Best Dirty Martini I've ever had!

What a hidden gem. Staff is amazing. I was in town staying above the establishment and the entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I had an opportunity to meet the owner and she was awesome. When I'm back in Nola this will be one of my regular hangouts.

Ordered The Juice #1 and Burro NA (w Tequila) as a quick drink before heading to airport from Homewood Suites (450 ft away). Great bartender!

We ended our short stay in New Orleans with a stop at Dovetail. Agnes, our barista did a great job showcasing the specialty drink offerings. It is a whole vibe, we didn't try the food but it is on our to-do list when we visit again! Parking is tricky but there are pay lots within a few minutes walk.

Found this place by accident after making a wrong turn, so it was a happy accident! Then after avoiding a real accident, saving my buddy from walking into one of their windows, we walked into a lovely air conditioned, well designed cocktail lounge (a rarity in a town full of dive bars)! The bartenders were not only masters of their craft, but had a ton of personality and easy to talk to. Now let’s see if their baristas have just as much chutzpah in the morning…

Bartenders rude and way overpriced. Don’t waste your time or money. Way better spots close by to get wine.

This place doesn't stand out from the street, but when you go inside, it completely transforms you to a drink oasis! Between the cute decor and eclectic drink menu, you are bound to be transformed by your drink selection and outstanding customer service! As I had been drinking rum today, I wanted to stay with this theme, so I tried the Shiso fly, which is made with Japanese rum, and this drink was awesome! It was refreshing yet strong at the same time. Also, the bar tenders are knowledgeable about the alcohol and ingredients going into your drink, so if you're unsure about a drink, they will definitely help you find one that will satisfy your palette! I will definitely return for a stellar drink and light hearted conversation.

Very cool cocktail bar with affordable and very delicious drinks, friendly and skilled bar tenders, and a great low-key but upscale vibe!

We spent a few nights at the hotel above Dovetail and frequented Dovetail during our stay, and it was great! The drinks were fantastic (gotta shout out the Espresso Martinis on tap) and the atmosphere was wonderful (bar-side seating always made for fun conversations). A special shout out to all the bartenders who took care of us, Andy and Max, you all were fantastic!

My fave spot to start my day and end my night when visiting nola. Really lovely baristas/bartenders. The music was always on point. The drinks were lovely and it's a nice place to take a breather. Caters more to tourists but it's not hectic.

Solid little bar. I stayed in the hotel above it. Bartender who I can not remember the name of was super nice. Very good cocktail menu. They actually have shrub and luxardo!!! Great laid back atmosphere wish I would have had time for the coffee bar in the morning. Great service and a unique atmosphere a few feet from the chaos. Can’t wait to take my wife there when it’s not a business trip. Edit 99% sure the bartenders name was Sam

Great staff, atmosphere, and service!

Andy was an incredible guide to our evening of adult beverages. We went fpur different ways to start(including a delicious juice #3, house daiquiri, espresso martini and singular redwood) and then finished with two orders of cebil chai. The service and conversation were excellent. Equal parts education and entetainment. The overall experience was enjoyable with no pretension or snobbery. Wonderful venue, incredible drinks, and stellar staff.

Showed up at 10AM because we were going to a football game at the dome and no other bars in the area were open. We sat at the bar and it seemed like a private party was going on. We asked “can we sit at the bar” and i received a rude response of “sure”. After sitting at the bar for over 10 minutes, no one bothered to take our order. The bartender continued to take orders from the private wedding party and could care less about us. As someone who works in the service industry, I was very offended we were never approached or even acknowledged. As a family who traveled to New Orleans for a football game and to enjoy the city, we are very disappointed. We left without any service provided when we wanted to give this establishment our time and money. Loss on their point. You should hire staff/bartenders who take care of everyone who sits are your bar and doesn’t let them sit there going unnoticed.

The team is just such a beautiful crowd! We came twice during our short stay because of the excellent cocktails and the great engagement the team has with their community. Everyone who pokes their heads in, street workers or theater visitors, is treated with the greatest respect, given advice or ice or whatever is needed. Also, check out the secret window, aka the right bathroom exterior one-side window!

This establishment routinely threw their trash out back, on the sidewalks, and then blamed others for the fact the trash ended up strewn all over the neighborhood, even though the trash needed to be securely contained in locked dumpsters. After a year and dozens of complaints, apparently someone with the Sonder and Dovetail Bar, both of whom were trashing the neighborhood, decided to clean up their self created problem. I leave the pictures, for duration of time for which others had to look at it, on a daily basis, but congratulate the owners of the problem, for embracing their own cognitive process, that they, not others, might just have been culpable.

Quaint, adorable and delectable!!! It's overly inviting and I mean that in the best way. You want something from the Dovetail Bar; AND the barista/ coffee consultant Agnes was divine to talk to. There's a smooth, simplistic charm to this place that's uber satisfying.

This was our first night in New Orleans and not far from our resort. My husband and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable. We didn't have any food just cocktails.

A MUST when you visit New Orleans! The bar offers a chill vibe which pairs perfectly for their well crafted cocktails. Cale is amazing, and probably the best liquid chef I’ve ever had. He’s knowledgeable and provides a pleasant presence which heightens the overall ambiance. I had the sequoia and a few other drinks I haven’t stopped thinking of since. Definitely planning my next non business trip just to explore more of their menu. 5 stars across the board

Dovetail Bar is my go-to place for a perfect night out. The food is consistently delicious, with a menu that offers a great variety of options. Whether I'm in the mood for a juicy burger or a refreshing salad, Dovetail Bar always delivers. The drink selection is impressive, with a fantastic range of beers and cocktails that never disappoint. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with friendly staff.

Agnus Agnus Agnus!!!! We left with a little heart from New Orleans because of this beautiful soul who treated us with such kindness and care! And the Cocktails!!!! We’re absolutely amazing!!!!!! New and adventurous! The vibe and decore was right on point super cute and photogenic.

I got the 90’s in the shade drink- so good! Highly recommend staying in Sonder the rental apartment directly connected to the bar. Felt safe and secure and was a short walk to the bar.

Gem of a cocktail bar. Just discovered this on my recent trip. My friends adored it too. It's a little far from the main walking areas but its worth a visit. Wish them the best.

Found it by accident before a show at Saenger. It must be pretty new, because you can still smell all the new wood furniture when you enter. Very cute, very cozy, delicious craft cocktails. We'll definitely be back!
