Looking for a legitimate soul food restaurant in Miami as I am a recent retiree in south Florida from Philadelphia! So I have a pretty good history with soul food southern cooking. Took a trip down from Miami Lakes on a wet Thursday afternoon to the 'hood! This place is as no-frills as it can get! A few tables, order at the counter, no waitress service as most people do take-out! Very nice menu with all the favorites at super prices for enormous plates of food! Each platter includes your protein, choice of rice & 2 sides! They also do breakfast & sandwiches! So place your order & wait about 5-10 minutes! They also accept credit cards! I ordered a lot because I planned on eating a little at the restaurant & taking the rest back home. I ordered the Meatloaf & a Smothered pork chops & Smothered Chicken wings & a small order of pork spare ribs , along with a bread pudding! Collard greens, Yams, Mac & Cheese, baked beans were my sides along with pigeon peas & rice! The food is tasty, freshly made, hot & very nourishing! This is not fancy anything just good old- school soul food for the locals, no tourists! I copied the bill! Shout out to Brandon, the manager for his great help!

Greens to much vinger.. Mac and cheese dry no taste. 1st time very disappointed. Pork Souse was good... Rice and peas no seasoning🙄🙄

Food is not bad as far as taste, but the last time I was there I ordered short ribs and they were tough and full of fat, I won't be ordering short ribs anymore from this place too expensive and not worth 22.00 dollars 😪

The food was delicious. I had been craving fried chicken for a while, and this place delivered it well. I ordered the Mac and cheese and collard greens to go with it. The Mac and cheese was okay, but the collard greeeensss. Ooooweeee. They were so good. It's hard to find good soul food places in Florida coming from Georgia, but this place showed up and showed out. Will definitely be back

They have the best ribs in Miami bar none yall need to try them I give them a AAA+++. The best

Me and my family were in Miami. My wife had to sing at a funeral. We decided to look up Soul Food Restaurants and glad we settled on this establishment. Im so sorry, but I totally forgot the lady's name at the counter. When I get it I'm returning to add it. However, she displayed GREAT Customer Relation Skills. Actually, my wife sung a song to her encouraging and inspiring her before we left. That bbq chicken and etc was tasteful. We'll Be Back! 👍🏽🙏🏽

The staff was so friendly here they did everything to make us feel welcome and appreciated. The after church crowd was just laughing and having a good time. The portions were huge, I'm a big boy and my tummy was so full I even had leftovers. The food was so good, true southern soul food just like my grandma used to make. Short ribs, greens and a johhny cake to sop up the juice, mac and cheese . it's love

They need to close this place down customer service. Guess she said she the sister the brother that own this place y’all need to get rid of her awful I wish I could do it zero star for service mac & cheese garbage it wasn’t cheese. Yeah, I gotta do better.

Great soul food and large portions at grat prices

We flew from Cincinnati, OH to Miami for a quick getaway and found ourselves hungry when our flight landed, so we searched google for some soul food. That's how ee found Eloise & Earnestine Soul Food. The menu was so extensive that it was hard to select what to order. There was a short wait, but oh, was it worth it! My oxtails were so tender that the meat was falling off of the bones. Cabbage was fresh. Like any good wife, I had a bite of hubbys smothered pork chops, black-eyed peas, and candied yams-delicious! Servings were plentiful enough for 2 or 3 meals and we both ate for less than $40! how rare is that these days? The young lady who took our order truly showed us some southern hospitality-carruing our food and drinks to the table. It was a comfortable setting-like sitting at grandma's table. I'm so glad hubby and I found this fine gem!

Everything was amazing. LITERALLY the best oxtails I've ever had!! Chitterlings were also delicious. Oh, the yams had the perfect amount of sweet and melted in your mouth.. Would definitely recommend.

Wow! This place blew me slap away! I don’t get to go out for good breakfast often so being able to wake up early and venture out into this part of Miami was a pure treat. I ordered some fried chicken strips smothered in gravy with over medium eggs, cheese grits, butter biscuit and fruit punch / lemonade. When I tell you I wasn’t prepared for this goodness.. it slapped me all the way down in my chair to the point I am filled to CAPACITY. Everything had so much flavor the food was hot and tasty. The outside needs a good remodel and the inside could use a makeover but Eloise & Earnestine really did it with the service and food. I’m truly impressed. Being down in Miami with no family it’s hard to have that home cooked feeling and this place gives me such good vibes and I can tell they put heart and soul into what they do here. I absolutely love finding these places. It brings me joy to see hard working people making a living and serving our community without gouging like the rest of Miami does. I really hope that they continue to do great things and I will absolutely come out of my way to visit here time and time again. Don’t take my word for it though come and see for yourself. This place is the REAL DEAL. You have my seal of golden approval. Thanks y’all!

First of all, the customer service was top tier. I felt like I was in my grandma's kitchen. They were so down to earth and attentive. I had ox tail with rice n peas, Mac n cheese, and cabbage. I'm picky about my ox tail and will throw it out if it's not perfect. The bones were so dry after I got finished sucking all the flavor off of em. 😂 The sides were amazing too. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

I loved the food. Not the person on the phone though. I wasn't from Miami & was trying to place an order the order taker wasn't patient. The food made up for everything it was well worth the wait. Omgoodnesss the punch. Omgoodnesss let's just say grab you a plate today.

The ox tails are so tender juicy and good the greens are amazing great flavor added my hot sauce lol and the Mac and cheese was good as well highly recommend but would recommend going early to be able to get the full menu great customer service

When it comes to Soulfood restaurants, they don't get any better than this one. The food is DELICIOUSLY GREAT!!! The young lady at the front who takes the orders treats you like you're family. The place is very clean as well. I recommend everyone who travels to Miami, give this place a visit. They have such a variety of dinners that it'll make your head spin.

Got exactly what we were looking for😋 everything was on point! From the food to the service. Celebrated my eldest daughter's 18th birthday here for some good soul food. All was good, from the shrimp to the catfish to the yams! Everything was delicious and thank you Ms. Africa for your amazing assistance with our birthday dinner. I will be back in the near future.
