One of a kind type of place. Angie, Scott, the food and the regulars are all the reasons I can’t wait to come back. Best Foie Gras I’ve ever had and best Venison I’ve ever had. Everything was amazing. I was in town for work, trying a new place just for fun, ate at the bar solo and had the best food and the best time. Thanks again, Angie and Scott! I will be back!

I’ve ate at several high end restaurants over the years and none of them held a candle to Harold’s. To start off, the food was unlike anything I’ve had before with how different flavors were paired together and how unexpecting all the flavors just seemed to go together. Secondly the service was unbelievable. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and during our dinner the owner (chef) came to our table and asked us how our meal was going. It was such a kind simple gesture that you don’t see a lot nowadays with restaurants. And finally our server was curious why we were there that night and we told her it was our anniversary. So when our dessert was brought out they added a little candle to each dessert for us to celebrate. Just kind simple gestures like that leave a lasting impression and is the reason why my wife and I will be repeat customers. When you go to dinner you go for an experience and this was an unbelievable experience for us.

Where do I begin! The outside appeal definitely doesn’t the inside, my significant and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary. Our server was Heather, if you have the ability to request her you will not be disappointed! We enjoyed speciality entrees since there are a few core entrees that never leave. Definitely expanded the palette in the best way! Beverages top tier as well, actually all of it was. I couldn’t have asked for a better dinner experience and look forward to coming here again, the atmosphere was the perfect date night. As a customer I would never want to be rushed in a restaurant setting and that was so relaxing and a breathe of fresh air. I wish I could put 100 stars!

Jeanie is the best server we've had in a very long time. She was friendly and attentive, and really made us feel special on our anniversary. Honest cocktails, (a great sazerac), personalized charcuterie board, great bolognese and the ahi tuna is almost indescribably delicious. Topped off with the espresso martini chocolate creme Brule was out of this world! Can't wait to visit again!

Spent the evening here for our 25th anniversary dinner. Was told by friends that this was the place to go. We arrived and with plenty of tables open we were seated right next to a loud table of obnoxious people not being respectful of the restaurant. When our meals arrived the grouper was over cooked by what seemed by the heat lamp as it was dried out and lacked flavor. The service was fine and attentive. Overall this was a disappointing dinner for a special evening. In the end my wife was ready to go home and we just skipped dessert all together. Maybe you have to be local or over 75yrs to appreciate this restaurant.

Perfect way to celebrate our 59th Wedding Anniversary! The food was excellent. The flavors subtle and creative. Our server was attentive, enjoyable, informative. One of the highlights of the evening was a visit to the table from the Chef. He gifted us with our choice of one of his delightful desserts. This Anniversary was truly well spent at Harold's.

An absolute GRAND SLAM of a restaurant in Fort Myers, FL. It's been quite a few years since I went to Harold's for dinner, and safe to say it's only gotten better. The creativity chef has with the menu, paired with the attentive and friendly service team has my husband and I trying to find excuses to go back to Fort Myers to visit this restaurant. Not only was the food top-notch (every single dish was perfectly seasoned and balanced) but they were amazing with our toddler as well. If you're looking for a phenomenal fine dining experience, this is it!

We had dinner there last night. After reading reviews and hearing many talk about Harold’s we were very excited to try. I am not sure what we are missing. After reading rave reviews our experience was mediocre at best. As soon as we arrived we were seated immediately. Which was fantastic since the place was packed and there was no standing room or seats at the bar. We sat at table a bit too long before we were approached with a server. My dirty martini was just ok. Could have been a lot colder. The appetizer we got was amazing. A tenderloin of beef with wonderful flavor. The last end bite was very raw and too chewy but I was looking forward to the rest of the meal after those flavors. Soup needed salt and/or pepper which we had to ask for. My arugula salad was good. I had the halibut my husband the tuna. Both were underwhelming and lacked any flavor. Halibut with what was I believe a potato purée was just too much mush. I ate it all it was not terrible but not anything I would want again. My husband thought the tuna looked amazing and then said it was just okay. The 2 pieces of bread came I. An impressive display but again 2 room temp not great bread. We both had dessert. Key lime pie and crème brûlée. Same as the rest of dinner. In my opinion it just lacked flavor. The staff was kind but I felt like the serving of food was very abrupt All service lacked much time or personal attention. The restaurant was clean and filled with customers. I wish it had been a better experience. We love good food fancy or home cooking. We are happy to pay for a good Mel no matter the cost. As long as it is good and fresh. I have had worse meals for sure and I had very high hopes. But for a $00 meal I was disappointed. The chef did come out to check on us. I was in the restroom. But I don’t know that I would have said all this. I needed to absorb it and think about it. I definitely think it is worth trying. And there is a chance we will try again but I would have to be convinced. I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO GIVE YOU ANOTHER SHOT MAYBE WHEN THE MENU CHANGES. THANK YOU.

What a fabulous find! Harold’s came highly recommended to us from close friends and did not disappoint. Let’s start with the service, Heather was amazing! Full of insight on the menu items and wine list, she walked us through all of it. She was pleasant and paid just the right amount of attention! Kudos! We split the arugula salad, my wife had the salmon and I feasted on the wagyu beef, both cooked to perfection and amazing! Harold stopped by to say “hello” and informed us that the dessert items were to die for, he wasn’t wrong. Strawberry shortcake for me, a nice slice of cheesecake for my bride. We left the place with full and happy stomach’s and a desire to return. With only a few weeks left before our trek north for the summer, we will find some friends and return once more! Harold and Heather, thank you both for the great experience and meal!

Angie our bartender & server was excellent 👌 very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. She prepared a perfect bourbon blackberry smash! Octopus appetizer was tender and tasty. Crab beignet was great. Crab bisque lacked flavor but texture was good with fresh crab. Prime Cowgirl steak was okay tasting but not as tender as it should be. Waygu tenderloin was great. Didn't like the crab carrot topping. Again, service outstanding, food pretty good. Nice atmosphere. Friendly place.

The overall theme of this review is the story of a restaurant trying but truly failing to be FAR more than they actually are. Location: It’s a strip mall, and not a nice one. Service: Wait staff is adequate, but nothing great. Valet parking at a strip mall feels a little pretentious and excessive. Greeting you at the door you have either a kid that looks about 17 without a clue who happened to be too busy checking Instagram to even notice that I’d walked in, or you have the young lady with the “please notice how hip, trendy, and individualistic I am” vibe. Neither seemed to actually have any particular skill at their job, and generally fumbled through the interaction. Menu: Once again, trying too hard to imitate their idea of a fine restaurant, but failing to execute an actual clear vision. Hey, if you’d like to see whatever random ingredients they think are trending at the moment slapped together, then you’ve found your restaurant. Food: Trendy ingredients used for the sake of using them. Execution, concept, and flavors lacking. Depending on what you order, you may find a top of the line ingredient sitting next to something that clearly came from a package. Gnocchi were inedible for example, which is a shame because the sauce was actually fairly good. Overall: Just not good. Is it truly terrible, no. Is it in any way good, no. Are they under the mistaken impression that they are a top tier restaurant, I’m sure they expect their first star any day now. If it were some random chain restaurant meal I’d say down for, they would have met expectations. Congratulations, you’re on-par with a Bonefish Grill…sadly probably not what you were hoping for though

Went for my retirement celebration with friends and man did Harold and his team make it a great one! Place was packed and yet, we never felt forgotten or wanting for anything. We nominate Harold for a Michelin star! Our dining experience in Ft Myers was second to none! Have NEVER done this before, but loved it so much we went back the very next night. Great place. Not 5 star. Basics, Sancerre is a region, not a grape varietal. Sauvignon Blanc is a grape grown in Sancerre. Mashed potatoes need to be served warm at best, not cold. Way too much black pepper in the Bolognese, if this were red pepper could be a spicy chef, but no. Chef should taste things coming out of kitchen . It’s that simple!

My husband and I have been to Harrolds plenty of times and are blown away every time. Tonight was extra special, we ate at the chefs bar. The food was wonderful as usual. But on the way out, our waitress stopped me to give me hug goodnight. I hope she reads this and knows how much it meant to me. It had been a really hard week and we were blessed with a night out kid free. My hug was the highlight of the night. It felt like a dinner with family and saying goodbye. Was part of a murder mystery show here recently and the client/restaurant provided us with dinners to our cast. I just want to say hands down that was the most delicious food I think I have ever had! We were served 3 course meals in to go boxes and after just a little microwave time they were all devoured within minutes. Also, have to say watching the servers and the cooks manage the busy restaurant was incredible. It’s like a fine tuned machine. The cocktails looked amazing too!

My wife and I went tonight for dinner. TR was an amazing server. Food was outstanding and menu is revolving so if you are a foodie this place is for you. Three pages of wines to choose from, outstanding service, amazing owner who actually cares about his patrons. Menu is creative with unexpected preparations and beautiful presentation. Our first visit was a winner. Ambiance is casual contemporary. This place is unbelievable and if you like Coopers Hawk they have lots of wines without the chaos and way better food and no club to join.We loved it so much my wife did a review on Yelp too. The owner and chef came out and spoke to us as he did to numerous tables making sure everyone was enjoying their meals. This place could easily be in Naples charging far more. If you like fine wines, unexpected and unique chef creations in an intimate, casual atmosphere this is for you. With menus changing constantly, you will never get bored and there will always be something new you want to try. It’s in an unassuming shopping center but be prepared to be amazed when you enter as it is a utopia for the adventurous diner and anyone who likes fine wine and decadent desserts. You will love it.

This was the best dining experience we have had in swfl. Went for my birthday, sat at the counter and a little happy birthday place card was at my seat waiting (nice touch!). It is fine dining without being stuffy or pompous. We had the octopus, duck breast, and salmon and all were equally fabulous. The chef came out to check how we liked the entrees! Service was so nice and attentive. Our server (didn’t catch her name but she is a fellow ginger) was so great with recommendations and a delight to chat with. My husband got a great rum old fashioned and I was able to try a new dairy free dessert they were testing out. Exceptional all around!

It is a lovely restaurant. The host and owner were absolutely polite and charming. Everyone was dressed nice for this evening dinner. I was truly excited to eat here for the first time. However, things did not seem to go right. Although it was a classy place, and my waitress was really delightful. But, another waiter/bartender in the room was very loud. He was yelling across the room, his conformation of orders. It was little to be desired at first and soon became obnoxious. Actually offensive to his customers and to other customers near. Several people did look at him, shaking their heads. Also, his uniform was substandard. His clothes and shoes were stained from the day before working. I am surprised the owners allowed him to approach the customers' table dressed so dirty. Disrespectful. Therefore, a peaceful meal was not available that night. A waste of a lot of money. This waiter/bartender is not the kind that builds up a restaurant. He is the kind that destroys them...customers stop going there.

We had dinner last night (7/22) at Harolds. We haven’t been there since the restaurant was renovated. We made a reservation a week earlier. We arrived promptly for our reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant was busy but there were several seats at the bar available - they filled up within about 45 minutes. The bar cannot be reserved but it is open for walk ins. We were seated in what is essentially the “new” side. It’s basically the bar area. We weren’t thrilled with the table but because we hadn’t been there in some time we thought we would give it a chance. The table was in the back corner, by a door to the outside. Twice it was opened, from the outside, by what we assume was someone looking for the front door. It was a little annoying. On the other side of our table was a high top - often what you see in bar areas. The bartender came from around the bar to take our drink order almost immediately and brought our drinks quickly. We were even less thrilled with the table (we assumed the bartender would be waiting on us) but we had settled in and decided not to say anything. A server came over to take our food order and answer any questions. The menu had so many delicious sounding items on it and we have always loved the food in the past so it was difficult to choose. We started with the Octopus and the Potstickers. Both were outstanding - especially the Octopus. For entrees I had the Scallops and my husband had the Veal. My scallops were beautifully cooked and the aioli complimented the dish perfectly. The veal was a beautiful chop and was perfectly cooked to order. It was delicious! The dessert was also really good. We don’t usually order desserts but I am glad we did. Overall it was a really nice dinner. I forgot how quickly they serve the food, so we were out of there in just over a hour - with 3 courses and a cocktail to start. Keep that in mind if you are looking for a leisurely dinner. The only real downside was the table location. I wish we had been told our table was in a corner of the bar area. They really shouldn’t sit a reservation in the bar area, and especially at that table. I could see using that area for larger parties (and there was a large party in our section) or even parties of 4, or a last minute walk in/reservation. A restaurant of this caliber shouldn’t be sitting couples in the bar area - especially on a Sat eve. I didn’t expect a quiet romantic evening but I wasn’t expecting to be seated in the bar area when I made reservations a week earlier. We should have been told our reservation was in the bar area but I am guessing by the size of the restaurant they do not preassign tables. I wished we would’ve asked for a different table but now we know for next time - and there will be a next time.

Fantastic restaurant! We have been several times and always a great experience. Food, service and cocktails are always top notch. The wine dinners are off the charts. The owner Harold always remembers us and stops by our table and chats for a few minutes. We will be back soon.

An exquisite restaurant experience. From the fine wine to the decadent cuisine you can’t ask for a more perfect evening out. Low lit romantic atmosphere. Excellence in service from the well trained staff who gives you a high end experience from start to finish. The drinks are well crafted with thoughtful curation. The pairings are very well organized with thought in every plate. The specials were extremely delicious and left me craving another visit. You can tell this restaurant knows what it’s doing from the back of the house all the way up to the front. Thoroughly impressed from the customer service over the phone all the way through to the final goodbye. Can’t wait to get back and try some other dishes.

My husband and I went to Harold's for the first time tonight. We read that the bar was the best place to sit. They took amazing care of us. Everyone is there to help you. So you don't have to wait for your server to come around. The cocktails were fabulous! The appetizers were so good we wanted to order more! The soup was amazing! Our entrees were so good 👍 Then, Scott made us a special desert just for us. Amazing! We were blown away! What an experience!
