Too expensive, old bread the burger taste weird like old. I feel sorry this is the older Newark Brazilian burger.

I loved Hamburg, I was a constant customer even though the quality of their burgers had declined. Today was the last thing. I arrived with a group of friends since I had recommended it seeing that it says it closes at 12am. We arrived at 10:50pm, they told us in the Entrance only for take away with a very heavy attitude although the group says we eat quickly, the most hateful ones say only for take away! Obviously there are more places and thanks to that I will not return nor recommend anyone else.

This is a small place but I love this location. Don’t hesitate to come here, all the servers are si nice and attentive. The food is amazing and even for pick up order, they give you the best customer service. Don’t take a drive to the Kearny location because you will regret it. Management is not welcoming. Newark location is amazing and clean.

Eeww!!! Purchased "coxinhas" yesterday, tasteless and no chicken! What is that? Horrible filling! This place used to be great. What happened to the delicious appetizers? Did they change the recipes? Staff is polite and dining room is clean. Food is not what used to be.

Great Brazilian sandwiches and friendly staff.

We were a group of 14 people and they very kindly did their best to seat us together. The waitress was very kind to give us recommendations, patient when taking the orders and also bringing the food at the same time. The food was delicious, the cappuccino was also very good. They allowed us to pay however best suited us.

Terrible customer service, lack of responsibility with services like Uber eats. I do not recommend.

The salgadinos are so poorly made, no flavor, the oil they are fried in old. Coxinha with no chicken, and the little chicken has no greens inside... all masa, they just care about making money. Too bad, can not recommend.

Honestly didn’t pay attention to the drinks and it was a small no sugar drink for like $5 the drink was small like McDonalds small cups. The burger was alright and I assume the bill was gonna be like $25-30 but it added up to almost $50. Two burgers $20+ and two drinks $10… now there was tax like $2 and there was “force tip” I didn’t want to tip so they forced it without me noticing it. 😐 So again I assume the bill was gonna be $25-30 but no the bill was close to $50. They only speak Portuguese no English and maybe a little Spanish. Be careful with this place 😐 it’s only meant for one person 🫠

you can’t beat the original hamburgao. still the best burger spot around and so much better than the one in kearny!

Honestly, there's not much to say besides the best burger I've had in a very long time. The Cheese Tudo arguably has taken my throne for best burger in the area. Always open to suggestions though.

I had a sandwich which was similar to a cheese tudo, a popular burger in Brazil with egg, ham, cheese, bacon, shoestring potatoes and a few other ingredients but the one I had was with a steak instead of a burger and it was pretty tasty and the size was decent. For desert I had a carrot cake in a cup with melted brigadeiro which is a type of Brazilian chocolate and it was also good. I ordered over the phone and picked up my order 15 mins later. The sandwich was $12 and it included a soda can. It was Friday’s special. Each day of the week there’s a different special (see photo of the menu). The cake was around $3.50. The restaurant has many tables if you want to dine in but it’s in a busy area near Ferry st so good luck finding parking!

Best burgers in town. In my opinion of course. I've been there many times and still enjoy the burgers and coxinhas as the first day.

Today was my first time ever coming here and I will definitely be coming back! The Hamburgao with picanha was amazing, definitely a little messy, but totally worth it! The inside was really clean and the ladies were very friendly. Definitely don’t let the location stop you from checking it out, best $12 burger you’ll ever spend!

The restaurant is small but personal. The service is fast and friendly...and staff speaks portugese. The food was delicious and big portions. If your hungry this is the place to get a delicious hamburger Brazilian style.

Staff can be incredibly rude and will not take you order or hang up in your face if you don't speak Portuguese. The burgers are decent and when a staff member is willing to do their job the food comes quickly.

Y llegué a casa y lo abrí y era carne de res, pero estaba incompleto (sin lechuga, sin papas fritas, sin huevo, sin jamón) como un sándwich normal por el que es conocido. Los llamé y el gerente es grosero al decir que tengo que volver a la tienda para volver, pero le pregunto si puedo hacer que me lo entreguen, ya que fue su error. Dijo que no tenía que venir y le dije que tenía a mi ahijado conmigo, que no puedo sacarlo así o dejarlo. Entonces dijo que supongo que no podemos hacer nada. Así que dije que eres grosero y dijiste que eras el gerente y así es como hablas con tus clientes. And I got home and I open it and it was beef but it was incomplete ( no lettuce, no Little fries, no egg,no ham) like a regular sandwich that is known for. I called them and the manager is rude that I have to go back to the store to return but I ask him can I get it delivered since it was their mistake. He said no to have to come and I told him I have my godson with me I can’t be taking him out like this or leaving him. So then he said then I guess we can’t do nothing. So I said you are rude and you said you the manager and this is how you speak to your customers. Like I told him I will speak to my contacts that I have with city because this is not the first time that he has spoken to me Boa noite, fui ao Hamburgao Newark para pedir um sanduíche de frango. E eu cheguei em casa e abri e era carne bovina, mas estava incompleta (sem alface, sem batatas fritas, sem ovo, sem presunto) como um sanduíche comum que é conhecido. Liguei para eles e o gerente é rude por eu ter que voltar à loja para voltar, mas pergunto a ele se posso entregá-lo, já que foi erro deles. Ele disse não para ter que vir e eu disse a ele que tenho meu afilhado comigo, não posso levá-lo assim ou deixá-lo. Então ele disse que acho que não podemos fazer nada. Então eu disse que você é rude e você disse que é o gerente e é assim que você fala com seus clientes. Como eu disse a ele, vou falar com meus contatos que tenho com a cidade, porque esta não é a primeira vez que ele fala comigo

Horrível o atendimento, pedi delivery duas vezes lá, na primeira esqueceram um pudim, porém depois me trouxeram, na segunda esqueceram dois refrigerantes e não atenderam mais o telefone pra eu poder avisar

This is the place you go to when you have no idea what you want to eat. It's pricey and the burgers are more bread than anything. I can make a better burger.

This is a great down to earth type of place. Nice people. The food is very generous and filling. I got a steak hamburger with hams and eggs. It was tremendous and very delicious. If you are looking for a simple, no fluff place, this is it. It's very reasonable and you get a lot of food. Enjoy

Not terrible but over priced and definitely not my first burger spot of choice. The hamburger patty’s are thin, visibly cheap and over cooked which make them tough to chew. Also I asked for extra mayo on my husbands burger and no exaggeration, there was so much mayo on the burger it’s like they poured the jar on it - I had to remove it with napkins.

Nothing like a delicious brazilian style burger when passing through the ironbound section of newark. My favorite is the Cheese X tudo which is their cheese burger with all their toppings. Really want something special then switch the tudo for picanha which replaces the burger patty for a piece of brazilian top sirloin. DELICIOUS

Three people in the front talking... From the 3 people one girl came to attend me, she got my order, put away start clean the tables and the floor, than she went to put order in the computer, I order a picanha sandwich, the meat I had to as for fork and knife to be able to eat, first time and last time. Customer service no good.

Worst customer service! Gues or whatever his name is had the audacity to tell me that it wasn't his fault I was forgetful when they were the ones who forgot one of my orders in the first place! Never more! I only buy here because the one across the street is always busy but never more!

This place has really good burgers but if they say they’re going to close at 12am don’t try to tell us that they close at 10pm that’s not fair because we just got out of a jersey devils game and the game was over at 10 so we’re expecting the restaurant to be open until 12am !!

Love this place. Been coming here for YEARS! Came tonight after a Red Bull game and waited the longest for two burgers, chicken fingers fries. And not even a busy night! Meanwhile my self and three kids watched sandwiches being served; dine in and take out. It was definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve had here … unfortunately, very disappointed tonight w them. Probably not coming back because of the lack of responsibility or care after their mistakes. Truly disappointed

Experiência ruim, comprei coxinha i que parecia estar ali por horas, tava fria e seca, e ao abrir o recheio era pura batata amassada e pokinho frango, nem sente sabir a frango e sim batata, poxa passei por nwk apenas larancpmprar e dar a minha filha e nem ela criança quiz, joguei fora pq akilo, a gente paga caro pra ter algo de qualidade ruim, aumentou o preço e a qualidade sumiu, a torta d errando tbm, muito our de batata e ondepaco antes era normal, hk eles diminuíram pela metade rs, o depldaconficou vergonhoso, o pedaço q era antes hj eh metdade ou menos, vergonha amburgqo, ser miserável com tamanhos e aind sem qualidade, não volto mais e cuidado quer for aí 👎👎🤡🤡

I love this place. I've been eating there for years since I've lived in Newark and have never been disappointed. Brazilian eateries can be hit or miss, but this lanchonete style restaurant has nice hamburgers, Brazilian croquettes and pastries, sweets and desserts, and the trendy açai. Their coxinhas are some of the best around, as are their kibes. They have good pastéis and rissoles as well. Try the X-tudo, the burger with everything in it...beef, ham, bacon, mozzarella, egg, corn, potato sticks, lettuce, tomato, mayo and ketchup...it's huge and delicious.

#1: authentic acai. Haven't been able to find it without some silly American twist so i usually make it at home. This place does it right. This is the main reason I come here. I have had a sandwich here and it was awesome. The number 1 (bife filet) was huge and had all the flavors I love. This place is dangerously close to work so I have to limit how often I go or find some of their "healthy" options. I highly recommend Hamburgao

Service is terrible. Waited over an half an hour just to get a burger and it wasn’t even that busy in there. People who came after us started getting their food even though we ordered before them.

One of the best Hamburger on newark

Very thin sliver of chicken. Barely any meat on my sandwich. Somewhat greasy. Sandwich was not worth $12. Note, price online and in the reviews are not what they are. They're double - sandwiches are around $11-$15. Orange juice is $5. Watch out for your bill! They automatically added their own tip on top of the tip that you add on the tip line item without telling you even though I paid at the counter and threw away my own garbage.

the food is very good there. The bad thing is that you have to wait up to more than 30 minutes for your order, even when the place is empty. It is good that everything is fresh, but they should at least provide water to beat the long wait. Oh God🥵🥵

I Ordered take out. 2 burgers and fries. They forgot and the order took 40 mins as opposed to 10mins. Secondly and even worse both burgers had a ton of mayo on them. Like gushing out the sides of every bite. After 3 bites I threw it away. My girls burger was soaked in mayo as well. She likes mayo and it was way to much for her as well.

First time ordering a Brazilian style Burger and was pleasantly surprised. Food was cooked as per my request, very tasty and delivered on time. Friendly delivery guy. Would order again!

My husband and I order two sandwiches and two orders of chicken nuggets for my kids they bring me the sandwiches and just the French fries for my order well my kids start to eating the French fries ten minutes later the waiter bring me chicken wings and we don’t want to make troubles for that just we take that but my kids doesn’t eating this, just we deciding to take out the chicken wings maybe my older son want to eating them in home we tell the waiter we want the chicken wings for to go he took the plate and never come back my husband go to the register for pay the check and ask for the order to go and the waiter say he trow away the chicken wings ( was a full order my kids don’t eat anything of these ) I can’t understand how he think we don’t want this how he can’t hear us when we say we want for to go .we finish pay 56 bucks for two sandwiches and two orders of French fries we choose just to leave because if we start to complain is gone to take a lot of time and for the kids just we want to go home but never come back to this place .

Las hamburguesas son extremadamente grandes y buenas. Sin duda alguna las recomiendo. Te atienden muy bien te sirven la comida rápido y sobre tordo no tiene precios altos sino muy razonables. Regresaré y las recomiendo a todo el mundo si te gusta una hamburguesa grande como las de 🇪🇨 este es el lugar 👌

You have to wait a long time for your food! I asked them how long does it take to prepare the food they told me 15 mins! I came to pick up after 25 mins still was not ready (i placed only one hamburger) had to wait around 15 more mins! Quality was so and so!
