Stale dead dining room, don't let it fool you. Foods great, prices are great, portions are great.... mom and pop chinese is my favorite and this is a gem! Mad I didn't try them sooner!!

A nice little find with good prices! We got two egg rolls, crab puffs, and orange chicken. They gave us a TON of chicken! It was so good and averaged $12 a person. We had a lot of leftovers!

My absolute go-to for my three faves, which they make better than anybody. I’m there at least twice/month and the leftovers would feed all six of my grandkids. Do NOT pass on their House Special Egg Foo Young!

We enjoyed our meal. Fast, hot and good. Can't beat that.

As a family, we get carry out from here on a regular basis. There are other Chinese Restaurants closer, (which we've tried), to our home, but the Great Wok is worth a little extra drive. We enjoy all of the dishes that we've had, but order on a regular basis the Fried Rice dishes, particularly the pork, and chicken Egg Rolls. I have yet to be disappointed or unhappy with anything we've ordered.

Staff is super friendly and efficient. The food is just delicious and I love all their vegetarian options! Portions are generous and affordable!

Love the food. Love the service. If you’re dining in, don’t expect fancy environs but that’s part of what I love about the place. Share some local love and try it out. Also, you can ask for a mild version of their dishes, like orange chicken, if you don’t want spicy.

Awesome food makes this worth it. Great value, friendly service.. no hot tea available so you bring your own if you must have hot tea with your Chinese food. But the food is very high-quality and quite tasty would be perfect for takeout.

Egg drop soup was horrible. It was white and lacked flavor almost tasted burnt. Egg rolls were delicious and so was the hot mustard. General Tsos was bland and lacked that spice. Lady was super nice kind and sweet food just wasn't there.

Definitely a to go kind of place. Food was good and the they had it ready when I arrived. My wife likes their hot and sour soup and the egg rolls.

Will definitely be our #1 choice for Chinese food. New to area, and the reviews all said great good. If you are looking for fine dining; this isn’t it. Food comes in to-go containers, but that doesn’t matter. The quality of the food totally out weighs that. Had Kung Pao Chicken and Schezwan Beef. A couple chicken egg rolls for appetizer. Everything came out fast and hot.

Some of the freshest Chinese food I’ve had in the valley! I ordered the orange chicken and it was crispy, tender, and flavorful! The staff was friendly and polite. I usually don’t leave reviews but this place is a hidden jem for takeout! Would definitely recommend!

Egg drop soup was absolutely delicious and perfect The fried wonton strips that came with my order as well as the piece of cardboard between the soup container and the bag, were a nice and unexpected surprise that will keep me coming back for sure

Best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Orange chicken, beef fried rice, and curry chicken was absolutely perfect. Fast service, affordable, good size portions. To go orders are piping hot and fresh.

The service was not as good as it usually is. The hostess was very robotic like she continually said the same thing over and over. The waiter got our order wrong and then took a really long time (half hour) to bring us one sushi roll

Good location. Food is fantastic with the exception of serving cans of warm pop (soda). Staff is quiet and reserved. That said, the the point of the resturant is to serve palate stimulating food, not to be my pal.

I chose this place based on recommendations from other people in our area. The good part of this review is that the staff was friendly and the egg rolls were decent. The bad was everything else. The food had no flavor at all. We got General Tsos and Orange Chicken. They tasted basically the same. The chicken was so dry in terms of barely and I mean barely any sauce. So sad cause I really wanted to love this neighborhood place.

We have been ordering from Great Wok for 16+ years. Their pork fried rice is the best in the area IMO. We enjoy the shrimp/pork chop suey, kung pao chik/shrimp, orange chik, beef broccoli and other plates. The food is always freshly made and great customer service. Excellent vegetarian options as well.

Unpleasant experience in all aspects.

Good food at a great price, good portion (entrees can serve at least 2 people). All of the traditional dishes, the slices are flavorful, white meat chicken, large shrimp, the rice is made just right ... sticky enough and not dry. It's my go too for take out in the Ahwatukee area. My favorites are the egg foo young, szechawn shrimp, fried rice, honey shrimp and chicken all yummm. I typically haven't had to wait longer than 10 or 15 minutes for Good food!

I hadn't been there for quite a while & stopped by on a whim for wonton soup. It was FANTASTIC!! Chock full of meat and shrimp and fresh veggies & many homemade wontons STUFFED with filling. Super reasonable price and the woman who took care of me was quick and extremely friendly. Highly recommend that you try it! :)

Could of been a bad day or new chef, decent for fast food Chinese. Not a dining experience.

Definitely the best take out in the area for the price. The restaurant has the typical dishes for a Chinese takeout and they are fresh and well made. The hot and sour soup is well balanced and flavorful, quite spicy but not too hot to eat. One of my favorite dishes here is the chicken with snow peas because it's lightly flavored and they give a good amount of vegetables. If you are ever in a hurry, Great Wok is the place to go because they are fast. Everytime we order by phone, the food is ready by the time we arrive about 10-15 minutes later. I believe the owner's wife runs the front of the restaurant and she is always friendly while being efficient. Meals are like homemade comfort food. We definitely will be back!

The food lacked any type of seasoning. The customer service was very poor and lacking. The food and customer service was to the point that 2 stars is generous because the food was still edible.

This is our absolute favorite Chinese food place in Phoenix! The staff is friendly and thoughtful. The service is always quick, unless it’s a particularly busy day. If it does take a little longer, the food is worth the wait. Whenever I’m waiting I can talk to the hostess or even the other locals that are waiting who share stories about eating there. This place is a diamond and I highly encourage you to give them a try!

Home after a busy day, who wants to cook? We were visiting and decided to try it. So glad we did! Super fast. Never got an order wrong. Loved their wonton soup! Not just broth and a wonton. Theirs is a Meal with wontons, veggies, shrimp and chicken. Egg rolls? Crunchy and fresh!! Don't miss this.

Qualified five stars based on takeout food quality. Best hole in the wall Chinese food on this side of the valley. The dishes have nice uniform sized pieces of meat without the nasty parts. Trimmed well, battered well, and cooked well. They do food well and keep ordering simple. Just don't forget what your order was. That's how they keep track.

Great food everytime. Everyone in Ahwatukee should order takeout here once a week.. seriously it is that good and affordable. Egg Fu Yung is awesome. Egg roles are perfect.. my 9 year old loves the chicken Egg roles and chicken fried rice. My favorite thing though is the sizzling rice soup. I crave it and it is low carb! Food is always ready in 20 mins or less and folks are super friendly. Can't go wrong.

The Great Wok is a humble unpretentious cozy venue but their food is delicious and properly priced. I ordered the following to go; 1 veggie egg roll, 1 teriyaki chicken, 1 chicken Lo Mein, 1 Chicken Brocoli, 1 large War Wonton Soup the total amount was $57. At Chaos Bistro this order would have cost $80 ! I recommend Great Wok!!

I have always had great & tasty food. Today a friend wanted Chinese, I suggested this place, she ordered & I picked it up for her. She just called to tell me how great her & husband really enjoyed everything they ordered. I was happy, because she usually orders from a place next to the supermarket. Prices are always going up, but plenty & delish!

Great Wok ha sido una opción para la entrega de comida china para llevar / Ubereats durante Covid. Los platos de carne son nuestros favoritos de la casa, principalmente Great Wok Beef. Nivel picante perfecto para los tímidos y aventureros. Los potstickers están por encima del promedio para llevar. Está bien el pollo teriyaki ya que la 'salsa' es demasiado aguada para mi gusto. Holy, everything, that’s holy! This restaurant is hands down the BEST!!! The hot and sour soup, wow, delicious. (Seriously, my Fiancé and I had a half hour long conversation about how delicious it was). We have had their, Kung Pao, General Tso’s and orange chicken, all of them are amazing and leftovers are too. (I hate leftovers and I love this). We have had their egg rolls, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Absolutely, to die for. Had their Crab puffs, generously filled and wonderful. I highly recommend them and all their food. We have been searching for a delicious restaurant. This hits every single thing, we wanted!! You won’t be disappointed!!

First time there and the food was so good. Homemade hot mustard sauce, hot! Shrimp did not have the tail left on like many places tend to do. Price was worth it. Definitely recommend.

This is our favorite Chinese food in Ahwatukee. We were sad because we thought they had closed down due to Covid-19, but were happy to find them back open yesterday. We regularly get take out from them. Our favorites are the Cantonese lo mein, pot stickers, sweet and sour chx, honey chicken, house fried rice. Love their walnut shrimp too. Leaving a review cause I would hate to see them close due to lack of business during the pandemic

Great food and authentic wor wonton soup!!!!

We ordered four different items from their dinner menu and two soups. All the sauces were exactly the same brown sauce but one was a little more spicy. If you want brown sauce and small pieces of fatty unflavored pork then this is the place for you. Service was very good though. Three stars.

The food was very good. We had the Won-ton soup, chicken lo mein, and the sweet & sour chicken. Everything was delicious and came out freshly made. I do recommend this restaurant.

No hay MSG genial! El ambiente no tanto. Alguien estaba hablando por teléfono con altavoz en chino. Todos podían escuchar cada palabra. No se relaja en absoluto. La comida estaba bien. We go to Great Wok on a regular basis. The waitress is super personable and she always remembers her customers even remembers what we like to order. Their menu is simple, very affordable and plentiful.

Always the best soup in all of Phoenix.

Over the years we have relied on good chinese food, easy to order, to pick up or interact with. Great Wok has it and more! They have awesome menus from lunch to dinner and offer quick service with a great smile. I had my usual a lo mein veggie with tofu and it was delicious.

Not sure how to make lettuce wraps from parts of an old lettuce, but the chicken tasted decent though

Great food and fast delivery.. They have good lomein and the wonton soup is great. They are consistent with the quality of the food. Price is OK to the higher side. The employees are good, friendly. Overall it's a good place for dine in or takeout and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Tasty, traditional, American-Chinese food. They offer familiar Chinese dishes with a very cheerful attitude.

Lunch portions are just the right size. The sesame chicken was very good, as was the fried rice!

Took myself and two daughters there for the first time no long wait price was good and the amount of food for what you pay had to take a doggie bag home love this place will visit again and my kids loved it also
