This is absolutely my favorite place to dine while I'm in Lake Placid. The staff are always very polite and welcoming, not to mention very attentive! Everything from breakfast to dinner is absolutely delicious. I'll be back many times 🥰

They were awesome as always..chicken was perfect!

Today I sat at the bar. The bartender was very nice. I just wish she would have told me that GRILLED WHITEFISH special came with white wine butter sauce SLATHERED all over it. The fish is clearly not grilled but instead baked. No grill marks whatsoever. There were clearly more seasonings on the fish considering it was orange. Not good at all. I could not eat all the fish. The texture was almost like raw. The salad bar is better than I remember. Thank God for that. It was the only thing I completely finished.

It was good, I never been before and was expecting it to be like a buffet type Golden Corral but is the only thing that disappointed me a little. Otherwise everything was good

We have been going here regularly for 3 years now. It’s the only place in the area that has consistently good service & food. Absolutely love the salad bar .

Your manager personally screamed at us at our table over plastic black bottom and plastic top lids acting like he knew the owner saying oh these plastic containers aren't for use this is out of the goodness of my heart because the owner said it costs money. And was overheard saying our 100+ money spent on said restaurant was unneeded. In the men's washroom. Counterpoint:I fund everyone at the restaurant twice a week the 2nd visit would have covered the plastic containers costs hangup over containers with your manger to the point he had to be involved isn't my problem see counterpoint 2 Counterpoint 2:If your owner didn't want the containers with a black bottom and plastic lid top to be used he or she shouldn't have bought them then. The Styrofoam ones don't do bean sauce well. And it's not my burden as a customer they are brought to be used. Counterpoint 3:Because of your managers emotional fit, we are not coming back restaurants are a luxury good and we wanted peace and serenity not being yelled at over plastic containers we can easily cook at home peacefully we just support the business. When screamed at and having our plastic containers throw to the table in a aggressive manner we looked at him saying well we,ll just leave and we're not coming back he yelled don't threaten me! Like we were the manger and him the customer like we could've thrown him out. No not how it works and with that bizarre attitude that really encouraged us not to come back. What's really nonsensical we've been here for years and there was no issue until today at Wednesday Aug 14th 2024 Good food until your manger threw a childish fit over containers and if his attitude reflects the owner shame on you both. I will give the owner the benefit of the doubt but your manger made it quite clear our money isn't welcome back. For any customers reading this God forbid you get anything runny like soup or their beans with sauce and you want a plastic container you will be mistreated. Zero stars customer service and coperate has been called these zero stars are non negotiable. I might not have your mangers name but this incident was reported and I'm spreading word of mouth over this ridiculous treatment. My money is green anywhere.

Stopped by on our way to Hollywood, Fl, my husband, myself and our son. Was pleasantly surprised as to the service and food provided. Patricia (aka Tina) was fabulous. I think what put it over the top as for experience was the manager, Jeff. Not a dictator but an actual hands on guy. He started by taking our drink and appetizer order and said our waitress would be there shortly. The entire night we saw him play many rolls, bartender, bus boy and waitress. Loved the food and was extremely excited about the carrot cake! Awesome job, kudos, well done. Thank you!!

Wanted to try this place out during a recent visit to Lake Placid. Seen where Golden Corral was trying out a new concept restaurant and this was the only one so far. I liked the inside and decor, thought it looked good. Went during lunch, the menu was decent and the prices were fair. Got the meatloaf, which didn't blow my mind, but was just as good as any I've had before. All three of us were pleased with our meals and had leftovers to take home.

The food here was okay it advertised as a buffet and it's not. We just got the salad bar. That was very good we made a great choice in the salad bar. It was a bit pricing

Bah , pricey. Not the Same Golden Coral of a few years ago, major portion control....need a new cook. Owner obviously the reason lowend ingredients, service sometimes non- existent. Bacon reheated ..must be 2 days old or more

I get takeout usually and it's fast, but sometimes they are busy!!

Disappointed in our waitress Paige B she did everything right BUT she brought us our check in the middle of our dinner.We all were still eating..also the music they were playing was way to loud

Went for breakfast and had the breakfast buffet. Bacon is limited to 4 pieces. If you want eggs over, it is an additional cost. They have scrambled eggs, but they are substitute. The food was OK but not great. They don't really offer a breakfast menu. You have a few options. Most likely, I won't be going back for breakfast anytime soon. Their lunch and dinner menu and food are a lot better.

Not a buffet anymore but a Steakhouse style restaurant

Definitely above average food. Nice selection for Lake Placid. I know they don’t allowing sharing for buffet items, but it’s a bit much to not allow us to share a steak together that’s coming directly from the kitchen. Service is decent.

Food was good. We arrived after the breakfast buffet closed at 1030am so that was disappointing but overall it was good. Hope to try the buffet soon.

I stop here for breakfast sometimes. The food is always fresh and affordable, especially if you get there in time for the early bird special.

Edit -just went last night and the food and service remain fantastic. Pls try the fried chicken dinner, cooked perfectly. They have totally remodeled this place and took away the buffet, no thanks to covid im sure. All in all its a fresh start and worth the trip.

The ABSOLUTE worst nightmare of a dinner I have ever had. After sitting for an hour our waitress came to tell us they lost our ticket so she needed to reorder our steaks.

Breakfast buffet was definitely worth it, but there were some ups and Downs. The sausage gravy rit was great. But the biscuits maybe we're undercooked. And were kind of like stuck to the roof of your mouth. the regular hash Browns were terrible, but - brown casserole was fine. Maybe a little salty, but then there was ham in it, scrambled eggs were fine. Are cheesecake French toast was pretty good and my daughter and brother said that the quiche was great and I thought the grits were fine and my daughter loved the cheese grits. So basically probably more ups than Downs. Looking forward to going back for dinner.

Good food and service was excellent, even at a busy supper time. I ordered an 8 oz fillet. It was cooked to order and very tender. Also ordered the cajun linguine, and it was very tasty. Allie, our server was all smiles and very helpful with questions due to the huge selection menu. All fresh items on the salad bar. Price was not bad because the food was really good.

Independently owned, Order from menu steaks, burgers, sandwiches. Nice salad bar, you can make a meal out of it. The Ruben sandwich is the best i've had in a long time.

I have Celiac therefore, I must not consume gluten! We were a group of sixteen hungry seniors, we were excorted to our tables. I looked at the menu and thought "Oh, no way I'll be able to eat here!!?? I was wrong!! Our server put together a yummy meal of a great salad, and a perfectly cooked hamburger with a Gluten Free bun!! She was outstanding, I wish I had her name, she was on the ball.

What can you say, it's Golden Corral.Thought I would try the breakfast. Big mistake I will never set foot in there again.EVER !!! Cost me 15 dollars for cold potatoes and bacon that was so burnt,you couldn't eat it.Asked for more bacon,thinking it would come out better. It was the same if not worse. AND,THEY CHARGED ME EXTRA FOR IT. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO AN ENEMY.

UPDATE # 2 Came back for Easter dinner and once again we were not disappointed! The Ribeye was cooked to perfection! The service was friendly, fast and accurate! At 6 pm on a holiday, no wait for a table. But let me just say I'm glad we got there and we did, because a lot of folks were coming in as we were going out! UPDATE: This place is wonderful! Came in later on a Sunday night and they did not disappoint AGAIN! 8 oz Sirloin was fabulous! Service was stellar as usual! Just love this establishment! AWESOME experience! We love this place! Best gator tail I've EVER eaten! Staff is welcoming and friendly and the restaurant atmosphere is wonderful! Don't miss out! You'll not regret it!

We were eating, and an employee was seated at a table close to us. She was wrapping silverware, she sneezed, rubbed her nose several times with her hand, then continued to wrap silverware. She did not go wash her hands. Lost my appetite really quick.

It was my first time visiting the area. The soup and very fresh salad bar were delicious .

Yea was the only black dude there eating solo and Tina made sure of that lol- no courtesy whatso ever, but hey just my opinion!!!!! I told her she neglected me at my table she just looked at me, said "ok" and walked away-thanks for taking care of me shelby!!!! First and last time for sure!

The salad bar was pretty good. Everything my friends ordered looked good too. We had a big crowd in a small private room. Everyone was happy with the food and service. I'd go back.

This is not a Golden Corral with a buffet. Food was okay, service was not that spectacular. Parking is a problem as we had to circle a couple times to find one. Must be the only restaurant in town on a Valentine's day.

Tuesday evening 7pm not busy. 3 ribeye steaks ordered mwell and served mrare. Complained and did not want 2 of them. The other 2 were prepared to go (new). They gave the 2 returned as the (NEW) ones for replacements. The owner said don't come back and waitress said "we wouldn't be missed!" How rude and unprofessional. Word of mouth speaks for itself. I'm embarrassed for them and don't worry about us going back.

Salad bar was very fresh and tasty. I had grilled red snapper. It was delicious! Waitress was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Will go back!!

This place has phenomenal food! Everytime we go to the casino we usually stop here on the way because super yummy and good prices!

Awesome All you can eat soup & salad bar. That's all we we've had here. Excellent broccoli cheddar, & clam chowder. Husband likes the chilli. They have a full bar & great looking menu. I hear the alligator is very good here. I'll try it next time we are in Lake Placid. Clean nice restaurant. Fantastic waitress every time we have been there.

Dinner special of 12 oz. sirloin plus 5 shrimp skewer was very tasty.

We went with a group of 25 people to celebratey aunts birthday turning 85 years young. The service was excellent and the Tina & Allie did and incredible job from drinks, orders, meals and special requests. The manager Jeff checked in on our group and there was nothing but smiles and thanks for such a great food. I had the fish fry special for 9.99 on Fridays and it was so good. It was lightly breaded and tasted as good as it looked. My husband ordered the sirloin tips with mushrooms and onions and he says it's the best, melt in your mouth dish he's tasted in a long while

I tried the breakfast buffet this morning for the first time and it was delicious. Great variety. I tried a little bit of everything and I have zero complaints. I even went back for seconds. The food has so much flavor. The atmosphere here is great and the staff is very welcoming and professional. Plus our waitress was on point. I can’t wait to come back.

Sara, our server, was the best person ever. Ever. The rolls are so good, the housemate cinnamon butter was insanely good.Caesar salad was excellent. Tried gater bites for the first time. Not my favorite. But besides not being a gator fan, we will definitely go back.

People were nice. Food was terrible. Well at least mine was. I ordered the chicken parmigiana. Came with linguini. Chicken parmigiana usually comes with Angel hair pasta or spaghetti. When it showed up at my table I told the waitress I didn’t want linguini. She said that’s what it came with and I told her I would not have ordered it if I had known. But she never asked if I wanted something else instead. Just walked away. The sauce was not good at all either. I know you don’t order Italian at a steak place but I asked and she said it was excellent. It wasn’t. It was the worst chicken parmigiana I ever had. My two friends said their food was sub par as well. I would avoid this place and go to McDonald’s or Burger King.

The place was well decorated and nicely renovated. The food was mediocre, I got the Mac n burger, it was nothing special but it was only $12 so im not complaining to much! The service was not the greatest but they were a little busy. I may go back but not on a regular basis.

No longer a buffet! I'm so sad about that! Wait to be seated. Pricey! (Portions are way to small for the price). Newly renovated. Clean and cozy atmosphere. Elbow to elbow, boot to boot in the table and chair section. Booth section is a bit more roomy. Friendly staff.

Steak was not done to order. Had to be sent back to get it medium. Other order wasn't hot buy the time it was done. Over priced.

Went back to give them a second try after the first time since the remodel our food was not good the steaks were inedible , this time the appetizer came out cold so we left . The waitress was nice and was doing a good job. We will not be returning.

The price of everything other than the lunch special was high for the type and quality of food they serve. A salad bar was minimalistic and left a lot to be desired. The service was very good though.
