Great bartender, yummy cocktails and a great atmosphere.

Almost passed this place, so glad we doubled back! Kate provided an amazing experience! We learned the history, and her drinks were balanced! She gave us guidance on things to check out!

Love this place. 2nd time there, the Coladas are very good. Will definitely go there again when I visit NOLA

May Baily’s is a laid back bar in a quieter part of the Quarter. The atmosphere and history are fun with a live band usually playing. Great bartender and drinks.

A hidden gem! Beautiful remodel that takes you back in time. Kate makes the best Sazerac I had in New Orleans, and she had lots of great advice about the rest of the city. I came for a cocktail and was so impressed I stayed for three!

Kate was the kindest and best bartender we have had on this entire trip, and we went to A LOT of bars. In the new era we are in, where customer service is dead, was so awesome to have this experience!

We stopped by this bar on a ghost tour the first night in town and we came back the next night because we liked it sooo much! Love the atmosphere and friendly service. The live music was also amazing.

This is a beautiful bar and the mixology of Jennifer is perhaps the best I've experienced. She has a specialty cocktail, the Madam Old Fashioned I think it was called, that is phenomenal. Her hurricane was the best I've had and that's saying a lot as I've had a lot of hurricanes over the years. Made friends with folks at the bar, some local, some visiting. I wouldn't typically seek a "hotel" bar (it's attached to Dauphine New Orleans Hotel), but will definitely return here.

We came to this place to start a walking tour and this was such a cool place with rich history. It basically has secret entrances that are hidden to the public’s eye because of the rich history it once served. Their specialty drink choices are also out of this world. And they pour heavy so be prepared. Highly recommend.

Went before a Bloody Mary seance for the history of May Baily, who is said to still be hanging around. The bartender was very nice. Just a quick visit, but I will be back when my non-believing ghost hunters. 👻

I stumbled into this quint little place on accident and absolutely fell in love you the bartender Kate. I make it a point to stop in every week to enjoy something off of the cocktail menu and say hello to my new favorite bartender.

The drinks were the best I've had in NOLA. The friendly service was refreshing. The atmosphere and history make this place special as well. It was an overall great experience!

It was pretty quiet when we visited. We enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation. We went back when it was more busy. The same waitress was there from before. What we didn't like was that we spoke, said hi and was not even acknowledged. We understand being busy. What is unacceptable is treating the customers as if they are unimportant...busy or not. 🙄

Great place that doesn't feel like a tourist trap. Jen, the bartender, is amazing. Visited twice while in NOLA for the first time. I will definitely go back next time I visit.

A quiet French Quarter bar in a former brothel, friendly service, with live music on Friday nights. Sometimes, at the end of a very busy and noisy day,a quiet bar is a wonderful place to wind down.

Jennifer is awesome. Her drink menu is great. Several great personal drinks she's concocted and some traditional NOLA drinks. It's a must when visiting.

The cocktails are made well at the small bar. We were here on a Friday night and heard the traditional jazz band. New Orleans' professional musicians are excellent, and the band here was exceptionally good at performing the hits of the 1920s. If you are a fan of Bix's cornet work, you will appreciate this place. I certainly did.

Quaint bar. Excellent service. Drenched in history. The bartender, Shaun, made good drinks. Our favorite was the Pims Cup.

Quiet and just plain cool. A place known for the Ghost Adventures investigation these days, but should be known for the way to hide away from the crazy Bourbon St. Maybe if the B street is too much for you, or you just want to dip your toe in before plunging in, the May Baily's bar is what you need.

We stayed at the Dauphine and got complimentary drinks at the bar. Sazerac was good, the atmosphere was great. I loved the decor and the piano. We did not see anything though, even when we sat by the bar so we can see the mirror where a figure in white supposedly appears.

This is one of my favorite watering holes in the French Quarter. Just not right now. They are remodeling the main bar and for the interim a small meeting room is being used for serving drinks. Which is too bad, bartender Daniela has created a wonderful new cocktail that's a mint-lemonade hybrid and surely will rival the Pimm's Cup as THE drink for summer down here in Silver Bayou. I will restore the place to it's well-deserved 4-star rating when the remodel is finished I hope.

I stayed at the Dauphine Orleans, which gives all its customers complimentary drink tickets to May Baily's place. So my sister and I got a couple of drinks. It's a small, dark, casual place. I recommend getting the Pimm's cup. It's very refreshing, kind of like an Arnold Palmer. We went during the day. It was empty with a few of the hotel patrons. It's a nice place to get a good drink and to escape the heat.
