Food… meh. Keeps the Irish vibe when it comes to cocktails - beer and wine only. The fish finger basket is delicious and much larger than you expect. Parking is limited but valet is available.

The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for a beachside bite & beer. Despite being there during the busy lunch hour, the staff—from the valet (complimentary) to the waiters—were all attentive and polite. If you're looking for a cool spot, the upstairs area has AC, but it fills up fast, so plan ahead. Overall, a great spot to chill and enjoy some good food by the ocean!

Nice local place with hometown feel. Our server Brad was accommodating even though the place was packed. Cash only, but atms are available. Great comfort food.

Went for dinner. The server asked my cousin how he would like his burger and she said that she couldn’t cook it that way and told him that she didn’t want him to eat it like that. Also no free refills on soda except iced tea and coffee (they don’t have sweet tea) also 4 small shrimp on the 2 shrimp tacos they give you with a lot of cucumber slices, onions, and tomatoes. Worst restaurant on the beach to be real honest.menu isn’t even correct online they took half of the stuff off.

I'm new to the area so we were looking for a beachside bar to take in the view. We had heard about Doc's, so we decided to give it a try. View: Excellent Grouper Sandwich: Excellent Fries: Excellent Cole Slaw: not so much Beer and Wine only, so a bit disappointing. But now we know what to expect, so it is what it is. A combination of Sports Bar, Beach Bar, and Eats. So it should appeal to a wide audience. Definitely worth a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

My parents moved to Bonita in 2020. I found docs on my first visit and it has become my favorite place for a drink, beach visit, and the best sunsets

They couldn't have picked a better location. Food was good, service was great, location was 100 out of 10. My family meet my brothers family there for dinner. Great place to have conversations with a large group, and when the sun set, even the locals stopped to watch.

I think we were poisoned. We ate burgers and some beer. At night I didn’t feel well. I ve been vomiting all morning. Now I am ok. They accept only cash. So, be careful.

It's great if you are at the beach and get hungry, but not for a sit down dinner. Food wasn't anything special.

Food was average, the heavier set brown haired man needs a attitude check. Service was incredibly poor and they only accept cash.

Came to the beach to enjoy the day with friends & happened upon Doc’s. What a delight! Had the sliders & waitstaff suggested a great IPA to accompany the meal. Also picked up a few t-shirts & such to round out the day!!

Great breakfast - omelettes with REAL hash browns, toast and English muffins. Many options; we highly recommend the breakfast.

When I was here at 2022 we wanted to get some food to eat so we decided to go here. It looked like a place with good food and I was right. When I got a fish from there it was so good! I added some lemon to make It better and overall this place is 5 stars.

There was no service at the tables next to the shore and the stone tables were surrounded by garbage. When I came into the building the guy who took my order was very rude and I couldn't pay with card. The Chicago sandwich is big but doesn't taste good, and the hot dog is decent in flavor but too simple and small. Not bad for the price, I had to order another 2 hot dogs bc couldn't eat that nasty sandwich and the guy in the register didn't put my order to the kitchen so I spent more than 30 minutes waiting for those simple hot dogs. People that place their order after than I were having their orders first. The beach is great but that place for eating is not even close to good.

Ordered fish fingers, wasn't cooked enough. Should have sent back, but everything else was good.

If you order out and stay in because of weather, etc, they asked you to leave because you ordered out!!!! HOW RUDE!!! You already tipped them, still you’re throwing out!! WHAT THE HELL she said that’s the rule by the owner!! WHAT!?!!

Things to know - they will park your car (complimentary). The restaurant is cash only (ATM on site for a fee). No kids menu. Pizza is only available after 4 p.m. No a/c. No free refills of soda. We spent 4 days in the area as a family of 5. This was by far our most expensive meal (we only got entrées/regular drinks). The food was decent, but the experience was aggravating. I gave 4 stars because it looks like maybe the area is trying to rebuild after last year's hurricane, and that quite possibly might be the reason for their limitations and prices.

Wasn't much of a visit as the valet failed to mention they weren't serving any alcohol except beer and wine. My son was here for a visit and wanted dinner and drinks so we didn't stay because we wanted a different type of evening. The employees tried to be accommodating and were very nice 👍

Stopped here on a recommendation for their Chicago Tavern Style pizza. Not disappointed! Crust was thin & crispy, great sausage with fennel, and a good sauce. Best tavern style we’ve found so far in SWFL!

Ok, so we've been going there since before hurricane Ian. Discovered this great place upon moving down here from up north. We loved going to this place for good food great views and friendly service. We were devastated that this place was so badly damaged by the hurricane and thought that was the end of that. But no they renovated and restored and the place is back better than ever, however this was our first time back since the hurricane and it was almost like nothing ever happened. The vibe was just about the same and it was busy. The prices had gone up naturally!! The food was still very good. My Big disappointment was the service. I get it, they are busy, but I'm still spending my hard earned money there and the service was extremely lacking and slow. Some people just need to face it, their waiting table days are over, sit down and knit some afghans!!! I don't know if they have staffing issues but I was angry and wanted to talk to the manager about it but she was TOO BUSY to want to even hear what I had to say!!! That's exactly what she said!! " I'm too busy!" And walked away. I won't be back because of that.

Disappointing. For a piña colada they charge $11, they give you ice with coconut, in a crappy plastic cup and with an absorbent that can't even be used. They only accept cash payments.

Delicious shrimp tacos! The absolute best key lime pie. Fun atmosphere. Reasonable prices for quality, fresh food! Also have a few gluten free foods.

Hands down the worst place I've sat down to eat by the beach. Cash only. Styrofoam cups. Bagged chips as a side with entree. I understand it was one server, but when I left, there were only 2 tables besides mine, and I waited almost 20 minutes for the check after we finished eating.

Servers and bartenders are like family,(not the ones you hate). Can't wait to move to Bonita permanently. Good food and beautiful location - however it was EXTREMELY disappointing to find our beverages served in giant Styrofoam cups. For a restaurant located right on the beach to serve foam cups, plastic straws, AND use foam to-go containers in this day and age is such a shame. They are a beachfront restaurant serving food and drinks in plastic foam, a major culprit of ocean pollution. Plastic foam doesn’t degrade and breaks down into smaller and smaller toxic pieces, or microplastics, that are harmful to all life, including humans. Unfortunately, despite the good food, there is no way I can go back to Doc’s and support a restaurant on the ocean that is actively contributing to ocean pollution. I hope this is something they will reevaluate and make changes to in the near future.

It was a good experience, not great like others have suggested. For being a self proclaimed Chicago bar the the Italian beef was mediocre at best. Pizza and seafood were high points. Service was good but not great. Would have been nice to not be stuck waiting to pay the bill for 20 minutes after we were ready to leave.

Service was a little slow, we waited around at the end of our meal after asking for a box but they never brought one so we just left. Regardless, the food was fantastic! I had the blackened salmon plate, and I thought it was phenomenal!! Seriously, it was amazing!! The fries were also really good, and the roll we were served was super fresh. I was super impressed with the food, service was just a little lacking.

Great view,good food. Gets busy during sunset times, they have a tiki bar at the beach as well, valet parking . We will be back love the tuna appetizer.

We went on Father’s Day as I wanted to “ Treat my hubby” with breakfast on the beach… Unfortunately, best thing there was the music and I will add to service as our lady server was very nice . The food was terrible… I had a Ham/Cheese/ Egg sandwich : cheese was VAL-VITA YUCK , Egg was over cooked , ham ok . Coffee $3.50 in paper cup Husband had fruit plate , no taste . We shall not go back there , sorry as we truly wanted to support Doc’s as we do local businesses after the hurricane !

Unfortunately, we were not able to eat. We had decided on this place after studying menus from several restaurants. It was pouring rain and we drove by twice trying to figure out where to park. We were able to read “No Beach Parking” so pulled in and parked beside the only vehicle in their lot. There were some orange cones near the sign. A very rude man came out and repeatedly kept asking if we had seen the cones. Apparently there was valet parking only. We had no idea. He got in the driver’s seat while I was getting my things together and kept on harping. I told him we would just go somewhere else. He was standing out in what likely was the valet attendant’s booth when we pulled out. I wish he had been there as we pulled in to avoid this. The rain hindered our being able to figure all this out better.

The service and the atmosphere are great but the food is not so. The fish had no taste, and they served it on top of the fries, which completely messed the taste of the fries. And for some reason, they strictly accept cash only, which is very inconvenient.

I didn't eat or drink at this time. I hadn't been down to the beach since Hurricane Ian. I was checking this out. I wish I had brought my bathing suit with me, it was beautiful!

If you come to this restaurant bring cash. No cards. Our server got upset at us because when she took the money for our bill she asked if we wanted the change back. We said we did. We were going to give her 20%, not 30% and she told us to just keep it when she brought the change back. Very bad attitude. She completely misunderstood. We did leave her a 20% tip, we shouldn't have. Not a good experience.

I never give a bad review but my advice is drink here and enjoy the sunset, don't eat here.

Great place directly on a beautiful beach. You can rent wave runners, umbrellas & beach lounge chairs right outside of Docs beach house.

So glad to be able to see them back in action after all they have been through! The familiar faces and catching up feels like some normalcy after the storm we all needed! The pizza and a beer on the beach for sunset doesn’t get any better this. Make sure to visit our favorite downstairs girls Sloan and Ashlie!

Docs is really a good neighbor for Bonita Beach

Enjoyed good tasting sliders and fries with an assortment of local craft beers while watching over the gulf waves from the upper deck and also moved to the water front beach tables.

I had the fish and shrimp tacos, good meal if your almost a vegetarian...fish and shrimp quantity is quite skimpy.

Been here dozens of times, but only for the sunsets. The Pizza was recommended so we went yesterday to try and it's fantastic. Thin crust Chicago "pub style", cooked perfectly. Pizza only available after 4 PM. Great view from upstairs bar area. Cash only. Beer, wine and seltzer's only.

You can get food to eat on the beach, we got the clam strips which were very good. A bit confusing to place orders though, multiple entrances so not sure where the line starts.

Table never cleaned,used cups on it, bugs everywhere, never explain the final ticket, we ask for a manager and the staff laughed. Not coming back.

This was my first time going to Doc's Beach House. Fun time with my parents watching the sunset and having dinner to enjoy it all. I got a photo of myself pretending to hold the sun with my hand.

I personaly think they have the best buffalo wings around so far also known for there pizza. You cant beat the location ...and the staff is amazing ...we go almost every sunday ...on the beach..amaxing sunset...beer and wine...they are cash only but never botherd us and they have atms there..it is valet parking only and they are great ...they strive when its busy so just be patient they will get to you... nothing but good times and good spirits

First and foremost, the location is absolutely wonderful. If you sit on the second floor, you look out on to a beautiful beach. There is an outside area where you can purchase food and sit at the tables on the sand and look out over the beach. We were so excited to introduce Docs to our friends as we have been coming here for years and we wanted them to experience the location and their great pizza. Unfortunately for us we arrived at 1:00 pm and the waitress told us that they didn’t serve pizza until 4. Disappointed, but thinking since their pizza and appetizers were good, the rest of the food must be good. We were so wrong. Between the hamburgers, the chicken fingers and the beef sandwich, the food was definitely less than mediocre. It was such a huge disappointment and we were actually embarrassed that we raved about this place and the food was horrible. It’s not cheap so that didn’t help the situation. To sum up this review if you go to Docs for drinks, pizza and fries, it won’t disappoint. The rest of the food, not worth the money.

I recently had brain surgery and I am on a very restricted diet. Can’t have anything fried or eat any sides. They would not sell me mahi-mahi à la cart. They wanted me to pay $23 for a small piece of meat, no exceptions! NOT RIGHY!!!!

They have a great location and plenty of half naked women running around to stay in business, but if the location was different, I don't think they would stay open. I was not impressed with the food. We went with menu items with stars, indicating they were favorites. Both Chicago staples. Maybe it's because I live in Illinois, I don't know. But, I've had much better for less. One more thing to consider. I don't want to discourage anyone from wearing a thong bikini, but how sanitary is that? I mean, don't change your dress code on my account! Just improve the food. The Italian beef was dry with a weird flavor, and the Chicago wiener was smaller than the pickle slice and there were so many onions, that's all I could taste.
