Great food and prices! Portions are unbelievably large!

Drive-thru takes forever. The speaker is terrible. Cannot hear the lady that barely speaks any English. Giliberto's started charging a technology fee. I won't be tipping or going back because of this stupid technology fee. The food is poorly made with cheap quality ingredients. The food is very bland and not authentic Mexican food. This is what we call fake Mexican food. The inside of the restaurant was dirty. The tables were dirty. This place has gone down hill.

Fantastic, and very cheap, food. Okay, service and okay ambiance.

I got food poisoning from this place after having the carne asada burrito. I Have been vomiting nonstop all day since eating from this place. There was also an armed cop inside for security which made me nervous about the safety of the area.

Really great Mexican food. The person at the drive up needs to work on her English. Last 4 times she has gotten the order wrong.

Tacos lack flavor, Burritos are dry, torta bread comes out soggy with very little meat. It’s a 24 hr fast food spot, so I guess there’s some give for a younger crowd. As a taco aficionado, I wasn’t impressed. Two stars.

The food has nothing to do with it, it's super dry, it doesn't taste very simple.

The food is great, and although it is my fault for going so late at night, the service and atmosphere can be a bit rough. Still. Good food is good food!

Stuff this into your face!!!! Being new to the Sioux Falls area, I was desperate to find a local Mexican eatery. Giliberto's did not disappoint. I had the carne asada tacos, which were loaded with meaty goodness. A few days later, I went for the chimichanga, which was amazing. The portions are beyond what you expect. One meal could easily feed two people, so it's budget friendly.

A phenomenal spot to experience authentic tacos! The tortillas have a buttery/fatty taste 👅 once you bite into which leaves your taste buds craving more! Top that off with a Mexican 🇲🇽 Coke on a hot day, and you’re in, “Heaven”!

Well I guess they have started closing the lobby it's 03:22. There's no signs saying lobby is closed either.

Great food and always fresh. The last few times we've visited we were given wrong items or expired salsa. When we called to let them know to check their batch, it was a little tough trying to communicate with the person answering the phone. We still love Gilbertos but check your order before you leave.

Waited 20 minutes for a burrito...got the burrito set it on my seat...the burrito was soggier than my daughters diapers...leaked through the brown paper bag in all its glory...and saturated my seat with grease and liquid. I will not ever return period.

Very good food and fast service.

Best authentic Mexican food in sioux falls SD

Placed an online order the night before for a 645am pick up time. Still ended up waiting a half hour for my food. What is the point of scheduling a pick up time if you're still having to wait. Tried calling multiple times in a day to talk to a manager but kept getting told the manager will be in later. Every time I called later the manager still was unavailable. My burritos didn't have any meat on them or the queso that I ordered but was charged for. Very disappointed.

Their food is very good, want to eat more.

Carne asada torta was pretty incredible. So was the bacon egg and cheese breakfast burrito that was freshly made to my order. Highly recommended!

I'm sure yall are understaffed or having rough times. It was rough to wait and watch as food came out the slowest I've ever seen. People were walking out or frustratedly waiting for their orders to come out a piece at a time every 10 mins and then be handed to the wrong person or taken back. The staff looked confused and unsure about everything. I waited 30 mins for a bean and cheese burrito and didn't even get the quesadilla I ordered too. I'm not mad, just concerned and hope things get better for yall.

The portions were big which is awesome but the green chili was so so. If you guys ever find yourself in Denver, make sure you go check out chubby's.

While the quality of the ingredients is undeniably great; a language barrier and the preparation of some items presented a challenge for our group. We left without some of our order and in Souix Falls going back and forth from our location took 40m! Also: don't order "Birrirra" tacos to go ANYWHERE as I have never had them prepared correctly for take-out. Maybe it's impossible 😔 If you stick to crispy tacos you be totally satisfied!

Went through drive-thru and the lady was heard to hear and took about 5 mins to take order. We waited almost 20 minutes in line for food but drove off. We weren't the only ones to drive off. Two more cars left. Slow drive thru.

The drive-thru can be a long wait if there is a line, but the food is always good.

Great breakfast burrito. I thought the price was a little high until i saw the size. Had half for breakfast and the other half for lunch.

For two tacos I paid $14.33 with a .39 cent technology fee included. The meat had no seasoning and was dry so were the tortillas. When I dug in the beans they were powder in the center like how they get when they over cooked. My opinion it’s a rip off save your money and cook at home. I had to chug a whole glass to pass the dry food. Even the limes were dry. 🍋‍🟩

Ever had a wet taco salad? I did here. Ordered off vegitaterion menu. Taco salad with potatoes???? Thin layer of pasty beans on shell bottom, tasteless rice and potatoes. Fajita burrito was terrible. Can not even identify the ingredients Nothing in it grilled. Hot lettuce, raw onions, same pasty beans, NO flavor. All food orders in our group of five very bland and so over processed.

Pulled up to Drive through and sat for over 10 minutes with O response. Decided to pull up to the window and was greeted rudely by who I assume was supposed to be running the drive through. I began ordering for the family and just after ordering one burrito the lady rudely asked “Is this all-?“ and before I could respond she would begin to read the order as if my whole family was only getting ONE burrito. I pointed at myself and my kids and said, “Well we eat food too, so we would need food as well.” I was already agitated at this point. The remainder of our night consisted of being on the toilet with diarrhea and my partner vomiting from what I assume is food poisoning. This is not my only bad experience at this location. Just the one that topped it off and made me type out this review. So here you go Gil’s, my two cents. Pinche basura food.

Delicious burritos with very generous portions.

Today was the worst experience at gilberto's besides a long wait, rude service and wrong order, instead of trying to fix my order,they proceeded to have terrible customer service, all i wanted was for them to fix my burrito, and pay for the tacos THEY didn't type in that i ordered, they where acting as if i was demanding free food.... It wasn't even busy, went inside and all their employees had poor attitude and customer service was terrible....

Just placed an order ordered two rounds of steak fries I get there they completely forget my order and the lady at the front desk was so rude for no reason at all almost as if they were in a complete rush and refused to fix our order also got a security standing there Looking like he jus hit 6 rounds of meth I wanted to snatch my money back and never come here again I left and went one block away to los arcos instead (try east side Gilberto’s)

Saw a photo of a dish that looked amazing but didn't know what it was called & when I told the guy at the drive thru he had me pull up & show the photo! I got the exact same dish as the photo & it was amazing! The guy was very kind & helped me get a taste of something new! Love this place!

The menudo was exceptional. I waited a long time in drive thru. They were very busy. I ordered menudo and 3 kinds of tacos. Shrimp tacos, tacos al carbon, and lengua tacos. Everything was exceptional. I come here on business and now this will be my regular stop during those trips. I did not expect much for Sioux Falls but it was super delicious and very authentic. Wow!!! Menudo was one of the best I have had.

Got charged for a chips and Queso and a fresas with crema but didn't receive them. Called about missing items could not connect Spent $ 60 and was missing $15 worth.

Called ordered they didn't get it they messed up the order 4 times they charged me twice and only refunded half of 1 order.

They charge 3% technology fee, which should be the cost of running a business… will not come again next time.

Listen I love you guys, but please stop forgetting to put the tortillas in the bag. Me and my partner come here a lot with working night shift and something is always missing it seems.

Open 24/7 may A@@. Been here numerous mornings and they say they are closed. This place is a joke!!!! Wake up Sioux Falls and Go support real businesses that pride themselves on good food and service. This is just a money hungry corner cutting business. But hey if you don’t follow hiring of legal citizens then why should you have to follow hours you falsely claim to have. Do the area a favor and close your doors for good.

The only food place open if I want to get food after 10 pm. The order tastes different everytime, but it's not too bad. They serve biggg portion with a very cheap price. Try flan, not the best, very sugary, but it's nice to try out.

Love the food ,but never fails when I order a bag of chips then ask for quacamolli in container I get it and it's all on top and melted cheese ,it's always the same gal... Other than that amazing and for sure you get the most for your dollar

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place.

We ate here 3 weeks ago, and it was amazing. Tonight, it was terrible. I ordered three plain steak tacos on corn tortillas with rice and beans to go. I got two, approximately 3 inch by 5 inch slabs of uncut meat on a mess of rice and beans with flour tortillas rolled up in a separate wrapper. I have a gluten allergy and was assured that the tortillas were corn. They were not. We won't be back.

Everything is smothered in guacamole when you order delivery, it doesn’t matter what it is; if it’s not a dessert, there will be soggy guacamole ruining the flavour of your food. I’ve tried their beef chimichanga, their “Carne Asada” tacos and an all of the sides. On each of my orders, they arrived half-warm, soggy and completely covered in lukewarm guac. I had to scrape it off and rewarm the food myself. I wish they’d put the guacamole on the side to avoid this and maybe switch to shredded beef for their chimichangas instead of the mush that they use as the beef option currently.

Amazing food and large portions for good prices. Gets a bit crowded if you go late night on the weekends but I love this place !

Food at Minnesota Ave location is never as good as 10th st. I ordered a burrito with a side of fries. The fries had been redropped in the fryer to reward them. Not good. They left the source am off after I paid extra. Atmosphere was loud. A pair of children were literally running and screaming the whole time. Of course the parents did nothing. Won't go back. I'll wait for the remodeling to finish on 10th st

Amazing place to get some delicious Mexican food everything I've tried is delicious

Sad to say that I'm very disappointed. It's been a few years since coming here, but I'll be honest. I love the new look. The elote was not cold but basically room temperature. I've never experienced a cold elote. We were excited to get one. My tamale meal was smothered with so much sauce and toppings that I couldn't really taste the food itself. I threw 80% of my plate in the trash. Spent $36 to toss more than 1/2 away. $6 for 2 small soda fountain drinks. SMH My son enjoyed the chicken quesadilla. But can anyone really screw that up? At least the tortillas haven't changed in size. 🤷🏽‍♀️

It's a hit or miss. The burritos are pretty good and consistent out of everything I've tried.

Never disappoints! I love this place. Simple, authentic, affordable, quick and delicious! Gilberto's serves up a great value for your buck with many tasty options. Gets a little rowdy in the early morning hours, but I and so many others appreciate the late night dining option! Highly recommend! And omg, those carrots! I dream of them!

The food was delicious!!! It did take a really long time to get our food with several others that ordered after being served before but it was worth the wait!!

I ordered food online tonight. First of all they add a convenience fee when you order online, which i could overlook if that wasn't the main issue. It gave me an eta of about 15 minutes but after I got there and let them know I was there for an online order I had to wait an additional 15 minutes. The low review is mainly for the quality of the food when i got it.Gotten food here before and enjoyed it. But this time I found a leaf hidden in my food so I wouldn't have had any way to know it was there until I bit into it. I can't think of any logical reason of how a leaf would even get in the food, so I'm not likely to return.

Carne Asada was not grilled, was chewy, and had pieces you had to spit out because you couldn't chew them. Adobada was good. Pretty good mex considering it's Iowa.

I ordered from a delivery service but my order was prepared before the estimated time. The gorditas are so bomb! I only ordered one and I wished my stomach was big enough to handle more! The tamales are very tasty! They had some spice and the perfect masa-to-filling ratio! I definitely recommend this place!

Lights were a bit bright, but its listed as fast food. Food was amazing!! Would definitely eat there again.

Best Mexican food in Sioux Falls, I've tried other food around town but they never have the cut of Meat that I like, guess who does? The portion sizes are Large and the kitchen is Quick. Opened 24/7, even on Thanksgiving! Pipe burst at home this year and they were the ONLY place open. Reliable and Authentic year round. I like their Carnitas and Lengua, top 2 Wife gets Chile relleno and or a Conga burrito. Steak Super fries are HUGE and good for sharing.

I appreciate the vegetarian options. The food was excellent and affordable. The service was great: friendly and fun. I'm so glad my friends introduced me to this place. I'm eager to take friends and family here when I'm in Sioux Falls again.

They mix raw chicken guts with pork meat. This is what we found in our tamales. And when we brought this to the lady's attention. She tried saying that it's the front of the pork. Whatever that is. I know what chicken guts are. Because a guy that works for me orders chicken got tacos from there. My girlfriend was disgusted by this. I wanted something different. The lady in charge did not want to exchange or give us our money back. We left without eating or getting our money back. Not only was it disgusting. But the lady was rude. I will never eat there again nor will my girlfriend.

These are the best fast food tacos EVER. Don't go to Taco Bell, go here instead. You will not regret it. I promise. Highly recommend the chicken tacos. They are "scrape the pate to get every last bit" good.

Passing through from Kansas to North Dakota. I specifically was looking for gorditas and menudo. I found this place and food is outstanding and delicious.. they have authentic Mexican food and it's cheap..😊

Great spot to hit after a night downtown, after a late shift, or any time you're in the mood for good Mexican food. The burritos looked incredible, but I had to stay awake to drive a few more hours, so I went with the taco platter (asada) instead. Don't forget to get carrots and salsa while you wait for them to bring your order out.

Definitely got what I paid for when it comes to Jalapeños.. cook put 2 Whole sliced up Peppers in 1 burrito.. so spicy I almost could’ve died but I stopped and picked them off.
