Loved the music and gulf view. Even manatees made an appearance.

The food was great, the view was nice, and Cody is a fun bartender. I enjoyed the oysters and calamari.

We loved this place, it's a little pricey but not overly so and our waitress let us know that we could order from the lunch menu as well even though it was at night. The waitress Krissy was super friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

Rustic but very comfortable. We always order clam chowder and 2 lbs of snow crab. Very good quality!

Nice atmosphere, nice views of the cedar key life. Dog friendly, upstairs and down. Large menu of all the sea food classics and local favorites. A return trip is expected.

We were looking for a place to get away for the day, and Cedar key is about a 3 hour drive, so we packed up the kids and headed north. The whole area is a tourist location and has a beach for swimming and playground for the kids. We stopped here for lunch and went upstairs to eat. I had fish and fries, wife had a seafood dish and the kids had burgers. Food was good and price was ok. Location was clean and the staff was friendly. You have a good view of the ocean. Nice place if your in the area to stop and eat. We have been back to the area since this date and kids even went trick or treating in Cedar Key which was fun as well. If you have the chance and looking for a day trip, add Cedar Key to your list and stop by Duncan's Waterfront Bar & Grill to your itinerary.

Wow!! Where do I begin! The service was terrible!! The place was not busy and it took forever for the food. Soup is $10.00. They give you a big bowl with barely any soup in it. I would be ashamed to serve that to someone. Two people at the table ordered the special which the waitress forgot to put in after everyone else had their food. The waitress was reminded to bring out an appetizer. She never brought it out. Had to be told to take it off the bill. Then she got upset when we asked what the service charge was for. We were in a party of 9 and they automatically add the gratuity on………starting at 20% and up!! We looked back at the menu to see where gratuity was automatically added for larger parties and did not see it. One of the persons in our party ended up tipping twice for that reason. I ordered grouper fingers that were $24.00 and they gave me about 3 to 4 ounces of fish that came with onion rings which would have been great if the onion rings were not cold. You would think for $24.00 dollars they could have gotten the food warm. I could go on and on. The craziest part of this whole thing is that we went on a Monday and they were not busy at all. I could say so much more but do not want to waste anymore time. Won’t be going their again. Buyer beware!

decor is more like diner and food high priced but good. waitress very efficient. scenery was well worth it though, right on gulf and even got to see couple dolphins. Patio could really use ceiling fans.

Ordered a couple of drinks in a not busy at all atmosphere and took forever. Then when they did arrive , if I could give 0 stars I would my coffee martini tasted like frothy milk and my better half's brandy alexander tasted like straight something!! Would've done better just grabbing a shot of jack and moving on!! Didn't even get food after that..

LOVED YOUR MEALS WE ATE THERE 3 TIMES, BLACK BEANS & RICE SIDE WAS A BIG WINNER. GREAT VIEWS ALSO. SERVICE WAS GREAT AND Y'ALL WERE BUSY.

The food was way better than I expected. The wedge salad was mediocre and did not live up to the level of the other dishes. The other food was superb. Our waitress was very helpful and pleasant also.

Had the most wonderful clam chowder and. Grouper fingers with sweet potato fries there today. Sent there by local recommendations. Great service; we did go at 4 pm. People who live here swear they have the best food on the island. All very fresh.

Really good steamed clams in garlic butter wine sauce! Great mahi mahi special asian soy-sesame oil dish & fried gulf shrimp also done great. Very nice touch with the tropical flower garnish. Kind attentive friendly service. Thank you Duncan's... well done!

Best place to eat and see the gulf. Service was very good had some wonderful breakfast choices I'd rate that 5 plus ambiance is great seeing the water is always nice when you're eating. Fair price would definitely go back.

Had the best dinner at Duncan’s. Kimberly was a wonderful fun friendly server we took great care of us. Third time being at this restaurant and every time has been a charm. Will return breakfast lunch dinner everything is wonderful!!

Went here for lunch today. Place is a little pricey and the service is a little slow but the views are awesome and everyone LOVED their food. Amazing amazing A bowl of 1/2 conch chowder and 1/2 clam chowder. Also the conch fritters were a huge win. Everyone loved it Dog friendly on the back porch

Sushi was amazing! Service was lacking... both of our meals came out wrong, charged more, took forever to get anything... was given chocolate cake to make up for it, or would have been 1 star.

Excellent. We visited before the virus and we cannot wait to return. Easy drive from Crystal River. We enjoyed ourselves sitting on the deck. Outstanding service. Excellent food. Relaxing calm atmosphere. Went fishing on the pier after lunch.

I'm from mt.pleasant S.C move to oldtown FL. 20 yes ago visited cedar key many times over yrs & always stand on the Pier and listen to the wonderful music many nights So on the thirtieths on May I walked in with a friend we had a few drinks enjoyed the atmosphere very much it was wonderful will return again and probably again thank you for a wonderful time no have a nice day make the best of it take care now bless

Delicious grouper and steak fries!

My friend and I went to Duncan's on our last night in Cedar Key. I had a grilled mahi sandwich, which was delicious, and I was really impressed with both the sweet potato fries and the hush puppies. My friend enjoyed the huge portion of well-executed fish and chips. The service was attentive and quick, the upstairs dining area was pleasant on a chilly night, and the food was great. So I'd *absolutely* eat there again. But the icing on the cake was the fact that after I left my credit card behind, Breana and her manager helped work through some complicated logistics to make sure I got it back. HUGE shoutout to Breana for going above and beyond -- not just for great customer service, but for being a wonderful person!

I really love this place. I sat outside on the porch just over the water. It was perfectly sunny and I enjoyed watching the fisherman up on the pier. I went for the famous half and half chowder and I was not disappointed. It was incredible! I’m definitely going back. And where can I get some conch to make this in the meantime!

You have to come here. Lisa was our bartender. She was excellent. A local. The Smoked Mullet dip was the best we've ever had. The "Jimmy's Frogs famous shrimp pie was so awesome.

We visit Cedar Key often and have a 'rotation' of favorite restaurants. Duncan's has become a staple breakfast spot.. Biscuits, eggs, grits, Bradley's sausage, Bloody Mary's ... It's all great. The lunch and dinner menus look just as good. Give it a try!

Had a fantastic breakfast. Cheesy grits with shrimp was super tasty and fresh! Service was friendly and quick.

Had a few dozen oysters, steamed and raw. Tastey but a bit small. Conch fritters were ok but truly needed to be cooked more inside. Atmosphere is always nice. Outside deck area needs to be pressure cleaned. Staff are all friendly and accommodating. Cedar Key over the years has been slipping down hill. Still a big fan but its getting run down and for what you get a bit pricey.

Finally found time to get away and found Duncans in cedar key on our vacation with the best fresh food and drinks that were spectacular atmosphere was perfect with being beach side live band and most importantly the staff keeps you number 1with drinks food and smiles Tracy and the girls made it great evening we will be back soon!

Just love this place! Just moved down here from New England to Crystal River and spent my 1st 3 weekends in Cedar Key! After checking out every place along the main drag (TRUE IRISHMAN) I found this place to be my new home! Outstanding food, bartenders, owner's (felt like family) with the best live music and veiw! Also have an amazing breakfast and would recommend the blueberry pancakes or the Red velvet pancakes that's like heaven! L Luck

My first visit to Cedar Key and it was a beautiful day. We walked by all the restaurants and choose this one because of the excellent live music echoing out of the building. We had excellent service. Two employees checked to make sure we were doing well. He ordered the fried oysters and I the peel and eat shrimp. Everything was delicious and the view was great. No worries. No problems. Just a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. We later went downstairs to listen to live music by TJ Brown. He's very talented! The bartenders were super friendly and I had a very good time!!

Food is very good. A little pricey. Drink special advertised for 5.00 and got charged 8.00.They didn't honor the drink special as they said it was for the bar only and not the restaurant. Ok then show that on your sign. We also asked the waitress about the drink special and she said it was a good drink. Well no big deal over a couple of drinks. Won't be back though.

The musician was great and so was his bartender brother. Staff was friendly atmosphere wonderful food was great

Everything was good, but not great. The exception was the vegetables they were amazing! After we ordered we found out about the shrimp pie. The table next to us was raving about it. We will definitely have to try it.

Very good quality seafood. They serve some different and interesting dishes. Nothing fancy about the decor (which is fine by me). They are a little pricey, though. I don't mind paying more for better food. The wait staff is always very friendly 😊

Great fish and fantastic staff. Knocking off a star due to avocado not being ripe and the conch fritters had no real meat (seemed like flavored hush puppies). Otherwise it was a great experience. I would definitely try again!

Went for lunch and got the crab cakes and New England clam chowder the chowder was good the crab cakes were not so good. Appetizer smoked mullet dip at had to ask the Waitress to bring it out.

We love Duncan's bar and lower level! Lauren, Karen and Tracy are awesome!

Wow. Sit on the deck have a cocktail and watch/listen to the waves roll in. This is a close to heaven as you'll be. Oh the burger is kick ass too.

Great view. Sat at window seats.Friendly waite staff. Food was good, ordered fried shrimp basket and red fish basket. Breading fell off both. But still good flavor. Will go back for sure!

Enjoyed seafood... appetizers and entrees. Party of four received good yet unobtrusive service. 4 Entrees plus 3 appetizers for the group including alcohol and tip was about 60 per person. Lots of food!

The food quality here after the switch to Duncan's has improved a lot. Everything we had was excellent and great portions on the fish sandwiches. The lunch combos were a little pricey, so it would be nice to see that come down a little bit. Overall a great place with good views.

It was a nice screen porch to sit on over the water but my eggs were cold and we didn't have silverware. Our server was grumpy until she brought the check.

Exactly what it should be when you're in Cedar Key. But then again so is the rest of Cedar Key. Hard to go wrong here.

Great food, service, and drinks

Honestly speaking, i felt Comfortable to relax and enjoy our night out in Cedar Key, Florida. The food and bar variety was easy to choose from and was VERY DELECTABLE! The water front view, from the bar was an amazing expierence for me, because i watched a dolphin swim at ease to the destination it chose around the dock. The singers that had sang Karaoke was phenomenal enough to gather a crowd!!!!! We will be back next week for Sushi that they added to the menu next week, I saw updated on fb recently. Ms. Samantha, the Bartender that night, but Manager full time, had served the best beer & mixed drinks we had for a while. Trust me, its worth the drive. ☺

Fast service, great drinks, and fantastic food! The area was a little crowded today, but not crazy. We had a party of four and were seated immediately. We ordered some specialty drinks and they arrived quickly (and were very tasty, I might add). Between us, we all ordered seafood (shrimp and grouper). We each tried different sides, as they have a wide selection. The food arrived after about 20 minutes. All of us agreed that the food was cooked and spiced perfectly. The grouper was tender and flaky, exactly as it should be. The sides were also excellent. Because of the large portions, we had no room left for dessert! There is a very large selection of dishes and most seafood can be cooked one of four ways. Therefore, there are a huge number of different combinations! Even though this is a steakhouse, most people seem to order seafood. Whatever you order, the service is fantastic!

Older Waterfront building great View I had a I think it was called shrimp pie it was great wife had the calamari sweet and tender they have a full bar downstairs eating is upstairs bathrooms could use a little updating and better ventilation. And all the people work there are friendly helpful they have the look of I am happy working here
