Stopped by for Dine LA because of really good lunch deals and had a fantastic experience! They make sure that you don't go home hungry because they serve you lots of delicious food. The staff were also excellent, everyone in the restaurant made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Will be back with a group of friends!

Fantastic BBQ with great value for money. This is more of a Korean-Japanese style, specially given they serve kimchi-jjigae with edamame on the side. The staffs are super friendly and nice. Parking is not very convenient. They have 1,000cc draft beer from Kirin Ichiban, which is super satisfying. They have separate kids menu. Highly recommend it, but make a reservation. The place get packed up.

Everything was well prepared and well marinated, and the service was excellent, we had a nice discussion with the waitress about Persona.

Great place for large groups. Food is amazing, can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The all you can eat is well worth it. The beer tower is also great too. Sometimes service can be slow but understandable on busy nights

It's not a bad spot. Took my wife and sons out to eat for one of their birthdays, and we enjoyed it. Some cuts of meat are too thick. Great service. It is on the expensive side for no real reason. No preset sauces. Does offer take out. Limited parking, but it is LA!

Excellent fresh, good, and quick food. We arrived during their happy hour and our group was satisfied with everything we received. The bibimbap was amazing and very flavorful. The ramen was top notch. And the steak was good as well. Would definitely recommend to make a reservation as we came here once and they didn’t have any available tables for us to eat. And they told us they wouldn’t sit walk ins for the rest of the day. But the food made up for it.

Food is not the same. Use to be good but has gone downhill. The beef was waaayyyy too sweet, food was lukewarm, they forgot items I ordered to go and did not include utensils. Never coming back here again.

This is the second time my wife and I have unfortunately have been inconvenienced by food poisoning out of six times eating at this location in the past 3 months. This location desperately needs a revamping and is worn out. As I sit on my toilet at 2am writing this post I Figured the first first time was just bad timing. Now I know that their raw food preparation is not up to par. I would bet we aren’t the only ones with this complaint this morning.

Ordered two beef Ramen bowls on Doordarsh. Once the order arrived, it only had one bowl and they said, on the receipt, that the second beef Ramen bowl was out of stock. They never called us to let us know or anything. Very upsetting.

I have visited this place 5, 6 times. The service is really great. Waiter and waitress are nice to guests. Food quality is also good. One thing can be improved tho. It is a popular restaurant and it packed really quick. The sourcing of grill stove top should be clean up before next guest.

They advertise all you can eat pricing. I even confirmed by phone when I made the reservation. Then they don’t honor it. Individual pricing is totally a rip off because they give you a tiny, tiny portion for each order. Like 5 bite sized pieces for $15-$20. So it will end up costing $250-$200 per person if you order a lot of food.

It's one of my favorite places to eat! I like celebrating my birthday here. The meat there is absolutely delicious and of high quality.

The food was great, well-seasoned but the portion sizes were a little too small. This was my first time at a Japanese BBQ and would love to try some more again next time!

Outstanding, $60 happy hour special is a great deal, add a couple plates, drinks and desert, and you may need to be carted home.

If you’re thinking of eating here think twice this place makes you wait for 45 to 50 minutes when there is open seating and no one waiting there is. The lack of effort send customer service it’s not worth the way your dollar. This is coming from someone that mommy then you can appreciate culinary and eats out often. There are plenty other options to consider before this one. This is the second time this happens even if you have kids or a newborn they don’t make any efforts to accommodate.

If I could give it 0 STARS I would! Went there with my family today and was treated WITH RACISM!! The whole restaurant was filled with non blacks and we were the only BLACK FAMILY THERE! My mom and I was disrespected by an Asian customer who had no respect for PERSONAL space in this PANDEMIC! I spoke on this and 25 mins later we are still at the table with no waiters in sight!! The Asian/Latinos who came in AFTER us who didn’t have RESERVATIONS were greeted n got their orders taken! Mind you we HAD RESERVATIONS and still sat at the table for 25 mins!! No one asked us were we ready to order or anything!! Everyone else HAD FOOD ON TABLES Etc! I asked a waiter “ARE WE GOING TO BE SERVICED OR NOT? We got up and WALKED TF OUT! Went to the GYU-KAKU LOCATION IN SANTA MONICA where we were treated with RESPECT!! The BEST SERVICE! So to my ppl, if ur BLACK stay away from the PICO LOCATION! I’ll be calling corporate office tomorrow!

Stopped by there with some friends this evening. No vaccine card no service. I will never support this establishment again. If people can’t wake up and realize these mandates are ridiculous then they will lose a lot of customers like me. We promptly left and went to a more reasonable establishment. Utterly ridiculous and the sheep will continue to just go with the flow. Never again, I will never eat at any Gyu Kaku again

One of my favorite BBQ places in LA. Great place. I always make a reservation and am always sat promptly. The service is great and they are friendly and helpful if it's your first time. The food is tasty. The meats are quality and the marinades on some of them give them a great flavor. The tables themselves are also nice and large with comfortable seats. Plenty of room for the endless dishes you'll be ordering. The grills are clean and they'll get you a fresh one if you need it. The sake is hot and delicious and the beer on tap is one of the best (cold, frosty mug, not skunky) in Los Angeles. Highly recommend for a lunch or dinner with friends. Get some large sake, some meats, and hang out. Don't forget to tip generously, these are hard times!

Normal food, small cooking area for six people + a very rude waiter cursing me when i decided not to tip and told him why. Remember: TIPS ARE NOT MANDATED!!!!! YOU CAN’T BEG FOR IT LIKE A LITTLE BABY!

Excellent place if you want a great variety of sides and a deliciously marinated meat selection. Would choose this over other BBQ options if you are having intense cravings. they also give S'MORES with their set menus. Vibe is nice and the service is very helpful and friendly. You will have a fun time here and your stomachs will feel satisfied.

Been to Gyu-Kakus all over the world, and the food and service are consistently good, and this location is no different. My favorite is the Kobe style rib fingers.

The Chicken was 80% burnt crumbs. There were two pieces of solid chicken and even those were tiny. I'm not leaving a total trash review because this place as a chain is great. I'd just avoid this location. This was just awful.

We celebrated our Valentine's Day at gyukaku! We got their Ultimate AYCE dinner menu for $47 per person. Definitely a bit more expensive than your typical Kbbq's and Jbbq's, but honestly, it is so worth it. I think they have some of the best quality meats in SoCal! Their Ultimate is already a pretty extensive menu, so unless you REALLY want more time to eat or just really love the additional meats on the Supreme Menu, I think the Ultimate is definitely the way to go. My absolute favorite meats to get are their beef tongue and filet mignon salt & pepper. So buttery and tender! They also have some gosh darn delicious appetizers that will probably make you too full to eat more meat, like garlic noodles, fried cheese wontons, and even buttered cheese corn! Getting their s'mores and ice cream for dessert was also the best way to end such a heavy meal! MAKE RESERVATIONS AHEAD OF TIME!!

Me invitó a este restaurante por amigos hace unos días. La comida era deliciosa, y excepcionalmente no era pesado. Disfruté del toque de bricolaje con el bunner en pieza central del cuadro. Las comidas eran perfectamente sazonado y la decoración del restaurante era bastante acogedor. Está cerca de aparcamiento en el centro comercial por lo que es fácil de acceder. Durante esta visita, probamos cada otros pedidos, por lo tanto, tuve la oportunidad de probar varios platos. Pedimos pescado, camarones, fideos de arroz, sushi, ajo caliente, y la sopa miso y una ensalada.

Esta fue mi segunda visita a esta ubicación y después de darle una segunda oportunidad, no volveré a visitarla en el futuro. El servicio fue lento nuevamente. Esta última visita fue un domingo por la tarde y no estaba muy concurrida. Conseguimos nuestros aperitivos de inmediato, pero los platos principales (comida cruda que usted mismo cocina) llegaron después de 90 minutos. ¿Puedes creer que cultivar carne cruda duraría tanto? My sister and I eat here often. It's a little pricey because you purchase everything separately. The food and veggies are served raw and you have a grill built into the table to cook it yourself. They give you cooking guidelines to help. It's fun and innovative. No other restaurant offers anything like this.

This was only my second time at this type of restaurant and it is fun to BBQ your own meal but I needed a timer so I didn't overdue on the food. The broccoli was yummy, the shrimp tasty and the chicken was good. The portions of chicken and shrimp were incredibly small and I did leave a bit hungry even though I ate the brown rice, and I don't eat very much but I like my protein.

If you like to cook your own food on a very hot grill, this place is for you. We came during happy hour (after 9:00 p.m.) where food was 1/2 price. We tried about 8 different dishes and found them to be all good, except the fried rice which is a large piece of chicken "mushed" with steamed rice. Otherwise, you can try a host of dishes including salmon, ribeye, mushrooms, shrimp, etc. All cocktails are Saki based, which I am not a fan.

I thought I should try this place as I had not yet been to an all you can eat while in California. The food was really good and a novalty as you had to cook the food yourself at your table. I ended up eating too much but it was worth it.

They have a lunch special menu that are reasonably priced. Foods are good and service is also good. We frequent this place for lunch. Place has a nice ambient.

My mind was blown away just looking at the menu options! $30 happy hour for all-you-can-eat. As a meat lover – both beef and pork varieties - I was in paradise. And wait until you try their beef sukiyaki bibimbap – TOTAL BLISS! And I just discovered that there is the same restaurant close to home in Canada! Think I am turning Japanese!

Make sure you have a reservation because it is always crowded. You are seated at a table with a built-in barbecue grill in the center sunken at table level. You can order individual items or $30 or $40 all you can eat per person. There are about 50 or more items to choose from consisting of appetizers, salads, meats and rice. Every selection ordered and cooked ouselves was excellent including the process of cooking each to the doneness you like most. Service was good as was the hot saki we had. Joshua Del Monte is the manager and he is always there to insure everyone is happy.

Consider it a fun adventure. The menu can be a bit confusing but it's worth working your way through it and then cooking your own food. The choices are almost endless and the food is cut up to the perfect size. It was quite amazing.

This restaurant is our favorite go to place when we come to California. This was our first visit to this location and we were very pleased. Very friendly staff and excellent service.

Food and experience was awesome. We got the happy hour meal for two for about $45. The bathrooms were pretty bad is my only complaint. There was no trash can for paper towels, dark, and just felt like gas station bathroom.
