Detroit style! Not exactly like home but still delicious.

Did a build your own pizza. Others in my group had the meatball sub, calamari and jalapeño poppers. If you like mozzarella cheese then this is the place to get pizza. It's Detroit style which means the cheese goes straight on the crust with no sauce. A little sauce is put on the top with the toppings and you get a small side of sauce with it. Everything was excellent. Crust was pan crust and had all that crispy edge goodness. Would definitely go again. Staff was also very fast and most excellent.

My family stopped by Dante’s after visiting York’s Wild Kingdom and were happy we did. The best pizza I have had in a very long time. Has the perfect ratio of crispness, soft dough, and cheese. Just pure deliciousness (and my somewhat picky kids loved it too)!! Highly recommend! We will be back.

Food: So many options on the menu! We ordered the meat lovers special pizza, it was very good but very very greasy! Just enough for two people to eat. Understandable with the amount of meat on the pizza but the grease was too much. The meats all had good flavor and the pizza was a perfect crunch and gooey chewy. The mozzarella sticks are perfect! Delicious marinara sauce. Only bottled drinks available from soda to tea to water and more. Pizza is served in a to go box with paper plates and actual silverware. Service: everyone was super friendly and helpful. Atmosphere: Inside was very hot, we sat on the private back patio. Bathrooms were clean (but small). Parking lot was tricky - not familiar with the area and bad line of vision backing out onto the road.

Not my first Detroit style pizza, but my first time here. You’ve gotta give them props for not trying to be all things to all people. They’ve picked their lane and went all in. The menu was comprehensive with appetizers, pizzas, sandwiches, dinners, salads and fried dough. A stand out was how affordable it was. They had beers on tap and a dining room. A little dark and basic decor. Everything was counter order first and the they call you to pickup. Counter server was knowledgeable and helpful guide customers (me included). I picked 2 pizzas: pepper & mushroom, the other was a specialty chicken, bacon, ranch. The smell of the pies drove me nuts while driving. So good. They both looked awesome. Ultimately the veggie was a little too doughy, lacking the crisp we were hoping for. Heavy/dense. I normally would order basic pies, but the server recommended this one. This one compared to the other was absolutely delicious. The chicken was incredible, everything worked with crunch on the bottom and crust. So good. The center could have been airier. If these guys work on mastering the dough and cook times, they will have people lining up outside. Everything said with the contrast in my pies, it was a very good experience overall.

Pizza was great ! But more than that, the girl overseeing the whole front of house, by herself, taking phone calls, counter orders, waiting on tables, pouring drinks, checking with everybody, on a Saturday night, while being friendly, professional and efficient..This place is great and so lucky to have someone like that on their side !

We’ve been eating here monthly since we moved to the area last year. Recently saw an ad for the pepperoni, and had to order it with our fav, the buffalo chicken pizza. I think we have a new favorite!! The salads and hand cut fries are also delicious. Do yourself a favor and try this place asap!

Great pizza, some of the best I've had in recent memory. All four we tried were good and I am sure the rest are great. I would highly recommend this pizza, it is phenomenal.

Amazing food! We got pepperoni and cheese pizza, onion rings and garlic bread. Everything was excellent. I recommend getting extra sauce, it's just that good.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the service and food here. I got a standard cheese pizza and it was the perfect portion for a personal size. The bartender/waitress that was there when I went in (blond, just graduated UNH) was super kind and explained everything to me as a first-time patron. Even though I live in NH I’ll make sure to make a trip up here for the pizza and for the hospitality

The best Detroit style pizza I may have ever had. The crispy edge just takes it where it needs to go, great pizza. I do think the dough recipe needs to be tweaked just a smidge. Still maybe one of the best on the seacoast.

Enjoyed amazing Detroit style pizza and crispy thin onion rings on enclosed patio. Nice choice of local craft beers on tap. Laid back place with friendly staff.

I drove about 40 mins to try this, I was not disappointed. The pizza was like nothing else I have had. Never been to Detroit so I can't speak to how authentic it was but it looked like pizzas I've seen on TV and the like. I will definitely be back. I heard the Italian sandwich is awesome, so that will most likely be the next on my list. I liked the atmosphere and staff was courteous. Prices are comparable to other restaurants.

If I am eating pizza in York I am going here. It is pizza the way it should be not made into something more fancy than what it needs to be just good food. Simple.

4 small pieces of pizza for 17.50 ordered online so it was my fault for not going inperson first time but the price didnt match the food it resembled the pizza you got in elementary school lunch. Not enough for 2 people to enjoy. The fries were ok though. Do not recommend if you are looking for a normal size pizza its personal size pizza at party size prices.

Dante‘s is fantastic. The Chicken bacon ranch pizza is A++

Pizza was awesome,but don't expect fast

This was one of the most delicious pizza’s I’ve ever had. It came out fast, hot, and delicious. Dante, the best decision you could have made was to keep the Godfather on the menu, full time. My uncle & I stopped in last night randomly on the way back from a surgery and gave you a shot. You delivered. Thank you.

1st time here, the owner is super friendly and knowledgeable about food. The food is priced well and the taste, exceptional!

Pizza is very good but there was no table service- which is ok if you know it going in. Weird hours, no lunch and has been closed a few times when I was expecting them to be open.

It was my first time at Dante's. I live local, had heard about Detroit-style pizza, and have driven past the restaurant several times. I wasn't expecting this experience. WARNING: Before you order, read the fine print at the top of the menu. If I had, I probably wouldn't have been shocked to find a pizza the size of a piece of notebook paper. One pie in 4 sections with 2 added toppings for $20. I'm sure it tastes good. It certainly smells good. And I'd like to think the rest of the menu is tasty. But the chances of my returning are slim after this experience. My suggestion to management is to offer a large pizza cut in 8 sections. At least I won't feel like I was ripped off.

Never really had Detroit Style Pizza before but never will again. It's more like a thick cheesy bread with a tiny bit or marinara on top. I can't really consider it pizza but if I was going to rate the pizza I would give it a 4.5 out of 10 cause it's not really pizza. However the sauce was really good they should consider putting it under the cheese and covering the pizza in it more like a deep dish. The service was great and a decent selection of beers. If I was to get something else like the Chicken Parm Sandwich I'm sure it would be delicious based on the sauce. Also the Italian sub was great but the pizza is not my preference or considered true pizza. Atmosphere is a basic pizza place but you can't see the TV's around the whole place. I'm giving them a 3 cause the sub was good but if I'm only eating pizza it would be lower. Service was also great and quick.

O.M.G., the food and service here top notch!!!! The prices were decent, and the pizza servings are just right. I can't see any pizzerias around where I live that can even compete with this place. Definitely a little slice of Detroit style heaven!!!! Will definitely make my way back to Dantes any time I am in Maine again!

I don’t leave many review in general but I forgot my wallet and the manager still let me eat a pizza and have a beer. Let it be know it was delicious. The pizza was incredible and the beer was ice cold. But that’s not why I’m writing this. I legit forgot my wallet and told the manager I’d call him with my credit card number when I got him. I’m could have easily left him high and dry but he allowed me to eat my food and phone in my payment later. I appreciate that and respect that he did that. He trusted in me and gave me the benefit of the doubt. That being said they have delicious pizza and food. Hats off to them.

Ultimate thick-boi Detroit style pizza. It's fantastic, tastes awesome. We can only eat it about once a year as I'm basically in a comatose state the day after eating it. The chicken tenders were surprisingly really nice too. Didn't expect that from a place so focused on Detroit style pizza. Lots of people from up north recommend this place even from 2 hours away so you know its pretty solid.

My husband tried to convince me to stop here for months, and we finally did recently. All I can say is, where has this pizza been all my life? My new favorite pizza place (and my picky preschooler's favorite mozzarella sticks)! Very nice people and quick at fulfilling orders. As a parent, I also appreciate the fully enclosed outdoor seating area.

Stumbled upon this gem of a place on one of my trips to Nubble Lighthouse and Short Sands beach. They had the most amazing deep dish pizza I ever had ! We had the Dante’s Classic Cheese Pizza and The Greek Veggie Pizza and as I am writing this review, I am again craving it 😁The service is just amazing and you will come back again and again to this place once you try it

Quite honestly the best pizza I have had in years! Not enough words to describe how perfect it was. Crazy good flavor from the crust up to the top! The service was top notch, too.

Every time I go over there everyone is super super nice pizza. It is super consistent and always taste the same!!!!!!!!!

I’m coming from Hawaii and loved they have Kona Big Wave beer and the pizzas are delicious! Thicker crusts so don’t expect hand tossed :)

We are from Detroit, and this pizza did not disappoint. It’s delicious and everyone who works there was very friendly.

We didn't really enjoy our meal here, but it wasn't the fault of the restaurant. We were hungry after a day at the beach and looked for non-chain pizza restaurant to grab dinner before heading back to MA. We came here and ordered, not knowing what it meant for pizza to be "Detroit Style". Turns out, "Detroit Style" means a thick crust and LOTS of cheese. This was far too heavy for us (our preference is for thinner crust and less cheese), but the pizza appeared to be was well made and the service was pleasant.

When I try a new place I never know if the bread for the sandwich will be dry and inedible. Dante’s bread was so soft I had to come leave a review. The server was also really friendly and didn’t mind my very customized order.

Been driving by this place for years wanting to try it and finally did. Ordered a meat lovers pizza, mozzarella sticks and a chicken ceaser salad. All were great! My wife said it was one of the best pizzas she's ever had too. Her only "complaint" was there was a lot of croutons in the salad but did what a logical person would do and just didn't eat them all but it's great if you are like me and enjoy a bunch of them in your salad. Definitely would eat there again

We are both foodies and found this to be some of the best pizza we've ever had! We've been back twice already. The Mac Dante is amazing as is all of the pizza we have tried. Must give it a try! Friendly staff as well.

This is a truly hidden gem. By far the best pizza around if you like Detroit style pizza you won’t find better. Beer is cold and the service is top notch!

I have been driving by this spot for years. Detroit style pizza does not get the respect that it deserves and Dante’s is delivering up a really good version of that right here in New England. Highly recommend. No picture b/c I ate it too fast.

We had a small issue with online ordering and the staff handled the problem kindly and efficiently. I appreciated the full transparency and eagerness to quickly solve the problem. We will be back.

Been wanting to try this pizza for quite a while and finally drove up from Nh(which was quite a long drive) but unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with the pizza. Flavor wise it wasn’t bad but to say it was GREASY would be an extreme understatement, in fact it was by far the most greasy pizza I have ever had in my life. So greasy that the grease seeped through the bottom of the box while sitting on my passenger seat and when I finally got back home to Nh I had a massive grease stain on my seat from the pizza box and now I need my car detailed because of it. Onion rings tasted solid but were also insanely greasy.

Hands down the best pizza in the area. Detroit style so the toppings go out to the edge, but every pizza I've had has been 10/10. Can't recommend them enough

The Detroit style pizza was very good for a change! It was a nice thick crust but was fairly light and not heavy. The cheese they use is good quality but those little pepperoni are very greasy. The workers were all very friendly and great to talk with! Its a smaller pizza shop so stop in and try out the aweosme pizza and other good food and support local business! They do offer regular style pizza, subs, and more! Check 'em out!

The portions could be bigger. But you will definitely be stuffed with what they give you. There is so much cheese and toppings you'll need to eat it with a fork! Amazing place.

Fantastic deep dish pizza and very friendly service. It's a bit pricey for how much pizza you get but the quality is definitely great. I will be back.

Drove by on one of my days off and knew I’d be back later in the week because they were closed. Pizza took all of 10 minutes or so. I went with the pepperoni. Soft fluffy dough with crispy cheesy edges the corners were literal triangle cheese bites. The crispy cup pepperoni was perfect. If you like Detroit style this is the spot.

Pizza is awesome. Beers are ice cold. Yum yum. However, I ordered an Italian sub which had one slice of meat and one slice of cheese. Don't get the sub!
