Gave them another chance after not being too impressed with food 2years ago and got severe food poisoning almost immediately after eating. Spent over $30 for one dinner - butter chicken, raita and papadam. I love Indian food. Didn’t taste good, but didn’t want to not eat a meal I paid so much for. Wish I could report to health dept, but no online portal to do so.

The food here is finger-licking good. We had ordered Dal-makhani, Kadhai-paneer and butter naan and it was awesome. It just took us back to the restaurants of Punjab. After a long time my wife and were able find a joint so good that satisfied our craving for the north Indian cuisine. Full stars for everything.

We met Guri who owns this restaurant and we told him how great the food was here. We were looking for good Indian food and my wife's friend Rachel told us this is the place to go. She was absolutely right! Even our server Ash was great with quick service and with a smile! We will be back and we will tell others! A+

The staffs are very courteous & well mannered. The ambiance of the restaurant was excellent and food was very tasty with right balance of spices. It was not that spicy compared to the other Indian restaurants. We will visit again very soon.

Let me start by saying the food is AMAZING! Really. It’s delicious. But I just want to let people know, be prepared to wait. I have eaten inside and waited almost an hour for an appetizer, and overall have waited hour and half for food (DINE IN). I have also ordered TAKE OUT three times and each time have waited over 30-55 min past my pick up time to get my food. Overall, the food is wonderful but be prepared to wait on it whether it’s take out or dine in. For the price of the food, you’re better off going down the road in Clearwater to get faster service. Can’t promise the food will taste better though!

This was my first time there and to be fair, I've recently had a stroke and my taste buds have been effected. I was hoping for a spicy meal and not knowing what I was ordering doesn't make me a very good judge. I'll be giving this place another try.

Great, authentic North Indian cuisine

This is hands down the BEST Indian restaurant in Tampa. Service is excellent. Food is perfectly spiced consistently. You must try the tandoori chicken and samosa chaat. My family “discovered” this place only a week ago and have been back already. The restaurant is clean and they treat you like family.

I love this place I always eat here I live up the road I just ate here just now I was the last one in the place I literally closed on the place I pre-ordered my food they are amazing here and they serve me so late I'm so appreciative my food was amazing and the service was awesome it's a family owned restaurant and they have amazing Indian food very authentic Indian food you have to try it.

The manager greeted us and suggested very good menu items to suit our taste buds! We are very satisfied and will go more often. We recommend all to try out!!

My wife and I really like this place. It’s non descript but the food is certainly not. Most authentic Indian food you can find around this area, I’ve many Indian coworkers and traveled there many times for work. Take a stab at something different than butter chicken or tika masala. Tell the owners what flavors you like and order a chicken, vegetarian and seafood dish. We love the fish curry. The owners are a hoot and very friendly!

Food was great, service was pretty good, and while they had a beautiful scene playing in the background of various places in India, the restaurant itself has a pretty small “eat-in” area with somewhat small tables. The staff were very kind, but at times we had to wait a little bit for service. Overall however, it was a pretty good experience, and I’ll be glad to go back again

Discovery Indian Food is a very small place but their food is very big on flavor. The butter chicken was very delicious, and the garlic naan made it all a flavor treat. My husband got the mulligatawny soup, and the taste was quite yummy. We will definitely make this our place for delicious, authentic Indian food. Thank you!!

The food here is really delicious. The service is amazing. I love the buffet it’s reasonably priced for all you can eat. The buffet is hassle free everything is there you can regular naan and different choices of appetizers main courses rice and dessert. The chicken Korma is delicious it’s sweeter than what I’ve tried before but that’s what sets it apart from other Indian restaurants. My favorite dessert is Kheer because I am obsessed with rice pudding and there’s is pretty delicious too.

I cannot stop craving the Tandoori Chicken with cilantro mint chutney. Oh so good! Chicken Korma is also very good.

Hidden gem. Delicious food, the service is polite, nice and welcoming. The person who took care of us was patient and explained the dishes in a very easy way to understand since this was our first time in indian cuisine. Flavourful sauces and breads accompanied with fair prices.

We decided to try out this Resturant on a whim and loved it! The food was delicious, the menu was easy to understand, but what really blew us away was the amazing service. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a smile. Our waiter was very attentive and personable throughout our dinner. He even went above and beyond in making our mother's day dinner special by giving me a complimentary rose and chai tea. Highly recommend !

The food here was exceptional! It's been so hard finding Indian food here and so glad we found Discovery. You need to go here! Reasonably priced and great portions and so tasty and good.

Hands down it is the best Indian restaurant with best food and service. I stay pretty close by and I keep visiting it all the time . The food here is amazing. Palak paneer, butter chicken, biryani and chicken 65 are my personal favorites.

This place is an amazing hidden gem!

I have been wanting to try GOOD Indian cuisine for many years but have had a very difficult time finding anything that wasn't very basic take out style food. So, I've had a few curries, but that has been about it. Discovery Indian was recommended to me by a coworker and my wife who tends to eat a lot of vegetarian meals was interested as well. It is a little, non descript place in a small strip center. Do NOT let the location fool you. This place deserves it's own stand alone restaurant. Being new to Indian cuisine, I asked our waiter for a recommendation and he suggested the Lamb Tika Marsala. My wife went with the Paneer Tika Marsala. We also had veggie samosa for an appetizer and Garlic Naan with the meal. I ordered mine medium spicy as I like a little kick. They also offer mild, spicy and, "Indian spicy", lol. The flavors of everything we were brought were amazing and our server was wonderful. I have had different lamb dishes in the past and wasn't terribly thrilled with them. Here, it was delicious. I'm normally not big on vegetarian dishes, but the samosas were to die for. I can only hope more people find and support this wonderful little place as we were the only customers in the dining room at the time.

If you are a delivery driver stay away from this place. They made my Uber eats driver WAIT for 45 minutes to get my order. Like don't even request a driver unless the order is almost ready. I had to tip the driver more cause I felt bad for wasting their time.

I usually don’t write bad reviews even if I don’t like food. But the food you served is pathetic. Ordered chicken biryani and Gobi Manchuria In Uber eats. You guys made Gobi Manchuria with mold cauliflower and biryani is just flavored rice 😡

Have you ever starting eating food that was so good you just start dancing? That’s what happened to us! We were dancing in our seats! THEE BEST Indian cuisine my husband and I have ever had! We had the lamb and the fish this evening and both dishes were fresh and amazing! Their garlic naan was outstanding! And the staff was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended! My boyfriend and I stopped in on a Thursday afternoon. We were in the mood to try something new and this place did not disappoint! We had the opportunity to speak to the chef and he let us know what items were top sellers and explained a few dishes to us. He even let us test taste a few things. He was very informative, kind, and funny. We settled on a few different curries, a dessert, and an appetizer. The food was amazing and we will definitely be back again :)

This is by far the best Indian food I have had in a long time the butter chicken is phenomenal. I ordered and had it delivered via Uber Eats. The food was still steaming hot when it arrived.

Ordered Chicken Korma for take out. Was told it would be 30 minutes, (OK). One hour and fifteen minutes later our order came out. It was Butter Chicken (not Chicken Korma). My wife told the cashier it didn't look like what we ordered. The cashier told my wife "well that's what it is" with obvious attitude. The chicken whatever it was , was full of cartilage and fat. What else can I say about this place, the garlic nan was good but that's about it. Bad food, bad service, bad attitude. Check out the picture below. Does that look like Chicken Korma? I think not. NEVER AGAIN

The food was delicious, the pick up was fast and easy, the location not that great but if the rent is lower and that gets passed along in the cost then it's OK. Only about 6 or 8 tables with no windows inside. We prefer to go and eat on the beach almost like being in India.

Our first visit after receiving a recommendation. This was a lunchtime dine-in. We were greeted and seated straight away. We were offered water. We also ordered mango lassi and chia tea. I actually wanted a salted lassi but that was not available. We shared an appetizer Aloo Tikka Chat. This was prepared very well and was delicious. We ordered a variety of main dishes: Kadai Chicken, Lamb Chettinad, Chicken Korma, Chicken Vindaloo, Aloo Gobi and Dal Tadka. Basmati rice was included. We also ordered a bread basket. The service was very friendly and attentive. Even the owner/chef came to greet us and check we were happy with the food. He was very passionate about the food and it showed. The presentation of each dish had eye appeal and set expectations. The food was excellent. The restaurant has only been open a few weeks. If they keep this level of service and quality of food they will maintain an excellent reputation. They provide a lunchtime buffet on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I will definitely give that try.

We stopped for the first time at Discovery Indian Cuisine a week ago for lunch...what to say? Four hours later I had thoughts of going back for dinner! The service was excellent, the chef came out to ask us how our meals were, the chicken korma, curried lamb and garlic naan were truly outstanding, the layers of flavor were just amazing. We both ordered heat level 3, next time I might try level 4. Excellent experience gentlemen, thank you and see you again!

Had a fantastic experience at Discovery Indian Cuisine! The Aloo Naan and Mater Paneer were absolutely amazing. We've visited multiple times on our way back from Tarpon Springs, and the staff is super friendly and fun to interact with. Definitely planning to come back again!

Moved from Atlanta with a multitude of wonderful authentic Indian food choices. This food was AMAZING!! So happy to have Indian food this side of town and absolutely some of the best I have EVER had. This is a must to try. Incredible. Authentic, perfectly seasoned, basmati rice practically melts on the tongue...Please do yourself a huge favor and treat yourself to this place! Take a break from Florida's fried average chain restaurant food and go here! You will be so happy you did!

Tikka Masala is absolutely delicious. Have tried at least 6 other dishes and they all supersede expectations! You wouldn't think much of it based on the restaurants locations being at a gas station, but it's definitely a hidden gem that everyone in Western Tampa Bay raves about!

Discovery Indian Cuisine is an amazing place --theres nothing else like it in this area!! The owners are a very hard working Indian Family. The food is so good and authentic-- as if to transport you to India with every delicious bite!! We get take-out several times a week from the original Palm Harbor location. A second location in Lutz just opened --and its even better than the first!! Every Dish is Highly Recommended--We LOVE the Food!!

My husband and I have been wanting to try Indian Cusine and were told this is the go to spot. You know the expression "a little dive or hole in the wall"....Well don't let the appearance fool you!!!! The service spectacular, the food FANTABULOUS!!!! My husband had the chicken korma, DELISH!! I had the chicken chettinad which was DIVINE!!!! I had a mango lassi drink and ooouuuuiiiii taste buds burst with pleasure. We will definitely be back to enjoy delicious food and excellent service!!!!! When you are here, you are treated like family. The staff and owner are so friendly, the customer service is Top Notch! The food is so amazingly delicious and filling. The portion sizes are just right. The flavor on all their dishes are so authentic. Samosas are my favorite! The wings were surprisingly sweet and packed with flavor. First time stopping in and the employees were BEYOND amazing. I guess we stopped in during food photo shoot day so they had a platter of different foods on the table they allowed us to sample.
