A good time, every time! Magic and comedy, live and close up. The theater is just the right size and very comfortable.

Very nice venue. The restaurant looked nice, tho we didn't eat (I wish we had). The staff could not have been nicer! Everyone we encountered was polite and professional.

Once again the show was brilliant! Fyi the restaurant is under new management. If you want to do dinner and a show get reservations and plan on showing up 4:30 for a 6:30 show.

Went to the Mentalist Jon Stetson show last night. What a blast! He was amazing as was Rich Bloc in some post show tricks. What a fun night. Well worth the money. Definitely coming back!

We were treated to the mentalist group known as the Evasons. They were absolutely fantastic and treated the audience to some incredible mind-altering entertainment. This was our first time at the theater and we were extremely impressed with the ambiance as well as the restaurant. The theater is intimate, however, the seats offer you more than ample space to relax and feel comfortable. There is no bad seat in the house and you feel like you are part of the show. We would recommend the theater to friends and family and will definitely be coming back.

Enjoyed a night of magic with my 15 year old son, Rich Bloch and the theatre staff are great. I look forward to visiting and seeing other shows at this lovely theatre. If you are looking for some family entertainment I highly recommend.

Attended a murder mystery dinner. We all had a ton of fun and the food was amazing. Big thank you to the servers for making sure my plates were all celiac friendly 😊

Such a lovely little theater. It is a surprise for such a small town. The history and magic show artifacts are super cool. The staff is very gracious and really go out of their way to be welcoming and create a personal experience. The shows that I have seen are pretty amateur, but that is to be expected for a small venue.

We love Dickens Parlour Theatre. We have attended multiple shows, some with dinner, always a good time. Go see Chris the master magician if you can, he is talented!

Had reasonable hopes and it was better than expected. Kevin Bethea was superb - every trick absolutely amazed us and he was a true entertainer! We laughed, we smiled, we scratched our heads. It was simultaneously more local/intimate and professional than we’d expected - the best of both worlds. We got there about 45 minutes prior to the show and had a drink in the parlour before getting admitted to the intimate theater. Rick, the owner, stopped at our table to welcome us to the venue and to invite us to a post-show show in the parlour he did for 15 minutes (also amazing). For someone with hood background (look him up), he was so humble and personable…and a great magician. But Kevin was the star of the show and his hour + was worth every penny. Rich’s post-show show was the icing on the cake. We’ll be back.

We went to comedy night. On Saturday evening. Very funny and very entertaining. With definitely recommended for the family.

Brian Curry was the act tonight. He is a "mind reader." My grandson was used twice during the show, and he was definitely not prepped in advance. I'm less skeptical because of that. Show was fun, and we're glad we went.

My family and I visited to see the Mentalist. We had such a great time! The show was great and the food was fabulous. Will definitely visit again.

Excellent show, wonderful & friendly staff!

I have to say I was disappointed in the performance by Jon Stetson. I believe he connected with a few people in the audience and then he had a selling pitch on his crystals, crystal balls, thumb drives, books and sessions of $125 if you booked today. I think it would have been a much better presentation if he had everything typed up and briefly touched on his contributions to wounded warriors and furry friends at the end of the presentation instead of an infomercial in the middle interrupting one's thought pattern.

The music was absolutely amazing. Great muscians. Had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend their Wednesday jazz night.

Their jazz and brunch was fabulous. Encourage anybody to go it's every Sunday.

Great theater. Every seat is good, no matter where you sit. Seats are comfortable. Owner is very nice and will chat with you. Show we saw was ok. Would loved to have seen a magic show. We also ate there and enjoyed it a lot. The burger was terrific.

Tickets are a bit expensive. Visiting magician, Matt Roberts, was terrific! The facility is super nice. The elder magician had an aftershow, which was also great.

Went for Jazz dinner night and we were amazed. What a great time. The musicians were cream of the crop. The owner Richard is the consummate host. We can't wait to go back for a magic show in the theater. Staff was super!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a magic show and dinner event, and I must say it was a truly magical experience! From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The server was friendly, attentive, and made sure our dining experience was top-notch for my Dad’s 70th birthday. The dinner itself was delicious! But the highlight of the evening was, of course, the magic show. The performance was captivating, with mind-bending illusions. The magician was not only incredibly skilled, but also had a charismatic stage presence that drew everyone in. The show was well-paced, with a perfect blend of humor, suspense, and excitement. What made the experience even more special was when the owner of the venue surprised us with a mini magic show after the main performance. His passion for magic was evident, and he added a personal touch to the evening, and creating a memorable experience. Overall, I would rate this magic show and dinner event as a 5-star experience. The dinner was great, the server was fantastic, the show was amazing, and the owner's mini magic show was a delightful bonus. I would highly recommend this venue for a unique and memorable night out!

The Jazz Brunch was great! Music was fabulous and the food was delish! Would highly recommend! Only disappointment was the service was super slow on drinks and we could not use our “Dickens Theatre” gift card. The gift card does NOT specify you can only use for the Theater only…. Even though you are in the Dickens building?! As a gift, we were not aware of that.

Have only been here for a Harry Potter special even around Christmas with my kids. It was fun and a cool environment. Would love to go back for a show.

Awesome performance theater in Ocean View, DE. We went in late Nov 2022 for a magic show. The staff is friendly and the place provides a fun atmosphere for both kids and adults. The restaurant is wonderful. Very tasty menu options for a pre-show dinner.

I can't say enough good things about this place as it isn't enough room here!!!!! The staff is very friendly, the food is great, the service is great, the shows have a comfy atmosphere and are terrific. You feel like you are the only person in the audience. I met the owners and they make you feel right at home (as the rest of the staff do). A very enjoyable evening!!!!!! Look forward to returning.

Lunch at the theater was better than expected. The quality and taste of the food were top end restaurant quality, not the institutional type we had expected; it was a very pleasant surprise. The entire venue was extremely clean and refreshing, and so was the staff as well as attentive. Our theater selection was a one man magic show that entertained us throughout the performance. We left there confident that we will become loyal patrons and are looking forward to future performances.

Great little theater that has magic shows, Broadway music, plays and a variety of other entertainment. Fun for the whole family! Intimate 60 seat theater with attached dining room. Dinner and theater option or just go for the show. You will not be disappointed.
