What a great place! Food, service, atmosphere and a museum to boot. We had the sushi and pasta with squid ink. Just kidding, it's not that kind of place. We had a burger, fried chicken (on Sunday) and chilli. And apple cobbler. Excellent. Edit 2024: Still a great place. The heart of America!

Best food around fresh and won't disappoint you. Just sad to see the hours cut, I eat here every year during hunting season and now I can't due too only open 2 days a week.

A must stop and see, especially if you are traveling through. Clean, amazing food and the coolest museum collection!!! All home cooked and absolutely delicious and it was awesome to stroll around the museum and stretch your legs.

Hoping for a surprise for breakfast. Lady said she was only serving biscuits. I had no problem with that until I see her fixing full breakfast for the locals.

I had a half pound burger I think they called a Williamsburger, or something similar. It was really good!! The service was very good and friendly. The store is interesting and the museum was especially nice. Great place to stop to get away from I-70 for a bit.

After a morning of fishing at Whetstone Creek CA, the Famous Williamsburger at Marlene's for lunch was exactly what we needed.

Very cute little place. Nice detour if your traveling. You can order your sandwich and check out the museum while it cooks.

Great place if you like nostalgia. It is amazing how many neat items they have in the museum. My burger was good. Might be the best thing on the menu. Be sure to make a stop at the General Store on the corner that has been in business over one hundred years.

If the signs on the freeway get your attn stop in. Much more here than I expected. High quality products.

It was a spontaneous side trip. If you're interested or just want to know some Calhoun County history, this stop is a must.

Definitely worth checking this place out. Cranes is really cool, it's an old fashioned convenience store, but you can also get some high quality work wear and apparel. The staff is amazing. Next door is Marlene's. Hands down the best cobbler anywhere in central missouri. They have really great burgers and the chicken salad sandwich is top notch. I eat here fairly frequently. Such a great place. Definitely worth going just to explore.

What a great little gem off the highway 70! A darling Mom and Pop place next to each other. A convenience store closer to the stop sign with gas and a museum restaurant next door. Both places have a unique style that you can get lost in for days. Food was awesome. Restroom in restaurant was clean and fresh. Service was amazing and lovely atmosphere. They take cash or card, call ahead or order out or dine in. No fryer so no French Fries, but the burger made up for it all on it's own. I will make sure to stop by again on my travels on highway 70.

Stopped on for breakfast prior to hiking, and was happy for the experience. Food and service was good and the museum just addes to the experience

Friendly staff, clean facilities, reasonable prices, good food, easy access to the highway, it's a quaint little out of the way place to eat.

Almost everything you want is here. Best assortment of Filson, Carhartt and Dickies I have seen. Like it says Boots Britches Bullets Bologna!! Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. New work boots for me. Food smelled wonderful though we did not eat. Stopping again soon to spend more time in museum.

Traveling I70 between St.Louis and KC should include this stop. The food is very retro, musuem is worth a view, a better place for a break to stretch doesn't top this. It truly is one of a kind. I've had a pancake, slice of pie and a burger. All were exactly as expected. Really, don't miss this this...

This place is amazing. We had the Sunday special of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy plus green beans. We also had the Williamsburgee. The service was being friendly. Make sure to read their monthly newsletter. This is a don't miss!!!

Going back home and looking fur a place to as lunch and just happened to find this quaint little place. Food and service were excellent will definitely stop back in next time we are through that way.

Stopped in on our way to Kansas City, neat spot. Museum was interesting. We did the scavenger hunt for historical items, that was fun... never found that frog gig though :)

Small history of the Midwest. The store was filled of clothes, hunting, fishing and camping equipment. Great to see if you are traveling through Missouri.

The food was good n eating with the museum and its unique historic stuff( 5 generations of stuff) all around was pretty cool. We really enjoyed it.

I was surprised. Passing through on the way back to STL and just stopped. Very clean. Nice people and the cobbler was to die for. The museum was very interesting and also clean no dust which was surprising.

Stopped in while en route to Colorado from Tennessee. Got the southwest omelet and was not disappointed. Great place and the staff was super friendly.

Such a cut and cool little place. We met for a quick family meet up before Easter and had a nice meal and checked out the surrounding shops.

Had lunch there. The burger was really good. The staff was friendly. The place seems to be very popular with the locals as it really started to pack full as I was finishing. I'll be going there again just to try the other menu items.

Interesting place to visit, awesome food, kitchen dining experience was very good. Museum has a lot of eclectic and interesting items. Didn't have time to see it all. I would definitely visit again!

Traveling through on motorcycles and stopped here on a random lunch stop. This places is amazing! We met some great people on the front porch and had a great conversation with them. The restaurant had a great selection and the food was fantastic and fair pricing. That left us the museum for us to see. It was a great exhibit of a lifetime collection. Old cars, firearms everywhere and plenty of cool stuff to see. You could spend hours here. Visit if you ever pass by. You'll have a great time.

We needed a break from the motorcycle we'd been on for several days. We took an exit & there was nothing. He went down a little further & we came across this place. When we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised. It took us back in time. The food was good. The museum was a welcomed break. Very cool little place we accidentally stumbled upon.

Charming place with carefully selected antiques. Makes a great stop when traveling to Kansas City. Loved their Ruben sandwich. The museum has an interesting collection.
