Was in the area i live in Sarasota but i always went to different cuban pizza places this place happened to be close to me and the reviews were beautiful so i came to El Recreo , i was pleased when I pulled up to be surrounded by beautiful green trees in this concrete jungle. My husband and i ordered, one chorizo pizza, a pepperoni pizza, a spaghetti a mango smoothie. I am always unimpressed by Cuban food in this area but…. Everything was perfect wow I will definitely be back

Very, very delicious food, it's my first time here, I came because of the TikTok posts and we loved the menu, I brought pizzas for the grandchildren, a small but very cozy place, I recommend it 100%

Fritas are great, and big size. The temale however was horrible very hard and no meat. Will return for the frita but never again with that temale.

Never had we eaten from a Food truck and no words to describe the deliciousness of Recreo. We ordered the steak sandwich which was simply amazing. Don’t know what they season it with just pure deliciousness. Also ordered Tamales,Cuban sandwich and Cuban Milk shakes. Mamey and Guyaba. The tamales were handmade fresh full of flavor and the Cubans had fresh pork chunks not sliced. Cubans were toasted to perfection. You have to try the Steak sandwich he slices the meat fresh to order. ❤️ Best in all Tampa Bay 🥩🥩🥩

Everything my wife and I ordered was delicious. That same day I recommended it to my cousin and his friends and they loved it. The minuta, the steak sandwich (bread with steak), the pizza, the tamale and the bomb fruit smoothies, all very delicious, in fact they have a very special seasoning. The owner's wife and the staff in general are very attentive and polite.

A small but very cozy place. The food is exquisite, any dish chosen from the menu reminds us of the original Cuban flavor. My favorite dish: bread with beef steak and mamey shake. First time there today ,great people, i was waiting in my car for my order and the lady came to apologize because she run out of frita cubana ,then she offered a pan con bistek , and i accepted great choice , i let you that reading this knows that was the best pan con bistek that i ever had, and the pizzas were unbelievable good , the best cuban pizzas in this whole area of tampa

I have ordered 2 times at El Recreo Pizzería and everything has been 5 stars ⭐️! I really love the pepperoni pizza with a Cuban style which makes it even better. The way that you can fold the pizza, the cheese, the edges, etc (real Cuban pizza style). I would definitely order again in the future!

Pizza Cuban style was very good and service was super nice. Bit too loud for my preference with the big balloon thing on the air machine right behind the tables. A good one to try out.

I had a delicious Cuban sandwich with a mango smoothie. The staff was pleasant. There’s also outdoor seating. The tube man was loud and blocking my view. It should be placed elsewhere in my opinion.
