Long wait time but good food and good portions

I am a huge fan of their whole belly clams. I also don't know of any other place you can get alligator as a side, arleast in Vermont!

I only order from takeout window. Typically always busy serving good food. Picnic tables for eating on site and a small dining room of you prefer inside ordering and eating.

Out of the way but food if worth the trip.

This place has seemed to go downhill unfortunately. The food is still pretty good, the service wasn't great. And while waiting in line for ice cream they took another man behind me first. I'm not sure if they thought I had been served or what happened, but I had waited quite a while just to get ice cream. It used to be a favorite place of mine but the atmosphere has changed quite a bit I feel personally. Like a said, good food and interesting things to try, definitely a wait for your food.

Didn't expect to see this place here as I was driving along a back road. Glad to have stopped in. I don't often consume fried food, but it was a fun change of pace.

Phenomenal "snack shack" food/ seafood at really good prices.

Generally good experience tonight. A few downfalls of our experience tonight: the service was super slow and they weren’t super busy until after our order had been taken (we waited an hour for our food), the fries had cooled down by the time they got to us. Otherwise the experience was great. Just some things to take note going on a Sunday at dinner time.

The food is great! And lots of it.

I think half the state was there!! It amazes me that a small little roadside shack can be that busy..

Love the Cajun, I travel all the way from fairfield to get their food, and it's always worth it. It takes a while for the food to come, but it is always perfect

Had whole belly claim dinner and maple bacon scallops, it was very good I'm sure I will be sopping in again thanks to the staff

Last October (2022) My family and I traveled from upstate Vermont down to the coast of Maine to try their famous lobster rolls which after trying I said, “ehh”. Now today(July 2, 2023) my wife wanted to try “CAJUNS” snack bar in Lowell, Vermont. One bite into their lobster roll and I was like “WOW!”, that’s how a lobster roll should taste. I also tried their bacon wrapped scallops which were excellent as well. A note to all Vermonters wanting to get a great, tasty lobster roll, try out CAJUNS on Route 100 in Lowell, you will not be disappointed.

Well worth getting to when they are open during summer. Great fries and ad a wonderful shrimp po'boy. Fried pickles are fantastic 🤩

Food is always great. Be prepared to wait for around 30-60 minutes. It's not because there are slacking . It's just always super busy. Must be a winner 😁

This place has some very yummy food! The ice cream is great too, and they almost always have a vegan option. I'd come more often if there were more vegetarian and vegan options on the menu besides the appetizers and the veggie quesadilla. The outdoor seating area is great too. Definitely call your order in ahead of time, but also have a backup plan in place because sometimes you can't get through over the phone. We often just get the busy signal for like half an hour and just give up 🤷

Just great! Food is on the atv trails and taste awesome. The 20 minute wait was well worth it, they had lines out the door. My kids had a great time in air conditioned arcade. The staff and ownership were hospitable. We’ll be back 😁

I absolutely enjoyed my visit back home to Vermont I'm living in Florida and that's the first place I went awesome people atmosphere everything it's like a family fun Park... But you get to enjoy some outstanding food.. ✌️

if you are looking for flavor don’t come here! our first time and last time for sure. chicken tenders and fries no flavor, all you could taste was grease. cajun burger was not seasoned right, way too seasoned. and mozzarella sticks weren’t even close to the taste of what they should taste like. ALSO having 10+ staff is way too much in my opinion, especially when they’re just talking and standing around. getting my order taken and all I hear in the background is girls talking about ex’s, like okay they aren’t there to work they’re there to do what they want obviously. tables weren’t wiped down when we sat down none of them were, even other people were going up and asking for a clean table. place was well decorated otherwise like a casual snack bar.

Very busy but many hands be patient , it's worth every bite.

I was driving through the North of Vermont with my friend from Alabama thinking there was nothing around to eat when all of a sudden this Brigadoon of a snack bar gets manifested into existence in the middle of Lowell, Vt and minutes later we’re dining on Fried Alligator and Crawdad within site of Canada. Pretty sure I imagined the whole thing. 10/5 would dream it all again.

The service was great one of the best snack bars around .great seafood had the scallops and whole belly clams . Ff were great as well. Prices are reasonably. And you get plenty of food. The staff seemed very pleasant and accommodating. One of my favorite places. We dined in and we dine out as well there.

Friendly staff. I got the steak tip dinner, it’s soft but the flavor isn’t good.

I ordered the oyster Po boy but they were out so tried the crawfish one. Was fantastic. They bread the fresh..yum

Good snack bar treats and ice cream. We've had Alligator Bites, chicken and burgers. All were good. Fair price. Nice outdoor eating areas. Basketball hoops for those that want to shoot a few. Ample free parking.

We lived in Northern Vermont for 8years. We would ride the motorcycle there on weekends.

Cajun's has awesome food at a reasonable price

We really like this place and keep coming back. Its a destination for my in laws when they come visit as well. Oil is always fresh, fries are crispy and delicious. My kids were impressed with the alligator as well. The tartar sauce is very thick but delicious. I'm not a huge fan of the slaw tho, very mayonaise-y and globby and doesn't feel very fresh. We love the picnic tables and places for kids to play, my husband and FIL love playing basketball while waiting for their meal as well :) The bathroom is clean and inviting. The menu is huge and a tiny bit overwhelming but everything we've ordered from it (basically only the fried seafood) has been good. We will keep coming back

I never thought I'd be eating alligator in northern VT! I've only ever found it in Florida, so to learn it was there while visiting friends, I had to go, and it was absolutely delicious! The dipping sauce was perfect, the fries were great, and if you're a fan of "creamsicles" don't miss the orange blossom shake! Others in our party had burgers, oyster rolls and other dishes, no one was disappointed!

Great place to eat if you have time to kill. Do not eat here if your in a rush.

I have eaten here many times before in my life and they never fail to give excellent service and food. A must visit for the north country of Vermont.

Fun little fry shack on your way somewhere. Kind of pricey but worth a drop by. I ate the alligator bites They tasted like the batter. I did not finish them A lot if fried food can be a bit hard on my stomach. Still, place it super cute a.d people are friendly.

Burgers were dry. The wait was extreme. 1hr+.

I been dying to stop here for years! I hate to say the wait was worth it because it just made me wish I made the trip sooner. It was damn good, got the shrimp po'boy added my alligator bites... Fire!!

This place was slammed when I arrived. The staff was super professional and efficient. The food was great. I was bummed that they were out of the dish that I came for, but not inexpected with so many customers. Great place.

All cheap fried food. Nice staff. Interesting place. Took about 1.5 hrs to get our meals but it was Saturday nite and labor day weekend.

This place was SO GOOOOOOD. We stopped to grab a coffee around 11 and weren’t even really ready for lunch, but it smelled so good that we decided to eat early. It was an excellent decision because the food was amazing. We had the seafood platter and it was delicious- especially the clam strips. I lived in Nova Scotia for a long time and I definitely know good seafood, so it was a surprise to find such great quality and prep from a restaurant in a land-locked state haha! Don’t drive by this place. It’s absolutely worth the stop.

Mmmmmmmm great food!! It's usually pretty busy, so I've learned to call and order at least an hour to two before I want to go eat and ask them how long of a wait. By the time I do get there my food is hot and ready to eat!!

Dine in area is limited seats. They prioritize take away first than dine in customers. I guess all their foods are fried but it tastes good.they have this alligator meal which is kinda exotic if you think of it.

Very good food! It’s a long wait but personally I love the experience and the kids always have fun playing so we are completely fine with it. We are always happy

I go here every year when they're open. Amazing unique food. It's a bit of a wait give how popular it is but well worth it. The food is so good. They have nice amenities and and arcade room for kids. Fun knick knacks on the walls and merchandise to sell. And if you wanna swim there's a nearby waterfall spot. I love this place

The food has always been amazing But today when I called to order the girl was rude and snappy and then once I went and picked my food up I could tell it was the same girl by her voice and she still had an attitude and thought I was there to order so she began to tell me I would have to wait awhile because they were 45 min out. When I said I called ahead she just grabbed my food and closed the window and that was it. I also witnessed she was snappy to a coworker as well. Not sure who she is but I have heard a few people complain about her . It’s a great place to eat so hopefully This gets resolved.

Crawdads were disgusting. Little bits of meat in breading , it was all breading. Should be the whole tail not little tiny bits. But the owners should visit a real seafood state like Maine. Even the clam strip were bad..

It was a lengthy wait as they were extremely busy but well worth it. It was absolutely delicious and I would not hesitate to go again when in that area.

Waited in line for 10 mins. Finally got to the register to order and was told “sorry we are closed now” I looked at my phone and it was 8:01pm. I understand you close at 8pm but I waited in line to order before closing. Very disappointed.

Food was good service, not so much. The girl was rude when I said I didn't want to add a tip. Why would I? I did all the work but cook the food.

The shrimp was sooo fresh it snapped! Maple Bread Pudding was out of this world and the cheeseburger with pulled pork was huge and so delicious!

Try to go to this snack bar a few times during the summer. It is a top of the line snack shack for sure. The buildings are unique and perfect fit for the establishment. Plenty of seating and parking is pretty good also. NO shortage of customers whenever I go. They food is amazing and have a very diverse food menu. I also like hitting up the arcade shack with my daughter also. So yeah you got to stop and check it out!

Best whole belly clams I have ever had other then being in Maine. Will be back soon. They even brought out our order to us. So nice of the staff.

The wait was a bit long, but it's understandable considering the parking lot was full. Regardless, the food makes it worth double the wait time if necessary.

Wonderful each time we go. I come to visit out of state, and I always say this is the one place I want to go. Tried places in Burlington and St. Albans. No one matches up. It's a ways out of town, but make a day of it. You won't be disappointed!!

Who would have imagined getting a catfish Po' boy or fried gator nuggets in Lowell, VT, just a hop south of Canada? Aside from the Louisiana fare, there's your usual selection of roadside joint eats, and whole belly fried clams! It was hopping busy on the Sunday I went because it was opening day of ATV season. Hint: you can call ahead to place your order.

Always fun to go to Cajun's! It's always busy as heck but if you don't mind the wait it's totally worth it. Dine inside or out on the picnic tables. There's an arcade for the kids. The staff work so hard and are just awesome. Best hot lobster roll I've ever had!!! Extensive menu and even ice cream. Our favorite summer place and even better as it's accessible by ATV!

Visiting Vermont from Texas it was great to find a seafood restaurant as good as back home. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent.

Clean, unique establishment with great scenery in the North East Kingdom, and a massive menu. Now, let me be blunt here by saying that most of the food I've tried here isn't bad, but isn't awesome. The stars of the show, however, the fried alligator and the poutine, are absolutely brilliant, and always worth the trip alone. Now to be clear, the other food isn't bad, but it just can't compare to how delicious the alligator is. So if you're thinking about stopping by, don't miss out on some deep fried reptile meat!
