My new favorite place for sammiessssss

You like bread? You like tasty bread? You like being healthy? This is your place. Love this Gulf Coast. From a Baguette for dipping to an excellent sandwich this is it. And don't neglect to grab a cinnamon roll.

I can’t say enough about this place. Fantastic sandwich options Amazing bread (purchasable loaves) Wonderful people (ALSO the cinnamon roll was one of the best I’ve ever had) At home I’m currently using their Olive & Herb loaf for my smaller light lunch sandies and the Sriracha Garlic loaf for big boi sammies. Both are truly outstanding. Parking can be tough during busy hours.

First of all the bread is wonderful. I got a meatball but when I got home the order was wrong. I think the confusion was because the guy who took my order crossed out some stuff and the sandwich maker misunderstood. The good news is that it was really delicious anyway. It is very very small so you are probably not going to be able to sit down unless you get there when they aren't busy. I was there on a Sat and it was packed. Bought a loaf of sourdough to take home. Definitely recommend.

Hands down my favorite sandwich place for anything other than Cubans in Tampa.

The different flavored breads are always so yummy. And the cinnamon rolls!

First of all, I’m not a fan of sourdough or sandwiches in general, but this sandwich was delicious. I ordered a BST with cheese on the olive and herb loaf. I loved the kalmata olives. They went really well with my sandwich. It also masked the sour flavor that I don’t like! We did wait awhile for our sandwiches, but he gave us a treat of cinnamon rolls for being so patient! What great service!

When going in the store, I noticed how most of the product was frozen and seemed unappetizing. As well as the manager being rude and having no manors!!

I ordered a Turkey and swiss on Marble Rye.This Sandwich was perfection without a Horrible wait.I phoned in my order from my job 5 minutes Away driving.

The staff were friendly. Store was clean. And the bread was PHENOMENAL!! We got a rustic sourdough, baguette, and cinnamon swirl. All three were delicious! Very versatile! We will absolutely be back soon.

My wife and I love having sourdough for breakfast, so I make it a point to visit Gulf Coast Sourdough every weekend to pick up different varieties of their bread. Their sourdough breads are made in-house, and they have a well-deserved reputation for both their breads and sandwiches. We are particularly fond of their sourdough bread, which always starts our day on a high note. I also appreciate their website, which clearly details where they distribute their breads. From what I've heard, their sandwiches are also delicious and tasty. While I haven't had the chance to try one yet, I'm definitely looking forward to experiencing their sandwiches in the near future.

Food is great. Made pretty quickly. Order the pastrami with onions and pickles. 👍

While their food and quality is great, I had a less than ideal experience today. They forgot to add the meat to my sandwich that I ordered on my lunch break today. I didn’t have time to go back before work again. When I called them to let them know, they told me they could only refund the meat part of my sandwich. I’ve worked in the service industry a long time and would have expected them to refund the full sandwich. That definitely was a disappointment on the management side of things.

Very tasty sandwiches. Tried the Buffalo Chicken, Meatball and the Pulled Pork (weekly special) so far. All excellent choices. I recommend ordering online so it's ready when you get there, because they do get busy on most days.

My mom and I came in around a hour before they closed for the first time….it was great!! The staff was very friendly, quick and efficient. The sandwich was to die for !! I usually get ham but I did not see they offer it so I chose turkey. I don’t really like turkey but they put some magic into that sandwich!! It was one of the best sandwiches I think I’ve ever had haha! I will definitely come back and would absolutely recommend!! Thanks Gulf Coast Sourdough! :)

Edit: 5 stars First off, the bread and the sandwich overall is phenomenal. Service is great as well. Only reason for 4 stars is the amount of turkey on my sandwich. Was told they only put 3 oz of turkey on the sandwich which sounds crazy low to me for a $10.49 sandwich, so I ask for double meat, they charge me $2, no problem. I put chips on my sandwich so i opened it up and there were literally 2 slices of turkey on it. So I don’t know if they forgot to add the double turkey or what but if that’s double the turkey its ludicrous to call the regular amount a turkey sandwich, its more of a grilled cheese with one slice of turkey on it. I’ll definitely be back cuz the sandwich was bangin but Im gonna have to iron that out next time, id gladly pay more but it needs to actually have turkey on it. Turkey should be the MAIN ingredient on a turkey sandwich.

Best sandwich in tampa hands down! Homemade bread - doesn’t get better than this. High quality ingredients and all the sandwiches are pressed so they get all melty and warm and delicious. Definitely recommend their cinnamon rolls too 😍

Great chill environment with great bread and food for starting mornings out slow and steady. My 3yo loved dancing to the music playing and enjoying the food.

Our sandwiches were delicious and a generous size. $2.50 to add a side and drink is a good deal, but for the price of the sandwich I think it should come with chips or drink. Online order and pick up was very easy. And I really appreciate how many creative options there are for vegetarians and vegans! I was surprised to see that vegan aioli and vegan mayo have no up-charge!

Delicious Pesto & Turkey sandwich, freshly baked sourdough.

We stopped through here on a roadtrip and had the spinach feta sandwich! It was incredible. The bread is unbeatable.

Don’t go with a budget. Just buy everything. I haven’t had anything there that I wasn’t blown away by. The BLT is my fav. Everything is so fresh and homemade, it just hits different. Sweets are not too sweet. We always get a pizza dough to go too and make pizza for dinner. It’s delicious and cheaper than pizza dough from Publix’s bakery.

Great sourdough baguette! Sad that there cinnamon bread was already out at lunchtime. Lots of people waiting so a little congested.

This place is great but not everyone can have wheat. Would be great if they added: rye spelt, kamut, einkorn, Something that gives people more options. Not everyone can tolerate hybridized American wheat.

Awesome Healthy Bread! And it doesn’t get more local. Great storefront and while it may be more money you’re paying for quality. The Turmeric Loaf and the Dill Loaf were brought to the office to toast with butter instead of grabbing donuts and they were a hit.

I have been coming to this place for weeks now and it has never let me down. I love all of the sandwiches on their menu (even the vegan/vegetarian) and their weekly specials never miss. The biggest thing I appreciate is that their sandwiches actually look like they do in the pictures, and they taste amazing. I have to recommend the pesto sandwiches here, and I'm not even a huge fan of pesto! The service is also spectacular as they are always nice, one time I ordered a sandwich and they told me they ran out of one of the ingredients (which was fine for me) but gave me an extra item without even asking or them mentioning it - little things like that tell me they care for the customer. Do not sleep on their bread puddings either, I always pick one up when I grab a lunch and my gf and I love them. The only nit I have is that their breaded chicken, while tasting high quality, the breading can have a "mushy" texture sometimes. It's also a little on the pricey side but the quality is well worth it.

Oh my lanta, that falafel sandwich with spicy kimchi is the business! My husband enjoyed the buffalo chicken and my daughter even inhaled the grilled cheese ( she never finishes her sandwiches). I forgot about taking the picture until I was halfway through, but great job on the sandwiches. We also bought some loaves of bread to make some French toast in the morning. We only buy sourdough bread from companies that are conscious so finding this on our vacation was a nice treat!

I ordered the Ranch chicken on sourdough. The bread is good that’s about it, the “chicken” is frozen chicken strips.. $12 for a sandwich I would expect something else.

Exceeded my already high expectations. We got a classic turkey & pesto turkey sandwich for lunch and both were amazing. We also got 2 cinnamon rolls and a loaf to go. I live 30 minutes away, but I'll definitely make the drive again to try something new next time.

Kinda ashamed I haven't reviewed this place sooner considering how often I come here. The sandwiches are amazing and the bread loaves are out of this world. Usually there's a tasty special sandwich that can be ordered (check their Instagram to find it weekly). The dining area would be my only complaint as it's pretty cramped during peak hours, but that just tells you how good the food is: everyone wants it! Bathrooms are clean and staff are all very customer-oriented. If you're in the area and in need of lunch, can't beat this place.

Awesome selection of breads, sandwiches and toppings. It’s always busy and we took home a loaf of bread to share with the family. It’s no surprise their reviews reflect their food quality! I wish I could’ve got to try their weekly turkey special (Thanksgiving themed), but I didn’t see the sign until after I sat down

I love this place! Absolutely one of the best places to get sandwiches in The Heights. Their fresh bread is very good, and they have a great loyalty program and good deals on products in the freezer. Breakfast rolls are always a hit on the weekends. Don’t pass up their bread puddings with unique flavor combinations (in the cooler) I’ve never been disappointed!

One of the top tier hidden gems of Tampa and Seminole Heights. Amazing sourdough breads with all sorts of creative flavors, and unbelievably good sandwiches made right there. I can’t get enough of it. I highly recommend the meatball sandwich and chicken sandwich. My favorite bread is the turmeric and black pepper sourdough but they’ve always got great options there. 10/10 you’ve got to go here.

I haven't tried the bread yet but it looks amazing! The vibe in here is so relaxed and welcoming! Juliana was very kind and helped me use the QC code so I could determine the nutritional information. When I lifted the bread it had more weight to it than any loaf of bread I've ever felt in my life! That got me even more curious about the carbs. I was pleasantly surprised that the bread I chose : the artesian cheese has only 26 carbs per slice

EXCELLENT. Try this place and I think you’ll be pleased. *Bread, good *Sandwiches, good *Cinnamon rolls, very good -Simply sourdough, good -Rosemary and garlic sourdough, pretty good (maybe too much rosemary for my liking, but it’s present as it should be) -Buffalo chicken sandwich, pretty good -Vegan meatball sandwich, very good -Sandwiches are a nice size for about $10. -Cinnamon rolls have a good balance of sweetness, definitely not overly sweet (which I enjoy) The ONLY bad thing … is the parking. Lol.

The food here was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The overall appearance when you walk in was nice, had a comfortable atmosphere. The only reason I gave a 4 star was because the bathroom was less than pleasant. It was dirty and when I go eat somewhere I like a clean bathroom.

I am BEYOND obsessed with their sourdough. I can eat literally eat it plain for days in a row and never tired of it. The best sourdough bread I’ve ever had. You must go here. Go, now.

Delicious sandwiches and treats!

Popped in for breakfast on Saturday and loved the Baja Flyby. Reasonable prices and great food.

Great breads and a great place to shop.

Love this place. The owners are so sweet and great to talk to. Love all their breads but the Italian sourdough and the Tampa Bay bread are our favorites. I also love their huge sourdough cinnamon rolls and the flyby sandwiches. Their pizza dough has been amazing for homemade pizzas to.

Gulf Coast Sourdough provided the most flavorful sandwich experience I have experienced to date. I tried their Greek turkey with olive sourdough bread. The employees helped me pick the selection of bread and boy was it a good choice! The cinnamon roll was superb, being the perfect amount of sweet without being overpowering.

The food, the vibes - all amazing! The hardest part is deciding what to order! You can catch me ordering the pepperoni & provolone flyby for lunch every chance I get. Check out their website and Instagram for weekly and daily specials!

I’m so impressed! I got a grilled cheese on the Asiago bread and a bacon egg and cheese on Asiago bread and they were both to die for! The best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread was so fresh, I’ve never had anything comparable. I tried their cinnamon rolls as well, unlike any others I’ve had. Everything is so fresh. The staff is so incredibly nice. I love it here!!

Kinda dissapointing. We ordered 3 flybys and not one of them was outstanding. "Everything bagel" flyby was not nearly having enough cream cheese. The cream cheese it had was a kinda weird texture and taste. The everything mix on top was too salty. All 3 flybys we tried were really too dry. I'm not sure how they are able to do this. But even the ones filled with mostly veggies were not nearly moist enough. We weren't given any kind of plate or tray to eat off of, so we just had to use the food wrappers which was kinda off putting. The upside is the staff was very friendly. It just seems like their workspace is over crowded and too small. What's really worring is that all their dry food, they don't even even give you free water. So bring s full water bottle to be ready. For dessert we got a cookie which was also somehow too dry and still cake-y. Not really the fault of the establishment but there were a lot of flies outside.

Excellent bread and tried three sandwiches and two flyovers. Brest was superb and grilled cheese money. Definitely recommend. We also booth the active dough to take back to DC. They make all the food right there and bake their eggs. Multiple choices of breads to mix and match with the sandwiches.

First time here and I’ll be back soon. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sourdough sandwich. It was right out of the oven and delicious! I’ll be back for a lunch sandwich.

Exceptional from the smiling staff to evwry product they create. This establishment is a must visit! The varuety of freshly made breads, cinnamon rolls, and bake items is unmatched im the area. They also have a great variety of aandwiches and other food items that are great and all just different enough from standard offerings elsewhere to make them worth the trip from wherever you are.

First time stopping by this morning and i must say it’s an hidden gem in the neighborhood! Super fresh bread and the cashier is super friendly! I picked up a loaf of Italian sourdough, and some other bake goods. The bread is super yummy!
