Delicious flavors! Even when your kid says let's switch 🤣

Limited street parking available and lines form quickly, but definitely check this spot out! My partner and I got the Pineapple and Fruit Punch flavors. The pineapple tasted like real pineapple - not artifical syrup. The fruit punch tasted heavily of passion fruit - not my personal favorite but I still ate most of it. The pricing was really good, they offer a bunch of flavors and toppings, and even a commemorative plastic cup you can purchase for a little extra (prices in pics). I just wish the flavor signs were a bit clearer and easier to read, and you could view them all in one place.

What can you say, it's Hansen's, it's the greatest. Worth the line every time.

This is an old school sno-ball shop, and absolutely AMAZING! no matter what you get I promise you won't be disappointed, and they take cash or card, check them out.

Every once in awhile you go somewhere you've never been and you taste something truly quite special. The ice is shaved just like it were a soft snow, layered with the most delicious syrups that you can see are home made. It doesn't have ice chunks like other snowballs so you easily just savor it. Definitely a magical spot in NOLA.

Best snowball I've had. I got limeade with condensed milk. The ice is finely shaven and the flavors are incredibly accurate.

You have to try them. Vert small family owned spot with some great snow cones and ice cream. The prices are very affordable. There was a very long line outside. They are very small inside but it was worth the wait. I will definitely go back when visiting NO.

Simply the best snowball ever!!! Once you have a Hansen's you just don't want any other snowball as the Hansen's ice is the best thing ever!!! They make all their own flavors and focus on quality. I usually get one of the delicious tart flavors or coconut and actually there are a few of the regular flavors I'm actually not very fond of. If you want a completely different experience get one of their cream flavors and then the snowball takes on the characteristic of an ice cream cone that banged a snowball which then gave birth to the cream flavor snowball! The regular strawberry flavor here really doesn't taste good to me while the cream strawberry is awesome and has real chunks of strawberry in it so definitely make a point of trying a cream flavored option at some point! The only bad thing is the sometimes very long line in the very hot heat as they don't have air conditioning here. I experienced heaven on earth multiple times over. This place is so good my regret is I didn’t come every single day I was in town and I ordered a small. Well, I won’t make those mistakes next time. Thank you Hansens for a joyful delightful experience that is one of my most memorable. I am So Glad this was not a regular snow cone this is so much different and the flavors are divinely crafted. I almost didn’t make it here well if you’re visiting the city don’t skip this spot. This place deserves all the praise and great reviews. I hope it continues to thrive for everyone to enjoy. I wish it existed throughout the South. It’s truly one of a kind.

We are avid Pelican Snoball fans but when on the south shore ya gotta try to “best” right? We went on a Saturday afternoon. There was a line around the building, there were about 12 people in front of us when we go to the line. There was a group in front of us of about 6 people. 5 more people walked up and got in line with those people. Behind us there were about 10 people. We didn’t say anything, however keep in mind we are standing in the sun. After about 5 more minutes a group of 6 or 7 people walked up and tried to get in front of us with the group. My husband spoke up and asked them to go to the back of the line. I don’t know how they thought that was ok. One of them said well we all rode together. Well maybe yall should all get into the line together. It’s not fair to everyone else waiting. Anywayyyy we were in line about 15-20 min. My hubby got the strawberry shortcake with condensed milk and strawberry puree, I got the cafe au lait stuffed with vanilla ice cream and topped with condensed milk. Mine was the BOMB. The ice melts in your moth, just the right consistency and the flavor was great. My hubby’s on the other hand lacked major flavor. It tasted like the syrup they used was watered down. So I think it was just a bad choice in flavor but how were we to know. He ended up throwing it away ☹️

Definitely one of the best snoballs in NOLA! The Sno-Bliz flavor and the satsuma flavor were both delicious. The ice is so incredibly soft here! My only complaint is the line here. I went on a weekday afternoon and still had to wait over 30 min in the blazing heat for a small snoball. It’s worth the wait to try it, but that’s a lot for me everytime I want a snoball. I hope they open another location or expand to meet demand!

Hansen's is the ultimate classic and our favorite sno ball shop. Ashley, the owner is kind and friendly. All of the new and specialty flavors don't use artificial coloring and they are so creative and delicious! A must go when you're in town during sno ball season

We walked from the St Charles streetcar line which was about 11 blocks. Nice neighborhood. First in line and the snowballs were everything that we had been told. Outstanding!!!

All of the sno balls were amazing but the sugarfree cream of strawberry and watermelon were soooo good. The watermelon was very refreshing.

Hansen's has the best snow balls in New Orleans! They make their syrups in house. I recommend the satsuma! I always make sure to bring my friends and family here when they pass through town!

Best sno-ball/ sno-cone me and the family have ever had . They’ve been there a long time and for good reason. They pay attention to the details tons of flavor in every sno-ball. Takes a while to get through the line but it is worth the wait.

Stood in the rain in a super long line for my first try of Hansen's and I'd travel the world and do it again any time

I saw online they were open yesterday (Friday) and when I went back to see if they were open today(Saturday)it said they were temporarily closed. I messaged them on instagram to double check if that was accurate and they responded letting me know that they were open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-6. So unfortunate this is my first time here and was so excited to try them just for them to not be open when I got there.

Extremely cheap and flavorful. What more could you ask for? Can't go wrong with any of the cream options. Ask the staff for recs. A few big benches to sit on outside on the side of the building. Add condensed milk to anything you get

The best. A small part of me wishes I had never went to Hansen’s so I wouldn’t have to think about the most perfect creation I had, a Satsuma and Ginger-Cayenne. It was so perfect, sweet and spicy. My husband and daughter loved their’s too, but mine was the best, by far. I went home and bought a shaved ice machine, but our snow will never be as fluffy and the flavors will never be as good.

A local favorite, this stand makes their own ice shaving machines and syrups! A must see and taste!

They were good and the ice is super soft which I love especially considering I just had 4 teeth pulled the line was long but they moved very fast and it was super affordable and good taste as well I would recommend it

I think all the 5 star reviews speak for themselves but I can honestly say, this was THE BEST snow cone I’ve ever had in my 36 years! The ice is so perfectly shaved and the favors they have are true and not a bunch of sugar mixed with artificial flavors and colors. This place is a diamond in the rough. There was a line but after getting our snow cones, I totally understand why. It was worth the wait!

This is the place to beat this god aweful heat, with weekly special flavors and a plethora of everyday great flavors to tease your taste buds and a/c that stomach... Just don't forget the toppings, condensed milk is my favorite!

This place has always been the go-to spot for snowballs. They now have 2 machines and the line flows fast. Will always return for another snowball on a hot day.

So many options, so good when it’s 100 degrees outside. There are menus and prices, but they’re kind of winging it. It’ll be like $5-10 a person depending on what you get, all good. I had orange dreamsicle, which was vanilla bean syrup, orange cream syrup, cream of ice cream syrup(?) and sooooo good. Others in the group had blueberry cream with ice cream on top, cream of coconut, strawberry, and lime / raspberry.
