Very disappointed. I recently moved near the Winn Dixie on 4th St. I saw the sign for this bistro and thought "how nice to have healthy options in my neighborhood. It looks like they have Wine and beers maybe as there seems to be an evening venue. I just wanted a coffee and a nice small pastry or quiche...I'm not a cupcake fan so I opted for the quiche, eggs, leeks? Or onion, spinach. First surprise..It was 19+.00 I almost choked....7.00 for the coffee. I requested cocoanut creamer. Maybe that why the coffee was over 7.00. The rest was for the Quiche..!! That was bad enough but the quiche was very small..almost shriveled. There was little or no taste and I really had to pry the pieces ...that quiche was several days old and wasn't served very warm. I am a vegan and I make quiche this was old.. I was so disappointed but I would not return nor would I. Recommend this place to anyone. My own coffee tastes great this beautiful morning.

Hailey was awesome. She took the time to look up the ingredients and tell us exactly how she made the bakery items. There are only whole ingredients and it is very clean. If in the area this is a must go to!

Great vegan and gluten free bakery (and basically any allergy-friendly) Been to 3 of the locations in Tampa Bay. Always satisfied. The only thing that could maybe be improved a bit is the donuts - but hey, I think they do pretty well considering the limitations they're working with!

I visited the Dale Mabry location today. Bought 4 cupcakes and a brookie. The woman helping me was not welcoming. Actually kind of rude. When I asked why I couldn’t put my goodies In the fridge she said “because we don’t use preservatives” and that was it as if I offended her for even asking. Now for the cupcakes…we have been gluten, dairy, and nut free for over 10 years so I have mastered baking. Recently we had to go egg free too and I have officially mastered that as well. The cupcakes and Brookie were gritty and dry almost like a sandpaper. I know baking without all the major allergens can be tough but it shouldn’t be gritty. Was very disappointed with the service and food.

I know good gluten free ia hard to do but selling 3 donuts for just under $20 and them being white cake baked in donut shaped molds is crazy and embarrassing to try to sell. Frozen stuff from sprouts and whole foods is wayyyy better and cheaper.

This used to love their cupcakes! The brownie and donuts were good, but often dry for me. The price was high for the dessert, but it was an occasional yummy treat. My last visit I got 2 cupcakes and 1 brownie. The price increase was one thing... $18 for only 3 items 😳 but to make it worse, BOTH cupcakes were so dry and stale! I was told the brownie was good but I didn't try it. But 2 out of 3 were really bad and overpriced! I'm honestly disappointed in this because if I'm paying a premium price, I expect a premium product.

what happened to the prices here? i get that gluten free costs more wherever u go, but i came here last year and got a donut for $4. just went today and didnt get my receipt printed so i'm not sure how much each thing cost on its own, but under no circumstances should a bottle of water and a donut be costing me close to $12 😬 if the prices rose this much in less than a year, then i'm scared to see how they'll continue to rise. the 'donuts' are just gluten free cake anyway, not resembling donuts besides the shape, so i guess i'll buy some gf cake mix bc unfortunately i cant afford to keep coming here 💔

Halelife has a great selection and everything is dedicated gluten free and vegan! Their cosmic brownie donuts and blueberry donuts are amazing. Staff are always so friendly and willing to answer any questions and they are very informed about allergens. The only downside is that the location I go to doesn't have coffee so if you're craving coffee with your donuts pick some up on the way. But it's a cute atmosphere and amazing food, I'll definitely be back. 😊

My family and I frequent here often- I have a 4yr old that loves going to the bakery of off Dale Mabry but lately we've have noticed that the loaf of white sandwich bread hasn’t been in stock lately (this is going on 3 wks now…). I’ve asked different employees about if the product has been discontinued and have been told no and was also told that other customers have been complaining but management hasn’t made any changes. As a parent that’s trying to stay away from tons of sugar, the desserts offered are great but some of us are missing the regular products.

Most expensive donut I have ever had and the driest donut as well. Cake style donut, the chocolate wasn’t as dry but the blueberry was bad not a lot of flavor and VERY dry. I was disappointed. They definitely take advantage of the fact that they are one of the only vegan bakery’s around. I’m assuming that’s how they can charge so much for donuts that aren’t worth anything.

Overall, very disappointing experience from the initial phone call to ultimately receiving the cake for my wife’s 40th birthday. Too many details to mention but I was provided frosting and dye along with my cake to write happy birthday myself. I was told to go to Publix and that their bakery could write on the cake for me. Called the Publix bakery in Wesley Chapel and they carry a company policy to not touch other baked goods from outside their company. Hale life bakery charges $120 for a smaller vegan cake. I would expect better from them. At the store they could see my disappointment in my face and offered me a $20 credit. Again, very disappointing Update: the owner called me and we worked through the mishap. Thank you!

I came here because of the rave reviews but as a vegan baker I was disappointed. Upon entry, there was a horrible odor. I’m assuming a pipe must’ve burst but the entire place smelled like sewage. I ignored that since the place was clean and I assumed it was out of their control. I order five different items. I took a few bites of my cupcake and it was flavorless but super sweet and dry. I have a sensitive stomach so about 15 mins later I was cramping up from the amount of sugar. When I got home I tried the doughnut, same issue but it tasted like a biscuit to me. I ended up throwing my box on the garbage. Maybe these items have to be fresh to enjoy it’s true essence.

We got a half-dozen assorted treats box and an Oreo doughnut to munch on. While it was so great to have a lot of options, everything was very dense, so it was almost as if the quantity was bigger than what we wanted, and therefore the price was more than we would have liked.

Beautiful shop, tastefully decorated, and a delicious selection of snacks, sweets, and breads. Wish there was o e over in Brandon/Riverview area, but thankfully, this is close enough to the crosstown. Ultra friendly staff and everything you see, whether food items or decoration looks appealing. Sparkling clean, too! Just baked the frozen baguette to have with dinner, looks amazing, and if it tastes half as good as the goodies themselves, it will definitely be more than worth the drive from Riverview!

I think I should state, their products are good. Expensive, but good. No real issues with the pricing, I know what to expect. What does bother me, and just not here is the ridiculous tipping policy. Why would I tip 20% for a guy who packs my $100 worth of donuts. What did he do, turnaround and box up something. I wish these places would either get rid of the tipping, make it reasonable, $1, $2, $5, etc. Pay them more money, whatever. Maybe I am just old, but it's going to hurt these types of places long term and make employees feel they earn 20% for literally doing their job.

I honestly don’t know how to put into words how amazing HaleLife Bakery is. As someone with severe food allergies, it’s hard to find dining locations with stellar food options. But HaleLife somehow sprinkles pixie dust on every baked good they create, because it tastes absolutely incredible. Easily the best bakery I’ve ever been to! Their cookies, especially the apple pie one, are out of this world!! And to top it all off, they somehow make the absolute best focaccia bread! (And that’s saying something; my girlfriend is Italian! In HEAVEN. Been wanting to come here since I moved to Florida a year and a half ago. My son finally had a tournament in Tampa and I got my opportunity. I’ve been celiac and lactose intolerant for the last twelve years and it incredible finding somewhere you can safely indulge in FRESH BAKED treats you haven’t had in years. I’m not a big sweets person but the cupcakes were perfect. Light, fluffy, not too sweet. Loaded up on treats for the team and frozen baking to take home. Had some focaccia bread when I got home and it is a must. Can’t wait to bake the cinnamon rolls. Not only are the treats Devine, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We will definitely be back !!!

My husband and I are both vegans and are are very impressed with this 100% vegan/allergy friendly bakery. They have a variety of breads, cupcakes, cookies, dounts, and made to order hot food. We loved everything we had there so far. It has a clean and welcoming interior. Staff are very helpful and will answer any questions you have. Their prices are a bit higher than at a standard bakery but thats because the ingrediants cost more and are of very high quality. I'm eating some hot oven baked bread right now dipped in olive oil, nutritional yeast, rosemary, thyme, and a pinch of sea salt. Yum!!!

I love that this is a vegan and gluten free bakery, but it’s very pricey for the mediocre products. Maybe that’s because of the area that it is in, but we got a half dozen of donuts, two breakfast sandwiches and a couple of frozen cheesy bread roll packages (which had very little cheese and hardly any flavor), and that cost a little over $80. The donuts were pretty good, more like a cake though.

After lunch, I googled "dessert near me" and found myself in front of this Vegan bakery. Instead of leaving, I thought it would be interesting to let all my non-vegan, non-gluten free and non-allergy suffering friends and followers know how this type of dessert tastes. You know what, it's delicious. I am amazed at how good everything is. I'm not sure why I did not expect it, just naive I guess. Some of the chocolate tasted a bit different to what I am accustomed but not in a bad way. Pricing is a little steep, but no more than other sweet shops like Dough. It also is much better than grocery store fare. A small shop in a small strip center on South Dale Mabry. Who knew??

I randomly developed a severe gluten sensitivity in my mid-twenties and thought I would never be able to eat a gd donut again — thanks to Hale Life I finally found a place that lets me indulge without suffering consequences. Pro-tip: Sign up for their loyalty program and enjoy a free treat for your bday. Pro-tip (cont.): Devour at least two donuts in your car, in the parking lot.
