Love the atmosphere here. So pretty and great date night spot. Every time food is great. I'm not a steak person and I even love their steak. Best supper club

What use to be a good value and great food, it appears they are cheapening the bread service, the salad, and the main meal. $18.00 for a glass of cheap wine?

My husband and I visited Door County for the first time and wanted to try a supper club. SO glad we went to Donny Gliddens. We had a reservation for 6:30 but arrived early around 6:00 on purpose to check out the scenery and have an old fashioned (first time). All the staff was wonderful, the bartender talked with us a bit and was very friendly. Our server was Gretchen who was so great! We had the stuffed shrimp appetizer special which was amazing. My husband had the lamb chops for dinner which he absolutely loved and I had the salmon with shrimp. It was SOO good. The portion was also very generous. We were too full for dessert but I imagine their desserts are amazing as well. On top of the great food and service, the views are stunning. Next time we are in Door County we will absolutely be back to Donny Gliddens.

We had a incredible experience here. The view is incredible. We had made reservations which allowed for no wait. the atmosphere is welcoming yet provides enough privacy for a nice dinner. Staff are professional and friendly. Food & drinks were amazing. Highly recommend and look forward to being back !

One of Door County's fine dining restaurants offering a varied menu of expertly prepared entrees. Monday nights are lobster special nights. Steak and lobster is a favorite. Cocktails are good. Reservations are a must. Suitable for children. Very pretty view of the Lake Michigan.

A very popular spot in Door County, don’t even think about showing up without a reservation. To get your ideal time, you will need to call more than a week in advance in the summer. The service is impeccable. The food is quite good although I wouldn’t call it amazing. The view is wonderful. Prices are relatively high, but why wouldn’t they charge what they do with the demand they’ve got? Worth a visit.

Wonderful experience overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan. Amazing service, absolute nicest staff and great food. Celebrated a 9 person family reunion, could not have been better.

Not sure how we discovered this place but the rib eye is to die for and the Manhattan’s don’t get me started. Lovely view of the lake. We go every year we are in the area. See you in September.

Such a beautiful restaurant. My family and I come to Door County every year on vacation and always make sure to have a nice dinner here. We love to have a photo shoot outside with a cocktail before heading in for dinner. The atmosphere is great, not too noisy or bright. The food is great and prices are not too steep. I got the duck paired with a red wine and it was delicious. I took half home. The ONLY thing was that the shrimp cocktail was sub par. We love it here.

Service would've been average for a place like Denny's or Perkins, but when your spending at least $50-100 a head on a special birthday dinner for your daughter and family, it needs to be better. Energy was pretty flat and annoyed affect. Charging $3-4 for a soda refill was insulting when they didn't say anything about it and I didn't realize it until looking over the bill at the end. My daughter had the pesto pasta with scallops and shrimp that she said tasted okay, but made her very sick the following 2 days until it got out of her system. I'll spare the details, but she felt horrible, was nauseas the first day, which culminated in cold sweats and spending the 2nd night (post meal) in the toilet. Thankfully she felt better once it had gotten out of her system. I thought the Prime Rib was pretty good, but lacked some flavor. I ate it for 2 meals though, so it was a good sized piece of meat. Fresh caught perch and walleye route would've been the safer play for my daughter, but hindsight is 2020.

Lovely view & service, but the food was not the greatest. My husband & I had to stop eating it, the steaks looked steamed, it had no flavor at all. We had onions on our steaks & it was like a whole onion on top. The whole plate didn’t look appetizing whatsoever. Disappointed because it was my birthday dinner. Didn’t want to send it back and ask for anything else because I didn’t want to see what else they would bring out.

Old school Wisconsin dinner club done right. One of the best and a quintessential Door County experience. Love coming here with the family. We typically do New Year's Eve and the 4th of July every year. Food is always great. Would really love to see the salad bar come back. Pepper Pot soup, escargot and crab cakes are terrific. Steak, tune fish fry... All great.

Had reservations for a Friday night for 6 people. Table was ready on time with a nice view of the lake. Food was quite good. Server, unfortunately, not as good. Forgot to bring things we asked about, couldn't hear what she was saying when she told us about the specials and messed up the checks. Yes, they were busy but was a bit disappointed with our server.

Lazy, refuse take out orders of their dinning room is full. Hostess was dismissive when I expressed my disappointment.

Our first proper, Up North supper club. Very pleasant staff, great view from our table. Food was well prepared and delicious. Cocktails were good too.

Thursday night prime rib is a hit. Family loved their steaks and each of the other courses. Soup was fantastic and none of the options had dairy (huge plus for our allergy family). Service really makes or breaks a dinner and I have to say service was above 5 stars, absolutely stellar! It made our food better. Thank you Donny Gliddens and Izzy for our amazing experience, we'll be back for sure.

Lovely atmosphere and beautufulbview of view of the lake. Food was good. Had a large party with 2 waitresses, one waitress was great the other not so much. I would go again.

A classic supper club with mediocre food. Prime rib was bland and cooked to death. Drinks are strong with good sweetness. Beautiful views of white fish dunes. Avoid the stuffed shrimp and steak.

Good as always! Every seat in the place is a great view. Lobster was best in a very long time, Bar and lounge area is a one of a kind.

This is a great gem in Door County. The pan fried walleye was out of this world. Great old time atmosphere with excellent views. Show up early for a nice drink before dinner.

My family and I have been coming to door county for over 20 years and this is one of our favorite places. The location is gorgeous and you can wander about before your meal or after throughout the property. They offer seating inside and out, and the staff is simply amazing. Everyone is helpful, friendly, and patient. If you have any special dietary restrictions, please let them know. Everyone is more than willing to accommodate Their menu is huge and offers a ton to choose from lots of goodies. Thank you all for your hospitality and looking forward to seeing you soon! ❤️‍🔥

This is such a nice place to go for having dinner with beautiful scenery. The views were gorgeous. The food was good but not as good as we expected considering the price.

Donny’s Glidden Lodge is one of the best restaurants in Door County. They have beautiful lake views, and the food is consistently excellent. This is becoming our “go to “ restaurant for out of town guests and for special occasions.

Beautiful views and delicious food!

Had a fantastic dinner here on a Friday evening. Service was warm and friendly, food was delicious, and the views were beautiful. The veggies in the salad were crisp and fresh, the trout and walleye were cooked to perfection, the sides (particularly the mashed potatoes) were excellent as well. My partner and I also shared the shrimp appetizer and it was so flavorful and delicious, worth going just for that. Highly recommend, would go again.

Everything was excellent. Sitting there with my wife, watching ducks float by and waves crashing in from the bay. The service and food were both excellent.

This restaurant was the highlight of our trip & was a perfect choice for my birthday dinner! The food was absolutely delicious! I got the tenderloin with a loaded baked potato and sautéed onions, my steak was cooked to perfection. My husband got the tenderloin & shrimp with the roasted potatoes and he loved his meal too. For dessert I recommend the Oreo Cheesecake! Our only feedback is that when the waitress was going over the specials they offered they had so many we lost track of what she was saying. I love that they had so many things on special but felt bad for the waitress having to go through all them at every table! And unfortunately I have a very short attention span so I lost interest in the specials list quickly! Everything was very tasty and the waitress was very friendly and offered great service! This place is a little bit pricier but you definitely get what you pay for. The atmosphere and interior of the restaurant was unique and gorgeous along with a lot of big windows to view the water, even if you're not sitting directly at the window you still can enjoy the beautiful view! 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a fancier dining option in Door County with a waterfront view! We are already talking about coming back the next time we visit DC!

Fantastic supper club. I had Artichoke Dip, The Glidden, lobster tail, and plain cheesecake for dessert. Food was superb. Service was excellent. View was great.

Amazing views on Lake Michigan in a classic stone walled rustic building. The King Cut Prime Rib was excellent! 12oz Filet was a great cut of meat. Fantastic cheesecake desert and we had incredible service from Joanne who has been with Donnie Gliden's for 26+ years!!! We also did some high end, allocated bourbon tasting with Tim, the owner. A++ experience and highly recommended to visit, one of the best supper clubs in Wisconsin.

It was a very good meal. The prime rib was the best that I have had in a while, very impressed. I am a little disappointed that they did not have filet mignon, but they did well with the tenderloin. The lobster. It was slightly dry, but it was still good. I would certainly go back for the prime rib. It was that good... The shrimp cocktail appetizer was very good also.

This is the best steakhouse in door county worth the money . The beautiful scenery of lake Michigan is breathtaking.Make sure you make reservations and get ready to have the best steak you ever had and seafood I love this place and I can't wait to come back and have dinner . Excellent food and entire staff!

My husband and I wanted a supper club on our weekend away. Made reservations at Donny's. It was off season and they were full, but we were lucky that there was a cancellation. We both ordered different type of steaks....they were cooked to perfection. The garlic mashed potatoes were melt in your mouth delicious, as were the vegetables. The dining room was so well laid out and beautiful. Gorgeous big windows looking out over the lake. Friendly and great staff. I highly recommend, especially for a date night. Pricey, but soooo worth it.

Group of 6. Excellent experience for 1st time visiting. Beautiful Old World/European style atmosphere. Server “Gretchen” professional & prompt. Food absolutely delicious. Will return as now a most favorite place to dine. Also We had ice cream drinks for dessert & they were so good. Staff present there very welcoming

It was our first time at Donny's Glidden Lodge. The decor is very cozy. Large fireplace with a water view. The menu was simple but covered the basics. The food was delicious and the service very good. We will return to Donny's.

This is our go to place when we are in Sturgeon Bay. The beef tenderloin tips with green beans were amazing and even the leftovers melted in your mouth. Great soup and bread.

Love Donny's even though i only go maybe once a year I am always very satisfied with the meal (signature dinner is my favorite) staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend however I hear in summer months you need a reservation far in advance. 100% worth it.

Donny’s Glidden Lodge is one of my all-time favorites. Food is delish and the cozy atmosphere is unmatched. You can’t go wrong with a meal here. Call ahead for reservations so you get your pick of dining times :)

Had the prime rib and it was some of the best I've had in a very long time. My girlfriend got the steak and shrimp which was done to her liking(which can be challenging). Service was very good.

A quaint rustic dining experience. Love the stone walls. Very inviting with fireplace and wreath during the holiday season.

I highly recommend Donny's Glidden Lodge Restaurant. The restaurant if I had to describe it was high class north woods. If you want to dress up you'll fit in. If you want to wear jeans and go casual, that'll work too. Our waitress was very responsive. The food was excellent. I have almost given up on ordering steaks at restaurants because I've had so many bad steaks over the years. I decided to give the filet mignon a try and did not regret it. It was excellent! I'll also say that my old fashioned was great also.

Several cousins got together for a weekend in Door County. Made reservations 3 weeks prior- group of 8. Our waitress was great, she told us the specials and there were only 2 halibut left, when 2 of us said we'd take them she literally turned and hustled to the kitchen to be sure we'd get them. Others had prime rib or steak. Our meals were fabulous! Not one complaint from 8 women 🙂 And only one to go container. Wait staff was very attentive. Next time we will have to go during the day- I was told they have a view of the lake. I would definitely recommend!

Food was good but was surprised to hear they use a machine to cook the steaks. Sauerkraut soup was a real treat. Desserts were very good but not made in house. We do want to go again on German night. Servers were all very friendly and excelled at their jobs! But the view stole the show!! I would like to see better signage closer to the road. But it was a snowy windy evening.

I hate to say it, but honestly the worst steak I've had in my life. It's clear that no seasoning or effort was put into cooking it. Was also disappointed that I requested a waterview table for our anniversary, but we were not seated at one even though one was available. We would have happily waited longer for a better table if necessary. Just sort of an unfortunate experience all around.

This is one of those places that you will always want a return visit. Can't say enough about the food, wines, people, and atmosphere. Reservations a must!

Recommended by a fellow at Simon's Winery. He was correct......this is a very nice place to eat out. My steak was incredibly tender as was wife's prime rib. The restaurant is right on Lake Michigan. My only critique......the beef could use more seasoning. .

We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration at the Donny’s Glidden Lodge Restaurant! I particularly loved my artichoke dip with pita chips, the New England style clam chowder, and a 12 oz tenderloin perfectly prepared, with red potatoes and green beans! The appetizer was large enough to share between four people. Our server, Joann, was very attentive and we had a window table with a beautiful view of the Lake Michigan shore. ❤️

When searching for supper clubs, this came up as the highest rated for the area and it did not disappoint. We called the day of (on a Saturday) and asked if they had any reservations which they did not. We just decided to have an early dinner and try to walk up. We were pleasantly surprised when we got seated. The food, service and views were amazing. Highly recommend, if you’re in the area, to go.

The ambiance with all the windows so you can see the Bay is so awesome. The Prime Rib was mouthwatering. The walleye was juat okay. The ahi tuna appetizer, we asked them to bring it plain... wow was it tasty. And the desert, Lemon Berry Marscapone desert was out of this world!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! I ordered the Ribeye. But this was no ordinary Ribeye, it was sent down to earth by God Himself. It was the most heavenly thing that has ever touched my palette. It was melt in your mouth tender and every bite was so flavourful that I literally closed my eyes and shut out everything that was going on around me so I could focus on each bite. Every time I went to cut another piece off of this glorious masterpiece, I would get goosebumps because I knew the flavour explosion that was about to grace my taste buds. They have a cute salad bar and the clam chowder soup was very tasty but nothing on this great earth could even come close to the excellence of that Ribeye. The view was gorgeous, you are right on the shore of lake Michigan, just absolutely stunning.

Nice bar and good food, not great food. Presentation was very average for an upscale place. Slab of fish on a plate with a scoop of mashed potatoes amd limp green beans dumped on the side. Not that it matters hugely, the taste was good, but a little effort to make the food look better than diner food would make it feel a bit classier.

Classic Northern Wisconsin lodge. Gorgeous setting on Lake MI. Superb friendly service. High high end bourbons. Ice cream drinks. Lamb and Kabobs, green bean side cooked to Perfection! Thank you. Took us back to memories of Little Bohemia in Manitowac Waters.

Just had dinner at this Door county gem. Beautiful setting on the lake. We had the prime rib and the tenderloin. Absolutely delicious. Our server, Melissa, was very attentive and pleasant. I would recommend Donnys Glidden Lodge to everyone!!!
