Amazing restaurant in an unassuming area. Great options for wine on site that are very affordable and excellent service. We can’t wait to go back!

I’m a bit disappointed that some of the recent reviewers didn’t post any pictures, so that the rest of the world can get an idea of how the food looks. It doesn’t matter if you write a super wordy post. No pictures can lead to readers losing interest. I’ll attach some pictures so that people can get an idea of the tasting. I came here awhile ago for my birthday. It wasn’t full so the evening was kind of quiet. We just used an Uber to get here. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Restaurant was cozy and nicely decorated. Service was amazing. You definitely feel at home, getting ready for a multicourse home-cooked meal. Food was magnificent. Easily in my top 5 favorite Michelin restaurants. Each course seemed to get better and better. It’s hard to choose a favorite as I loved each dish. It’s $175 without taxes and tip for the tasting. That’s without a wine pairing. Yes, that’s per person. Highly recommended. I hope my pictures give you some sort of idea of what to expect.

Amazing experience and we loved the holiday winter wonderland decorations. It felt as though we were enjoying dinner in their home. We were so excited to see Goosefoot’s kitchen is all electric! They truly are embracing a wonderful movement to help preserve our earth. This was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary!

The food here was absolutely amazing. Not only was it stunning & aesthetically pleasing, but the flavors paired wonderfully together & the overall taste of each dish was exquisite. The owner came by to chat with us & our server described each dish with enthusiasm & detail. It was about twelve courses with around 4-5 of them being dessert (score). I think they are currently renovating & the space is small & intimate, only around nine tables. Enter through the back for the time being!

Always exceptional in every respect. Feels like you are dining in the Chef’s home which makes it a unique experience. For a multi course experience the portions are relatively large, so bring your appetite.

My husband and I have been going to Goosefoot since they opened. We’ve never had a bad experience or meal. Nina and Chef Nugent always serve the most creative and delicious meals. Their soups are my favorite.

This was my second visit and both times, I was blown away. It remains the absolute best scallop dish I've ever had. The coconut emulsion is sooo delish! Everything was great and the presentation of every dish was immaculate.

Food and service were outstanding. They are a BYOB, but have a wine list from the neighboring liquor store, so the wine was remarkably reasonable without the usual 3x mark up.

We had the most amazing time at Goosefoot! It’s by far the best meal we’ve ever had and will remember it so fondly. Nina really created a a beautiful and cozy atmosphere, it feels like you’re having dinner at the Nugent’s home. So this place is certainly an experience. The food is out of this world especially at the price point it is. It’s BYOB which makes even better value if you want to drink something expensive. The ambiance is left of center, to say the least. No bad, just weird in a “you won’t forget this” kind of way. 10/10 overall recommend.

Of every Michelen star restaurant I've visited, this is by far my favorite. Every single dish was memorable and incredible. Not a single miss and th owners clearly pour their heart and soul into their food. I never do repeats but I would ABSOLUTELY come back!!!

Goosefoot is a very special place in so many respects. The food is unique and carefully prepared and presented. The set menu is well paced and the portions are just right. Nina, the front of the house and wife of the chef, is warm and welcoming. Add to this a wait staff that is knowledgeable and attentive without being hovering. For a perfect evening, Goosefoot fits the bill.

Dining at Goosefoot is a pleasing and joyful combination of more than a dozen expertly prepared and artistically plated chef-curated courses with friendly professional service. Expect to be delighted across all your senses for 3+ hours with satisfying samples of scallop, duck, beef, soup, edible flowers and desserts with rare flavors and textures that will have you closing your eyes and smiling. One of the best and most interesting meals I've experienced in Chicago. BYOB.

OMG. Last night was my second visit to Goosefoot. Again, it was a magical culinary experience. Ambiance- The dining room has only 9 tables. The decor is bright and cheerful, music is upbeat and adds to the experience. Service - Welcoming, friendly, and on point. Nina, one of the owners, graciously welcomes you in and gives you a verbal tour of your evening. Natalia works along side her presenting each new wonderful course and explains them perfectly. The Food - Amazing! Beautiful! Delicious! Each course is both artfully presented and mind blowing delicious. I can not describe in words how wonderful it is. You must try it for yourself. Chef Chris is not only an amazingly talented chef, but also a true artist of many mediums. We are from San Diego. Anytime I am in Chicago I will return to Goosefoot. Parking is limited. You won't want Wi-Fi. Make reservation and treat yourself to an amazing dining experience!

The food and presentation of the food is irrefutable in being amongst the absolute best in the world. To state that this Restaurant is spectacular is still short of truly describing the food, along with the service and food presentation.

We celebrated my birthday last evening at Goosefoot. As in our several past visits, we had a wonderful meal that was served by an attentive waitstaff. Each of the many courses was delicious, creatively prepared plated creatively. We shall return.

We had a great experience at Goosefoot last night. 1 of the best Michelin* restaurants in the city. Better than our 2 or 3* experiences at Alinea, Oriole, Smyth. Goosefoot is on par with Ever, our fav establishment. Nina is a very welcoming & chatty host. We had a good conversation with her. Only -ve aspect is (the speed of) Service. We had to wait until ~8:20pm for our 1st course, we were hungry. As we had to pick up our dog from the sitter's place, we packed the last 2 Dessert courses.

My son and I went to dinner on a Saturday night. Incredible experience & would highly recommend.

Had many celebrations here for over 10 years. Never disappointed. Appreciate the wine bottle purchases. Website advises types of wine to byob. Savories and sweets satisfy my family. Agree with many 5 star posts. Wish Chef Chris Nugent would sell his chocolates in small batches.

Goosefoot is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. This time we were celebrating my milestone birthday. The food was delicious, we loved the presentation, the ambiance and the professional service. The last dessert had a beautiful happy birthday written on the plate and they gave me a signed menu. We purchased the wines from their store next door, the wines are reasonable priced and they paired very well with the food. Thank you for an unforgettable night!

The food was exceptional and made you think with every bite, presentation was very thought out. The service was great, not a high number of staff so you can become really personable with the team. The dining room was small and made for a perfect romantic dinner.

Pros: 1. Excellent food, chef knows his business and how to pleasure guests. 2. Awesome service. Waitress was above and beyond: knowledgeable, experienced and polite. 3. Cozy atmosphere. Owners made sure everybody would feel comfortable. I personally felt like I was visiting old friends. Cons: 1. No dedicated parking. Area felt a bit sketchy in the evening time, though some street parking were available.

It was the mist unforgettable and delicious meal I’ve ever had. The fishes were works of art with fabulous flavors. The lender were very nice and explained the meal journey. Loved it !

My only wish is that some of the dishes were a bit hotter when they were served. It’s expensive but I would definitely come back.

My wife and I had a very positive experience at Goosefoot. The food was interesting and complex - really impressive given the size of the team. Also, the BYOB concept was a refreshing change to the typical wine pairings you see at the restaurant price point. While the core of each dish was delicious and the plating was beautiful, often times the entire dish didn’t seem to work together. Edible garnishes didn’t add anything to the meal, and different components of most dishes were at different temperatures when they arrived at the table. I’m very impressed by this restaurant, but it’s clear after eating there that this is an ambitious effort from a very small team. I applaud them for what they’ve accomplished, but would head elsewhere for a more refined and exciting experience.

We went for Valentines Day. I wasn’t sure what to expect but if I was, our visit would have exceeded my expectations. We were greeted and seated right away. The theme was “ Woodstock 69” which added a cool ambiance with familiar songs playing in the background. Everything was delicious. The design of the food was as impressive as the taste.
