Every time we visit our friend in Herron we dine at the Depot for breakfast. The food is always delicious, and Laurie is a very friendly and attentive waitress. This is a restaurant where the locals go, and we also highly recommend it.

Excellent Friday fish dinners with coleslaw, fries, and a thick slice of homemade bread. Prices are reasonable. Nice country dining atmosphere if dining in. 3 piece dinner with sides was $11.99 and 2 piece dinner with sides was $9.99. Fish filets were very generous.

Always friendly and fast service! Good breakfast, lunch. Good pizza, too. Thankful it's open in an area that doesn't have many options.

Went for pizza and the garlic sticks and they were good. sticks were a big portion for the price. Seen some very good looking home cooked meals being served. Which we will be back for next trip to MI

Group of 7, had fish, Patty melt, Hot beef, Pizza and Salad with Ham and Cheese. Service, Price and FOOD was Excellent! Also good bean soup.

Very friendly staff but didn't get any food. Just needed directions. Had to wait a few minutes because the door chime didn't go off but I wasn't in a rush. For first timers like me and my sister, we didn't know we could go into the kitchen entrance to ask for help. Maybe a bell or sign for someone to let you know they're there when staff is busy in the back could be helpful

Convenient spot for us, and quick. Some updates have been made, appreciate those. Would love to see more fresh ingredients used for "heathy" options, but regardless it's a go to for us. Good pizza available after 4pm.

Biscuits and Gravy are AMAZING. The Sunday buffet is on point as well.

The building may not look like much but don't discredit this little restaurant...best breakfast around! I've never had better hash browns and homemade toast anywhere! The service is great!

I didn't think it felt very "homey" and the food was uninspired. I would give it 2 stars except that the solo waitress hustled to keep up. I should have driven to Alpena. Meatloaf: bland Onion rings: homemade? Just like mom heated up Green beans: good

The Depot is our favorite place to eat breakfast when we're at our Beaver Lake cottage. It's not big, but don't be afraid if you find the parking lot full. There's almost always at least one table available. Breakfasts are hearty, generous, and mostly homemade so on busy days it can take a few minutes longer to get your meal. That's okay with me, knowing that they're making me perfect over medium eggs or omelettes instead of reheating a bunch of frozen stuff from Sysco. Even their breads and desserts are homemade, also available at the store they own next door. Lunches and dinners are good, as is the pizza, but we're mostly morning patrons. I love their staff, too. They work hard, are super friendly and remember us from summer to summer.

Their beer battered fries are the best I've ever had! Great food and service!
