Not a kid friendly place and the service was horrible.. our appetizer was delicious but after a 20 minute wait for a server we paid and left

New in the area.....passed by the place and saw good reviews so I couldn't resist to try it out. Service was pleasent and friendly. I wish I had tried more but the meat lovers pizza and bruschetta was great. I will return to try wings and burgers. Keep up that friendly service.

Hidden gem! I stopped here on Thursday afternoon, I was with a friend. Plenty of parking with a outside party area for LIVE BAND'S! First you notice how clean the parking area are only to find yourself impressed by how spotless the windows are. You open the door and you feel comforted by the Ambulance. VERY impressive memoriability. When you realize the Hussle and Bustle is the staff and customers interacting with one another. Tables to seat yourselves and a well clean stocked table's. Amazing crafted 🍻 beer. As a native to Marion county FL, I like to try the fish meals on most menus if offered. I ordered Fish Tacos with steamed vegetables and my friend ordered the meatball plate with roasted potatoes. With the complete attention of our server Shania within seconds were enjoying a Craft beer and a flavorful Cabernet. We were encouraged to browse the different rooms and to come back for the live bands. The freshest high quality meals were ready quickly. The gourmet seasoning with absolute perfection in preparation. One of the owners Lenny was engaging with us as well as he continually added that delicate mastery to All phases of excellence. We will say that our meals were outstanding. Fair prices for exceptional meals.

Close to home. Great food. Friendly staff. Comfortable atmosphere. Good prices. Fabulous beer/cider/Ipanema choices. Highly recommend the Elderberry cider and Watermelon cider is my favorite when available. And I haven't found anything on the menu that I haven't liked. (Except mother's day mimosa)

What a find this was! Very close to the Baseline golf course. Incredible choice of beers on tap and more. The food and service were fabulous. And the decor was fun and interesting. Worth a visit for sure!

We were there yesterday for lunch -50 of us! They had the back room all set up with ice water, menus and place settings. Our server was excellent - she had our names and kept track of each of our orders. Because items are made to order, the food came out when it was ready. My lunch was hot and delicious -I tried the chicken waffle. The portions were generous and everyone at my table was very pleased. When it came time to pay our bills, our server had each one of ours separated for payment. This was one of the best lunches our group has ever had. Will definitely be back!

Coolest waitresses and chefs in the building. Props to the Smoker in the back. Those wings are to die for. Teriyaki Smoked Wings Everybody, Get you Some. I write reviews because I like to read them. I also like to cook and eat at restaurants. I travel a lot and have been everywhere. I’m honest and I’m not connected to the ownership, so 100% genuine. I won’t be gaslit by ownership for a crappy experience deserving of the negative attention. I’ll summarize and then go into detail. The pizza was 5/10. Beer 7/10. Service 2/10. Atmosphere 8/10. Hospitality 7/10. It wasn't a good value for what it was. The beer was okay, but the Big Hammock downtown has beers I liked better for flavor. Of the three beers I had here and at Hammock the same day, the ones there were just better selected for flavor. The person in charge of food and beverage at Flying Boat is either not a chef or could really use some travel to a good pizza place charging the same amount and compare their product to others. It is very reminiscent of good old bar pizza and nothing more, yet at a higher price and for the more sophisticated styling and ingredient choices on the menu, I expected more. I was really disappointed with my food. I didn’t try the other food, but anyone giving me those tiny cubed chunks of ham on my pizza and charging $17 for a small pie is not making me a happy customer. The bbq sauce was too much and too sweet. No balance. Additionally there were several other issues here that I would consider seriously unprofessional, at the very least. For food: Tiny cubes of tasteless ham that appeared to be very machine cut, likely canned pineapple (while I can’t prove that, it sure appeared really uniform and had that soaked dark appearance and texture having been cut by a machine. I usually love tap rooms, but I couldn’t find a great beer worth returning for, service, or like what I had to eat. So I just can’t say it was a good experience at all. All in all, it was very mediocre. The ambiance outdoors was the only positive aspect, but it was odd to have outdoor entertainment that wasn't accessible by the inside meaning if you sat inside and want AC in the summer (most do as not many were outside), you couldn’t hear it (so no inside speakers). The parking on the side by the entrance was extremely difficult to get in and out of. I wanted to reiterate that they really mess up pizza that could be great if using better quality ingredients. It was so disappointing! While the service began great at the bar, the main server was no where to be found, and walked right past me multiple times, dropped off a menu, never to ever return or ask if I’d like another drink. An annoying male customer came up and asked to sit with me and I said no. He informed me that the staff was talking about me. I said “oh really?” He said yes I said why? I gave them a full tip. I’ve been quiet enjoying my beer waiting for a server. He said cuz I leaned down on the wooden bench after waiting 20+ minutes without service just quiet enjoying music. The average customer in Ocala is well Over 55+. They need more comfortable outdoor seating. When your customers are of age, it’s something to think about. I’m not even over 40! I know quality because I’ve had a lot of quality food. While I can’t prove the pineapple is canned, the pizza wasn’t up to par for $17. If you want to do a comparison, go ahead and do so with a real wood oven pizza place that can get away with charging that for quality as expected. This is a beer bar with bar food. That’s all. It has ambiance outdoors, and there isn’t a lot of similar competition in the area, but someone could do a lot better. As Ocala expands, the tastes and preferences of customers does too, like it or not. It’s fair to write an honest review when you feel that you had a bad experience, and I did. It is equally important to write good ones for good experiences. If you leave feeling scammed, it isn’t entitled, it’s a way to communicate to warn others not to get the same things at least and beware they may feel the same. I’ll pay for quality. That isn’t the issue, it was the lack of quality and unprofessional waitress and gossiping in front of guests about other guests.

Great little place to not only get a great beer on tap but a surprisingly great place to get delicious food. Friendly and helpful service. Definitely be back.

We got there and we're seated immediately. The food was good, so was the service. Interesting decor It appears to be a fun place!

We went in there on a Saturday night and the place was packed. Seated four of us right away and had a host at the table within moments. Great staff. Great service. Food came so fast we were shocked. Food was awesome. We had a pizza, shrimp, burger and that's what she said sandwich. Everything was delicious and the beer selection is incredible. We will definitely go back. Unfortunately we live a hour west so won't be able to patronize the place more often. Remarkable with a definite five star rating. Loved it.

Had great experiences the first few times we visited, but the last couple visits, however, the food and service were mediocre. I have never sent a meal back at any restaurant, except for one of their pizzas. Odd, since the first few times the pizzas were terrific. Also, the side dishes leave alot to be desired. Today was another disappointment. 3 of us were there to celebrate a birthday. All 3 meals came out at different times, about 10 minutes apart, so the first 2 had cold food once the 3rd person was served. We are having a hard time justifying going back given the food prices, unpredictability of quality and the timeliness of food prep. Also, Sunday lunch time was too loud with the singer in the main room. It was hard to carry on a conversation.

Awesome food, great atmosphere, and even being as busy as they were extremely attentive. Would highly recommend the food was on point drinks never reached empty. Not a single bad thing to say.

A friend suggested we try the FBTR so off we went on an early Friday. We are not drinkers so while there was a large selection of IPA’s etc, we were there for the food. Wow! The food was fantastic. Everything was cooked to order, even my dessert cookie! The Brie Puffs were to die for. Whitefish dip was gone in a flash. I had the pulled pork plate, the ladies had the lobster pizza and they made a squid po-boy with bang bang sauce for my wing man. My only gripe is that, with the exception of a few bar stools, none of the chairs had padding. When you wait for cooked to order food, you really need some padding on the hangar stools. Just sayin.. Edit: Forgot to mention the live entertainment. Good singer & picker.

The food was great. We tried the pretzel and the bang bang shrimp for apatizers. Had the lobster and cheese pizza. Super diverse beer menu. So, many great choices for you to choose from.

Fun spot for lunch or dinner. The order in which they bring your food out is a little bit different, (they bring it out when it’s ready, so you may get your appetizer before, during or after your meal. It’s not a bad thing just different.) But everything is always fresh and yummy!

Kelcea is a great server, providing great Intel on some of the favorite beers, and she was spot on! The Banging shrimp, lobster grilled cheese and crab cakes all super delightful! A great lunch and great atmosphere 👌

My most favorite pizza in Ocala. I love the assortment of beer. The menu has a lot of fun options that aren’t on all menus in Ocala. They have a cute outdoor sitting area that usually has live music.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. What a hidden little gem. The food is outstanding. The selection of beer, the interesting menu selections and the atmosphere were phenomenal. We were traveling from out of town and came across this place and we were so happy we did. The food comes fresh out of the kitchen piping hot. We ordered the smoked wings which were outstanding. Meat fell right off the bone. I had a prime rib, grilled cheese sandwich that was out of this world. My husband had the brisket blend burger which was absolutely delish! Run, don’t walk to this place! They have live music over the weekend, too. LOVED IT!

My husband wanted to try the restaurant so bad , i decided to take him on his Birthday with our kiddos. It was our first time. Well we Sat down, we were given the menu. We were ready to order , a group of Ladies Sat down right after us we all came in about the same time, they took their order first. Well we were like ok,whatever we will be next. We were still waiting for our order to be taken another group came in. We are waiting still and the waiter walks and starts taking their order. We waited long enough we were only given water not even our drinks order were taken. We left very disappointed!! He was so excited to be there

We didn't have food, but I didn't need to know that pizza from that fired up pizza oven smelled and looked soooo delicious, would be! The Cream Cycle beer was great. There are so many awesome flavors to choose from. Most brewed in Florida, but there were a few from other states. I am looking forward to visiting again and intending to try the pizza. It's a bit pricey for the beer, but it was high quality.

I would have given them a 5 star review, except that our meals came at different times.

No wonder why this restaurant has a nearly perfect score. After dining there tonight, I see why. The menu is packed with too many options to enjoy in just one night. The pizzas coming out of the kitchen made me wish I ordered those instead of the wings.....until I got them. They are smoked, not fried. I thought, hmmmmm....not crispy. My server, Hannah, asked would I like my wings crispy. Without a fryer, I thought? They were put in the pizza oven and wow, came out very crispy. For dessert I tried the Orange Siracha cake. It was like a Creamsicle on steroids. Delicious! But only for a limited time. Other sweet offerings were different cheesecakes with the most popular being the salted caramel. Indoor and outdoor dining. Friendly atmosphere. Nice experience. Very busy for a Wednesday night. The parking lot says it all for a successful restaurant. Update: it's been a year since this review and their service speed has improved! They responded to this review which reminded me to update it. They have ewrned the 5th star 🤗 The food is exceptional! They have so many options and I love that they have an eclectic menu. I like coming here because I cannot have red sauce and they have several pizzas that have alternative bases. My husband likes trying all the different beer they have. The atmosphere is awesome, the decor is really cool and you can tell the owners put a lot of thought and personalization to the it. The people are always very kind, but the couple times we've been service has been a bit slow even when there were only a few people in the restaurant. It's not terrible, just slower than anticipated but we don't mind chilling and sipping on beer while waiting. It gets a bit busy on Sundays with football season, so sometimes it is difficult with kids being around so many people and sometimes loud football fans but thats pretty much anywhere that is playing the games, so I'd rather deal with that while eating amazing food 😊

Busy, but well worth the wait. The food was a breath of fresh air. From the Villages to Ocala, I was burnt out eating the same food. I will try one of their many craft beers on my next visit.

As one of the few pizza masters of the area I must say the pizza was top notch and absolutely delicious. The other food was good but was a little outshined by the pizza. Portions were smaller than I wanted but I guess it's nice to keep people wanting more. The beer was really good and there were so many options to choose from and the service was excellent. Definitely one of the best spots in the county.

My friend and I stopped in for lunch after playing golf at Baseline. It was recommended by the golf course, so we thought we would try it. We loved the food, and the service was great. We will be back again!

Baked brie was wonderful and creamy with fresh fruit and a raspberry jam the tater tots with queso cheese and pulled pork was crunchy and yummy. We had three different pizzas. The margarita pizza was excellent and crunchy. The vegetable pizza was good the meat pizza we thought it was a little spicy and on the dry side. They have a great selection of beers. I had the Henny it was chicken, rice, pineapple, crunchy onions, and teriyaki sauce. I loved it.

I may be a little bit biased because I know someone that works there, but the food is excellent. Very clean the service is impeccable. Their pizzas are wonderful.

Flying Boat Tap Room is an unusual dining experience but one you won't regret. Every item on the menu is prepared individually for the patron. Their decor is unusual and entertaining. TV's are mounted on the walls. Many craft beers and ales are on tap. I had BBQ pork and it was excellent. Check out their menu and try something different and unique for lunch or dinner at the Flying Boat. Parking lot is mostly gravel.

Most everything on the menu is smoked and the regular menu doesn't start until 12:30 on Sunday. Which I wasn't aware of.

Food is very good but pricey. The place was packed with people!! The waitress did the best she could.

Food is GREAT! Love the wings & the lobster grilled cheese. Would visit more, but $15 for 8 wings is bit pricey for me.

Hey Victoria, thanks for the warm welcome and the beer tasting options. This place is awesome. It's decorated nicely. The bathrooms are clean. They have live music on Fridays, Saturdays, and bottomless mimosas for brunch on Sundays! You should definitely check this place out.

Visited this great establishment yesterday. Great beer and food along with an attentive staff. The puffed pastry Brie, park bao bun, bang bang shrimp, pizza and tacos were excellent. You must visit this place.

We went two nights in a row. The truffled tots ate fabulous. Shrimp Po Boy is amazing. Last night we were in the back room and there was a MASSIVE table. They were CRAZY LOUD. my ears were ringing. But It didn't effect our service. Which was GREAT!

Definitely a cool vibe in this place. Server was quick and attentive. Food was meh. EXCEPT for the pizza super yummy and an awesome crust. I got the burger with guacamole on it and potato wedges as a side, you literally get 4 potato wedges. Our party of 8 all commented on the sparsely given sides offered with the entrees. A few people got their fried chicken sandwich and a Mahi sandwich. The chicken was either frozen and thawed then finished however they do it because it was not a freshly battered chicken sandwich. I suggest giving it a try because they have a decent craft beer menu, but i would be leery of trying anything outside of their pizzas. Other than that it's a cool spot to have a beer with friends after work

Good beer selection and fun food.

Varied menu items Manny not found anywhere else I've seen. Extremely fast and friendly service. Great first visit. The corn dip and chips has way too little actual corn. It basically tastes just like cream cheese. Do not recommend. The pizzas and hoagies were great though.

Called in to-go order because I only had a limited amount of time on my lunch break. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I arrive just after 15 minutes and am told "I forgot to call you but our lunch menu doesn't start until 12:30" . He asked I wanted to buy a beer and wait. I told him no I am on my lunch break and have no time to wait almost 15 minutes and then wait another 15 minutes for the food. He then says " oh sorry about that" and goes about his business. Guess I don't eat lunch today. 1 star isn't for the mistake but for the way it was handled.

I reviewed this location 5 days ago out of anger: I gave them a 1 star rating because of the bad day I was having, not their establishment. The owners replied back to me, in a factual way, and I’m glad they did because I would not have reflected on my review if they hadn’t. I did not get a chance to eat here but I did see the atmosphere and it’s a cute place, the menu looks very good. I plan on visiting the restaurant again the next time I’m in the area, with a more positive state of mind. I edited my initial review because my actions were not fair to the business or their employees.

I mean… I’ll start off by saying this is an 11/10. The atmosphere is phenomenal, with live music (and we came on a Thursday)… the place was packed and yet we had exceptional service. We ordered the smoked blackened wings (best Ive ever had) — the mac n cheese with pork belly on top (My absolute favorite, I will think of it when Im sad lol) — and a great smoked carne asada dish. We ended it with a perfect slice of cookie, marshmallow layer cake. I’ve traveled quite a bit and I am from Miami — the food here is truly delicious. Cannot wait to come back!!!

This place was great. I had the carne asada plate, and the flavors were awesome. The only criticism I could level was that I'd like to have the smoked meat sliced thin, the texture made it a little hard to eat. But, I would like the chimichurri in a bowl with a straw. It was not difficult to find a perfect bite on the plate. My boss had a pulled pork Sammie that vanished off his plate. I wish I had been able to get a cider, it all looked so good. next time!

The food and service are good, but the "craft beers" are yeasty and bitter and the noise level is very high. We did enjoy the fun crowd.

This is just a cool place to go. I love these kind of roadside dumps that have a tons of different beers, great pizza and other good food. Not to mention all the pleasant guys and gals running around like crazy taking good care of you. Already looking forward to my next visit.

When eating inside you will be surprised by the PanAm decor & memorabilia. When dining al fresco, you will enjoy the party lighting and music if there is a performer. The food is delish; I recommend the baked Brie. The service is good, but a bit slow as most popular spots are. Great place to go after golf at nearby Baseline golf course.

A great spot for Ocala/Belleview. The selection is amazing. We had the quesio and baked brie. Both were outstanding. The goat burger was also a great burger with quality beef and a generous portion of goat cheese. Support this place as it is a location that Ocala needs.

Moved here from NJ it has become our place to go out for dinner. Please try the restaurant you will NOT be disappointed.
