It is best to come here with a large party (which they can easily accommodate with plenty of group tables in their large dining area). ✨That would be the party trick that one can use to try everything here✨ AND if the Soju tree upon entry into this establishment was any indicator, drinks are flowing here with your pick of alcohol, including draft beer and their trendy 🍉Watermelon Soju (a group effort, right?!)😜 We had: Wagyu beef belly, angus short rib, aged ribeye, beef brisket, rib cap steak, prime beef rib, prime marinated beef rib, prime spicy beef rib, prime LA short rib, prime beef rib finger, prime beef marinated rib finger, and prime cut sirloin steak

Didn’t really like the service I was waiting for the past half an hour, just for the waitress to tell me that my stroller did not fit in and that I had to wake my toddler

Unpleasantly very bad service from the waiters. We decided to share a nice moment with family and the waiters completely ignored us. We had to practically stop them from passing by our table. Literally asking them up to 4 times for what we wanted to eat or drink because they simply did not pay attention to us, or did not want to pay attention to us. Definitely not to return.

Super bad service, the two waiters are super annoying when you ask for something they give it to you reluctantly. How could you ask them?

Came here with family first I've came here you dont wait long to get a table food wad good but they do need to work on there services checking on the costumers i had asked for rice paper to this guy waiter and he had a bad attitude dont know if hes just happy working there but I've worked on being a waiter and they could definitely do better maybe the waiters will get a good tip if they are on top of it and with a good attitude but other than that clean ,great music ,love the vanity in the woman restroom i took pics of my self but will want to come back and give another review on this place

Did not like that they automatically charge 18% tip to every party and provided horrible service. I don't mind tipping If the service was good but our server did not speak to us very much never checked on us we had to ask the bus boy for refills 3 time..

I would put 0 stars if I could i accidentally spilled a sauce on my seat upon arrival the waiter just looked and walked away I wasn’t even able to sit down for a while I was just standing until someone came so I can ask for help i asked the busboy for a rag as he was the only one near which he kindly brought the service was HORRIBLE I would put no tip of I could but it was an automatic not deserved at all!! Not to mention I got asked right away if I was ready to order with no menus or even explained how it works as it was my first time I didn’t even get greeted 0/10 service not worth it

Everything was on point! High quality food, service and cool ambiance. Try their spicy baby octopus 🐙 It’s almost melting in your mouth! However, be warned, you will be forced to pay a 15% tips once you get the check. This goes against all my principles since a tip should be voluntary and not forced. What if my preferred amount is less or more? I found forced tipping completely absurd and entitled! And know that we were only two people eating

Really wanted to like this place bc of tiktok. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely terrible. They don’t speak to you or greet you, and they make you feel as though you’re inconveniencing them throughout your stay. We had no idea that this was a self cooking restaurant and no one even bothered to ask if this was our first time or not. Subsequently our food burned and the server gave us dirty looks for it. I will never go to this place again. My friend and I also felt hints of racism as our server was having a blast and even taking SHOTS of soju with the group next to us, but when we asked for butter, scissors, etc, we were treated like we were annoying him. I would go somewhere else if I were you.

Beautiful place the ambient and the music was amazing food spectacular 10/10 definitely coming back.

We called asking if we can make a reservation for a large party and the person who answered the phone though we wanted to use the parking lot and was speaking rude to us when we tried explaining to him we just wanted to go eat at this establishment.

Food was okay, but the service was just bad. You have to flag a server down if you need something, they dont go around asking if you need anything, and they were all so serious, almost as if they were upset. They took our empty pitcher of water as we all had empty cups and they did not refill it. The rice paper had a flowery consistency, it was gross. Also, there was a bunch of oil on the floor and nobody bothered to clean it.

Hosted a friend from out of town and he really wanted to try some Korean BBQ. I knew just the spot! This place has been on my list for the longest and I'm glad we were able to get in! Usually the place gets packed and it's not just 1 restaurant. It has a Central market type feel with plenty of variety to keep your taste buds happy. We opted to arrive shortly before they opened at 5pm and even at that time there were at least 15 parties in line(very very good sign!). We entered and everyone was seated rather quickly. The place filled up fast. We chose the 34.99 option which included a load of premium cuts. My friend really enjoyed the prime Bulogi and my favorite were the rib fingers. A lot of parties got what looked like a beer tower so we also ordered one. They have 12+ kinds of beer on tap(AMAZING!) and even fresh watermelon cocktails. We managed to get through 7 plates of various cuts of meat along with an order of the steamed egg(eat while it's puffy but be careful cause it is HOT! 😅), spicy stew and so many side dishes("Banchan" in Korean). We had a wonderful dinner and by the time we left, the oh so familiar line out the door reached down the street to the parking lot(they have valet $3). Thank you for the awesome food and service! BTW, very cool chicken "wings" outside the restaurant. This time we came to eat Moodaepo II, but we'll be back for the other joint, Chicken Warriors!

I love this Korean restaurant food,yes the food and portions are really good,but they charge a lot for the tip by % of number of persons they are attending and te hey get mad if you don't want to pay all the tips they say.on the bill.

The food was pretty good, very typical kbbq selection and the quality was good as well. I went with a party of 5 on a Wednesday evening. There were only a few parties at the time. But the service was not great at all. Most of the time, the serves did not say a single word and sometimes not even a nod to acknowledge. It will take a long time for them to check up on us and that’s with me trying to call them over. Again it was not a busy night by any means. With an order limit of 3 and 1 grill, it shouldn’t take 20-25 mins between rounds. They also have an automatic 20% gratuity, no matter the party size. I don’t mind tipping at restaurants, but ayce kbbq requires to check on patrons more often than others otherwise you feel cheated and to be ignored when I only wanted to order isn’t very thoughtful. I would understand if it was a weekend with a lot of people, but middle of the week shouldn’t have this kind of problem. I will say having parking (no charge when we went) in k-town was nice since it can be pretty difficult.

The servers were amazing. They were very nice, and it didn't take long for them to bring out our meats. The only thing WE WAITED 30 MINUTES FOR A TABLE and there were only 2 parties in the whole restaurant

I really liked the food, the quantities and portions served are great, everything is grilled and you can only order 3 items per round (they are filling). However, I didn't really like the customer service and that you basically don't tip, they increase the amount they want... that leaves a lot to be desired.

Warning! Tip is not optional. They should just increase the prices so customers are mentally prepared. Besides that food is really good. So essentially add an additional 30% on top of the base price. The steam egg dish is really good. I recommend it.

I drove past this place a couple of times and always saw a crowd gathered outside so I figured I'd give it a try myself. Do not make the same mistake I did. this place sucked. First off, the floors are very greasy and unsafe. Wear anti slip shoes. Second, the background music they have playing is so LOUD, like extremely loud you cant carry a conversation. The quality of meats was OK, We went with option A and most of the meats came so thinly sliced that they'd fall apart before even placing them on the grill. There's way better KBBQ places around here and for a dollar or two less per person. Lastly this irked me, but it felt like the waiters were policing our plates before handing us our bill. I understand there's an extra fee if you leave left overs but it was very uncomfortable and unacceptable. We wont be coming back here but I figure I leave a review to warn others.

This place was amazing! My son and I were leaving downtown headed back to the valley and just saw Moodaepo as we were driving by and decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you!!! Fire 🔥🔥 service…quality…readiness of the staff. Amazing! We’ll definitely be back with the whole fam next time 🙌

Great food and customer service

I went in today and when the bill came I was charged a $15 fee. When I asked what for they said its on all tabs. I asked for where it said that and he showed me the menu in which it states “parties of 5 or more will be charged a fee”. We were a party of 3. The food gave me diarrhea and made me very nauseous. I hope it was fresh. Anyway I wouldn't really recommend it, better places around for the price. Don't let the $25.99 price fool you. You will end up paying more.

5 stars for the amazing cuts of meat. They deserve negative stars for the service. I travel far to come here because of the meat but every time the service is poor and it’s due to them automatically adding tip, doesn’t matter the size of the party. This time I went I didn’t get water until after two servings of meat. Do Better and I’ll change the review. We’ll see y’all next time.

I just finished eating course B for dinner. The stage gun is really cool. I went to eat meat and came away impressed. The meat quality is very good and delicious. Especially the Korean male employee wearing glasses. The service was great so I ate the meat. I almost cried. . Grill the shrimp carefully. Cook the meat very deliciously. They also provided ice cream as a service. . In a harsh world like today Such a pleasant restaurant It's been a really long time.ㅜㅜ Good luck, fighting The harmony of shrimp meat and tiger shrimp. . It was an unforgettable taste The stage is the best!!!

This was the only Korean BBQ place that I have been gone to for almost 9 years every time I visit LA but not anymore from now on! I am willing to tip your servers more than 15% and wouldn't wait for you guys auto charge me 15% gratuity for the party with only 3 people without letting me aware of it (normally for the most restaurants only charge gratuity for the party of 5 or up!). And Mr. Owner/Manager please don't reply me with saying that you guy provided me the best excellent service or something Because I literally asked for every single things from where to sit, needed sides, drinks,...that supposed to be asked from your servers. All your servers acted like customers come for asking your favor!! You better hire smiley faces to work not those all ignorant behavior faces !

The place I visited was truly the worst. I've had a lot of Korean BBQ, but experiencing such lack of care at each table was a first. I won't go there again.

It is the perfect place to enjoy delicious typical Korean food, with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff 😃👍 I only recommend paying attention to the menu and making sure of the prices and don't overpay like it happened to me 😲

It's a hit or miss with these people! Food is good but the service is either good or outright horrible with the staff they're always mad they ignore you and they FORCE the 15% 25% tip on the bill they don't ask you they just straight up charge you regardless if you have a group of 4 or 10 ... and they wanna kill you when you don't wanna pay the extra tip

The service from all employees except one was absolutely horrible. It seemed as they didn’t want to continue to serve us, ignored us and had a horrible attitude towards our party. I won’t be coming back anymore. Fire the waiters and hire new ones. Unacceptable from a place that requires great customer service constantly. Don’t come here.

My friends and I came here to celebrate one of their birthday. They have valet parking next door and the price is cheap but if you come during the day time, it's free parking. We came at 5pm before the rush so when we arrived we were seated right away. We went with the Combo B(+A) menu and started with the Brisket, Short Ribs and Prime season Sirloin. The steaks were good and the employee will change out the grill when they see that it needed to ne change. The servers were attentive to our table until they got busy because after all the table were filled, it was harder to flag them down to order more meat and get a grill change. Our favorite was the spicy beef brisket, aged ribeye, short rib ans the spicy beef Sirloin. They also will play a birthday song and the lights inside will change if you tell them it's someone birthday. They give you a Thai tea ice cream for their free dessert.

Overall this place was okay, came to try this place because we seen it on Tiktok. It wasn’t really worth the hype. The food was good, big pieces but the service was bad. Server looked like he hated his job. Never came to ask us if we needed anything, and seemed like he was avoiding everything in this place. The atmosphere was okay, it could’ve been better.

This was by far one of the best Korean BBQ places I've had the privilege of visiting. The craziest part, it is all you can eat with high quality cuts of meat. Usually the places I've been to that are all you can eat have low quality meat so I try to avoid them at all cost even with good reviews. However, a local Korean gentleman told me that if I like Korean BBQ this place is a must. I am so happy we took his advice! Enjoy your journey through the wonderful tastes of Korea if you visit! Give Will the server a RAISE! Wonderfully attentive service and delightful food. Maybe it was a little loud but really was not a bother. Very thankful they showed us kindness when our party was late.

Great KBBQ spot where they offer AYCE and so many good side dishes. Went during lunch time and the ayce lunch set was extremely well priced with large serving sizes. Excited to go back soon!

Great cuts of meat here for all you can eat KBBQ. It's a good value in relation to what else is out there, but the service isn't necessarily the best. I like that they have full steaks here, but keep in mind the steaks are not better than the traditional Korean barbecue meats you would get normally. The teriyaki steak is a normal flat iron with some teriyaki sauce and a cold pineapple thrown on top, nothing special. Atmosphere looks cool but when the place is empty it gets kind of quiet but when it's packed it's lit!

Moodaepo has one of the cheapest AYCE KBBQ options in the LA city area with a 24.99 weekday lunch menu. That gives you a good spread of options from unseasoned beef, marinated meats, pork, chicken, and sides too. Moodaepo is off to the side and their lunch times are never busy. It’s a huge space so I don’t expect it to be packed at night either. They provided a bunch of banchan that were pretty good. The kimchi is not really spicy. Meat quality was middle of the road and you get what you pay for. They have higher quality for a higher price. Overall, they have much fattier, greasier meats and that ends up filling you up faster. The service was pretty good, though a little absent as they were preparing for night time (presumably). The scissors at our table were useless so we took the one next to us which worked much better. I think it’s better to save up for more expensive KBBQ, but this is an affordable option that isn’t trash.

One of the best Korean BBQ spots I’ve been too. Came here to celebrate a birthday and the atmosphere was excellent. This place offered quality cuts of meat and the price was very reasonable. Street parking was hard to find but the restaurant has $3 valet parking next to the building.

Worst service ever. It was a party of 5, and the tip is automatically included, thus I feel that is the reason why the customer service isnt great, I definetly do not think they deserve the tip they received. Its quite disapponting they dont check up on you when you need something and you have to constantly raise your hand to get their attention. Overall the food was ok, parking was easy to find as they have their own parking lot. Nonetheless, I have tried other Korean BBQS and can say I have received better service and food from other korean bbqs. I will not be coming back and will let others know my experience here as well.

Food is delicious and one of the best KBBQ spots in Ktown but customer service is completely trash. Server named Saemin is overall rude, this is the second time we have him serve our table. I guess that’s how people work when the boss isn’t around

This place has some bomb meats, they recently shortened their menu now there’s not a lot to choose from the 1st menu but they do offer more meats in the most expensive menus . This place gets packed so arrive with time to wait in line . The burners need some work most stations just burn from one side . Over all this place is a great place to eat partys over 2 people they will add on your bill the gratuity service fee already in your bill. This place offers a lot of side dishes and they all ways have beer ready to go.

Looking for BBQ in Koreatown we saw Moodaepoo II and decided it was the place for us. Service was great, the staff thought ahead rather than being reactive like so many places and you were never wanting for anything. The meat is served on plates for you to cook and the portions are large, excessively so in some cases. All of the meat is fresh and great quality and the sides are full of flavour.

I was sad that there wasn't a good variety of pickles here! The kimchi had a very strong fishy taste, which I didn't enjoy, and they didn't have any pickled radish. Their cucumbers were great but pickled radish is a must for me. The grill I think was the main issue. The grill wasn't hot enough to cook our Hawaiian steak and made it pretty tough to eat. Speaking of the Hawaiian steak, this was the choice of meat that I would reccomend staying away from. Not only was it tough and chewy, it had no "Hawaiian" flavor besides the pineapple that came on it. The meat was nothing to really complain about aside from that. The watermelon soju was alright. I like my drinks on the sweeter side but that's just me. My butt hurt like crazy at the end of our meal from the hard, metal chairs. It made sitting in the car for 2 hours afterward feel like a luxury.

Was a younger crowd in 20s/30s for the most part...food/sides were delicious..only thing that bothered me was at some point they turn down the lights and turn on the nightlife lights and music was played to loud making it difficult to have conversation. If I wanted to go to a club I would have gone..lol...but besides that great place. Have HUGE beer dispensers u can get for your group.

From the moment we arrived Will greeted us and made us feel at home. He made recommendations on what to get and helped us cook the meats to perfection. We will definitely be back. The meat quality is better than a la cart places. Thank you again Will.

It has been a couple times where my party and I have been dismissed at the entrance while waiting for a table. The atmosphere is very loud and almost like a club with beaming lights and sharp loud music. The quality of the meat is great but the timing of service is far too long and unprofessional. They only bring one round at a time and take about 15 minutes to come back with another meat. I have witnessed servers change their attitude at different tables with different guests. My table did not receive quality service in comparison to the other tables. It is very hard to wave at the servers for attention or help with ordering. They include the tip in your entire bill. I do not believe they deserve the amount of tip they included in the bill but there is nothing I can change about that. Ever since, I have found multiple other Korean barbecue spots I'd rather go to than this one because of this.

So we went in on Thur night with a couple friends to have a get together around 11 pm 1130, 1st they brought our check with out asking second the server said we had to pay cause they were closing down the registers then lastly around 12 17 pm the server said if we could leave cause they were closed mind you we still had a whole platter of bulgogi steak and more cuts left, establishment was extremely rude on how they went about the situation the bill was 300 plus and I defintely won’t be coming back here anymore beware we’re you spend your money

Popular among younger folks with a bit of a touristy feel, Moodaepo is the perfect Korean BBQ restaurant if you want to combine your carnivore activities with K-Pop. The menu selection and meat quality is good here. The banchon is also equally good too. Good service in recent times can be spotty, and be aware of inclusive tips and service charges for large groups. This is not really a place to enjoy a peaceful meal. The ambiance is high energy thus if you don't have the need to converse well with your dinner party then you can hide here easily while enjoying some good KBBQ.

The only thing I desappointed is they incluye a high tip with the check. They don't ask first or wait 'ntill we give.

The hygiene of the restaurant is very poor! The floor is very slippery like alcohol is not cleaned on the floor. The meat does not seem to be fresh.

The meats are top tier. The parking it sometimes really packed, but it paid valet. But everything from side to the bug selection of meets is awesome and the waiters are very attentive. Very well managed

Very popular place for good reason. The food is good and the price is reasonable. It's big and accommodate large groups but there's always a wait for dinner especially on weekends about 30 mins for a party of 4 on a Saturday. Love the the beef belly and short ribs. Don't sleep on the teriyaki chicken, so juicy, I'm pretty sure it's thigh meat. Cons: the chairs are not comfortable to sit it.

Not sure if it’s everyone’s experience, but check your bill, mine had a tip included as the charge (only 3 people went). Was going to tip , so I didn’t mind. However, when they give you that second signature paper, it gives you the option to re-tip (for the whole amount + previous tip) . Kinda sus. Just imagine coming out sauced.

Absolutely loved this place! We had a party of 16. They have a variety of ice cream in a small cup, had to get their mint chocolate chip! Food was great, there was free parking, but after a certain time it's valet so it took 10 mins to get out.

It's great. The new corn cheese item is pretty nice, as well as the brisket and striplion. I recommend going at noon as there is parking space. The spicy brisket got a nice kick to it.

This is not the first time we go to this place and every time they make us to pay for kids too full price in case that kids dont eat anything. So basically if you have 3 kids you pay for them but of course kids dont eat even the minimum from order ,it is extra charge. Also besides service fee that is included in your bill there is a also tip suggestion starting at 15 percent . What is a service charge ? So you have to pay double here too. I dont get that .

They charge 20% on your check I asked them to refill water on the table it was empty and server just brought 2 gars of water and didn’t even refill the water it’s about service and then I order watermelon 🍉 drink and told them we going to shred it and just put it down on table again it’s very poor service no attention adding tip I don’t might and I could doble the tip when service is excellent they can also cut your beef and server you instead of just walking around finally I don’t recommend this place
