It was awful, the snapper was as big as my hand,., And they showed no Shane serving and cheating me out of my money, 10.99+2.25 and charge me $17.00 and had the nerve to put hands out for the change, give and it will be return. I can't believe people eat there, STAY AWAY.

First time ordering and receiving great tasting food .. I had the smother chicken with gravy onions and pepper with grits and eggs and I tell you .. I thought my mother was back there .. You can taste that old time gravy .. The season was to die for .. Grits on point .. Eggs very tasty ...

I won’t be going back first off I found a piece of hair In my food .Disgusting!!!! they give you little grits and eggs, No one shouldn’t see hair on they’re food that means everyone doesn’t have on hairnets which is a safety hazard and they charge u more for cheese and onions don’t give you the amount you paid for . Never again !!!

Didnt have a chance to give a review on my first ever visit a couple months back but I came back for a second time cause I had craving for their southern style homemade breakfast again 😋 Supporting good black businesses.

Thank you Mazie for dedication to the City of Miami. Been going here since they first opened up and still go till this day. I live in tampa now but when im home, i go straight there..

This is the best soul food restaurant ever . They treat you right and Ms.Vanessa will take care of you. I recommend you trying the bacon breakfast, sausage breakfast and the chicken wing breakfast. I love this place they will make you fill like you are at home .

This is a staple in the neighborhood. Black owned family restaurant . They serve some of the best down home soul food that you can get without the hefty price tag. The food is fresh good and hot when served. The best part to me is that the place is clean I can't stress this part enough. The people are always friendly and service is pretty quick. If u want it even quicker place your order by phone. This place is a hidden jewel. Try their Smothered porkchops, turkey wings ,and sweet potatoe pie You'll thank me later😋😊. I've eaten at this place for more than 5 years now and never have I gotten sick nor have I ever found a hair or bug in my food. This restaurant is clean,affordable and the service is good . Ms. Mazie, God bless her sweet little heart. The place is a small cutout that you would not think food is served from, I went in through the back door thinking that it was the front. I didn't wait long for the fresh breakfast to be served, they serve really heavy plates of food! I was trying something different when I ordered the shrimp and grits house special, I had no clue they'd put brown dinner gravy on top of the grits. It was awful man! Just thinking about it makes my tummy turn... I have since ordered the combo without gravy, it's not their fault my tastebuds rejected the mix, it was decent. She is understaffed and overworked, she's loved in her community, she prepares food with love... It's worth a try for breakfast, I've never had their lunch.

The food is really great. The only problem I have is the little bit of grits they put on your plate. I'm a big girl, I love to eat. Besides that, the food is awesome.

I take pride in supporting local businesses but I was disappointed in this breakfast. We have to do better. I ordered snapper and grits w/cheese for $10. Never expected a half slice of cheese that was stuck to a small piece of snapper. This was my second time patronizing Mazies so I was really looking forward to the meal. The food was edible though.

It's took a long time for the food to be ready, there really are no menus so if you have never been there you don't know what to order. I had the shrimp fried rice and for the most part it was good just a lil to salty. Next time I'll get breakfast, but the staff were very nice.

My first time ever trying them out, the staff were professional, the food preparation was a decent waiting time nomore than 10 mins at the most, and the food alone tasted good rated a 8 1/2 for me. I will definitely order from then here on out.

I eat there almost everyday but this morning I bought the kountry kitchen and omg it was not what I expected not does it looks long their advertisement inside the restaurant its not so tasty I don't like the gravy and I thought it was like sauteed shrimp and grits but I would never but it again BTW MY TOAST WAS BURNT
