Wonderful Tampa restaurant that always delivers in fantastic food and fantastic service. The scallops and ribeye were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The arepas and sauce that came with the ribeye were especially good and had a nice amount of spice to it. The Tampa rose was a fantastic drink that was sweet, but not overly sweet.

Always creative culinary dishes and cocktails. My wife gave a brief description of her wine palate, and our server immediately brought a sample that my wife loved. The Duck confit was unctious with crispy skin. My seared scallops were huge with a very tasty crust. The tuna crudo was spicy and flavorful.

Do not drive past this place one more time on Kennedy without turning right onto Edison and giving this established a try! Wow! What a culinary experience! Every single dish is crafted perfectly to melt in your mouth with flavor like you have never tasted before. The star for us was the potato crusted oysters that are in the dill pickle nectar. Not kidding, this sauce was so good that we kept it on the table to dip some of our entrees in. The scallops were phenomenal but dipped in that sauce, wheww! So good! The service is out of this world. The well crafted cocktails were amazing! This is exactly the type of restaurant that Tampa is known for. It's on the pricier side but definitely worth the experience.

This was the second time we’ve been here and it was just as delicious the 2nd time. Mackenzie was our server and she amazing!! The drinks are so wonderfully crafted with flavors you would never put together and the food is the same. The highlight was the sage shortbread with popcorn ice cream. To die for! This is a must see for your Tampa travels.

Brett is the best host/manager ever and Nick was a superb waiter. The food (as usual) was phenomenal, but Brett regularly makes the experience unforgettable. We had our first experience with Nick as a waiter and he did not disappoint. The food, service staff, and ambience were absolutely perfect. One of our favorite spots and will be as long as they keep the same formula. There is absolutely nothing on the menu that will disappoint. And the staff make the whole experience unforgettable. Thank you!! Ps- the duck ragu will change your life.

This was our 26th anniversary dinner and without a doubt, the best overall experience yet! Our server Stephanie was incredibly versed in the menu and food preparation. Without her guidance, our experience would not have been so enjoyable! The menu is so diverse and creative, you need that great input from your server. This is a female owned and operated business and the attention to detail and customer service shine through. The manager (Brett/ Brent) sorry for that, was extremely courteous and attentive, as was Stephanie. The potato crusted oysters and yellow fin tuna were the stars of the show. Everything is made in house from scratch, even the pastries and ice creams. This was well worth the price tag and we will definitely go back again.

From the moment I stepped into the Edison on Tampa’s Water Street, Bri immediately caught my attention. Her tattoos and warm smile set her apart as an exceptional bartender. Despite the bustling environment, she made me feel like a regular, effortlessly managing the hectic bar with poise. I was so impressed by her service that I felt compelled to personally thank her manager, Jess, to ensure my appreciation was properly conveyed. What a fun experience eating and drinking here was! We sat outside and enjoyed our time tasting a very fun and foody style menu! We enjoyed the bone marrow, cheese board, potato crusted oysters, and burrata! Would highly recommend all of these. For meals we enjoyed a steak, pork and duck dishes that were to die for! As for our server MacKenzie, she was fantastic! Having our friend who shared the same name made it super easy to remember! She was knowledgeable and made our experience extra special! We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Celebrating my wife's birthday here (party of 3). It was our first time at Edison's. On a Tuesday night (4/30/2024), it was not busy inside. We were seated at 6:30pm and had a wonderful, knowledgeable waiter (Brady). We started with two appetizers, potato-crusted oysters and their burrata along with a basket of excellent toasted bread. For dinner we enjoyed (1) middle-eastern flavored lam loins (delicious), (2) sea scallops, and (3) grouper. All three plates were presented well and tasted even better. We finished with Espresso Delice and Sage Shortbread for dessert. Along with drinks, our bill came to $268 before tip. Well worth it for such a special occasion.

Nestled at the corner of South Edison Ave and West Kennedy Blvd, Edison: Food + Drink Lab is an absolute hit. The atmosphere here is open and welcoming with the indoor dining space adorned with soothing earthy tones that was nicely enhanced by a great soundtrack of nostalgic 80s and 90s hits. The staff is incredibly warm and attentive, providing top-notch recommendations with genuine smiles. It's all truly the perfect ambiance for a memorable dining experience. I began the evening with a vibrant "Lip Service" non-alcoholic cocktail, which was refreshingly tart, and I will definitely get again when we return. Our appetizer spread was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavors: the zesty shrimp leche de tigre, the golden, crispy potato-crusted oysters (which I highly recommend), the crisp little gem salad with its salty bursts of salmon roe, the sumptuously creamy burrata cheese, and the utterly addictive roasted bone marrow that boasted a rich fusion of pork belly jam, ginger, and scallions. The tender grilled octopus, the succulent Thai five spice short rib that literally melted in the mouth, and the creamy, gently spicy aguadito de pollo soup further showcased the kitchen's exceptional skill. The main dishes continued to impress us with their exquisite presentation and flavors. The earthy roasted hen of the woods mushrooms, the perfectly seared sea scallops (a huge hit for the table), and the aromatic za’atar crusted lamb loin were all standout dishes that left us wanting more. Dessert was truly extravagant, each option more tempting than the last. The sage shortbread paired with strawberry balsamic compote and whimsical popcorn ice cream, the rich espresso delice with its creamy hazelnut butter ice cream and luxurious porter caramel espuma, the visually stunning cherry blossom dessert with its delicate rhubarb sake sorbet, and the decadently rich brulee butter cake, not overly sweet but utterly indulgent, were all exceptional. I honestly recommend you try them all! For anyone seeking an extraordinary dining adventure that delights every sense, Edison: Food + Drink Lab is an absolute must-visit.

Service was amazing. Did not do the tasting menu. Bone marrow was bland. Octopus was more burnt than charred and very rubbery, sauce that went with it was amazing. Duck beast was absolutely amazing. Very well cooked. Steak was boring. Can't even remember what the other two mains but they were fine. Desserts could have been skipped. Added nothing to overall meal. Mild and boring. Specifically the popcorn and rosemary thing. Unique sure. But uneventful.

We had an early (5:30PM) reservation on Saturday. We arrived at 5:00PM as we wanted to have a cocktail or two before our dinner. We opted to remain at the bar and dined at the bar. The craft cocktails are excellent and the variety is good. We had an oyster appetizer that was excellent with a lot of taste and texture. My wife had a fish meal and I had the Iberian Pork option both were excellent in preparation, presentation, flavor, quantity and quality. We both had a dessert which as expected, was tasty and excellent. The bar tender and other staff were knowledgable, personable, polite, professional and provided great service. The restaurant is not overly large but the noise level was not an issue for us and the ambience was great. Highly recommend and will return.

I will not return here. I came here last night with a group of ladies. I had really high hopes based on the reviews and the menu looked delicious but it really did not deliver. The ambiance is nice. I ordered the little gem salad as an appetizer - I just thought it was just not enjoyable at all. It was a romaine heart with fish eggs, some blue cheese crumbles and nori flakes on top which was a huge hunk of crunch that hurt my teeth to chew - the dressing was flavorful but I didn't enjoy it for a $13 salad. The flavors were gross. And I am not a picky eater. For my entree I had the scallops which looked beautiful- but I was so disappointed. There were a ton of red onions on top and this completely over powered the scallops. The potatoes in the middle had this odd flavor and then there were these huge hunks of fried pork fat or something that were so weird. It was the strangest combination of flavors and textures I really really thought it was gross and I hate to say this about a restaurant but I would absolutely not recommend it. I spent $70 on these two dishes - NOT worth it and I wish I had the courage to request a refund. Really not a good food experience at all.

The portion sizes for the mains, which are quite pricey, are small so order more apps and other items to compensate. Thankfully, the entrees were tasty. We were afraid they might not be after having to send back two of our four cocktails (far too sweet) and having the bone marrow app (ok, but the milk buns were dry and left too long in the oven or warmer). All in all, the mains were worth the visit but we did go back home and have late night fries and garlic knots to fill up.

I would like to start by saying, we have frequented Edison in the past. It’s a tradition that my boyfriend goes to Edison for his birthday. I meal that just 2 weeks ago was $800+. However I cannot say this tradition will continue. Last night the service we expect at a restaurant of this caliber was not there. Plates were never cleared, our new drink orders were never taken, we were never asked about food allergies, infrequently checked on, and we were we felt pressured to move our meal at a faster pace then we would have liked. Keep in mind we were not hoggin a table. We were only there for 90 minutes. Time to find a new special occasion restaurant!

There were four of us and two of the four told Dillion to surprise them with their entree. We all started with the kale salads to be shared. Appetizers spare ribs, burratal 11 yrs on menu)and tuna (11 yrs on menu). My husband and I shared the Florida fish and the surprise entree for the other couple was the lamb. For dessert the carrot cake was making its last appearance so it was a must have and then we all shared the warm butter cake too. We will definitely be returning.

The place os very nice, the service is good to very good BUT the food is overrated and its not for a lack of trying. We had the Grilled Octopus. Its tough and chewy and had too much sauce to go with it. Maybe some of the worst Grilled Octopus I have had. The menu looks nice however the chef has forgotten that less is more. Way too many ingredients on every dish. Even the Seared Scallops. Scallops themselves were ok but all the other crap in the dish ruined it. The cost is top tier and does not match the experience. Hard pass on returning.

We decided to try Edison: Food and Drink Lab for our anniversary dinner. It was an excellent decision! Our waiter, Nick, was attentive and informative. He made excellent suggestions for us to try on our first visit. Appetizer- The avocado, yellowfin tuna was a delight for the senses. All ingredients were super fresh, and we enjoyed the unexpected play between the crunchy nuts, sweet, cool sorbet and heat from jalapeno salad. My husband had the scallop entree which was tasty, and scallops were cooked perfectly! I thoroughly enjoyed their parsley, parmesan crusted grouper, which was paired with a beet salad and asparagus. The flavors were great. For dessert we sampled one of their unique after dinner drink creations...The banana bread old fashioned, which turned out to be a perfect ending to our very enjoyable experience! We most definitely will return to try out other menu items.

I didn't really like they did my steak medium well vs. medium. However, the steak was still really good overall, and the desserts and starters were phenomenal. The bar is not a full bar, but you will be able to find something you like at it none the less. I will go again because the food options were inventive and change up every month, which is something I enjoy and like I said everything minus getting my steak slightly more cooked than I like was great.

This place has been on my radar for some time and I finally went. Had a few cocktails, the seared duck breast, and then the warmed butter cake for dessert. The duck was great. I could have easily eaten two or three portions of that meat. It came with a couple vegetables as sides. Was full after having the dessert. This is fine dining and you can tell they are skilled. Probably a once a year place for me for a special occasion or if I'm looking to impress.

We love to try the tasting menu at any new restaurant we visit. If this is your first time here and it’s also date night I suggest you do the same. When you offer froie gras I’m gonna try it, and it didn’t disappoint, perfect in small amounts. The chicory salad was nice and my husband and I had a fun game deciding where the chicory was and we both settled on the crisps in the salad. Next up the red fish. And omg I can go on about this fish. Perfectly cooked and swimming in a delicious sunchoke sauce. I loved this sauce, you can tell this dish was well thought out. Next up was a coffee rub steak, you bet I’m going to try this one out at home. Our consensus was the steak stood alone in flavor and could have done with a few dollops of bbq sauce on the side rather than a pool of sauce, only because it was on the sweet side with the steak already surpassing my expectations. And finally the persimmon tres leches. You had me at persimmon! Our server was great, we shared some laughs with him and he was very personable like all the reviews say. Thank you for the wonderful experience. The one thing we missed out on was the wine pairing with the 5 course, we didn’t because of dry Jan. Next time!

Great for a date night We really enjoyed the overall experience. Some items were overpriced but it was still good. We had daiquiris and they were amazing. If you like a classic daiquiri it is worth a try. We had the Burrata and requested bread with it because it was not included. It was amazing and we loved how it was served so we could add what we wanted to each piece of bead and it was not soft and soggy. For dinner, I tried the Seared Duck Breast it was really good and very flavorful. However, I did not favor the texture of the duck or that it was still very pink. I also do not care for thick cuts of meat so when we return I will not do the duck again. My husband had the Wood-Grilled NY Strip which he really enjoyed. He really loved the flavor, he did not have to add any sauce to it. He loved the Papas Rellenas (fried stuffed potato) and okra. For dessert, we had the Warmed Butter Cake which we both really enjoyed. The flavors blended well but we did not like the texture of the dates. Overall it was a really good experience and we highly recommend it.

The quality has definitely improved! There's a surprisingly large beverage list, including a decent wine selection. Atmosphere is more casual, which is nice for a restaurant serving upscale food.

Horrible experience, I spent $100 on two rounds of drinks, that took forever I might add, and the himachi and short ribs. The himachi was way to thick and should have been sliced thinner. It felt like I was biting into a filet. The short ribs I maybe got 1 full bite of meat off of the bone. I wont be going back.

The cocktails were scrumptious and the tuna appetizer was a delicious bite! The scallops were yummy, however. my vegetarian dish was a bit bland and the dessert- some kind of chocolate eclair was a bit dry, but overall really good food! We will definitely be back!

We love this restaurant! We were in Tampa for the circus and had dinner here. All four of us had different meals after sharing the octopus appetizer. Very creative and flavorful meals for each of us. One of the best restaurants we have been to in Florida!

This is my favorite Tampa restaurant by far. The level of service they give plus the creativity of the food warrants a much higher price than what they ask for. I love bringing people here to have them try food they never have before. I think Edisons does this at a VERY high level that is on par with many Michelin star restaurants.

This was one of the best, most unique meals I’ve ever had. Bone marrow starter was perfect. The Florida fish was wonderful. The sides with the main were so different and so cool that I can’t even describe them. The carrot cake desert was also amazing. Fantastic place.
