Excellent customer service and delicious food. Polite and professional.

I ordered my food via Uber Eats so I can not vouch for the restaurant atmosphere. However, the Taste and portions of the food were Excellent! The catfish tacos are crunchy and that slaw on top gives a nice, pickled taste. The Collards were awesome but it's kinda hard to mess up greens, if you ask me. The Trainwreck Brisket bowl, OMG! The meat is super tender, Mac n cheese was good, and the cornbread was excellent! I am one, Happy camper right now!! I definitely recommend this place!! 😋

I ordered takeout, walked in at the appointed time, and my online order was ready. Cuban sandwiches, some hush puppies and a few sausages later my party remarked on how delicious the meal was. I didn’t rate the atmosphere was because I was in and out with the pick up. I’ll be back.

This was supposed to feed five people. I was misled by the person on the phone. The food tasted fine the restaurant was perfectly clean and tidy... and the customer service was fine. The portion size for 80 plus dollars to feed five people is ridiculously low, I've now wasted my money and my time. This was ridiculous.

I feel like it's important to be honest at all times. I called Deep Run Roadhouse looking to feed five people brisket. And I was told that about 2 and 1/2 lb should do it including sides. So I ordered two and a half pounds of brisket and two large sides. One macaroni and cheese and one greens. And I paid 80 plus dollars for it. The portion that I received is more than just laughable. The customer service was fantastic over the phone and in the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and tidy. And the brisket tasted good. There are barely enough sides to feed two people let alone five people and the brisket would barely feed three people let alone five people. My low score is not based on taste or customer service. It is based purely on.... being misled and the portion I received for the amount of money spent. I've wasted my money and I've been made to look a fool.

The customer service here is so nice! We placed an online order but unfortunately they were all out of pulled pork. I told him today was my birthday and I really was wanting that and didn’t want to substitute any other type of meat. No biggie I said. Upon checking my email I saw they had sent me a coupon for my next visit! My husband and me are celebrating our 12 year anniversary in a few weeks so we plan on celebrating with some delicious food from here! Thanks so much for the kindness and outstanding service!

Had their collard greens, which were OK, too many large stems for me. Also, the seats were hard wood,not very comfortable. Had the brisket with cowboy beans,will consider going back to try a different dish.

Got pickup. I ordered the Trainkwreck bowl and it hit the spot. Tasty and filling, ready within 15 minutes of ordering. Would order again.

If you don't smell wood smoke, drive on. The BBQ sandwiches were chock-a-block full of meat. The service was top shelf. Get a fire started.

Deep Run Roadhouse catered our wedding for 200 people and it was perfect. They were communicative, organized, and delicious. The team helped us with logistics and figuring out amounts for dinner, gluten free/vegan options, and appetizers. There were hardly any leftovers because guests went back for seconds and thirds (the Mac and cheese was a hit!). Lots of compliments from guests and we couldn’t be happier!

Deep Run Roadhouse has amazing customer service. After a catering snafu with another restaurant, they were able to cover a last minute (and I mean within 45 min of calling them) catering order. I already knew their food was amazing - but I'm so appreciative of their amazing service.

Tremendous ribs. Some of the.very best in Richmond..Meaty and flavorful. Potato salad and cole slaw are also excellent.

I had the worst digestive upset I've ever had. Don't know if it was the beans, which I didn't like, the sweet potato's which were ok, or the meat, which was pretty good, but I would never eat here again. I was distressed for a couple of days.

We had our wedding catered by Deep Run Roadhouse, and our guests said it was the best wedding food they've had in a long time! We had gluten-free and vegan diners, and we were able to accommodate those needs. The mushrooms were AMAZING, probably my favorite thing we had! Staff was incredibly easy and kind to work with.

Update: Deep Run Roadhouse did catering for my wedding and it was an excellent experience! We had 3 servers stay at the venue and serve the food buffet style. They all were super attentive and everything went smoothly. And the food was a hit! Lots of food and everyone was raving about it. I mean... 10/10! --- Best bbq place near Richmond, in my opinion. Every food menu is finger-licking good! But my favorites are the hush puppies, baked beans, and the ribs!! 🤤 The staff is also very attentive!

Call in order was ready whe i arrived. Still hot when i got home. Ribs were well seasoned and tender. Coleslaw was a little chunky but taste good and cornbread with cinnamon butter melted in my mouth. Hmmm yummy meal. I will go back.

From the outside, you know exactly what you’re getting. That’s quality home cooked BBQ, chicken, mac & cheese, and all the like. The service was great as it was our first time there. The food was phenomenal. Would love to return one day if I’m ever back in the area

Used their online ordering system yesterday, wow was that fantastic and such a breeze! This was my first time trying their food. I ordered their brisket, pork, chicken, beans, greens, Mac and cheese, coleslaw and sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend everything I ordered! I will be going back!

They catered for our wedding. The wedding tasting was DELICIOUS and we went with the smoked chicken, pulled pork, bbq portobellos, mac and cheese, southwest slaw, potato salad, and sweet potatoes. Everything we got was DELICIOUS. Our guests were more than pleased with the food. We had a bunch of leftovers that reheated nicely!

DRR catered our wedding on 6/8/24. They were punctual, professional, and knew what they were doing! I had a stress free day with them at my wedding! The bartender was also incredibly personable! She even took time to visit my wedding website so she knew what to expect. I was shocked (in a positive way!) it truly shows just how dedicated they are to their customers. From the taste testing to the day of, we couldn’t have asked for better people to work with! We also received lots of compliments on how well the food tasted!! Their sweet potatoes are to die for, but seriously, all of their food is delicious!! Stop here for your BBQ wedding menu!!

My husband and I decided to hire them to cater our wedding reception. When we were still in the process of deciding our various vendors, one of my sisters recommended Deep Run Roadhouse as they had recently catered a birthday party. I contacted Deep Run and they very quickly sent over a catering menu and a packet of information. They also set up a free tasting event for my husband and I- AND TWO GUESTS. We both chose our mothers. Going into the tasting event, we were told we would leave full but it was amazing to see everything they had set up. We were served in a room off to the side of the restaurant. We got nice sized portions of almost everything on the menu. They had inquired about food allergies/sensitivies and I have several regarding red meat, pork, etc. When we got there, everything that I couldn't eat was on its own tray away from me. The worker helpfully explained all of the food, the various plating and serving options, drinks and then respectively left the room while we tried everything and discussed the various food, prices, etc. He later returned and answered every question we had. My husband and I decided to hire Deep Run for our reception as the food was delicious and the price was fair. Throughout the process, they were easy to contact and answer any question we had. The day of the wedding, they delivered on time, and were very professional in setting up. The food was fantastic! My husband and I heard a lot of comments from everyone enjoying the food. We ordered both pulled chicken and pork, texas rope sausage,green beans, roasted sweet potatoes, potato salad, Cole slaw, corn bread,rolls and tea. Everything was delicious and lots of brochures were taken from pleased guests. We were so happy and amazed at the wonderful service and food we received.

Brisket is awesome. Pork is tender and good portion. Chicken is moist and has great flavor. Collard greens done perfectly. This is a well run outfit, it gets busy for a reason.

I ordered take out for dinner. They got the order right and it was ready when I arrived. We had the brisket, Mac and cheese, and the pulled pork sandwich. All were delicious!

I always order delivered food which is consistently outstanding. Incredible brisket and Cuban sandwiches. Try all of the sides, especially the jalapeño mac ‘n cheese. Never have been disappointed.

We get a catering order at work at least three times a year, this was our first time ordering through deep run roadhouse and it won’t be our last. We like to try different places. The food was amazing. So many compliments from our staff. The chicken wings, brisket, and Mac n cheese were the biggest hits. The ordering process was easy. I changed our quote a few different times and the staff was just amazing with all the changes.

This was a take out order. Ready on time. Staff were helpful and had my order waiting. Resturants’s was busy and all seemed happy. Great family meal for busy nights.

Deep Run Roadhouse was the BEST part of our wedding! No doubt about it. The food was delicious and the catering staff were friendly, efficient and professional. ALL of our guests loved the food! Deep run roadhouse is hands down my favorite bbq place all around Richmond! Never disappointed! I go in for lunch and dinner often and have had catering from there a few times as well! High recommend to anyone considering them! Definitely get the jalapeño Mac!

We had this at a party and had to go back for more. Absolutely incredible food. My 6 year old had a bite of brisket and said “This is so good I could faint!”. Go get some.

The concept for their $22 BBQ Cheese Fries is good, but the execution needs work. What I essentially received was a thick slice of luke warm cheese over some left over dry brisket (which they charge extra for) on top of some overcooked waffle fries. I suggest they go for more of a cheese sauce over a moist chopped brisket and properly cooked fries. Steak fries would be even better. The portion also doesn’t have to be as big. I gave up half way, which is not normal and the ranch on the side was on point. PS Arrive early as seating is limited.

Admittedly, wasn't expecting much after finding this location but my girlfriend and I both enjoyed the food and staff here. We both got a pulled pork sandwich (this location calls it chopped pork but it's the same thing). I had slaw and pickles on mine. The table has a selection of sauces available for use, from house brands to major labels such as Texas Pete. I loved the in house sweet bbq sauce. The pulled pork tasted delicious with the combination of the slaw, pickles, pork and the sweet bbq sauce. Also got a side of bbq waffle fries which were tasty as well. Drinks mostly consisted of lemonade but I unsure of their selection of sodas if any. Overall, I was satisfied with my lunch. I do recommend at least giving their pulled pork sandwich a try.

I ordered on line and picked up. Ordering was very easy which is great! Picked up and someone was there to help me as soon as I walked in.

My church family and I use Deep Run Roadhouse for our annual gathering. They are easy peasy and professional to work with. The person taking my order was patient and was able to pull our previous order, making for no thinking on my part :) The delivery service....the lady was on time, set up everything, was professional, we offered to assist, she had her own method set up, asked if we were pleased and I was. My church family loved EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. It was more than enough for our small crew of 25, and everyone was happy. We were accommodated along with the food with plates, serving ware, napkins and sauces. 5 stars from us. Peace and blessings :)

Bummer that I have to change my review from 5 to 1….when I called to place a pick up order today the girl that answered kept saying “my friend” but was far from friendly, kept talking over me while I was trying to tell her my order and when I told her I had a large order, kept asking me is that all? multiple times and not in a nice way, just plain rude and I’ve not usually ever had that issue here before. Don’t accidentally ask for a large chicken sandwich you will get a full dissertation with attitude! Sad bc I brought my son here not too long ago while I was going through a really hard time and they made me feel like the number one customer, the guys at the counter were super nice to him and I, I hope they are still there. The food is amazing, but from now on I just won’t place a to-go order. 🤷‍♀️

Loved the service and atmosphere. Unfortunately my wife and I were disappointed this trip in the brisket. It wasn’t as flavorful as I have had in the past. The waffle fries were excellent, but the quantity received was not worth the price of a large at almost $9. They were also out of Pulled Pork which is understandable seeing as the line was almost out the door. Love supporting local restaurants but for the price this trip was disappointing.

One of the few places I have had hit it out the park every time I order the food is very consistent and good the wait time is never that long when they are even mid lunch rush and the brisket …. Oh my god that brisket is actually what dreams are made of

The person who greeted us was very friendly. That was the best part about this place. I ordered collard greens, sweet potatoes, ribs and pulled chicken. In the collard greens were more chewy stems than anything else. The potatoes were low quality and the chicken tasted partly gamey. My friend’s train wreck bowl was just that. The corn bread didn’t taste fresh baked and the butter wasn’t butter. All together everything was really bland. Again the person greeting us was very nice.

Always enjoy the brisket here and the wings, the train wreck bowl. The cornbread is to dive for make sure you order it. There ranch sauce isn't white nor red. Almost like a pink. No charge for extra sauce which comes in a dipping cup. The food is inexpensive but far outdoes any other BBQ IN TOWN!!!

It has become difficult to find good food from restaurants lately. We have had mostly bad experiences from chains and local restaurants in the last few years (not all, but most). I’m sure difficulties with staffing and pricing increases are the main contributors to this. Somehow Deep Run Roadhouse has it figured out. Our food is consistently fresh and flavorful, they have good customer service, it’s always clean, and we don’t have to wait long. We dine in at least twice per month on Sundays. Thank you!!

Had the Cuba sandwich with pork. Tasted great. Will return. The rest of group also enjoyed there lunch.

The bbq here is excellent, some of the best in Richmond.
