My first time at Farina was amazing! Right from the start, our awesome server Feddy made us feel so welcome and gave us some spot-on recommendations that really took our meal to the next level. The fried artichoke was the real star of the night—crispy, golden, and packed with flavor. And that pesto dipping sauce? Wow, it was the perfect match. To wrap things up, my husband and I treated ourselves to some gelato. We went with pistachio and salted caramel, and both were out of this world. Seriously, each bite was a little slice of heaven. Farina, you've totally won us over! We can't wait to come back for more.

Our server Feddy was very welcoming and recommended a number of dishes and drinks to us. We even spent some time talking with him after ordering dessert because it was such a pleasant experience. This was our first experience at Farina, and we will definitely be coming back!

We picked it up for take out and the staff seemed to have a hard time getting the pizzas and checkout process done. We paid online, but at first they wanted to charge me again. Eventually they figured out we had already paid. The order was also not correct, but at that point I want going to wait for them to redo it. The pizzas themselves were ok, not great, but not bad. The low rating is mostly for the poor carry out service.

They should be embarrassed to serve this meal (Chicken Piccata). I won’t return.

Sadly, we are saying goodbye to our beloved Farina Alto. This has been one of our favorite places, and we rave about the food (particularly the sautéed mushrooms and bread), insisting on bringing our out of town guests. Today, we didn't see our mushrooms on the menu and were told it was removed 5 months ago because it was too time-consuming to prepare. We were sad but had other other things we wanted to order. So, we referred to the menu to order something that was still there. My mother ordered the Minestrone and a Spinach salad. We were then told that while those things ARE, indeed, on the menu, they didn't have them today. The waiter was so very nice and apologetic- I really felt terrible for him. We decided to go somewhere else, and really can't think about going back unless we hear that things have improved. We are sad. We thought it was odd that at 12:30, the restaurant was strangely empty. Maybe 6-8 tables. Maybe others experienced what we did and have gone elsewhere? I hate to see this happen to such a nice place.

I not sure why it took us so long to eat here. But, dam, I am glad we finally did. The food is great. The cheesecake is homemade and ranks in my top 5. What really put it over the top was the service. Our server, Ashley was a true delight. She was responsive, professional and friendly. We will be back again and again.

It’s was an ideal day and we got to enjoy sitting on the patio for father’s days and we brought our pups. They even without hesitation brought water for the dogs. Service was great from Fred and portions were perfect.

We were a large group, yet service was fast, efficient, and cheerful. All meals for 14 people arrived pretty much at the same minute, all hot. Gorgeous presentation. Delicious.

Pizza was absolutely amazing. Will definitely have to come back and try other items.

Kale salad was not what it said on the menu very hard to chew meatball antipasto were very small no taste but sauce was good wine excellent

This used to be a 5 star review, but the service there lately has been awful, and the staff ignores orders, and then tries to blame the customers. Go to the downtown location, its solid, skip this sub-par knockoff.

I've typically had great experiences here, but last night, 5/23/24, was a bummer. We were seated by the bar, at a table of five. We had no reservations, but we were fine with waiting. Our drinks and appetizers were okay. However, after that, it took over an hour to get our food. And when we did, it was lukewarm at best. $175 to eat cold mac and cheese. I don't necessarily blame the bartender, but they really shouldn't have him serving tables and the bar. He's a nice enough guy, but that task seemed to be too much for him. I don't know why he didn't have support running out the food. Again, usually a great experience, but unfortunately, we were left out in the cold this time. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and my son's graduation. We spent all afternoon hyping up how great the food is. Womp Womp.

The gluten-free pizza is AMAZING! It is so good that I actually called to make sure that it was gluten-free... it was that good. Toppings are amazing and really good quality ingredients... thanks so much! You guys are awesome!!!

This is long overdue. I wrote a bad review because of one rude person on the phone who wouldn’t take my order one minute prior to the deadline. Because I don’t go back and read my own reviews, I didn’t see until now that the manager (owner?) had offered to make it right. That’s class and great customer service. And it’s my fault for not checking back to see if there was a response. Here is my updated review: I’m a pizza guy. Maybe a pizza nerd. Whenever I visit a new city I make it a point to find the best pizza joint. John’s in NYC, Bianco in Phx, Geno’s East in Chicago. Tony’s in SanFran… In Albuquerque, it’s Farina. The sweet/tangy sauce, the crust - crispy and chewy exactly where it needs to be, the quality of the toppings. It’s fantastic. I classify pizza into “pizzeria style” and “fancy style.” Farina is fancy style. And it’s the best in Albuquerque, hands down. I went last week. I’m sure I’ll be back this week. Yum.

Came in only had to wait a couple minutes to be greeted and sat. They place looks nice. Food was rich and tasty. Portions were small for the quality of service. When you are spending 3x the amount than Domino's for pizza you don't expect Domino's level of dine in experience. We had to ask for silverware about 5 minutes after our app was at the table, ask to have the plates cleared, 30 minutes wait for the second pizza to come out, asked for a couple boxes and got 4 pieces of tin foil like it's a good truck. How do you expect me to put noodles in tin foil? The guy I assume is the manager walks around and doesn't interact with any tables. If you're looking for a nicer restaurant similar to this price point and ambience, I would consider zinc or seasons 52.

Coming from the east coast (CT) where we have been voted the best pizza in the country for Sally’s, Pepe’s, Wooster St. pizza etc beating out NY, Chicago…I couldn’t be more thrilled to live blocks from Farina’s! The pizza was AMAZING, the mussels were perfect and the fried risotto balls were pure perfection!

Meatball Calzone was burned, and only 2 small meatballs were inside.

The antipasti was wonderful, fresh and delicious! The meatball pizza is very good.

This place is delicious! My only issue I have had was with ordering drinks from the table. 40%+ of the time I go they are busy and there is a bit of a delay with getting drinks from the bar, however, it is not an inconveniently long of a wait. The food is great, and the atmosphere is top notch.

Their pizzas are delicious. I haven't had a bad one yet. The service is Superb as well. Everyone that works there is the coolest, especially Amber!

Had the eggplant pizza. So good! As was the caprese salad. I highly recommend this place! My only criticism is that service was a bit slow. I wasn't in a hurry so it wasn't a concern to me.

The eggplant Parmesan was good, the margarita pizza was raw still. The appetizers were okay- meatballs were good, but pretty small amount. We weren't a fan on the fried cheese balls that we liked in the past.

I recently visited Farina Alto and was disappointed and surprised to see that they included a force surcharge of 1.5% for their employees' healthcare in addition to the expected tip line item on the tab. While I appreciate the restaurant's efforts to provide healthcare to their employees, I believe that this should be a cost borne by the restaurant and not the customers. What's next?

Go somewhere else. Server kept forgetting stuff. Food is overpriced and was not worth it. Didn’t taste good. Wasn’t presented good. Atmosphere was worth it but that was about it.

Really good penne alla vodka pasta and the patios fountain is really nice for summertime , I came here by myself but would love to take a date here

Good food. $25 for a large (6 slice) pizza. The four of us left a little hungry.

The experience following a movie was great. The main points of food and service both squarely hit the mark. Our server was very accommodating. The pizza and salad were terrific.

I can't say anything about Farina Alto Pizzeria & Winery. It shares the same parking lot as Parton's which is where I ate. But I will eat at the Pizzeria and give you my thoughts.

Customer service wasn't good but my chicken liver pate was great. I'd come back, they have a good menu. Update: Changing my review. They don't serve chicken pate anymore. Meatballs were good but tiny. Caprese salad and pizza was a disaster. Prices are high and service is slow and poor like last time. Never again and I don't recommend it to anyone.

2/14/24 tried Farinos again hoping it had improved…,it has not, service was mediocre, food looked like it was days old & tasted the the same. Very disappointed! This has been a go to for me for years. Usually food is great. Today ordered a pizza & it was soggy. Not sure who the chef was.... but needs some practice on basic pizza skills. Very few customers at the time I was there, 2:3ish so no excuse for giving subpar food. Also being charged $2.00 extra for what equaled a teaspoon of green chili to the pizza was a rip off. 😳 Wonder what’s changed with this establishment 🤔

It was a very nice atmosphere, the food was delicious I had the chicken picatta, it was great just wish it would of came with pasta instead of potatoes, but it might be how the dish I'd traditionally made, my bf had the salsiccia pizza he loved it, I had a few bites and I loved it too, and our server was super sweet, I can't remember her name though

The pizzas were very good. They are pricey so for me it's not an everyday lunch place. But the pizzas are great. Good wines as well

They were very discombobulated. We arrived at around 7:15 PM on 1-27-24. We were party of 7. They seated us fairly quickly, maybe 15-20 minutes. Kind of went downhill from there. Service was ultra slow. We weren’t acknowledged by our server for at least 10 minutes. No water, no bread, no taking a drink order. We had to continually ask for drink refills, spoon s to roll our past, salt and pepper, etc. service was amateurish at best. For $25 per plate (average) we would expect a better level of service. The food was good. Not great. The service experience detracted significantly from the dining experience unfortunately. Then at around approx 9:10 PM, an employee was re-setting up tables for the next day. He was wearing headphones (not earbuds), and “slamming”/placing the dishes extremely noisily in the tables (there were 2 other tables besides us that were still dining). Super uncool. We will try again probably giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was a one by off bad night. But, we were not impressed.

Our server was great! The food very good. We'll go back again...definitely!!!

Lunch today was special 'cause I got to have fried gluten free calimari! Good stuff and the dipping sauces were also gf! Don't get that very often. Would like to visit again when I can sample the wine.

I had the best experience here, the food was great and the service was even better ! The price was well worth it and such a hot spot ! Antonette our server was spectacular ! recommended great dishes and I hope they realize how great of an employee she is !

Best pizza I have ever tasted. The Rigatoni Alla Bolognese was quite tasty, as well, but the pizza was the star. A bit pricey but well worth it. Highly recommend!

Not very good at all. I ordered the antipasto platter, it tasted like it was all from a can. The artichoke hearts and prosciutto were particularly disgusting. The rigatoni tasted like a chef boyardee dish. It was way overpriced for subpar food. There are plenty other Italian restaurants in the city that are decent. This one was a miss for me.

Food and service always good, however after spending over $100 on lunch, I see a charge on my bill that says, "Employee Health" for several dollars. As a senior citizen, I take offense to you adding this charge onto the bill without even informing your customers. Won't be returning. Several weeks have gone by and they didn't even respond to this review, so they obviously don't care either!

The food, atmosphere, the service all great! Then you get your bill and see a "Health Service Tip" fee. WTH? Just nickel and diming people. I don't care what you tell me, if you can't pay your employees properly without coming up with random fees, don't open a business, let alone a restaurant. Just be aware of this when you go have dinner here.

This review is specific to only our most recent visit. We came in on New Year’s Eve, were sat in a spot directly in glaring sun (we should have asked to move and it’s our fault we didn’t) despite there only being two other parties sat in the rest of the restaurant. Once we were sat, while we were promptly brought water, everything else was slow and we felt forgotten. Our food took almost an hour and each drink from the bar was $12-$13 and the full size pizza was $27! When the pizza finally came out one seemed like it must have been sitting under a heat lamp for 20 minutes and was burnt but we were too hungry to ask to have it remade in case we would have to wait another hour. We won’t be going back anytime soon. With $120 tab (not including tip) we should have received much better service, way stronger drinks, as well as better food served in a timely manor.

Macaroni and cheese with green chile and chicken was the bomb.

We split a couple of pizza's, one of our group is gluten free, so we had the gluten free crust. It was delicious, so if you have gluten issues I highly recommend. If you don't have gluten issues even higher recommendations.

This place had really great chicken parmigiana and a great atmosphere. Semi upscale restaurant, nice paintings and lights. Small, cozy bar at the entrance. The staff was extremely nice and provided great customer service. I truly enjoyed this restaurant and will return soon!

Food was very good. Service lacked, as we waitress approached the table once to take our order, and once to deliver. We waited a very long time for our check and boxes. We arrived at opening, and only 2 other tables were in the entire restaurant, so it wasn't due to being busy.

Something’s changed. It wasn’t a good time. The food was off and the service was not there, at all. Very slow and inattentive. And to top it off, they didn’t seem to care at all. The one near downtown is still pretty decent.

Authentic Italian cuisine in a relaxed, upscale atmosphere, perfect for any occasion, including a nice date. I'm here for lunch or dinner as often as I can be. I bring family, friends, or just sit alone and revel in their delicious food. Favorites are the Verde Salad w/chicken, risotto antipasti, and the Penne alla Vodka. Scrumptious! The staff is universally, consistently sweet & hardworking to serve you.

My wife's lasagna was excellent, and my pizza was very tasty.

This location is OK, by the downtown location is preferred. Seems like the pizza is better downtown, although this location has a larger menu offering and a full bar.

Such an unexpected gem! Great wood-fired pizza, friendly server, delicious wine and dessert. A nice sit-down restaurant but they gladly got a high chair for the baby. Would definitely go again.

I have been going here and even done some electrical work for Mr. Keen. As always the food is absolutely phenomenal and the staff super friendly. Congratulations Terry on such a long standing and successful restaurant.

We've frequented both locations, the NE Heights has better parking and a much larger dining area. We went for lunch and was seated and served quickly. Food is always amazing, and they have an absolutely amazing gluten-free crust. Well worth the drive if you live elsewhere in the city.

Farina Alto used to be one of our go-to places. The past couple of times, we've been disappointed. Today, the young man greeting people did not speak to us at all. We decided he'd already spoken to the people who were waiting to be seated in front of us. He was an unfriendly slug of a person. Our Caesar salad was sub-par to those we've had there before, and the croutons were rock-hard. The server was barely adequate even though we supposed she tried. We won't be back, nor will be meeting friends the for quite some time. Whatever has happened to your once really great restaurant?!? Saddened to lose a once favorite place.

Shared a pizza and a salad - had to ask for plates larger than bread plates to eat our dinner off of, and then the attitude with the bartender started….(female). Horrible Caesar salad (did they forget the dressing or was it really that bad?) $18 pizza was almost as bad as the salad (did they forget the toppings and sauce or was it really that bad?) $14 for 1/2 portion martini and a $1.00 up charge for olive juice in the martini, ridiculous!! Numerous restaurant choices in the neighborhood. I don’t see ever gone back.!!

Food was good but not worth the piece. Atmosphere was quiet. Bathrooms were ratchet but clean.

Came in for lunch with friends we had not seen in years. The food was wonderful. We love their pizza (secret tip...add green chile to the Margarita pizza! It's to die for). Our server was marvelous and dealt with all of our extra wishes with grace and a smile. Great food and wonderful atmosphere.

Bolgenise rigatoni not the best. Tasted like plain old rigatoni. Meatballs with vinaigrette nothing special. Bread burnt one side. Customer serv. Was ok.

The food took more than an hour to come out and the chicken was burnt to a crisp, probably because it was in the broiler for an hour. Service was awesome though. Maybe it was an off night.

We had dinner for 16 people and I can't say enough about the excellent service and delicious food. I had the half verde salad and it was filling enough that I ended up taking my pizza home untouched! The pizza, Pepe Caldo, was amazingly good. There's indoor or outdoor dining and you can also eat at the bar. We'll definitely add Farina Alto to our rotation! Everyone loved it.

Monday might be slow for everyone…I love the diversity of menu options. I like off-the-beaten-path options. So delighted to find pâté! Delicious!!! I didn’t love the very pickled veggies but I was quickly offered some alternatives just from conversation. The staff is obviously in tune with the customer experience. The alternative they provided easily made my pâté so much better! The staff was so delightful, and down-to-earth, I’d never miss an opportunity to revisit!

If you’re looking for a pizza beyond the old pepperoni and cheese and cheese, this is the place to find it. Great pizza!!!

I ordered the Lasagna and got a bowl of cheese and marinara sauce. One small piece of pasta. Not exaggerating. My money is better spent elsewhere.

We haven't visited Farina for a while, but I have to say their bartender Amber was so helpful navigating the menu and drink selection we will for sure be back soon. I have special dietary needs and like to try new drinks, the food was perfect and exactly as described and the drink she suggested was perfect for my meal. 10/10 will return again.
