The food is very good, a little expensive but it is in the price range of Venezuelan food, my only complaint is the customer service, the cashier “Marcial” is very friendly, they should have a little more tact with their customers

You know that feeling you get of “wow! Or what the heck is in this?!” when you take a bite of something that makes your taste buds climax?! Okay well that literally happened to my husband and me when we tried these arepas and empanadas lol. We don’t always agree on how amazing food is because he’s a lot more picky than I am but we both had the same reaction with this food. I don’t know if it’s the spices in their meats, the cheese they use or the Cole slaw. Perhaps is the mayo? Whatever it is, WOW just WOW!! I’m attaching a picture of the receipt for what we ordered the first time. And the pictures are from the second time we ordered. The restaurant is one of those hole in the wall places because it’s tucked away in a corner of a small business plaza. The place is cozy, and the music volume was reasonable. It is clean, and it DOESN’T smell like fabuloso, thank goodness! It’s a great place for a date because you can actually hear each other. The decor is vibrant and they even sell food items from Venezuela, like cheese, mayo, candy and chips. 🤤 They make everything fresh because the food comes out scorching hot. I love that but some of you babies out there might need to wait a minute or two before touching the food lol. The prices feel a bit on the higher end, especially when you are feeding more than two people. However, it is worth every penny. Oh! And the info on their Apple device at checkout is all in Spanish 😊. The prices aren’t in U.S dollars in their system so it feels like you’re traveling outside of the country lol.

The food was very expensive, apart from the fact that it took a long time to deliver a soup, the atmosphere was very hot, as the air conditioners were not working, the man who attends the cashier had a very unfriendly face, not at all friendly.

I went a couple times before JUST because of how convenient it was due to being super close to my house but food is not even that good. Last time I went they treated me horribly, when I got to the counter to pay I got distracted for a second and he SLAPPED the screen for me to press a button. My food was ready before I came in and it wasn’t until someone else came for their order that the man realized my food was ready and at the counter. These people DO NOT represent Venezuelans!!

I waited too long to try this little gem of an eatery. After passing by several times, we finally stopped, and so happy we did. The Arepas were the best we had in Houston so far and the Patacon was a pleasant surprise since I am usually not a fan of plantains.

What a delight 😋 I tried a variety of things Chicken Arepa, cassava and cheese chips, fried suckling pig, Tequesta and my favorite the Tequeyoyo which for me was exactly the perfect combination of cheese, ham and banana.

Best Venezuelan cheese empanadas in Houston by far!!!! With a Super crunchy outer layer and smooth creamy inside. filled with enough cheese to make you smile for the entire day. Location is a bit hidden but totally worth the drive. It's my first stop in Houston, coming from the Loussiana ports after working with the oil ships. Long live Maracaibo! ! ! Marcial the owner-manager always with a smile will make you feel you are back at least for a moment in El Zulia. I'm left short! The cheese empanada with the garlic sauce…he who knows, knows! Excellent flavor and seasoning 10/10

The food was ok. It's overpriced for what you get and I've had better arepas at a place nearby. The atmosphere is...cold. They have many complaints about the customer service and I can understand why. I generally don't care because I'm not there to eat, not make friends, but the staff wasn't welcoming at all, making me feel a bit uncomfortable. I waited for my food outside since the inside vibe was awkward at best. I probably won't be back since this was my second visit and I've been underwhelmed both times.

Our family stopped in for dessert this evening after visiting Slinging Axes right around the corner. We couldn’t decide, so we bought an assortment of cakes, cookies and flan to take home and share. The gentleman at the counter (I am guessing the owner) was so kind and patient with all of our questions and even gave us a sample of Tequeños… omg, SO GOOD! All of the desserts we delicious 😋 We will be back soon to try more of the menu!

Awesome Latin food with Venezuelan flavor. Family owned, with great service. Hamburgers and hot dogs are a MUST with all their toppings. Feel adventurous, try the Cachapas ( fresh corn/ elote hot cakes) or the arepas or any of the empanadas (turnovers) The Sancocho (homemade soup) beef or chicken, on the weekends are great.

Well… I’m not really familiarized with Venezuelan food. It was really good to be honest, can’t remember the names. But the staff, ehmmm kinda rude, not very friendly. When we went, the person who works at the kitchen was on the phone (which isn’t bad anyways it wasn’t busy) but had an extremely bad attitude, like he didn’t want to be there or being forced to work, don’t know. When food was ready, came out and throwed the food at the counter. Maybe for some people is normal, but I have seen a few comments expressing something similar. Place looks nice, clean, etc. For the people working there, smile! Doesn’t cost a lot to be kind.
