Excellent service. Very fast and friendly!

Simple and perfect. Everything I've tried is delicious (empanadas, ham and egg, steak and egg, Cubano...). The cortadito is what gets me out of bed in the morning.

Cubanito steak sandwich 🥪 OMG soo good best steak sandwich I ever had.

The Cubano sandwich is the freshest you can get in Chicago. Pair it with Cuban coffee made the way you like it and you'll think you're in Miami. I've never been to Havana but I'm sure it's better than what you get there!

Every time I come to Chicago I make sure to stop here. Not only do they have the best Cuban sandwiches (imho better than Versailles in Miami) and delicious empanadas (the guava and cheese is a favorite) but they are so nice at the restaurant. Friendly place, amazing food. LOVE IT!

I always have to eat 2 Cuban steak sandwiches. One without sauce and one with sauce I love it that much.

It's been a while but it is still as good as I remember. I tried the tostones with the garlic sauce and they are good too.

The sandwiches and empanadas here are delicious! Great food, cute establishment with the front part of a Cuban classic car as part of their decor. They make their own sauces too which pair well with the sandwiches. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Awesome place to go for lunch.

The reason I am putting four stars is because I do feel they are a little cheap when it comes to the sauce for the empanadas. It should be a little bigger considering how big their empanadas are. BUT, their empanadas are the BEST, along with the sauce. There has to be crack in it or something because i’am addicted! It’s all I ever order. This time I did get a Cuban sandwich which was also very good.

Love a good hole in the wall! Our service was fast and the food was hot and fresh! The fries are generous in size and cheap. The cashier warned us before we all ordered our own fries, as there were way too many for just one person. I only had the fries and an empanada but there were breakfast sandwiches on the menu that looked 🔥!

The best Cubano sandwich in neighborhood! I also had the opportunity to try the steak sandwich, and you can't go wrong with that one either.

Place doesn't have expresso and doesn't take cuban coffee seriously. Don't bother if you want good coffee and they close on the weekday early. Sandwiches tasty, though.

We just ate here for the first time and now we are completely addicted. The food is absolutely phenomenal. And the price is crazy for Logan Square. 2 full-sized sandwiches, a Coke, a bottle of apple juice, and 2 bottled waters, and it was only $27! What?! THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!

Whenever we're up north, this is the place to grab a bite hands down! The staff is always great, the food is always on point no matter what you get, accompanied with a cafe con Leche. You guys are THE BEST 👌

First time trying El Cubanito. I had heard good things, so I had high expectations and they delivered 👍🏽 Ordered at the window and less than 10 min later we got our food. Didn’t eat it til we got home but it was still amazing. The Tripleta sandwich had so much flavor!! I love sauces/salsa and I usually always add salsa to everything but I took my first bite with no salsa and was not disappointed. I’ll just say I ate most of that sandwich with no extra sauces. I did want to try the red sauce and it was okay it had a vinegar taste to it. They also gave us the garlic mayo sauce which went perfect with the tostones. Personally I like my tostones with a little more salt but adding the garlic mayo sauce did the trick. The maduros were delicious and sweet. The Egg and Steak sándwich was also equally as good as the tripleta sandwich packed with so much flavor. The tripleta empanada was so good too. I can’t believe I hadn’t found my way here sooner. Adding to my rotation of places to go 🙂

I like the food here. It’s a good cuban spot for anyone who wants to stop by and try it. Their empanadas are pretty good and decent size, unlike other cuban spots. Their steak sandwiches also fill you up. I recommend you ask for their hot sauce. But if you arrive after 5? Unfortunately you will have to take your food to go or eat outside, you will not be allowed in. Not sure when or why they started this but it’s unfortunate you don’t get to sit inside late afternoon.

I've heard good things about this place, today I decided to get a cubanito sandwich here and my bf got a steak cubanito. For the steak cubanito, it should be called beef cubanito. Let me tell you , they only put 4 pickles and light mustard in my sandwich. The sandwich is big so please add enough ingredients to make it enjoyable ,I just forced myself to eat it, and did not enjoy it. Thanks!

The place was recommended by a friend and let me tell you this food is so delicious! Had the Cubanito steak sandwich and it was life-changing. From the bread to the meat, it was crispy and delicious. The empanadas were great as well. Give this place a go. I'll be back many more times!

As a gentleman who was waiting in line with me once said 'It's like they put c0k3@ine in the Cafe Con Leche. It's addicting and so good'. The Empanadas and Cafe Con Leche are my favorite in the city! Especially the Steak and Chicken. If you're feeling like trying something new, try the Shrimp Empanada. There's plenty of room for medium groups and parking is pretty decent. The staff is amazing and they're super chill.

You know my problem isn't with the food because it always tastes great. But it's the service. I've ordered through doordash multiple times, and twice now my order was made incorrectly. The first time, I reordered entirely and had to wait for my money back. This time, I had to hop on a bus, because I tried calling and got no answer, but even last time someone did answer, I was told to come on in. Then to go in, tell someone it's the second time, how it's an inconvenience to have to travel when you use a delivery service for a reason. All I get back is my sandwich properly now, and an insincere sorry. I'm still gonna order cause I love the food as does my wife, but I'm sadly just gonna have to try and call and confirm it's being made right apparently.

The graffiti is beautiful. Very authentic Cuban restaurant. Empanadas are so yummy, and inexpensive. The homemade salsa cup is the ultimate best.

I'm not a fan, no line... and to long of a wait sandwiches to small no meet and over prise the empanada and fries has enough oil for a moth of cooking. $48.00 WASTED SHOUL OF GONE TO MCDONALD'S.

I was looking for a decent spot to snag some takeout to bring to a show at Rosa's Lounge yesterday night and this place had great reviews so figured I would give it a shot. I called in and it turned out they were only doing takeout so it worked out perfectly. This was my first visit so I asked the guy on the phone to give me some recommendations. He said that the Cuban and the Cubanito Steak Sandwich were the most popular but his favorite was the Tripleta so I took his word and ordered that with a double americano (shoulda brought a diaper). When I picked up my order, I checked the contents and there was another little bag in there. Turns out the guy just threw in a chicken empanada because he's the freakin' man so it definitely started things off on a great note. 10 minutes later, I'm at Rosa's diving into the first half of the Tripleta sandwich and I finished it like I was being timed. This sandwich was massive too. It took up the entire container it came in and was so packed that it was a little challenging to remove. The sandwich was also LOADED with ingredients and they did not skimp on the meat. Fantastic ratio. I housed the first half like a feral animal and decided to move on to the chicken empanada so I could try it while it was still fresh. This thing was also a monster and was super tasty! Great pocket dough to chicken ratio and the chicken was still super fresh/ moist. While the chicken empanada was great, the Tripleta sandwich really stole the thunder. I'm no pro food critic but, flavor wise alone, this was one of the best sandwiches I've had in the city. I couldn't even get to the second half that night so I ended up eating it cold the next day and it was still incredible! I think the sandwich was $9.75 and the coffee might have been $2.00 so the total came out to ~$12.50. That's probably the best $12.50 (not including tip) I've spent on a meal in years! Considering the size/ value of the sandwich, the generous helping of all ingredients, and the great rec/ great service - I cannot wait to go back. I did not give the atmosphere a rating because I only did take out.

My first and last time going there. This place sucks. The guy taking my order was so bothered wasn't even hiding it because i wanted my steak sandwich with just 4 ingredients meat cheese onios and mayo. I don't know how can they call their sandwiches steak sandwiches when the meat they put looks like ground beef blaa.. and for a café con Lech with no sugar because I'm diabetic they did the opposite with a lot of sugar got my sugar high now. They also cut the sandwiches in the to go container and cutting the damn container and got oil all over my car seat. Wow lol this place is a joke.

Their Cubanito Steak was fantastic plus the tostones were huge and tasty. Have to try their empanadas look huge and tasty as well. I'm sure everything on the menu is delicious. Just need time to taste everything.

Should be more aware of the order in which a customer places their order. Some people are there for lunch break no to wait 30min for the food when six other people who came after have gotten their food first.

Get the steak and egg sandwich and choose any of the coffee they offer.. you can not go wrong! I'm telling you this is one of the best Cuban restaurants in the city!!!

Love going to this place for lunch or dinner! My favorite thing is for sure the Cubanito Steak Sandwich, but BE WARNED! It's super messy and will spill out your bread. They've also got some killer empanada that are worth grabbing.

Hands down my favorite place. They should know me by now. Steak sandwich with extra cheese and extra garlic mayo. ..hold the lettuce and tomato, ruins the sandwich. Never too many or no negatives about this place. 10 out of 10.

Ricky does not fail, the team works effectively with the orders and kitchen. Quality, consistently. Opened Labor Day '22! They don't rest. Opened the 4th of July '22, had to stop by. High quality food and service. No exaggeration, the customer service here is an example for others to follow: respectful, attentive, quick, personable, welcoming... it adds to the flavor of the atmosphere with the smooth tropical sounds playing from the old school jukebox, the interior's design, and the unique front counter paying homage to the motherland (front end half/clip of a classic Cadillac reminiscent to those preserved back on the island). Regularly visit, sometimes multiple in a week, for over a year, and have had no bad experiences yet, personally or through witnessing anyone else while in the establishment. I pick up my order worry free without having to verify contents before exit (plenty of napkins, just ask for the hot sauce). Place is always clean, and even though they keep busy, your accurate, warm, and fresh food is a phone call order away, with a realistic quote on prep time before it's ready for your pick up. plenty of space in their dining area for those who prefer (don't let the subtle exterior make you miss). Early open, late close (service window south of main entrance, towards small, side parking lot). Salud!

I'm reserving my 5 stars for the Cuban spot that gets closest to the food in Miami, and specifically the Cuban sandwich. The one here has about the perfect proportion of the ingredients, BUT the bread is a bit off. Cuban bread is a very specific thing, and it's crucial to cuban sandwiches, so that knocks a star off. Besides that, the maduros are on point but the empanadas are just okay.

I mean…. FOOK. My roommate has loved it in the past and ordered but I’ve never gone myself until today, I love it. Cute spot, close walk away, nice Cuban music playing which made me smile as I waited for my food, as the place smelled great. Staff was nice, polite. Food came quick, and gotta make sure you buy those extra Mayo’s they are worth it ;) as I’m walking back, I had read reviews about the coffee, I was so excited to try my “cafe con leche de coco” totally burnt the mouth a bit haha! But OMG, I stopped in my tracks, it’s perfect lol, and strong 🤌🏾🧡 My steak empanadas were a bit darker in color than I prefer but they were, delicious. Nothing else to say there, will definitely need to try others! The cubanito, chefs kiss, the bread wasn’t soggy, had a nice mayo amount, meat tasted good and was well seasoned. Fork was needed and expected :) Thanks for the much needed everything to get my day going 🙏🏽🤌🏾 can’t wait to come back for more!

Food was great! Only thing I didn’t like was the way they cut the sandwich inside the styrofoam and it goes through and some pieces of the styrofoam were missing.

It is a decent sized, intimate place to hold gatherings where you don't want a lot of people. Definitely recommend.

Their steak empañadas are packed with delicious meat and flavor! For about $3 each you can get 2 for a snack and be filled for a bit. The Cubanito sandwich is messy, but I'm guessing it's supposed to be that way because they give you a fork with the sandwich.

I never know what to expect when I eat here, here’s why… I been coming here since long ago when it was the little stand in the parking lot and have since moved, tonight we were able to make the drive and we did because they close at 10…?! I thought that was odd considering they always closed early. We arrived and found out it’s just a take out window on the side of the building that was open late. They also don’t have an rice anymore and I was really looking forward to it. Overall my steak sandwich was just like I remembered it, delicious!!

Ok…so I haven’t been to this location in a long time. We had the tripleta and the cubanito steak sandwich. They give you a fork because all of the insides of the sandwich just pour right out of the bread. Which I am absolutely ok with. The cubanito steak was great, for me a little more Mayo would’ve sent me through the roof. The tripleta was ok. To me it just seems like there’s a lot of vinegar in whatever sauce they add to it. I’m not sure how it’s prepared, that is just how I feel about it. We also had the guava and cream cheese empanadilla. They were yummy, I just would’ve loved for the cream cheese and the guava to melt thoroughly so that it creates a delicious lava like consistency. Now the cafe con leche….😮‍💨 I love coffee…so the way they put this coffee together was AMAZING!!!! Not too sweet, strong, the color of my skin (if you’re Hispanic you know how your grandparents asked you to make their coffee, “el color de mi piel”) I will return to give other sandwiches a try.

Haven't been here in a while. Got a steak sandwich and decided to eat in. It's a busy location, so traffic is a pain. Parked on the street to avoid waiting in the parking lot. The food was good. Lots of meat and good portion size. I wasn't a fan of the meat even though I got steak. Looked more like ground beef as to how much it was chopped up. The mayo was different, but it must be their own special blend. I'll probably come by and try something else. I'm not gonna knock off a star because I wasn't a fan. Lots of people come here for the steak sandwich. I will stop in and revisit again in the future.

Great food and service. Sadly Chicago police ticketed us even though the parking sign clearly showed an arrow in front of us pointing toward the corner so we were in a "safe" parking area. So beware good old Crook County

Came here to try the Cubano and was not disappointed, at all. Very local neighborhood spot for workers and families where the staff know the customers by name. The Cubano was incredible and for only $9 is an incredibly rare find.

My all time favorite place for cuban sandwiches! Brings me back to my childhood in Florida. The empanadas are amazing too! The shrimp and the guava & cheese empanadas are my favorite. The staff is extremely nice. I've been going to El Cubanito since I was a child and now I go with my kids. They are very consistent with their food. I'm never disappointed. A restaurant you must visit!
