Rustic, fun place for lunch plus ice cream!

Great ice cream. The baby cone is two huge scoops. They will split the cones up if you ask.

Fun place to visit with great burgers and shakes

I've been visiting here since I was a little girl. The burgers are just as delicious as I remember and the ice cream is perfection. The only problem is everyone else figured out how great this place is too and now I have to wait 😝 while part of it is nostalgia for me, mostly it's messy, good greasy food and summer sunshine warming my skin while I wait. Don't expect frills, don't expect fancy accomodations. A group of very hard working teens keep that Haus going all summer long. Also, don't wander off after you put your order in so the staff have to repeatedly yell your name, and then complain your food is cold. Dont be that person. Just enjoy the smell and the food and the moment.

A fun family experience! Had dinner and ice cream. The ice cream cones were huge and we only ordered the smallest size. We will certainly eat there again.

Great stop through the Kettle Moraine area. Located at the Southern tip of Long Lake in Dundee. You can't see the lake, but there is a small mill pond park behind. Best local Burger. Double cheese burger hit the spot just fine! Awesome shake and fries. Order ahead for super quick service. Great staff! GREAT BURGERS. Shakes, and other sweets too. Local Hit!

This is a small but wonderful walk-up restaurant and ice cream parlor. It is cash only, so make sure you come prepared! It was also very busy and they have limited panic table seating. They have a very nice selection of sides such as fries, rings, nachos, etc. They also offer various burgers and toppings, hot dogs, etc. Please rake note when ordering ice cream. If you order a single, it is actually two HUGE scoops of your choice of ice cream. If you just want a single scoop, ask for a baby cone. It's a lot bigger than it sounds!

We love the Hamburger Haus it doesn’t matter if there’s a long wait or not the food is the best!!! Great prices, Kid friendly and dog friendly! The staff are always friendly going above and beyond even though they are stressed from all the orders! We always have a fun time with the family! Just a perfect little spot to get a great hamburger and Ice Cream in the Kettles. You have to love a small, not fancy, neighborly place. Can get crowded, but everyone enjoys the atmosphere. Bring cash.

Great place for a summer burger and ice cream

We made a special trip from over 30 minutes away because a guy at work mentioned how good the burgers were. We weren't disappointed! Small up north summer vacation town vibes reminded me of my childhood. The only thing we weren't prepared for was that this place is cash only.

I've been coming to the Hamburger Haus since I was little and while it's changed owners over the years, absolutely nothing else has changed and it's awesome! The have the best burgers and ice cream anywhere in the state!

Hamburger Haus is the classic, must stop outdoor hamburger joint. The hamburgers are great and many people like the sides, like cheese curds and onion rings. AND, don’t forget the huge ice cream cones!

I love going to Hamburger Haus. Have been going here since I was a kid. I recommend the cheese curds and ice cream. Friendly staff and pretty quick service. Only downside is cash only but I always come prepared! Reasonable prices too. Edit~ still My favorite place ever! I remember coming here with my grandparents when I was just a kid. Definitely get the cheese curds with ranch. Yummy. They're the best! I've been coming here with my daughters for years. Highly recommend! Spring 2024 edit~ went here on opening day. Food was delicious. Friendly staff and quick service. I will definitely be going back there a few times this season. Riding a bike from Zilmer trail to Dundee is lovely!

If you like a baby 2 scoop ice cream cone, and you are longing for a triple-scoop single, go here! This place is only open during the warm days of summer, if you go on a day with hardly a customer in line, you struck gold... as this place is packed.

If you are into hidden gems this place is 5 Karat beauty. A small shack off the well worn path with only a walk up order window. People come from miles around and stand in line for excellent burgers, deep fried cheese curds, ice cream treats and other delicious "burger joint" fare. Don't miss it.

Fast & affordable with generous portions, especially their ice cream scoops! We stopped here for lunch before a 3-day backpacking trip on the Ice Age Trail. We liked it so much that we decided to come back again after finishing the hike!

Food is always great! Prices are super cheap and friendly staff. It is a very busy little place so be prepared to wait. The line is usually long and takes time for the food but the staff works their hardest! There are picnic tables available but can be full so you could always bring your own chairs to set up around the area. Burgers and steak sandwiches are so good and on an awesome bun! Appetizers are always yummy and ice cream sizes are sooo big! We love the Hamburger Haus.

It's awfully close to the road, which isn't necessarily their fault but it does make it loud. The line gets really long but they do seem to work quickly. The ice cream cones are HUGE but they don't have a ton of flavors to choose from. Still a fun stop when in the area.

When I came to this restaurant and it was pretty busy. It has a cute setup outside with benches with tables. Unfortunately, it started raining and there aren't many covered tables. The girls working were not very friendly. I ordered the cheeseburger special, which included fries and a drink. The cheeseburger was cold and not that appetizing. The fries were good, and I ordered cheese curds, which were alright. The ice cream is good. The smallest size is baby, and that is two huge scoops! Cash only

Cash only! Great small town stop outside of Kettle Moraine State park. Food gives a backyard cookout feel with some frozen appretizer items like mozzarella sticks and cheese curds, which is ok/good, but the huge icecream scoops more than make up for what the food "could be".

The ice cream was amazing and generous. The burger was OK. I asked them the size and she made a shape with her hand. I said no, the weight. They came back and said 1/16th?? They were pretty thin so I'm guessing they are smaller than a quarter pound. The sheboygan hard roll was a nice touch. Just OK good. Ice cream made the trip worth it alone.

Rustic buger joint with tremendous food, friendly staff, and Cedar Crest ice cream served with love(and much effort scooping it out of a below zero ice cream freezer). You'll spend most of an afternoon in line, but it's well worth it.

Got to love it! Can be a little wait but a good burger at a decent price. Try to stop when we are in the kettle moraine area. If your in a hurry keep driving.

It's a long wait but all the food was very good and the ice cream was absolutely delicious.

Burgers are fantastic, but the steak sandwich is just a chopped steak patty, not a normal steak. It was good but the burger was better. Order a smaller ice cream than you expect because the serving size is larger than expected.

This place is amazing. Possibly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The line was LONG but worth the wait! My husband has had this place on his list of places to visit and it did not disappoint! The kids loved the burger and hot dog too. Cheese fries were great. The “Baby Scoop” is ginormous, kids couldn’t finish! I would have taken pictures but we devoured it too quickly. Highly recommend.

Really great, affordable food. They were steadily busy, but they must be well staffed, and the place run like a well-oiled machine, because our food and ice cream were ready very quickly.

The one thing that is frustrating is that the line is long, hard to find place to park And it would be nice to have a ice cream only ordering window. I think that would help immensely with the long line

There is no better place to visit on a hot summer day or after a day of swimming at Mauthe Lake. Burgers are delicious, and the baby cone is two scoops high. Cash only, and the line can get long sometimes, but there aren't many places like it.

It's a cute little hamburger shack in Dundee. Food was hot and fresh. Employees were great. Lots of picnic tables to sit at in front and behind the building. They offer EIGHT flavors of Cedar Crest ice cream each day! (A flavor may be rotated out as it sells.) Great little place with great food!

We went out on a really busy day, waited about 20 min to order and about 15 min for food but it was worth it. Really cheap prices and the cedar crest ice cream is the best.
