I'm not really a "soup person", but I always order the soup of the day here. It was wonderfully rich and imaginatively created. My main dish was a "Pork Oscar", an interesting combination for sure. ❤️ Wait staff is always very professional and efficient. I will see you again! Thank you!

The menu was unique and creative and the food was amazing. One of the entrees was a TV dinner served in a silver plate, (not exactly the rectangular foils ones we grew up with, I'm happy to report), but a round silver plate with little compartments. We had the trout TV dinner which was over risotto and covered with crab meat, and the salmon which came with yams smothered in a delicious sauce. My only complaint was it was so yummy that I ate the whole thing and didn't have any room for dessert. 🙄 Trust me when I say they looked amazing too. PS And in keeping with the diner theme, they served biscuits, like old fashioned buttermilk biscuits. They were yummy but a bit on the salty side.

Wow- food and service was fantastic. Menu items inventive and delicious! We had the duck sausage and Brie salad as appetizers- high recommend. As our main swordfish- perfection! And trout TV dinner. Server Amy was wonderful as well. Don’t miss this treasure!

Updated review: went back a few years later and it's not the same. Then ahi tuna app was overly salty and the short ribs were nothing special. We were visiting my wife's family from Chicago and decided to stop in for a nice dinner. For an appetizer, she got the tuna and wasabi appetizer and i got the brie soup. We both ended up getting the baramundi special. Everything was absolutely delicious! We eat fine dining all the time and let me tell you, these are some well crafted meals.

Take it from a local, it’s no secret that Vero is a fine dining desert. Thankfully, Fire and Wine is a welcome oasis. It’s not that other restaurants don’t have decent food, but what they offer is all the same. Their lack of creativity is astounding. Not so at Fire and Wine, and that’s why it’s our favorite. .

Super nice time and meal! The menu items were inventive and nicely prepared (the winning dish was the TV Dinner Duck Confit Lasagna), everything was reasonably priced and the service was excellent; from the kind host and attentive server. We'll be making a reservation to dine again soon.

Everything you've heard is true, Fire and Wine is a little hole in the wall in a strip mall. There is a sign over the outside entrance that says 'DINER'. Inside, you will find the nicest people and some of the best food anywhere on the Treasure Coast. They have an extensive wine list, and everything is cooked fresh in their kitchen, which is open, right in the front where you can see it. The dining room is compact and always full, so you will want to make reservations. The menu is limited and distinct, featuring mostly seafood. I had the fried oysters, which were melt in your mouth delicious, and my date had the duck. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portions were filling. I highly recommend that you try the fare and Fire and Wine.

My husband and I have been wanting to eat at Fire and Wine for quite some time and it did not disappoint! I've read reviews about not letting the outside appearance fool you and I couldn't agree more. We were greeted and seated by Roger upon our arrival. We had reservations and I highly recommend calling ahead for a reservation. You most likely will not get a table. The inside is quaint and intimate, yet warm and welcoming. Missy was our server and she was absolutely amazing! She was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. You'll definitely want to ask for her! Okay, let's get to the deliciousness...I had the tuna sashimi appetizer and my husband had the duck sausage and waffle appetizer. The tuna sashimi was perfection. The duck sausage and waffle had my mouth watering and I wanted more. Our entrees were the sea bass with risotto and asparagus and filet steak with a spinach ravioli. Two phenomenal displays of love on a plate. We had to end our anniversary dinner/husband's birthday with the white chocolate crème brûlée and carrot cake bread pudding with a strong cup of Joe with their fresh cream. My only regrets are that we haven't tried this place sooner and I didn't take pictures of this experience. We will be back! Thank you, Roger and Missy for such a great evening.

This is a wonderful little place tucked into a shopping area. DINER on the facade but their signs in the front windows. The Owner and host greeted us at the door seated us and chatted for a while. Lovely man. Surfboards and surfing photos adorn the walls, the staff dress in casual clothes and they create a relaxed atmosphere. Dave was our server, very attentive, and gave us a verbal list of specials with so much detail that made your mouth water. They serve a selection of Wines and Beers. ( No liquor) The Menu was small but the selections were varied and interesting. My appetizer was a melted wedge of Brie on a bed of bib lettuce surrounded by cut fruits and berries. My Entrée was Fried crunchy coated Louisiana style Oysters over a bed of Rizotto and Asparagus Spears. Stars for both dishes. Yum! Guests enjoyed Pork Schnitzel with Salad and a Tenderloin of Pork with an Asian style sauce. I tasted both, excellent. Desserts are written on Chalk boards on the wall. A selection of 4 on this day,all very well described and mouthwatering. A selected Bread pudding with a chocolate sauce whipped cream and a vanilla bean ice cream. What a wonderful finish to a truly lovely meal. We had a great time, Kudos to the Chef and Staff.

Can I give them 10 stars?!?! Roger and Tyler took such good care of us, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu or the specials. It is a foodie heaven with the sea bass and farro risotto with a reduction and asparagus that had a touch of charcoal flavor. The pork dish was cooked perfectly with a simple flavorful spinach and blueberry reduction glaze. Try the carrot hummus and boratta as appetizers, but also save room for the bread pudding and bittersweet chocolate pie. Absolutely wonderful service and Tyler food the best care of us along with Roger. Thank you for a fabulous dinner!

Terrible and over priced. I told the waiter I was vegetarian and asked what they could make since there were no vegetarian dishes on the menu. He went and spoke with the “chef” who said he would make me something with the sides and veggies they had for the day. I said that sounded great. What I was given was a plate of charred yet raw vegetables, some kind of veggie hash which was bland, beets that were over cooked, stewed tomatoes and the worst was everything was swimming on a plate of balsamic and pesto vinaigrette. It was drenched and soggy. Even if you had served raw vegetables it would have been better. When they asked how it was I was honest and said underwhelming. The guy then said that people “who know them” call a day in advance to request vegetarian dishes. That is ridiculous to me, a “chef” should be able to prepare something creative and delicious regardless if they’re given a “heads up”. My partner had a completely boring seafood pasta, he said it was bland and uninteresting. I gave them one star for the pear parsnip soup which was fine. The entire meal cost $91 with tip. Way too expensive. I have no issue paying for a great meal but this was just bad over priced food. Another bad mark is that we sat in the back by the door that leads outside and all night staff was going out to smoke and wafts of cigarette smoke kept coming in. Very unappetizing. Won’t be back.

Don't know why it took me so long to get back to Fire & Wine but so glad I finally did. What an exceptional evening. A simple start with a very tasty biscuit (Who'd have thought?) followed by beef wonton appetizer which was excellent but surpassed by the tuna and wasabi coleslaw. Main courses of melt in the mouth filet-mignon accompanied by fries in a basket with a Gruyere cheese dipping bowl - what a combination! Desserts were excellent too - carrot cake bread pudding and a Devil's Food Cake with a twist - a baked accent piece with fragments of cracked pepper! Whoever came up with that (you know who you are) is brilliant. The pepper at once contrasted and complimented the sweetness of the Devil's Food Cake and salt-caramel topping. Matched by exemplary service the evening was an absolute delight. Thank you, Roger, Tyler and the rest of the staff. See you again soon.

What a fabulous find on our trip to Vero Beach! The food was inventive and delicious. Our seats were near the open kitchen and watching the chef and his two sous chefs was like watching a well choreographed dance. Roger, the owner is awesome and makes you feel like an old friend. Our server, Tyler, was very attentive even with a full house we felt like we were the only table he had for the night. Mike made sure we were well hydrated and attended to anything we needed. Don't be fooled by the location in the strip mall and the word Diner above the door. Major culinary dishes are behind that door that should not be missed.

What a hidden gem! This restaurant is so unassuming, that you might think you’re in the wrong place when you arrive at the strip mall it’s located at. Roger, the owner, handled our phone reservation, came to speak with us several times during our meal, and even brought us some special selected wine bottles that were not on the menu yet (he’s also a highly rated sommelier). The kitchen prepared both fillet mignon and fish to perfection and Amy our server was extremely attentive throughout our experience. Cannot wait to go back and experience this again and try new menu items!

Outstanding experience! Staff was warm and welcoming and the food was on par with some of the top rated restaurants we've had the pleasure of dining at around the country. The Tuna sashimi with Wasabi coleslaw and pan fried scallops in a mouth watering broth were our starters and paired well with glasses of Silver Peak Pinot (fantastic choice if you like Pinot Noir) After looking at the generous portion sizes at other tables, we split the Barramundi fish special which was topped with a savory mango chili sauce served on a bed of sauted rice, calamari and fire roasted Asparagus........amazing! Last but not least if you like pecan pie they put a spin on it substituting pistachios in a tart served with a flavorful vanilla ice cream. Don't let the unassuming exterior deter you from an experience that will have you thanking the kitchen staff for their efforts.

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday tonight after searching and researching for the best dinner in vero and they live up to their reputation and more. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, the presentation is classy and the food is prepared by an obvious master of his craft. The short ribs melted before I had a chance to chew and the creme brûlée is hands down the best I have ever tasted, but what really stands out and makes this a place I will continue to visit is the staff. As soon as i walked in it felt like I was visiting old friends. They made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we set foot in the door till the moment we left. I’m only leaving 5 stars because they won’t let me leave any more. I see why people hail Fire and Wine as a local treasure. Do yourself a favor and give them a visit.

I truly appreciated the friendliness and excellent customer service from our waiter, Mike, and our host with the most, Roger. The broccoli purée soup was excellent and we ordered the monkfish with carrots and mushrooms normally on top of potatoes but the chef was nice enough to substitute spinach per my request and everything blended together fantastically. My date ordered the filet mignon with french fries and a lovely dipping sauce that we could’ve had as a soup because it was so delicious. Everything tasted fresh without being overly seasoned. Roger was even kind enough to give us his time and well educated recommendation on what wine we should purchase to pair with our venison dinner at home the following night. We will definitely be back again and again.

The best place in Vero. Hidden in a strip mall 15 minutes from downtown, but worth the ride. The owner is welcoming, the place is cozy. Modern-southern food dark/bright, smooth/spicy and homestyle goodness. Nothing boring about this soul food and portions that leave you perfectly full. A little pricey, but you won’t hear me complain.

We had a wonderful early dinner here the other night. It’s located in a small Winn Dixie strip mall, but don’t let that fool you! Reservations are a must and everything in the menu is top quality- with excellent service. The only warning is, it can be warm in there, and a little on the noisy side. But so worth it for the food. A lovely surprise at the end of the day. It small and quaint with a boutique feel. The moment you walk in the door the owner is there to greet you. I noticed how it remembered names and birthdays ☺️ I was pleasantly surprise by the exquisite menu. This is a menu you would see in high end fine dining restaurant and it was executed in the same fashion. I am beyond impressed with the family atmosphere and the thoughtful plates set before me. The sweet corn soup was a perfect blend of flavors and texture. The ahi tune was fresh and accompanied with a spicy mustard slaw and the final piece was their short ribs cooked to perfection with whipped potatoes and reduced collard greens... right when I thought I could take another bite... I did, into a perfect creme brûlée. Thank you for a wonderful evening ❤️
