Amazing Cuban sandwich and flans. I just love their traditional flan, it taste so rich and creamy. Their cuban sandwich is loaded with streaded pork and taste amazing. Highly recommend.

Back in July, my family and I took a vacation to Clearwater and stopped in Tampa. When I tell you, this is the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had, I'm not lying. It's been a month and I wish I wasn't in Indiana so I could be back!

We had a fantastic experience at the Flan Factory. The food was delicious, the coffee was excellent, and the customer service was exceptional—attentive and friendly throughout. Highly recommend!

Delighted with the food, service and Delicious Flan. Coming down from Virginia for work training. first time dining here. My coworker brought us down to this A1 Cuban Place. Ate a Pan con bistec and a Guanabana Flan WOW!! I couldn’t finish the whole sandwich just ate the other half while flying back home. Awesome service and food. Keep it up!!

Stopped by here on my husbands birthday and it did not disappoint! The flan was delicious, and both sandwiches we got were good as well. The prices are fair, and the atmosphere is so cute!! I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend making the trip to try this place if you’re in the area

I remember the moment I found out about this place. It was watching YouTuber Bramty. Over a year ago I believe, So thank you Bramty... I love this location I go there often it is worth the drive. They are just awesome.

Of course, this restaurant has amazing flan, especially the Coquito, but they have so much more than just flan. There is a great variety of other foods, and we especially enjoyed the empanadas and the French toast.

My husband and I were in the area from Spring Hill and we chose the Flan Factory just by Google. I was feeling adventurous in recommending Cuban Sandwiches for lunch. Btw, I never liked them but the hubs does so ok I'm doing the compromise thing. The place is really cute and comfortable inside. The girls working are very friendly- but more than that, the food was AMAZING! I absolutely LOVED the Cuban Sandwich! My husband explained to me how it is the real deal. He said it's because of the pork. I said I thought they are like a Italian sub with pickles on pressed toasted bread, he laughed. This is what we both are missing. (True Story 😊) and the Flan........just as incredible! My husband had the Reeses and I had Cafe DuLeche omg heaven. One last thing, order the Horachato, another thing made from scratch. Most coffee shops don't make this, but it was soooo good here. Even had a great conversation with the Manager who was so approachable and friendly. My final thought other than we WILL be back, but the FLAN FACTORY made a Cuban Sandwish lover out of me!! Don't miss this place! I wish I took pictures!

I am new to Tampa, and after a local recommendation, I keep visiting The Flan Factory and having an absolutely delightful experience! OK, with that name, you know flans would be delicious, what makes them great is a perfect balance of sweetness, flavors, and perfect texture. The staff and ambiance of the place are warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a treat. A special shoutout to Esther, the manager, who goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has a wonderful time. Her friendly staff, the sandwiches, arroz a lo cubano, and attentive service are truly what make our repeated visits memorable. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite spots in all of Tampa. Called the “Flan Factory”, and don’t get me wrong, it’s the best I’ve had, but the Cuban Sandwiches are by far the best anywhere!! Family owned and you can tell, you won’t be disappointed. Excellent food and great atmosphere..highly recommend!!

I love this place! The food is delish! The flan is hands down the best!

This place was completely full around lunch time on a weekday, with a line out the door while it was raining, if that gives you any indication how good it is. Cuban sandwich second to none as the pork they make in house is to die for. They put mayonnaise on their cubans which is a huge no-no, but tell them to leave it off if you’re a cuban purist. Their espresso is also on point, get a cortadito if you like strong cuban style coffee!

Drove 1hour+ to try their Flans. With a name like Flan Factory you'd think it'd be rare for them to run out of flans; not the case here. Decided to try their Horchata iced coffee, faint horchata flavor found. Tried their Coconut Shrimp po' boy; I was both aesthetically pleased and disappointed at the same time. The bread was delicious (they get it from La Segunda Bakery) but I felt I was given a lettuce sandwich. They strategically place three evenly centered shrimp in each half of the sandwich, and drizzle a dressing (can be compared to Thousand Island dressing) but I could not find the coconut flavor in the coconut shrimp. A coconut milk sauce would have elevated the sandwich, in my opinion, and even putting 4 shrimp on each half instead of 3 would make a big difference (the sandwich is $14). Now, the flan: they ran out of the flavor I was interested in trying but like the other items I ordered, the flavor just wasn't there. The cashier was nice 👏🏽.

First time coming here all of the way from Naples! What a modern twist to the traditional Cuban food I grew up having. Juliet was awesome and recommended El Tampeño Cuban Sandwich, which was by far the BEST sandwich I've had in a long time. Thank you for the recommendation Juliet! Pro tip: order the cilantro aioli/crema with the sandwich!! You won't regret it.

Their brick-like flan will get you thinking that it may have been stored too long. Don’t expect a silky texture.

This is a tough review to write, and I wish I could give different scores for different items. First off, this is a small restaurant in a very transitional part of Tampa with plenty of parking and a nice feel inside. For the service, I ordered a to go order at 2:30 on a Saturday and it took over 30 minutes to receive my order. Take it for what it’s worth- but be prepared to wait. Service is good, albeit not as great as other family run Latino restaurants in the area. For the Cuban sandwich- the portion is huge, but it fallas short of some of the better Cubans out there. 4 out of 5 as the pork didn’t have much flavor, but the rest was good. Also ordered an appetizer of tostones. The dipping sauces are great- and tostones were good. 4.5 out of 5 Ordered a fried rice bowl with chicken. Unfortunately the chicken was dry, but the real shake is this dish lacks an identify. The main flavor is really derived from the bean sprouts as they are so many of them. I think with a nice sauce, and better proportions- this could be a home run. As it stands now, 3.8 out of 5. Now let’s talk about the name sake/ Flan. If you want anything other than the small portion, they require 24-48 hours notice. So we ordered the original flavor and I can tell you it is fantastic. Or flanTastic! Highly recommended. It is dense, but not too heavy. Great flavor and keeps you wanting for more. The Flan Factory is great place to go for fantastic flan. But there are better Cuban places in town.

Best Cuban sandwich I have ever had, great Bistec sandwich too. Sweet potatoe fries were crispy and delicious and very well made muduros! Definitely worth my drive to get here.

come here if you want to be treated like family!!! if I could give a higher score, I would. I originally saw this place on tiktok and wanted to try because of my flan obsession. My sister and I went… and let me just tell you, we were immediately treated like family. The staff explained the entire menu and we wanted to try everything they suggested. The entire staff are the kindest and most helpful people. We got our apps and entrees and wowowowowow we were blown away. The fried rice is to die for. I think i’ve nearly tried every sandwich (Mojo pork is my personal fav). And the flan!!! I got orange, original, pistachio, nutella, and cafe con leche. All were so so good but the orange really blew me away. In fact, I went back a week later and they had cycled new flavors so the orange wasn’t offered currently. I told Esther that the orange was my absolute favorite and asked when it was coming back. She told me that she would make it later this week and set some aside just for me!!! This place has earned a life long customer.

Friendly & fast!! Went on a Saturday night to get a taste of the hype, the flan serving size was smaller than I expected but worth every bite. The cafe con leche was fantastic, too!

Loved the entire experience at Flan Factory!

I just discovered this place for the first time and it is a small gem somewhat hidden away from the main road. Every single person I interacted with was super friendly and I was made to feel very welcome from the very second I walked in. I have now eaten here a few times and the food has always been fresh and very tasty. The flan is absolutely amazing and the breakfast is just as good. I will definitely be visiting again.

We saw an Instagram post about this place. First time here and it is amazing. Food was really good I had the biscuits and chorizo gravy what an amazing twist on an original. Cuban sandwich was also really good. Plus our food came our quick and everything is made fresh to order. We drove from Davenport so about an hour away definitely worth the trip.

Flan in so many options was unique, even for the area. Three, four...maybe but this many is unheard of. I had the coconut and it was absolutely fantastic. The Cuban was very good, but after a visit somewhere else I'm paying more to the meat ratio. Here, I think there's a little too much of the slow roasted pork...it throws off the balance a tiny bit. Don't get me wrong, it was absolutely delicious, but I'd rather there was a little bit less of the roasted pork. The service from the three different folks I interacted with was all great as well. I was approached at the end and asked if I'd ordered flan and if so would I like to take it to go or eat it now. Perfect. I almost forgot to mention the best empanadas I had in Tampa! I only tried the beef but it was fully stuffed and amazing. I can't wait wait to come back and visit my partner. ♥️🌴

Great Cuban sandwich and excellent flan.

It was delightful. From the friendly service to every bite of food. We had the El Tampeno Cuban sandwich with a side of plantain chips (with the most tasty sauces) we shared between us. We ended our meal with flan, of course. I had the blueberry almond flan and my wife, the salted caramel flan. The Cubano was so filling we each took a full half home. The staff was friendly and helpful, service quick and accurate and the atmosphere was fun! I would highly recommend!

The Cuban French Toast was so good I almost cried when eating it. It was so, so good....

This was my third time visiting this establishment, and this time the staff disappointed me, I ordered an horchata iced coffee that honestly didn’t taste like horchata but was okay, and I also ordered a Pan con Pollo that wasn’t cooked throughly, I spoke to one of the cooks who told me it was cook but what do you guys think?? I wouldn’t recommend coming here.

The passion shows! What an amazing restaurant! What an amazing family! The customer service is unmatched. I flew into Tampa today with my husband for his surgery tomorrow. I have been salivating over their menu for weeks with anticipation. They did not disappoint! They surpassed my expectations. I expected it to be good but it was amazing. I ordered with Door Dash and they left something out by mistake and the owner's mother drove out of her way to make it right - and not only made it right but brought me double what they left out. They care what people think about their restaurant because they built it with passion - it means something more to them than just money. It's about pride in what you do and about family heritage. I will dream about this place. From the Cuban sandwich to the Cortadito, and the plantain chips to the amazing flan - each a piece of art - and with a few surprises - the cilantro crema and the cilantro aioli with the plantain chips was an unexpected treasure. I vow to return to Tampa one day just to visit the Flan Factory!

It’s been great to see how this local restaurant has not only expanded its fare but also the physical space. The customer service has always been good and friendly. The owner, Doña Ester, is always present and ensuring that the place is running smoothly. The food is very good, the chicken turnover had the perfect crispness and the meat was flavorful. The turkey sandwich was great, tasty and the onions were a great addition. The salmon burger was fresh and a wonderful option if you’re looking for some lighter fare. There flan… well that is the best part!! Do not leave without ordering some flan.

AMAZING FLAN!! I tried the coquito flavored flan and it was practically perfect. Spot of flavor combination of traditional flan and coquito. Perfectly smooth and rich flan. I’m personally not used to flan this thick and rich however it was still amazing. 10/10 Regarding the food I ordered the Island Boy. Fresh ingredients but very skimpy portion on the sauce which made it kind of dry. 7/10 Great atmosphere and customer service. Keep in mind it’s still ybor prices

I have had the pleasure of dining at Flan Factory several times, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The Cuban sandwiches here are truly a treat, boasting fresh ingredients and an explosion of amazing flavors. But let me tell you, the steak sandwich stole my heart—it's an absolute must-try! Now, let's talk about their Cuban Asian fried rice; it's a culinary masterpiece that will transport your taste buds to another dimension. They have an insanely delicious horchata drink infused with coffee, a unique and delightful combination. And now, let's not forget the Flans! They taste like Abuelas took over the kitchen to make them, and my personal favorite is the Arroz con Leche. It's nostalgia and sweetness in every bite. I can't recommend Flan Factory enough for a delightful culinary experience that brings together the best of Cuban flavors. You won't be disappointed!

FLantastic! Everything was prepared perfectly. I am now understanding how Flan is popular. Previous tries were just mushy loafs with a hint of vanilla flavor. These are amazing fluffy little spoonfuls of deliciousness. I wish I was in this area more often to try everything on the menu.

Wow. I have to say wow for this place. The food is amazing. I've eaten here multiple times and I've tried a variety of the hot food menu options and everything has been delicious. I would recommend to anyone. Make sure you get some flan to take home. I wish I could give it 5 stars for the hot food and 5 stars for the flan. This place is definitely a 10/10.

An incredibly diverse array of flan - I’ve never had better! Plus, there are many other unique menu items reflecting the Cuban/Caribbean experience. Try something you’ve never had before - you’ll love it! They recently expanded their dining area, so there is MUCH more seating than before.

Five star food and service. The hostess check on us and when done with our sandwiches got the flan, perfect timing. A must to return for another sandwich and flan. So many choices, want to try them all. It was busy but fast.

BEST CUBAN SANDWICH! (We have tried many even at Columbia restaurant) Definitely make this a stop! They get their bread each morning from “La segunda bakery” - I can say that this is a hidden gem! They have limited parking. The flan is fine (not overly sweet). Just WOW!

I had their Pan Con Pollo alongside a passion fruit juice, and it was truly amazing! My boyfriend got a breakfast Cuban and loved his as well. Despite the bustling atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, we found ample seating both indoors and outdoors. Our orders arrived promptly, exuding freshness. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to everyone!

We enjoyed our first trip to The Flan Factory. We had some Cuban that were tasty and full of juicy pork, some delicious tostones with yummy sauces and the not to miss flan. They had a huge selection of flavors for the flan. We'll be back.

This is an absolute gem. The food is outstanding especially for the price. I’ve had three different sandwhiches here and all have been excellent in their own way. The flan is mouthwatering—coquito is probably our favorite flavor. On top of excellent food and service, the owner is there everyday and she is the sweetest human being—very inviting. The Cuban sandwiches are our favorite in Tampa. The vibe inside and out is very cute. Overall 11/10 experience. We recommend this restaurant to everyone we know who is visiting. I never leave google reviews, but I did this time because it’s that good.

Laid back, out-of-the-way casual eats with fantastic Cuban sandwiches and flan custard!

I’m actually from Miami Was visiting this place I heard good things about it but being from Miami and being around Cuban food, this place was just OK. The food was not so much the problem. I think it was the owner She’s not super friendly, but what I didn’t notice is that she is friendly to her white customers And certain people that dress well I happen to just be wearing a T-shirt and some shorts that’s because I just finished driving 4 hours so I was not my best dress she was extremely dismissive to me, but had a really good conversation with the white guy in front of me, and then the white ladies behind me and dismissed me. I think she should be a little bit more friendlier or have one of the girls that work there be the cashier and maybe she should just step aside. she’s like any typical Hispanic person, very overpowering And everybody is beneath her I am Spanish I would know. Just my thoughts. Next time treat everyone equally.

Food was good BUT one plate came to the table about 15 min before the second plate so one person ate then had to wait for the other to get their food and eat. It was very small and crowded, no place to sit so we had to sit outside which was not pleasant. The flan was good but entirely too small for the price. We didn't get much for our $53

Coming from Miami and Cuban cuisine being part of my upbringing, the best Cuban sandwich I’ve had in years was at Flan Factory. Let’s start by saying the frita took me back to late clubbin nights and going to Flagler for a Frita afterwards. Hands down the best! The Cuban sandwich was spot on. The Cuban fried rice was OMG delicious! Side of tostones and fried cheese was fire! Washed it down with the horchata iced coffee and topped it off with 13 flavors of flan. Yes you heard me 13 and more flavors to choose from. I couldn’t get just one.

A very subtle but charming space showcasing not only Cuban culture but Latin culture entirely with the history of ybor and the flavors of the flan let alone the delicious empanadas! I definitely recommend going here for a first date or your 100th date. It is a very cozy and welcoming space

A few coworkers and I decided to give it a try after seeing it on INSTAGRAM. The Cubanazo is definitely an acquired taste, the Timbe was delicious, the cuban sandwich fell flat for me. It had too much oregano, and it took forever to get my sandwhich, which came out wrong. I asked for mayo, no mustard, no pickles. I had waited so long I just ate it. I was the first to order from my group and the last to get my order. I will say the coquito Flan was delicious! Nice atmosphere, food was ok, service was ok.

This is a long overdue review, but here goes. I am a small business and I LOVE supporting other small businesses. Flancito came through in such a big way for me when I had the ribbon cutting for my business. I was so grateful to them for working so fast and making my event above and beyond! Everyone LOVED all the different flavors and we even had a flan virgin in the house! Customer service is outstanding, food is drool worthy and the flan…. So. Good.

We went here after the line for the empanada festival was too long. Glad we did, ate our fil and probably spent less. I had steak sandwich(a little dry, but good, some hot sauce was key) and my wife had the chicken fried rice(very good). I'm not big on flan, but she loves it and said it was very good. She ended up being able to try three flavors because we ordered one with our meal, and they asked us if we wouldn't mind changing tables for a big party that was coming in, no big deal and offered us a free flan. When she asked for the free one on the way out they were out of the one that she asked for, so they gave her two of a different type. I had a good meal and brought home a happy wife with leftover dessert for tomorrow. Absolutely recommended.
