonably priced. Lady working the register had big smile on her face.

All around my favorite place to go when I come to the Asheville area. I’m a Jersey girl so I love the little Spots. Come in, grab a seat, grab a table. Easy Peasy. Food is cheap and VERY HEARTY & GOD! All the servers had on pleasant smiles and were so sweet. I can’t decide if I come back for them the food, or the lollipops you can take when you’re leaving. Either way if I move to the area THIS will be my restaurant.

Great restaurant with made to order food, banana pudding Wednesday, and great daily specials. Also great for steak dinners, quick sandwiches, and a full dessert menu including hand scooped ice cream and milkshakes.

Our favorite spot to get something other than a burger all though they have them as well. The menus is large the food is great as well as the service. It is the only place in Arden to get regular ok’d fashioned hard ice cream with your favorite cake. I like the strawberry short cake and the hot fudge cake.

This place is very very very good home cooked food. They beat waffle house and j&s type food by far. I been coming hear for only 6 months and I mad at myself for not stopping by earlier. To the cook you are a master at what you do. To the waitress's y'all the best fun nice and polite. They make u feel like number one customer even though they gave a packed house

We enjoyed a mix of breakfast and lunch items. I had a really good chicken Cheesesteak. Surprisingly closed on Sat and Sunday . While I enjoyed the Led Zeppelin music blaring from the kitchen area, I didn't think the old folks trying to eat did tho.. I'd suggest headphones. Service was excellent!

I love this place! Their staff are always friendly and I've never waited more than 10-12 mins on breakfast, but they get pretty busy at lunch and dinner, so if you're trying to dine-in then there's a good chance you'll have to wait. It is definitely worth the short wait!

I love diners that have meal specials when I have a hard time deciding on what to eat they already have something on special that isn't usually on the menu that's exciting to try and the service is amazing not to mention the dining in service. You can call in and they will have your food ready on the table for those who have short breaks so you can walk in sat down and eat and leave during your short lunch break
