Mmm the food is absolutely delicious. The French toast was so thick and fluffy and the eggs where cooked to perfection. I love the strawberry garnish and the service was wonderful.

Ran across this wonderful restaurant while taking the US-95A through Yerington. Noticed LOTS of cars in the parking lot, which is a tried and true method of finding a great restaurant. What a find! Great food, friendly service and great prices! Our waitress, Julie, was exceptional. Attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was just as incredible. There is a large parking lot with an attached well-stocked store, propane and ice on site. There are two restrooms here, as well. There is even a rack of free books to take and read. THIS IS WHERE THE LOCALS EAT! If you are driving on I-95 towards Reno it would be well worth your time to take the I-95A towards Yerington not only for the incredible scenery but also this great diner! It's located a bit south of the town. They do take a wide variety of payments. Strongly recommend you try it out!

This little place was so wonderful the food was delicious it is a little while of a wait but it is definately worth it.

Been coming here 20 years and don't know why I haven't reviewed it yet. It's small. Be ready to wait a few minutes. It's worth it. Breakfast will fill up a Class A trough feeder. Only place I know that gets an English muffin just perfect. The Peggy's special is godawesome. Even the coffee has real flavor. For lunch, I like the grilled ham & cheese & sauerkraut. The locals already know, but if you are travelling between Reno & Vegas, give it a try. Be warned it's only open 8:00-1:30 each day. Edit: Now open for dinner 3 days a week.

I am a local and have been a regular at this little hole in the wall for 7 years. Blink and you miss it! All of ladies in here are personable and really get to know you over time. Food, don't EVEN get me started. The Herman's Scramble is a must. Decent selection of liquor and reasonably priced. Smokes are a bit pricey, but that's expected at most smaller places. Not a complaint. But seriously. Try the dang food, it's da bomb! Love this place and these people here.

This is definitely a must try when visiting Yerington. They recently started serving dinner on weekends. They are well known for their breakfast and lunch but last night I was very impressed by their dinner. I had the chicken fried steak, and it was delicious. The ranch for the salad is made in house is the best. Also, the butter syrup for breakfast is like no other. The Herman Special or Peggy Special is always a hit, and their burger are some of the best around. Anything you get is guaranteed to fill your need. An off the menu item you can order for breakfast is the Omar Special. It's an over easy egg, a scrambled egg, bacon, hash browns, American cheese on sourdough bread with a little bit of jam. It's delicious!! Oh, and all their desserts are made in house and are so good.

We had not been out there for awhile. However the food and service was great. Definitely will be back. The menu has improved and the additions look yummy.

This place used to be so good, and it's gone downhill since I was last there. I ordered food today with some friends and we waited an hour for our food, no substitutions or anything crazy. Just some burgers and a French dip. We asked for ranch, and we each got a side of fries. When we finally got our food when we got where we were going, it was a bad experience. Soggy fries, no ranch, the French dip had no dip. Just roast beef on bread. The food was cold even though we got it 5 minutes prior. I won't be eating here again for a very long time, it's sad to see this place this bad. I know they're short staffed, and I know the rule of always checking your food before you leave. But this was just ridiculous...

Food was absolutely delicious. My son even said " this isn't steak... this is heaven". Service was on point. Prices were awesome. Super happy with the experience as a whole. 10/10 recommend 👌 Also, they are open until 8 pm Thursday- Sunday now. Check them out!

A very friendly and welcoming place to go. The food is amazing as are the staff and owner! They have the best French toast and are so accommodating of young ones. The salsa is also wonderful! 100% recommend you try them out.

This is one of those hidden gems that I love. It's kind of out there but worth the drive, or stop if you're heading to Vegas. The service is great and the food is amazing. I got the country biscuits and gravy. It was homemade and delicious. As far as the atmosphere it has a small town country feel. It's nice.

What a great place to find on a road trip! This was a real slice of Americana! The food was very good - I had the 3 egg scramble, hash browns and biscuit/gravy. My wife just had the 3 egg scramble. The service was fast and extremely friendly and it was apparent it was family run and all of the customers knew each other!

Great food, great at home atmosphere, plenty of parking, service 🐕 accommodation friendly, nice friendly waitresses and cook. Will be back to eat here again. Free internet, book reading with lots of assorted books to choose from.

This is a great little cafe with wonderful real food and friendly staff who are effecient and so willing to help. Then the cinnamon rolls are huge and homemade perfectly!

With a small local Cafe, open from I believe 8am to 2pm, some of the best "home cooked" food you'll get in the Mason valley. There is also a gas station, and small convenience store open from 8am till 7pm I believe.
