Love a supper club and the Dorf Haus has such charm, amazing food and ice cream drinks for dessert. The Rouladen, Spaetzle and Rotkraut were very authentic. We will be back!

My husband and I traveled here to celebrate our 20-year wedding anniversary. He called ahead for reservations (Wednesday, 5pm). It was a special experience. The building is beautiful with a great history. Tables are spaced apart and the service is on point. We had sauerbraten and rahmschnitzel -- both were so good with no left overs! After dinner we walked around the reception hall and beer garden. Honestly, if you like German food or supper clubs, make this a destination!

Our party of four had dinner here Saturday night. Service was good and everyone is friendly. Two people had the prime rib special and it was very good. Two people had German food and it was very, very mediocre and that’s being nice. Maybe it was an off night for the kitchen but we were disappointed as the reviews we read beforehand were very good.

I finally went here for dinner and was thoroughly impressed. The friendly welcoming bartender Monty and superb hostess Rebecca were great. The atmosphere was warm and European. The food was delicious and moderately priced. I can't wait to go back

The food was utterly disgusting and I felt like it would've been better if the stuffing wasn't water. Ham was over cooked.

Was her for mother's Day, took my elderly mother when I made a reservation, said had walker they put us in another room, far from buffet, place was packed mother had hard time to get to the buffet.

This place is old school. Its the bomb. I highly recommend getting an old fashioned from Monte . Then get seated by Becky for an amazing dinner.

Food was great! Friendly service. We got to talk with the owners who are very personable and friendly. They had a live polka band, which really added a lot to the ambiance. We usually come once a year because it's about an hour from where we live, but we love it every time! It has a warm, old-fashioned feel.

Couldn't wait to try this place after hearing about it. Our expectations were exceeded! Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. There were six of us and everyone enjoyed their meal. We arrived before the dinner rush on a Saturday night, so we were in an out fairly quickly. Looking forward to visiting again.

I've been fine dining here since I was a kid (30+ years & counting :) & it's still fabulous! It's our go to place for excellent German food that I'm only aware of elsewhere in the Waukesha/Milwaukee area.

I don't get it. Atmosphere is good, Service is okay. The food is just plain awful. I ordered a schnitzel sandwich and it was totally hidden by the bun, undercooked, oily and tasted as though it was cooked in the same oil as the fish. Disappointment with a capital D. On the positive side, the bread was fantastic.

While sauk city has other places to eat, this is it for me. The feeling of eating at a family owned restaurant where you can see how much people care....it's so wisconsin. Food great. Service is too. And always german beer on tap. You have no reason not to stop...

Great Bavarian themed Wisconsin supper club.

Didn't eat there, opens at 4:30 we got there at 4:45, hour and 45 minute wait time to get seated, something needs to change or maybe not. Don't take reservations for less than 12 people. Hear alot of good things about it, just can't wait that long for seating.

Wonderful supper club with lots of old family values! I used to go here as a child with my grandparents & recently took my own family. Everything was exactly like I remembered it! Loved our dinner, appetizers & drinks. Was pleasantly surprised to see pickled gizzards on the menu and they were delicious! They made a mean brandy old fashioned too! Definitely will return!

My husband and I love this place. Everyone makes you feel welcome and special. The food has always been delicious! The owners, Monty and Rebecca, along with Jim, Keith and the rest of the staff go out of their way to make your experience the best.

Best fish fry in south central Wisconsin! The haddock is lightly battered with delicious flavor. Served with their tasty fritters, cole slaw and choice of potato. Excellent service!! Get there early if you want to eat early... Otherwise enjoy a cocktail at this wonderful super club!

One of my favorite establishments in the Sauk Prairie area. A beautiful, quaint place to enjoy a delicious dinner. Highly recommended!

Unpretentious classic Wisconsin Super Club serving traditional German fare. Visited on a Saturday evening around 6:30. The parking lot and restaurant were full, and we had a about a 1 hour wait for a table. Waiting at the Dorf Haus is fantastic as you can belly up to thr bar and enjoy a cocktail (nothing beats a Brandy Old Fashioned) or enjoy 1 of several in tap German Beers. Saturday night special is Prime Rib, although I had the German Sausage Platter. The platter was phenomenal with a crisp Knackwurst and wonderfully "hammy" pork hock. A definite visit if you are in northern Dane County.

Stopped by while passing through area. Walking in is like a step back in time—in a good way. We sat at the bar for a drink and will definitely be back for a German dinner

Rhonda, our server, was DELIGHTFUL! Happy, funny, kind, attentive, did I mention funny? Ask for her table when you go. The restaurant was cozy, warm, and wonderfully decorated for the holidays. (Including the first vintage "one horse sleigh" I've ever seen.)

Dorf Haus is a wonderful supper club located in Roxbury, WI. The staff, food, and atmosphere are all amazing! As you may guess, the theme is German with a Black Forest feel as you enter the restaurant adorned in wood decor, carvings, and animal mounts along with antique memorabilia including the bar. Their muddled sweet Old Fashioned made with the local brandy from the Wollersheim Distillery is a terrific cocktail. They also feature Wollersheim Winery wines. Enjoy them in their cozy and lively bar area. The bacon wrapped chicken livers were a delicious appetizer! We tried the Prime Rib (tender and well seasoned), Baby Back Ribs (fall off the bone), and Rouladen (tender sliced beef). All were fantastic, and the sides offered were also very good! We did share a peanut butter pie for dessert, and that was more than enough to top off a great evening out with my wife and father-in-law! Not far from Madison, the Dorf Haus Supper Club is a gem in the country!

Thanksgiving dinner was like mom used to make. Everyone was friendly.

This supper club was a package deal. They were hosting a wedding in the back, and still managed a full restaurant space with poise. Food was delicious and staff courteous. More than enough to warrant a return visit.

Dorf house definitely had an authentic atmosphere. The wait staff seemed to have clear communication and were well organized. The food was delicious and was served within a reasonable time frame. We had a really great experience here! The salmon and Fish fry for the win!

Horrible experience. Waited over 1 and 1/2 hours. Then they seated us in a hall directly adjacent to hundreds of people for a benefit/auction. Can't even have a conversation. Not to mention trying to order... So rude. Don't bother on a Friday

This was a hosted event that was very professional and enjoyable. The food is 5 star level.

We had the family style fish fry. Food was very good. Meal consisted of batter fried cod, German potato salad, fritters, Cole slaw.. all very good. Chocolate cheese cake wonderful. Yhe atmosphere of the restaurant was definitely old world Germany 🇩🇪. Restaurant vary large with multiple dining areas to handle multiple groups.

We had the best time tonight at the Dorf Haus! Service was fantastic, staff was incredibly friendly and food was delicious. I attended a wedding here a few years back and it was so much fun, and again, the food was fantastic. You don't often say that about wedding food. I hope this place never goes away.

If you want to go back to the 70's both in atmosphere and peoples dress attire this is your place, LOL. I did want to try their food as the menu is not a normal menu and some of the food we saw looked really good. We just stopped for drinks this go round.

First time visiting, what a terrific place. A good sense of a tight-knit crew with the outfits to go with the German theme. The food was delicious! Everything was a great price range. Our experience was terrific and we will definitely be back. We were lucky enough to meet Rebecca, and she gave us some history and showed us around! What an added bonus! Can't wait to visit again!
