This is a little hole in the wall place that is amazing! Jose and Lori always bring you the freshest ingredients and the authentic Jalisco Mexican flavors. The food tastes incredible. Best Mexican food in the area.

Flaming Burrito is the absolute best place for quick but quality Mexican food in this area. Their food is fresh and delicious. You can tell it’s high quality ingredients. I try to go often as it’s a family run business and the owners are awesome. It’s exactly the kind of mom and pop restaurant I love to eat at. Their carne asada is great. We also really enjoy the fresh salads.

This place and its owners are a treasure. Although we've never lived in Auburn, for years now the Flaming Burrito has been a much anticipated lunch stopover for our family when passing through the area. Even after moving overseas, we just had the opportunity to drop back in and it's still the best!

This place is fire! Very good service, first off. The owners seem like a nice couple of dudes, except one of them is a girl. The restaurant just has a nice atmosphere. And the FOOD, bro. Easily the best Mexican cuisine I've had on the west coast. I love the California tater tot burrito. It's just meant to be put in a zip up pocket. (If you know you know.) Bathroom's also pretty rad. That toilet can FLUSH.

Dined here for the first time yesterday evening. Wow! Absolutely the best Carne Asada Fajitas ever! Meat was super tender, veggies so fresh and portions generous. Wife had Carne Asada Fajita Burrito and was very happy. Owners are super nice. We will be coming back regularly!

The gigante grilled chicken burrito was really good and quite large. It was smothered with a very mild red chili sauce and cheese and filled from end to end with tasty ingredients. The service was very polite and helpful. The number of seats are fairly limited so groups or families may have difficulty finding a way to sit together. The interior is somewhat plain.

I don't know how I didn't know about this place!!! Best Mexican restaurant in town. I got the Chile relleno & shirp taco and it was delicious 😋 !! Fast , clean and super friendly people. Will come back to try the giant burrito.

Had some chicken tacos with a side of beans and rice. Everything was really good, there was almost to much chicken in the tacos so it felt worth the price. The real star of the show was the green tomatillo sauce, it was so good I put it on everything.

Flaming Burrito Grill is definitely the most delicious Mexican restaurant in Auburn. The chef is on point. The plates are full of meat, rather than being stacked with rice and beans at other places, and the presentation of the meals is also well done. So, if you are coming here, expect good food. The service gets 3 stars for two reasons. First, there is no chip bar, and you will pretty much only get one small thing of chips during your stay here. Second, the cost of the menu, although not outrageous, is still slightly more than a typical competitor Mexican restaurant. (Say compared to El Portal also here in Auburn.) For example, we took our two small children to the restaurant and ordered a side of chicken. It was $12.00 for this small amount of food. Now, I'd love to give a higher service rating due to the chef, who has come out to our table on one of my other visits and checked on our table. He is friendly and definitely good at his craft. Overall, this is not a terribly busy restaurant with definitely delicious meals!

The best Mexican food in town, hands down. The carnitas are the best I've ever had. So flavorful, crisp, juicy and tender, everything carnitas should be. Everything is fresh, hot and delicious. The Carnitas California Burrito used to be my favorite (it's the best burrito ever, seriously)until I discovered I have celiac and can't have gluten. Family run business, always friendly and you can tell they put lots of love and care into their business. Closed Sunday and Monday but open 11-8 the rest of the days.

Really good Carne asada tacos. The medium salsa was perfect, just a little burn 🔥. Overall meal was Fire. Only downgraded atmosphere as it was just kind of plain inside.

The owners are the sweetest people! I went twice to the restaurant while on my trip. I had the enchiladas and the avocado salad with carnitas. Both were delicious and brought out to me quickly. I would highly recommend this to locals and any visitors to the area!

Beer at 32 degrees comes out frosty. Salsa as good as it gets. Friendly family owned. The couple have been married 26 years and communicate perfectly and are 100% committed to their food profession.

We came to this place on the recommendation of a local. First off, there are so many choices on the menu which makes it hard to make a choice. In the end I had the chile relleno burrito (veggie) which was perfection. The taste, freshness of ingredients and level of heat were just right. Sadly, I was too hungry and didn’t snap a photo of this beauty before it was devoured. The chips and salsa were really fresh and tasty as well. I’m looking forward to my next visit. The owner Jose came out to check on us and we told him that the food was amazing.

Love the Flame - we drive from Lincoln at least once a month. Having lived in SoCal and New Mexico, this is right up there with the best of the best for Mexican food throughout.the Southwest - and such great service from the owners that are there every time! See you there soon!

This place I have passed by so many times and taco tree and Mexican market close at 7 so I was like what the hell I'll try it. Omg it was so good. They give you chips and salsa with every item sides of sour cream and gauc. They don't hold back. I wish they had a menu online I could read and a drive threw would send it over the top. You have to try this place. The owners where nice when I walked in they were hugging so cute. thanks.

This place is great! The service was outstanding. My partner and I came basically 10mins before closing and the wan at the counter was friendly and warm and the food was delicious. It was a great first experience.

Great burritos, and even better service. The burritos are very large, you definitely get what you pay for. The prices are a little high, but worth it. I can rarely finish one burrito because it's so large. The staff are super friendly and make you feel welcome. We will continue to go back here.

I remember coming here years ago and the food was pretty good. I recently returned to town and wanted to try this location again but unfortunately the chef wasn't wearing a mask when I walked in. I'll have to try again after COVID is over.

This place is a gem! I got thg he burrito bowl with carnitas and it was amazing, the carnitas was both tender and just slightly crispy and the bowl was family size... the tacos are amazing as well. Couple that with wonderful service and super nice people and you get a real gem. Highly recommend.

we have been to flaming burrito about three times now. We find that we go out of our way when were in Auburn to go to that place specifically. We always order the carnitas burrito and it is consistently good. The husband and wife that owned it and cook, always make everyone feel welcome. We look forward to returning.

We ordered Grilled Chicken Super Burrito and Carne Asada Quesadilla. Both were great. Chicken was very tender and tasty. Quesadilla came with real steak meat; it was really great. First time I have seen a real steak meat used in the dish. Keep it up!!! I recommend Quesadilla; you will not regret. Chips are very good too. Salsa bar is super nice and tasty. Good clean place, great customer service!!!!! Keep up great work!!!

We found this great place by looking up reviews. We contracted with them to provide a taco bar for our son and daughter-laws rehearsal dinner, which was held at Knee Deep Brewery in September. From ordering, to pick up, and returning of a few of their borrowed items, the service they provided was impeccable!! All in attendance absolutely loved the food as well. The owner/cook, helped guide me through the ordering process and I couldn't be happier about how it all turned out and it didn't break the bank!! Thank you for the wonderful food and service!

Cute little hole in the wall place. But be prepared to pay, because wow, its expensive. I got the fajita burrito, and it was $13.50. So I was expecting it to be super big, or super fancy and it was neither. Just a typical taqueria burrito. My husband and I each got a burrito, I got a side of rice and beans and no drinks and the total came out to $30. So it's a pretty expensive lunch. Tasty, but expensive.

Amazing food amazing owners!! This is my go to spot for amazing food period in auburn. We try so many places but it is 90% yuk rate. Very picky about my food and this place is fresh and the carnitas and carne Asada is amazing!!

Food is amazing and hospitality is definitely there! One of my favorite Mexican food places out there and I've been to quite a few! Their complimentary chips and salsa is top notch with several options on the salsa and the hot is actually hot! That five star average rating is NO JOKE. Definitely make sure to give this place a try if you're in Auburn or even just visiting because it does not disappoint. I'll be visiting whenever I'm in town for sure!

This place is awsome, all food made fresh daily, everything is made with love, and comes through in the taste. You gotta dig a little when it comes to price but you won't regret it and portions are hefty, a rare quality of food at a reasonable price don't hesitate to stop. It's top notch and a very clean restaurant to boot.
