What a find! We were in Connecticut for the Elephant Flea… from the outside you knew it was going to be good, modern exterior and manicured foliage. As soon as we entered we were greeted with a smile. A table by the window was perfect overlooking the water. The food didn’t disappoint- shaskshuka and the mushroom fritada - visually appealing with micro herbs, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Fantastic!!

Hidden gem overlooking the Housatonic River. Sunday brunch. Seriously amazing food and reasonably priced. Definitely heading back for their dinner menu.

It is an incredible local joint with lovely people at the helm, an excellent cocktail list, and some fabulous dishes on the menu. Our favorite is the larb with walnuts; it was a discovery, but now one of the many reasons we keep coming back.

Delicious food, the honey butter with pita is to die for. The crushed cucumber side is moreish. We went for lunch, decor is a bit more evening scene but very nice and clean. Will definitely go again.

Best meal I’ve had in a while! The duck breast was cooked perfectly and its flavours were very well balanced by the bok choy and potato gnocchi. The scallops with cheddar grits was a creative take on a southern classic and was also excellent. Dessert did not disappoint either—we got the ginger semifreddo and the matcha mousse. Thank you for such an amazing meal!

Great Place with excellent food. This is a great a little gem to go to. We were warmly greeted at the front door by Edward and seated immediately. Our server Nikole, was attentive and professional. The space is warm, inviting, very clean and neat. Our dinner our was well proportioned, delicious and well plated. We are looking forward to going back.

Good Eats is a true gem. The menu is spot on with interesting, perfectly executed takes on classics and something for everyone. The food and cocktails are consistently great. The service is warm and friendly. And the restaurant itself has a cozy upscale vibe. All that said, we love the bar and Brian is always up for sharing new libations that will make you very happy. I can’t say enough about this place. We are just lucky to have it here in New Milford.

Had dinner last night with my wife and friends. Have been there before and the food has been good. Last night the appetizer’s we shared were very good. My entree however was awful. The Pappardelle Pasta tasted as if the top of the salt shaker came off while shaking it over the dish. It was also swimming in greasy oil. I ate the some of the chicken and left the rest. Yes, I should have sent it back.

Reopened a closed restaurant and really kicked it up a notch or two. Great menu with plenty apps and other small plates. The drinks 🍸 are also made with fresh ideas and are excellent. Update 6/2/24. Had one of the best meals ever.

This is a go-to place for hubby and me. The food is always high quality and delicious. The flavors are often complex… a delight for all the foodies out there. Drinks are just as awesome and inventive as the food. The burrata is always a hit as is the sticky toffee pudding for desert.

They finally did it here! The first restaurant in this location that has not only survived, but has managed to create a totally unique food and dining experience, 10/10 across the board!!!

You would expect more food for the cost. Food is not worth the price paid. Sadly will not return. Was hoping for more but got way less.

For a special occasion we chose Good Eats last night. Wow, this restaurant lived up to and surpassed its billing. Inventive cocktails, great apps, and the entrees were simply amazing. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. I travel extensively and eat out more often than most. By far, this was the best meal (all four of us agreed) in a long long time. Kudos to the staff. You don’t need a special occasion to dine here, JUST GO.

Had a great experience here. Chef combined flavors well for an excellent meal. Staff was friendly and attentive, I appreciate hard working people. Nicely decorated restaurant in a great location on the river. Conveniently located on route 7 and next to the New Milford River trail for an after dinner walk after moving the car to the river trail parking area. Wonderful experience overall.

We had a outstanding brunch at Good Eats today! The menu is eclectic, different flavors coming together beautifully. The service as excellent and friendly and we just loved the decor! We will be back.

Good Eats is a wonderful experience. Starting with the simplistic elegance, just sets the tone. The menu has such culinary artistry. I ordered the hamburger. Best burger on record!!! The layers of flavor’s was amazing, and the meat was cooked to perfection. The only regret I had was I was too full for dessert. Definitely next time in my travels.

Took a chance on a Sunday drive by. My only suggestion is that the restaurant be renamed “Really, really good eats.” Great food, service, atmosphere, and nice live music. Perfect place to bring friends or celebrate a special occasion.

Wow! Good Eats is absolutely wonderful. Had an exceptional lunch today- the plating was beautiful, portions were generous, and the flavors were exceptional. Our meal started with beautiful cocktails. I am very picky about my drinks and can confidently say they served the best margarita I have ever had. The Temptation cocktail was also very delicious! Although everything we ordered was delicious, the burrata was one of my favorites (served with grilled apples and topped with toasted pine nuts). The sticky toffee pudding was also a gem of a dessert. I could go on and on about the quality and creativity behind the food. My meal was cooked perfectly and the sides were great. The environment in chic but still welcoming. Service was very attentive and kind. I can't wait to go back!

The new menu is amazing! We had a great dinner and loved the mushroom appetizer and the “scotched” egg appetizer! And the tuna entree was to die for — as was the pork belly. Good Eats is by far one of our favorites to keep coming back to. And the staff is the best in town!

What a great and beautiful place to dine in, the place overlooking the river and the interior decor is so beautiful and suiting. Our lunch was delicious! And Brian was great attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place. We had an amazing experience. Check it out if you’re visiting the Kent falls state park or just passing through CT.

Went here today for lunch, for the first time with some friends. The atmosphere was so beautiful and had a cozy feel to it, while still feeling bright and open with their nice windows looking out to the water. The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Everything tasted so fresh and was cooked perfectly! The chef came out to greet us, and he was so knowledgeable and very kind! I left feeling just the right amount of full. Also, the drinks were probably the best drinks I’ve ever had, so fresh and just made very well. I highly recommended Good Eats!

My first experience here for my birthday was lovely. I tried muscles for the first time, their dish was delicious with the coconut curry sauce. I also tried the braised short rib dish on a bed of risotto which was also delicious. I will say that I am someone that doesn't normally finish their plates, but I ate and enjoyed every last bite! I enjoyed it so much I went a second time a week later with my father, and we both enjoyed our food the second time as well- I especially love that they change the menu up frequently, not many places experiment which is also a plus for those wanting to try something new each time.

Chef Kevin makes the most delicious food. The bartender is creative mixologist and if you like beer there are variety of styles to choose.

When Good Eats opened I was so excited to have a great restaurant local. They have exceeded my expectations every time I've been there. The food is excellent and craft cocktails even better! I have tended bar on and off for a long time so a great drink is super important to me! and I LOVE the creativity of the food menu!

First rate food attentive but not overbearing service. Best lamb chops I've ever had served with Asian Ratatouille that was killer. Nice wine and beer list not huge but well curated. Was shocked and pleased to see Maine Lunch on tap. Quite a rarity.

My fiancé and I came in for dinner on Valentine’s Day. There was a beautiful instrumental band in the background setting a nice ambiance. The food was EXCELLENT. Would recommend to anyone, the dishes are great portions and very tasty. I got the Miso Pasta 👌 and she got the Short Rib Risotto!

I wish I could rave but left a little disappointed. $22 burger was frozen, not from fresh ground, and grizzly. Kimchi topping was excellent and I liked the sundried tomatoes. Our waitress,although very nice,forgot to place our appetizer order and our first found of coffee was lukewarm at best. Waitress was happy to brew a fresh pot and apologetic. The place was clean and very nice river view. Sorry to say, probably won't return

They label their burger as “gluten free” which is very misleading. It comes WITHOUT A BUN! Wish they would have explained that, or even better had gluten free bread options.

Cozy little place serving delicious food and well-made cocktails. We had the special trout appetizer that was served pate style with chips and vegetables. I ordered the bangers and mash while my wife opted for the salmon. For dessert, we ordered the sticky toffee pudding. Everything was delicious and filling. Great place for a date night. Certainly worth a visit, or two.

This place is incredible. I’m writing this review before I even finish my meal. Good Eats is easily the best food I’ve had in the New Milford area since moving here in 2019. The service was great and the food was amazing. I can’t express enough how much I enjoyed it.

Absolutely phenomenal place! You would never expect it driving by, but the moment we walked in, we were greeted by such a friendly host. Extremely polite and accommodating. Every bite of food was an explosion of flavors in my mouth. Beautiful presentation and the flavor creations of each entree were out of this world! Out of the 4 dishes we had, plus mocktail and cocktail, there was not one hiccup. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Perfection! Food network will be knocking on their door…

A great place. I have visited a few times now and every time we had gad good service and great food and drinks. A small menu, but it is all good.

Absolutely amazing food, both taste and presentation are exquisite, no matter what you order! On this occasion I had the specials, mushroom soup and seared rainbow trout with bok choy grilled scallions and potato. Hat's off to the chef!Nice atmosphere, they adjust the music volume based on the volume in the dining room so you don't have to shout over the music to have a conversation. Little things like that make a huge difference to the experience. It does get a little echoey when the dining room is full and everyone is talking, but that's not a restaurant issue that's a building construction issue. The service was also perfect, checking in enough times to make sure we didn't need anything but not too many times to interrupt our dinner. It is now our go to special occasion restaurant.

Wow, what a delightful surprise! It was my 1st time dining at Good Eats... The Food was Delicious! Service was great! And the Atmosphere was so inviting!!

We went for Saturday dinner and unfortunately were not impressed with the dishes. Understand before you go here that the portions are small. We had the lamb and the coconut seafood medley (can't remember the name of the dish) and although the presentation of the food was phenomenal the seafood medley was lacking in flavor and the scallops were over cooked. The lamb was cooked superbly but the Asian style Ratatouille didn't pair with the lamb and was lacking. We started with the burrata and it was very tasty. Such a nice atmosphere inside with a view of the river. The staff was extremely helpful and very polite. It's definitely not what I was expecting as the menu was more of a Thai fusion. It was a great environment to dine but the food was lacking in flavor.

Me and my mom went for lunch this Thursday. Everything about the food was very good, smaller portioned. Very expensive, yet worth the price. Everything was very flavorful. The one thing I will say is that there are not many options for food, and there could definitely be more vegetarian and vegan options. Worth checking out though for sure!!

Honestly, this is the most fabulous food since I took a first bite in Paris. Unique flavors and prepared to perfection. We can't wait to go back again. Delightful owner also.

An imaginative menu containing so many perfectly matched flavours. Presentation of the food was exceptional too. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, you simply must dine here to experience it for yourself!

BEST RESTAURANT IN CT! Hands down! Wow our first time here, AMAZING food, owner was fantastic, the best service you can get, the atmosphere was very cozy & absolutely beautiful, the view of the river put back was so relaxing & gorgeous being fall. Literally cannot say enough good about this restaurant. We are big foodies and no restaurant is better, we travel the country eating and he definitely has a fantastic place. Bring my sister(US Marine 23 yrs) back with us in a few weeks. Drinks, appetizers, main courses & dessert were 5*!!! Keep up the good work, THANK YOU to the owner! We will definitely be back many times.

Update: Good Eats is still exactly what this area needs and has to support. The food remains terrific…but the beverage program has reached a new level. Wonderful cocktails, seasonally inspired, are complementing the great food. Come in for a “By the Fire”, stay for the food. Terrific is an understatement.

I've had the pleasure of dining at Good Eats three times now, and can't believe I haven't written a review sooner -- I was blown away, each time! The new menu showcases the chef's talent for balanced, thoughtful flavors, fresh ingredients, and creativity. Not only are individual components of a plate delicious, but the composition of flavors as a whole truly sets this food apart from your average restaurant. Everything on the plate belongs there -- please, no modifications or substitutions -- enjoy it as the chef intended and you won't be disappointed! My party enjoyed the grilled asparagus, tikka meatballs, and crispy shrimp, to start. The meatballs were flavorful and tender -- meaty, but soft, and without the feeling of filler, like many places. The tikka was warmly spiced and tomato-y, and the yogurt sauce to drizzle over each bite was tangy, and fun to eat. They are the perfect fall appetizer. My guests ordered the miso pasta and the lamb as their entrees and I had the tom kai pla. Pasta? Amazing. Lamb? Perfectly cooked. But my god the tom kai pla. (Coconut broth, scallops, shrimp, mussels, cod, carrot, tomato, cilantro, scallion.) This dish was a powerhouse of flavor, without overshadowing the delicate seafood, which was perfectly cooked. I even took home the last three tablespoons of broth and a few mussels because I couldn't bear the idea of not enjoying every last bite. Although the flavors described on the menu may sound bold to the non-adventurous eater, they are delightfully nuanced and accessible to all. The food always arrives at the perfect time, with the correct setting, and piping hot. We tend to be the diners that talk, take our time, order another round of cocktails, and entirely lose our sense of time when truly enjoying ourselves. We were so caught up in the delicious food, concierge-like service, and spectacular cocktails that we long overstayed our 8:00PM reservation. Many thanks to the unparalleled hospitality of the Good Eats staff for making us feel welcome. I will continue to travel the hour from NY to dine here! Please, make a reservation here while you can get it. I expect awards, accolades, articles, and full reservation books in this chef's -- and this restaurant's -- future!

Having been to many establishments in the New Milford area, my family and I were more than pleasantly surprised with Good Eats! Our food was delicious, the service was excellent, and we will be back.

Just met Edward the owner. This place is quite busy and the menu is an expansive and unusual one. They are very accommodating. On a Friday night when the place was incredibly busy, Edward went above and beyond and even provided a drink on the house for the minor inconvenience of a busy house. I'd thoroughly reccomend this place, and will absolutely be back.

Such a fantastic restaurant! The atmosphere is beautiful, the food was great from appetizers to dessert. The owner greeted us and then asked us how our meals were, he was so kind and attentive! Our waitress was very kind. We enjoyed each meal and our drinks. Will definitely be returning!

Great food and staff! An awesome place by the river with a cozy atmosphere. There's a separate bar area so it's not too loud in the dining room. Shout out to the swordfish tacos!! Tomato/jalapeno jam for the burgers was flavourful without being overly spicy. Attentive and friendly staff! I think this would be a great place for a romantic dinner while the snow flies outside or lunch while leaf peeping :)

I wish I had taken more photos of the food but it was just too good not to dig in. Every dish was absolutely delicious. Out whole table was sharing between each other! The atmosphere was moody and comfortable for a nice date night or any celebration!

We always drive by Good Eats and say we need to try that place, well tonight was finally the night. We walked into the restaurant with our three kids in tow and were immediately greeted. We were seated almost instantly and the staff was so sweet and kind. Walking into any place with three small children can be enough to scare anyone but this restaurant was not phased at all. They quickly grabbed a high chair for my one year old. Crayons and activity sheets for my two older boys. First, I just want to say how beautiful the restaurant is and how much I loved the atmosphere. We sat in the back room where there is a stone fireplace, exposed wood beams on the ceilings, rustic chandeliers. Very rustic chic!! Even the bathrooms were beautifully decorated. My husband even snapped a picture of the candle so I can order some for home. Lol Now let's talk about the food and drinks! My husband had the Litchfield Pop, Green Hornet, and Espresso Martini. I had a mocktail, Citrus Oasis. I'm not a drinker so this was perfect for me. The right amount of sour, a real palette cleanser. My husband said all of his drinks were great but the Green Hornet was his favorite. The food was excellent!! We had the grilled shrimp for an appetizer and I am so bummed I didn't get a picture when it arrived. I only took a pic after we were almost done. The shrimp are HUGE and were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Our entrees were out of this world. My husband had the roast chicken, I had the bucatini pasta with chicken; my boys had the mac and cheese and the grilled chicken with french fries. This was the best dinner we've had out in a very long time! It was fresh and delicious. Dessert was even better! I had the sticky toffee pudding and holy cow! The taste was unreal. The flavors of toffee and caramel and some vanilla gelato, absolutely delicious!! My husband had the lemon posset, it was like a lemon custard with a raspberry topping. I tried it and it was so good and I don't even like raspberries. The boys had vanilla and chocolate gelato. The chocolate was a big hit because it had chunks of chocolate throughout. I've already mentioned how great the atmosphere and the food was but the service was even better!!!! Our waitress was amazing. I believe her name is Saoirse. She checked in on our table quite often even with the back room fully packed. She was such a delight and provided great recommendations when we asked about dessert. We loved everything about Good Eats, we will definitely be back and I highly recommend it.

This is the best kept secret in Litchfield County. I've invited many of my friends here for special occassions and we've never been disappointed. Edward always makes us feel welcomed and like old friends. And has always gone above and beyond to help us celebrate our special occasions. The food is incredible.

First time visit, for a special occasion. There's a very attractive bar, and the bartender is excellent. I enjoyed the "cocktail #1" which was creative and delicious. The food was great, as was the service. The menu was compact and inviting, and looked as if it would change frequently to suit the chef's taste. (I dislike menus with too many choices) It wasn't too busy at the off time that I visited, and the host offered special attention which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Good eats, no Great eats! Amazing appetizers, my favorite was the tomato tart but the street fries were worth the trip. The crusted scallops entree was outstanding and we couldn’t leave without the homemade amaretto spumoni dessert.

The food was DELICIOUS, the atmosphere was lovely, and the server was great. The food was pretty pricey, but I left feeling full and satisfied. The food definitely made it a new favorite spot, but the price dictates that it'll just be for special occasions.

just had dinner there on a Sat night with friends. Food and services was fantastic, noise was INTOLERABLE!! Management must make some simple changes, workers are in danger probably over 100 Db in noise, our ears hurt when we exited.
