The tacos are small and $4 a piece - extremely over priced. Other than the price, the flavor isn't horrible. The quesabirria is not authentic. It’s more cheese than anything and they put pickled onions on it - which is not normal nor authentic. The alambre was basically just hot dogs - no chorizo or steak or cheese like it’s supposed to have. For the area it’s not bad. But it’s no where near authentic. This is coming from a Mexican household.

For authentic tacos, there is no place better. This is a small bodega that has a kitchen in the back. You can get Mexican sodas, beers and other items you'd expect to find in a bodega, but the food is OUTSTANDING. The family that runs it also owns the El Nopal restaurant on the opposite end of the strip. They have all the greats for your tacos...Lengua, Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Cactus, chicken, Barbacoa and my favorite.....BIRIA. The tacos are all flat-topped on the la plancha so the base is crispy. They serve the Biria with a cup of consume for dipping. It's amazing. They garnish all the tacos with lots of onion and cilantro so if you are like me and allergic to onions, you need to tell them. Once they are on there there's no getting them off. I have had their breakfast burrito but not their Tortas. They look amazing. When I am there for lunch there's at least one landscaper truck in the parking lot and those guys go for the Tortas. And the beans....get a side of their black beans. They're killer.

Please don't come. I don't want to share. But if you must come leave some burritos Nuevo for me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This place had excellent barbacoa tacos!

Wonderful street tacos. I had the shrimp and carnitas. I need to go back to try other options. Following those with a mango soda made it over the top.

The chorizo breakfast burrito is one of my go to lunches! Haven’t found a better one yet.

I'd add 5 more stars if I could. We've ordered three times for our office of 30 people and they've taken great care of us! Everyone raves about the tacos. Affordable and delicious. The team is helpful, even helping load the food at pickup. We love supporting local and love it even more when the product and service is top notch. Thank you to the team at El Jarocho. Love this place, best authentic Mexican restaurant in Missouri! I grew up in Texas and man did it make me feel like I was home! Amazing food at low cost and very friendly front desk and relaxed atmosphere! Definitely would recommend!

This is literally the best place to get tacos. All the food comes warm and delicious. I’ve never had such a good fish taco, any taco you order will be amazing and very adequate portions .The staff here is so friendly, their restaurant is always so clean and well organized. All my family and friends love this place.

Love The tacos al pastor and Horchata water

This place is sooo good! Great tacos and food for on the go. The barbacoa taco with the advacado salsa is the main thing i always get, the next best one is the steak and fries and cheese burrito but sub in the barbacoa meat for the steak. Such a great food coma. Its also a mexican grocery store so alway good to grab some hot sause.

This place is legit. I have tried almost all of their tacos, a few of their tortas, and their steak and fries burrito. All of it is delicious. They make horchata each day too and it's very good. Make sure to try the Nopales (cactus) taco, it's very good!

This place has one of the best authentic street tacos and some of the best Mexican food around!

The Mexican vibes you see in most grocery stores and restaurants. There is always Spanish music playing in the background, plenty of murals across walls, and an inviting staff. The reviews begged us to try this place, but we did not find anything spectacular. We were really keen on the birria tacos and they just didn't do it for us neither did the pollo taco that I split with my partner. We expected them to be crunchy yet soft, more flavor of the beef especially if you're getting the consumme with it. What we got instead was the tacos being very soft, the consumme felt more watered down because it had no seasoning to it. However the green verde was excellent and went very well with the tacos. Also, the pollo taco didn't have a lot of the seasoning we've come to expect from a Mexican restaurant. It was so so. The service is certainly very quick and the staff is friendly, but that alone won't bring us back. Slightly disappointed!

No frills, just great food. Street tacos, burritos, tortas, breakfast burritos. My wife and I each tried three tacos and the carne asada fries. We will definitely be back!

Best tacos in St. Louis county!!

They have the most delicious tacos I've had in the midwest! The lengua was super tender, fish in the fish taco was well seasoned and lightly breaded, and suadero was cooked to perfection. To top it all off, the owner was very kind and welcoming. After trying out their delicious tacos, tortas, and drinks (they had horchata when we were there), I would recommend checking out the groceries (and ice cream) section as well. The near 5 star rating on Google and Yelp is well deserved.

Food is excellent, but a little expensive. Tacos are small and should be priced .50 to. 75 cents cheaper. Poor A/C, so too warm inside.

Best tacos is West County. Awesome food and customer service. Had an issue one time, when a customer picked up our carry out order by accident. My husband had to wait longer than usual so they could make another order for us. No biggie. He got the order, brought it home and we ate. Delicious as usual. Few minutes later I get a call…the owner called us to apologize for the mishap! Definitely did not expect that. How awesome is that?! Love this place! I crave their tacos.

I have lived in Denver and Miami and had some of the best Mexican food ever. This place is right there as one of the best taco places I have ever had. And it’s in St. Louis!!! Literally blows every other Mexican place in the area out of the park. Could not recommend enough. The skirt steak tacos were too die for. Sad I didn’t discover this place sooner but you need to go! The cantaloupe water was outstanding!

This is the best authentic taco shop in St Louis, IMHO!! The tacos and tortas are fantastic, the agua Fresca is delicious [watermelon is my favorite so far], and the service is great [thanks Diego!]! I love this place, I've been here several times and never had a bad experience. 100% recommend if you are looking for the best tacos in st louis!!
