We went to Gracie’s to celebrate our anniversary. We had an OUTSTANDING experience! The food was excellent, from start to finish (which is rare in our opinion with many restaurants). They brought us a little sparkling wine for toasting and also had a card on the table wishing us Happy Anniversary! Very nice touches. The focaccia was soft and the herb butter a beautiful match. Eli was our waiter and provided exceptional service. He was very patient as we tried to decide which wine to pair with each dish. We both liked the wines he recommended. The foie gras was melt-in-your-mouth yummy and beautifully prepared. The duck was some of the best I’ve ever had. My partner loved his gnocchi appetizer and halibut. The rum raisin ice cream and thin layer of carrot cake on the bottom beautifully complimented the goat cheese cake. Eli brought us little choc chip cookies at the end and even those were buttery and yummy. Thank you Gracie’s for making our anniversary so memorable. We look forward to returning!

Incredible food. Any single bite you get from this restaurant is by itself incredible. I had the pleasure of having a wedding dinner hosted by Gracie's and every guest mentioned just how good the food was and the atmosphere. But let's talk about the staff Maria and Jaimee are incredible. They made a stressful day feel easy. Once I walked in, they made the decision fatigue melt away. They helped us with everything, even setting up our wedding cake. The rest of the staff was just as attentive and kind. Like seriously, kind human beings who you are just happy to be around. Thank you so much, I will be back!

We haven' been here in a while and decided to go with their 7 course tasting menu and the premium wine accompaniment. The courses were nicely prepared and showed some culinary flare and the matching wines were generally delightful with one rare exception which one can attribute to taste preference. The service was very good and the sommelier was engaging and very knowledgeable. The dining room is compact and has a pleasant subdued decor and thankfully the restaurant refrains from the raucous, obnoxious, conversation killing music and noise levels that seem o have swept the tone deaf dining scene. This is an expensive option, but i was a celebration and worh it.

Really just a trash establishment. They just can never cook anything correctly. I'm not sure what the chefs are doing besides cooking food into oblivion.

Stopped in for a glass of wine prior to a dinner reservation elsewhere. There were three of us who sat at the bar and each ordered one glass of wine. Upon receipt of the bill, was surprised to see a “teamshare” charge that was 22% of the bill. This was explained on the receipt as supporting a living wage for salaried employees. I am all for equal and fair pay, however, this was not made known to us prior to receipt of the bill. Additionally, if staff are not paid a livable wage, that should be dealt with by restaurant management (e.g., higher menu prices, distribution of pay between management and staff?). Twenty two percent on three glasses of wine resulted in a $60 bill, however the service received did not equal a 22% tip and the whole situation left us feeling uncomfortable. I don’t want staff to be paid unfairly, but it felt unfair for it to be passed on directly to the consumer of a glass of wine

service was absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere was great! however, the food fell just a bit short of perfection for me. was still delicious, just maybe not as good as i would expect for the price.

Ash and the team couldn't have been more professional, and relaxed at the same time. Service was spot on, Ash was adorable. Food was superior, the kitchen didn't miss a beat. Temperature, plating, seasoning.....I couldn't name a flaw. Wine was selected from around the world, and Ash made their story come alive. It was a very memorable evening. Thank you Gracie's!

A truly fine dining experience - high attention to details is every aspect: service, atmosphere (wonderfully not too crowded or noisy), and of course the food which was made to perfection and provided an absolutely great experience.

The 7 course tasting menu and wine pairing were awesome!

My boyfriend and I ordered the 5 course meal with one of us getting the wine pairing. The service was absolutely incredible and the atmosphere was so beautiful. My only concern was my boyfriend and I left the 5 course meal still hungry. We paid $200 each for the meal and left unsatisfied because we were not full. The food tasted good, but if you're spending that much on a meal, you shouldn't have to worry about whether you will be full after. We went to Wendys on the way home and processed that we spent $200 EACH on that meal. Again, great service and beautiful restaurant but the portions were very small.

My boyfriend and I came here for a celebratory dinner a couple night ago. We were blown away. The food and service were out of this world! I would especially like to give a shout out to our waitress Carolyn Manera. She was amazing. Very knowledgeable about all of the food and drink. Very friendly and funny as well.

A wonderful restaurant. Everything was perfect.

We had the potatoe gnocchi, which was delicious! The sea scallops were out of this world! I wish their menu had more seafood options. Unfortunately, the sticky toffee dessert was very dry and not tasty.

Came here for the first time for our anniversary. We're not fancy people, but this is cuisine made very approachable. We had the chef's tasting menu and there wasn't a dish I didn't like. My husband was making starry eyes over a parsnip!! Stellar food, service and atmosphere, worth every penny.

Went here while living in providence and return once a year. 2024, returned. Salads were not the greatest, overdressed. Scallops were perfect.

Place is going downhill. Waited 45 minutes for our table last weekend only to walk in to half full dining room? I mean. Smug, insincere host. Barely any bourbon. Old fashioned tasted terrible. Food was very good (though searing a piece foie gras isn't that difficult), but not as good as it used to be. Waiter was a nice kid, worked hard. Will find another high-end place.

The food was delicious. Limited number of beers. Cocktails were nice but like the beers- limited. We went in pre-show (730 at PPAC ). The 545 reservation was not adequate! Drinks took almost 30 minutes to bring out. Salads came out pretty quickly but dinners were served at 710! We had just about 10 minutes to literally throw down our meal. This was a bday celebration- so as the organizer I was stressed out most of the evening watching the time tick down. Gracie’s is a popular pre-show restaurant so should be able to handle a table of 8 and get us to the show in 90 minutes. And then an automatic 22% service charge on the bill?!!! What? Is this a joke? Be warned.

For a restaurant of this caliber, valet service would be expected. Menu is slightly confusing, thank goodness our waitress who had the patience to explain it throughly. Do not sit by the windows, especially in the winter months as it does get quite chilly. Other than those small hiccups, our experience was enjoyable!

We come here every year for the 7-course with wine pairing for our wedding anniversary. The food is exceptional as well as the service. We can’t imagine going to any other romantic restaurant to celebrate. Thank you for always a wonderful time!

Gracie's never disappoints; the food is superb with every dish having distinct flavors and presentation. The entire staff makes sure from the minute you walk in and when you leave you are treated as special, doing everything to ensure you are having a wonderful experience. Going to Gracie's is a commitment to fine dining.

Food and service was amazing- but because of the extra 22% they put on each bill which doesn't include gratuity makes this a very expensive restaurant. It almost makes it too lofty of a price point to be a restaurant that you can frequent more than a very special occasion.

Tasting and wine pairing was incredible! We were confused by the teamshare model, and ultimately tipped on top of that because it seemed the teamshare was not given to the waitstaff. Still unsure if this was correct, and wish Gracie’s would simply pay their staff what is deserved rather than charging customers. This put our already expensive bill over the edge and left a bad impression ending our meal.

This was the best dining experience of my life. We had a 7 course wine tasting chef’s choice dinner of which was catered to me being a pescatarian. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable on the wines and answered any questions we had confidently. I will definitely be going back and treating my friends to this experience!

Went to Gracie's for the first time as a birthday celebration. Did the five course tasting menu and each dish was phenomenal. We elected to pair a wine with each course and the experience was top notch. I'd recommend to anyone as the food, ambiance and overall experience was the best.

An excellent experience. You can expect a classy experience with a soft and respectful atmosphere. Although it could get loud at times, it wasn’t disruptive to the experience. Our seven course meal was delightful and had all the elements you could expect, plus some creative additions for our members of the party with dietary restrictions who got modified or sometimes entirely different meals. As you might expect, the opening bread was absolutely scrumptious and the dishes were delights. My favorite was the soft and pillowy seared gnochi that was salted to perfection. In addition, the wine course was well paired and varied, allowing a taste of different profiles that was sure to have one you could like. If you’re looking for a pleasant fine dining experience with affable staff and good food, I encourage you to try Gracie’s.

Our standards are obviously pretty high when it comes to restaurants but Gracie’s exceeded our expectations in multiple way. The place is beautifully decorated and it creates a calm environment unlike many other upscale restaurants who cramp tables into small spaces so you end up in a loud and uncomfortable setting. The service personnel was top notch and extremely knowledgeable from both the food but especially the beverage side. They were able to pair wines with our food without having to call an over the top sommelier. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. So in summary an incredible experience and we will definitely come back. Keep up the awesome work!

Much like other restaurants, Gracie’s service has been affected by the mostly young and early in their career staff that they’ve hired. The food continues to be a highlight. However, I would say that the value has significantly changed over the years and the concept of a service charge but not gratuity continues to be confusing. Finally, I would say that given the lengths that they go to in order to curate an elevated experience, the fact that multiple people on a Saturday night at 7 PM were wearing jeans, T-shirts and sneakers, or some sort of tracksuit, really changes how others who view this is as a special occasion may perceive the ambience. I asked the hostess, whether there was any kind of dress code, and she, with indignation and perhaps, a little bit of judgment, exclaimed that people should come, as they are and feel comfortable here. No one is saying that people should be turned away based on what they’re wearing but certainly Gracie’s has an opportunity to guide their customers to at least appear as if they didn’t just roll out of bed and decide to drop $400 on a meal since it certainly changes the experience for those of us who think this is a special place to go. It will likely be a long while before I decide to return. 

Service was impecable. Food was beautiful and varied. They accommodated gluten free-even served GF bread and pasta which was a treat. It was expensive but a good value. My only complaint is that it was difficult to hear the waitress explain the wine pairings. The wine itself was a wonderful and unique variety, each one was different from the other and something I wouldn't have tried on my own. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great place to celebrate a special occasion. The service is outstanding. The food is thoughtful, beautifully plated and most important delicious. We had the 5 course Chef's Tasting menu, an outstanding value at $100 during Providence restaurant week. The Crescent Farms Duck stole the show.

A fantastic restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive and polite. I highly recommend the Russet Potato Gnocchi as a first course. We cannot wait to go back.

The 5 course tasting menu was perfect for our anniversary dinner. The little extra touches, like a card on the table and a complimentary toast were appreciated. We especially loved the duck and fish dishes. The only dish we did not love was the raw bay scallops, since raw seafood is a bit too adventurous for us. Service was exceptional.

Our first visit to Providence since pre-Covid, and Gracie’s remains excellent in every way, a total pleasure. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient service, outstanding, flavorful food. One of our favorite restaurants in the world. Just a great dining experience.

The food and service is amazing I would go back again without thinking twice. My only issue is they automatically apply a tip to the bill. I don’t have an issue with tipping and I know when I go to a nice place like this that 20% is probably not going to cut it because the service is that great but I guess I just don’t like being told what to tip. That’s why I gave the value a 4 not a 5. (I also tipped additional so don’t come at me calling me cheap)

Gracie’s never fails to impress, no matter what season you choose to dine in. The menu options are always fantastic, but the 7-course chef’s tasting is the way to go. The best spot for a special occasion or date night!

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had! We did the 5 course chef’s tasting for my Dad’s 70th birthday and it was simply outstanding - the food, the service, the wine. I’d highly recommend for any foodie who isn’t afraid to put your choices in the chef’s hands

We had our anniversary dinner at Gracie's this past Saturday and it was wonderful. We sat down to a beautiful card, had a glass of bubbly and ordered. The food was out standing, dessert was delicious along with French press coffee. My husband is still talking about his steak! Thank you.

When you travel all the way from Pennsylvania to Gracie’s you know how we feel about it! Fine dining at its best. The staff certainly is very welcoming and attentive. The menu is creative in its preparation and flavors to make whatever you chose a delight. Their little extras always make diners feel special. Another excellent meal - worth the trip!

First of all, Caroline is the bartender/waitress of dreams. Great recommendations, unreal patience, and fabulous conversationalist. She's the go-to person to ask for when you dine at Gracie's. ALSO, the food is unreal. Top tier. They deserve a michelin star for the thought and ambience they've created at this spot in Downtown Providence. We talked through the menu items, and the tasting menus (a five and seven course option available!) and ended up doing the seven course tasting menu because it had everything we wanted from the regular menu, plus a few specials like scallop crudo and duck! Absolutely will be back during a different season for another special night. Thanks for topping off the cappucinos with love, Caroline!

I had been wanting to eat here for several months & finally went; and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was pleased. The service was great. Every staff person was kind and knowledgable of the wines & dishes being served. I chose to do the Five Course Chef’s Menu Tasting w/ wine pairings. The food was immaculate. Each dish melted in my mouth. I don’t have full descriptions of what was served, but here’s the summary: First course: Scallops Second course: Gnocchi Third course: Poached Fluke Palate cleanser: Chocolate raspberry sorbet Fourth (main) course: Duck Fifth: Blackberry Mousse Provided w/ a macaron from their sister bakery. The presentations were beautiful. My many compliments to the chef. In addition, the ambiance here is amazing. The lighting was dim and Ella Fitzgerald was softly playing in the background. Amazing dining experience 🌹💛 FYI: Be prepared to find your own parking as they don’t have valet.

If you want to make a claim of "higher hourly rate than industry standards" do so on your own merit. Price your menu appropriately. You are subsidizing your pay rate with the forced gratuity of your customers to artificially inflate the number. No thanks. Quote directly from website at time of review: "Our team is compensated with a “Teamshare” model. A 22% service charge is added to each bill. This charge is retained by Gracie’s and 100% is distributed to our Hospitality and Culinary Teams, providing them a higher hourly rate than industry standards."

Had the most amazing experience for our anniversary. They had a card and confetti waiting for us at the table and started us off with free champagne. It was an amazing meal start to finish. Would definitely return

We had an amazing time at Gracie’s. Service was very prompt; we also loved the special card set out for our anniversary dinner. The highlights were definitely the scallops and duck, but every aspect of the dinner was fabulous (even down to the raspberry sorbet palate cleanser and quince macarons to cap the night!)
