Does cinnamon buns in half moons are excellent.

I ordered a Birthday cake for my Grandson at the last minute. When I called around 7:30 am to check if they had cake for that day, I was told yes by a very friendly young Lady. I asked for a football cake that was a big hit with my 11 yr old Grandson. The person who decorated his cake did an AMAZING JOB. I couldn't have been more pleased. So I Thank the Decorator and the girl who answered the phone for both doing a great job. It was much appreciated!!!

Definitely worth the drive. When the "H" bakery went corporate it lost something, the Gingerbread replaced it. The iconic white frosting is ridiculously good. Utica's legendary half moons are still small batch made by the Gingerbread Bake shop!

Went this morning for "fresh" baked goods. Well they weren't fresh at all and a bit stale. Last visit for me. They used to be really good I don't know what happened. Limited offerings and not so good anymore.

When I travel into Utica one of my first stops is Gingerbread Bake Shop. The halfmoons are like what I remember when I was a kid. Just amazing!

Gingerbread bake shop is the best bakery in Oneida County. They have the best cakes, icing, and half moons. We connected with Jaime to get a cake baked for our wedding. It came out beautiful! We went with layers of raspberry and lemon cake with raspberry cream and buttercream icing. It was absolutely delicious. They don’t use artificial coloring which is a plus! I HIGHLY recommend Gingerbread Bake Shop for all baked goods and beautiful wedding cakes.

Best doughnuts ... Hands down!! Almost didn't get any because they only take cash or checks. In today's electronic age I admit to carrying very little or no cash. Fortunately I do keep one check tucked away ... I wish there was a sign on the door, but I may have missed it.

They have the best doughnuts that I ever taste the way Hemstroughts Bakery use to taste like 35 yrs ago "delicious" if possible I think that you should open another bakery downtown Utica when the new hospital opens up there's no competition downtown at all

Great half moons! They still don't take credit cards, so only go if you have cash in your pocket. Probably could double their business if they could fix that (or at least I would get twice as much).

Best Half-Moons in New Hartford/Utica area period. They may not be the original, but they far surpass the original. The key is the cake part of the half moon. Super soft/moist....like devils food cake....not that chewy cookie like texture. Chocolate chip cookies are amazing as well.

Donuts are great. Staff is friendly. Dinner rolls (snowflake rolls) are amazing for Christmas or Thanksgiving or any holiday really! Highly recommend. Get there early in the morning to get a good pick of donuts, they go fast.

The half moons here aren’t overly sugary or dry and cakey like those from other, higher-volume area bakeries. And they taste the most like the original Hemstrought’s half moon—-unlike the ones now sold under the Hemstrought’s “brand”. Gingerbread Bake Shop is highly recommended.

Got there around 1:15pm. The two women behind the counter were friendly. Don't know if they had a larger selection earlier but they only had 7 items when we got there. The items were good but I wouldn't say any better than elsewhere.

An absolute gem, the BEST BAKERY, the BEST HALFMOONS as well, second to NONE. Great fast service, order ahead of time, and cash only. Best baked goods especially around holidays, and the snowflake rolls are amazing as well. Nothing but great things to say about this bakery.

The shortbread cookies are amazing! A must stop for the holidays.
