What a great find! It’s easily the best restaurant in Brownwood, but it is pricey. Our tab was $65 plus tip. I would recommend McAlister’s if your budget is more limited. We both ordered chicken with cheese in it. I wish I could have had a Caesar salad instead of mashed potatoes though. Service was great and the manager stopped at our table to check in on us!

**Classy Without Cohesion** Preface: This Upscale restaurant houses a lavish dining setting, created for formal fine dining for all guests. However, the restaurant had clear disconnects, causing the dining experience to be lacking. Food: I had ordered the Grilled Yellow Snapper with Risotto, Spinach, and Tomatoes. Presentation was immaculate and the fish was cooked beautifully. The risotto unfortunately was not cooked all the way through and the spinach was not seasoned. The cocktails, "Italian Paloma" and the "German Chocolate Martini" were balanced and good, but nothing mind blowing. I feel that great ingredients were used, but execution fell in some areas. Service: Oddly slow. There were two parties that were being served and the restaurant was full, but hearing some of the chatter from staff, there was a disconnect amongst staff. Entrees took 25 minutes and the general vibe of staff seemed to be distant and somewhat cold. You will not find "Southern Hospitality" here. Greg, our server, was great and provided anything we needed in a timely manner while juggling his tables. Atmosphere: Immaculate and Upscale. Fairly cramped as there are 20 tables packed into one space. Noise level is loud. Overall: This restaurant has the appearance of a good restaurant, but falls short of being truly exceptional. I do hope that improvements can be made to this restaurant, but at its current state, I feel that it is only slightly above par. Rating 3.3 out of 5

Had a wonderful Sunday Brunch for our 23rd anniversary. The food was amazing, the atmosphere inside was comfortable and very classy. Anne was our server, she was training, and she really went above and beyond to make the experience great. The prices were a lot lower than I expected for the quality of the food. The Sangria was also really good.

This evening our friends took us to Harvest restaurant part of the FMK Group. Excellent food and atmosphere. Patrick was our server. Very polite and well groomed. Everything at this establishment is top notch. From the restrooms to the Kitchen. I recommend 100% and would make it a must visit. I had the Gyro Chicken Bowl, my wife had the Baked Parmesan Halibut with Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus my friends had the Alaskan Salmon Bowl. You can’t go wrong on any of the Bowls served there.

We sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks and ap's. Service was excellent. We had the fried ravioli. Probably a two-star. In St. Louis, they have baked ravioli. If this is trying to mirror the STL dish...........it was a swing and a miss. At Harvest, the ravioli is a cheese ravioli. STL has some meat as well. With just cheese, the dish is nothing be dough, all the cheese is gone after frying. We also had the flatbread. Very good. 95 degrees outside, so we sat inside this trip. Very nice environment. A one-off strange thing. We were there the night Pres Trump was shot. They announced it at the square. The person next to us, mentioned he received a new-flash about it and asked the bartender to change the channel on one of the four indoor TV's. A number of people were interested in a news update. The bartender said no. She said she will not change for political reasons. WTH???? President of the United States.

All around wonderful dinning experience if you find yourself in the area of the villages stop and give it a try you will not be disappointed. The bowls are really good and affordable be sure to check their availability because they do not have them daily. The drink was a vodka pear lavender lemonade very soft smooth cool summer drink. They offer unique take on shrimp and grits. The staff is dressed to the nine but they do not mind if you aren't. Casual dress is acceptable. Be sure to leave some room for dessert.

My boyfriend proposed here and the staff worked so well with him to surprise me! They kept the ring in the kitchen and brought it out under a covered desert plate and then they all waited and watched for me to lift the cover to see my beautiful ring and they were so sweet. They took turns congratulating us and helped him so much. The best meal followed by the sweetest proposal it was honestly amazing, 10/10 would recommend for atmosphere alone

Best dining experience we've had in The Villages! Went there for lunch - unfortunately, they did not have the Squash Blossoms, but we had the Chicken Gyro Bowl, moist and tender chicken not overly spiced, tasty Tzatziki Sauce. Panzanella Salad with Seared Scallops, though not a "true" Panzanella (soaked stale bread with tomatoes, onions, in olive oil and vinegar with cucumbers) it was very fresh and the Scallops were cooked perfectly. For dessert we had Tropical Bread Pudding, almost as good as the bread Pudding at Commander's Palace in New Orleans, and Chocolate Mousse, smooth and creamy with no grit like so many I have had elsewhere. We will be back!

Worst food ever. Started with a wedge salad and had them take it back. The lettuce was brown and mushy. Switched for the fried ravioli supposed to get six only got 5. Sangria was on special and that was good. The chicken caprese was what I ordered. Chicken was tough and dry. I felt like it was premade then microwaved. Roasted vegetables, boiled. Nothing roasted about them and no cream in the cream spinach. Very disappointed.the waitress was amazing. When I go to eat at a high end restaurant I don't expect to send everything back. She told the manager and he came to the table. He did take a few items off. Made me slightly happy, but still spent $70.00 on an awful meal. Maybe it was a off day in the kitchen, but there should never be a off day. You know what you are putting out.

Second visit in just over 6 months and felt let down. Friday night reservations - easy parking even though area was busy. Seated promptly but waitress was slow in checking in for drinks, very slow returning requested drinks. Were not impressed with them (house mojito) Meal was so-so. Alaska bowl: enjoyed salmon but the kale mix was very off putting to me. Too many raw shaved brussel sprouts as well as no green onion topping as I had 1st visit. Dining partner had Carolina gold chicken. Didn’t taste garlic in the garlic mashed, broccoli was undercooked and shaved Parmesan on top seemed almost an after thought. Corn salad was a tablespoon garnish (portion did not quantify salad name). Room was very noisy and busy, conversation was a bit difficult. Server commented menu will be changing next week.

They did cook it more without any problem but it came back very hard and tough to eat. Definitely not worth the $60. The other dishes ordered were also just fine, not great.

Overall I give this restaurant 3 stars ⭐️. When we arrive we were seated immediately with no reservation which was awesome. I choose inside seat as the outside seating area was full. The ambiance was a nice vibe, with clean white table cloth tables, hi tops, and bar seating available. It's took our server about five minutes to bring menus and water. Once we ordered our drinks came quickly. I noticed other tables besides ours had bread and butter while the waited for food. After our server pass by us about 5 times we finally got her attention and asked for bread 🍞. The bread was nice and flakey but not warm. Our food had great presentation but lacked in temperature. I ordered the chicken and waffles off the brunch menu. It consisted of a single chicken breast season and fried cut in half between a single waffle cut into 4 's withs fruit and strawberry syrup added. The waffles were cold and kinda mushy the chicken was crispy and flavorful and actually tasted better with the table bread than with the waffles. Next we had the shrimp and grit which were great but again nit as hot as I would like it. I would try this place again to see if I could get a 4 or 5 star experience.

Loved this restaurant!! We went with 3 couples and we were all impressed! We started with wine and the charcuterie board . The cheeses on the board were delicious as well as the salami, nuts and olives mixed in presented on the board. The charcuterie board was so generously put together that 6 of us could not finish it . I then had the Caroline Chicken and it was fantastic. The corn sauce was delicious. My brother had a fish that apparently was equally delicious. My friend had the Harvest Shrimp & Grits and loved it ( l was so busy eating and talking that l didn’t see what others were eating ) The waiter and staff were attentive and helpful offering suggestions when we were ordering. The manager stopped at the table to see how we liked our dinners ( something a big name restaurant in Brownwood needs to do ) I highly recommend this restaurant the food is fantastic as is the atmosphere and staff.

When this restaurant first opened it was much better. Last two visits in the past few months have proved a little disappointing. The food comes out lukewarm and the food is just okay. The waitress should look over the table setting the first time she comes by. Had to ask for spoons to stir the coffee. The salt shakers did not work because they had the wrong course salt in them. Waitress was kind enough to bring us the salt in a separate little container, so she accommodated us. The coffee was good! Julius Meinl 👍

Went there yesterday for a work event. Good location and kept clean and looks higher end. Ordered the stuffed chicken caprese, when I cut into the thick part of the chicken breast it was so raw and pink that I'm pretty sure I heard it cluck. Sent it back for another one. 2nd stuffed chicken caprese comes, looks like they took the same old sides from my first plate and re-arranged them on the new plate so its new to me. Server asks me to cut into it and check to see if it is cooked correctly. This one is still pink and raw, honestly Chik-fil-A would been better. I switch my order to the prime delmonico steak which I ordered medium rare. Steak looks dry and crusty and of course the inside is raw, not even close to rare. At this point I give up and take it home to feed to my dog. Not quite sure how anyone can get 3 plates cooked incorrectly in a row. I feed bad for any elderly or immunocompromised person who eats any of this uncooked food, they may not survive the onslaught of e coli or salmonella.

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was semi busy with the outside seating area full. We were seated immediately upon arriving. The host was pleasant. The server had a pleasant attitude but her area was full which affected her attentiveness to our table. We ordered the harvest shrimp and grits and the chicken and waffles. As we were sitting waiting on our food we noticed certain tables had bread and butter and we did not. So after our server passed our table about 5 times without checking in we stopped her and asked for some bread and butter. Needless to say we would not have got it without asking. Our food including the bread was not hot but on the cooler side much cooler than performed. So u give it a 4 star experience.

Redfish special was fishy, no seasoning, and they were out of Pineapple salsa. Wasn’t served on pineapple wedge as indicated. Switched it for 6 oz filet mignon medium cooked. Looked like a 4 oz, no seasoning, cooked medium well and a little dry. Mushrooms cold and without seasoning. Asked for baked potato with everything. Came with only sour cream and butter. Brought out the chives, bacon, and cheese but potato had gone cold. Wine and cocktail and bread were good. If you like unseasoned, cold, overcooked food, this is your place! In the end, a very nice manager Eric took care of me and my dinner was cooked perfectly. Kudos to Patrick our very patient server.

Quality has gone down here unfortunately. I have come here several times in 6 months with great similar results until now. We usually get the shrimp and grits because it is creamy and delicious, but this time it was watery and no flavor. We had a small gathering of friends at the new Harvest Restaurant in The Villages, Brownwood to be exact. We were seated in a small private room off the main dining area. There were eight of us, Misty took care of our table. As a waitress she got everything correct, including billing at the end of a three and a half hour meal. I enjoyed the squash soup prior to a main course meal of scallops and risotto. I paid for three meals, my wife's, my own and a dear friend. Our bill came out to $130 dollars with 4 alcoholic drinks. With tip we walked out 153 dollars lighter but a little heavier from the delicious food. We gave the Harvest Restaurant a 5 star rating due to the ambience and the service, food was excellent with no complaints from our large group. I have added some food photos.

The highlight of any visit to Harvest is simply walking in the door. You'll almost always be greeted by the smiling face of Jan who is ALWAYS ready to verbally spare. Being half Irish myself and 'slightly' full of the Craic, starting the evening out talking to Jan is a highlight and great way to kick off another fun evening. Harvest's success really comes down to the team AND their management. Eric Natera always personally makes sure every detail meets your satisfaction. We were just there last Friday night with some out of town guests from up north and were blessed with a fabulous outdoor table and a tremendous meal. Our server Leslie was awesome. THANK YOU TEAM HARVEST !!!

Oh my goodness! This our new date night place! My husband and I have a young daughter and don’t regularly get to go out just the two of us. So needless to say when my mother was in town and offered to babysit we took her up on it. We chose harvest because it wasn’t too far and we like Brown Wood. We had a short wait and chose to sit outside. Even though it was chilly the patio was nice and comfortable with the numerous heaters. My husband got a beer and I had the Pinot noir. We had the lettuce wraps and those were absolutely delicious. Next for our entrees my husband ordered the ribeye and I the bolognese. Now I’m Italian and I’ve been (and eaten) all over Italy so believe me when I saw that this was the best bolognese I have EVER HAD. Absolutely delicious. The pasta was delicate and cooked perfectly and the sauce was rustic, sweet, and acidic. The addition of green olives was wonderful! It’s been a couple weeks and I still think about that dish everyday. My husband loved his steak and his sides. We finished the night with a caramel brown sugar cheesecake slice (and another glass of wine) and it was the perfect end to a perfect meal. My husband and I talked and laughed and really connected over this meal. Which is something we occasionally miss doing having a toddler at home. Thank you Harvest for a lovely date night. The wait staff is great at asking you if you want to buy more drinks, appetizers or deserts, but abysmal at the basics like bread and water, seeing if you need anything, or bringing the bill. Way to feel like a piece of meat, rather than being taken care of by someone who is actually doing their job. This happened two times in a row. Won’t be back.

It all began when the Hostess asked me if I was there for employment. This was a first for me so it was weird telling her no. Once my employment verification was complete, I proceeded to ask for a table for two. My wife joined me at the table a few minutes later. It was a little cool outside, Luckily the heaters were on! Oh but wait!! When the table next to us finished they turned the heater off and started rolling it away. Looking around, everyone else had one next to their table and didn’t have to ask. I had to request for the heater to be turned back on. It was not a busy day by any means but our waiter was in a rush and dropped the food off as fast as he could and walked away. Everything was kinda snobby towards us and we didn’t feel very welcome. Lastly, it would have been nice to have bread like everyone else in the restaurant. I have dined in quite a few nice restaurants but this one did not leave a good impression. Oh, and the food was not all that great.

My first time at Harvest for brunch. We’ve been here for dinner many of times. The chorizo breakfast tacos and potato pancakes were delicious. The special on Mimosa’s and Bloody Mary’s was a pleasant surprise. My server, Shelby was excellent! She was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I have eaten at Harvest a second time this past month. Both times a disappointment - a surprise since only in March of this same year we had many good experiences. Tonight the salmon special was disappointing. Dry, cold and the sides were also a problem, carrots were promised and I received overdone asparagus and cold mashed potatoes. Three of us at the table were about to order a bottle of wine but the meal was rushed out to us so unexpected that the restaurant lost out on the sale of wine. Our savings, your loss. When we asked for horseradish for the prime rib we were told they ran out earlier! - “The bar used it all for making Bloody Mary drink”. Felt like an excuse we did not need to have shared with us. And ……there was nowhere else to go in The Villages to purchase some or in any of the other food establishments??? How do you run out of a staple pantry item? The previous visit to your restaurant I ordered the pork chop. Having sampled the pork chop in March and bragging about it, I was served the thinnest, tasteless and most disappointing meal ever! It was an embarrassing experience for me to share with my friends. And then both our server last visit and manager gave the “excuse” that they were not here back in March , so did not know what it was like then. More excuses than we expected…..again! The noise level in the restaurant is also an issue. Very distracting. We will NOT returning and will share our poor experiences with others in our community. Finally…….. Our server tonight was Rachel and she was the only positive thing we can say about tonight.

We came with a reservation for a party of 14. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and a great atmosphere for all ages. Everyone's meals were delicious. My only complaint is the kids menu. The Mac and cheese was actually Kraft. Not only do we not eat that in my house, I expected a homemade version from a place that makes mostly everything from scratch. We will certainly visit again.

Average restaurant with a great vibe. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is very friendly BUT the food is nothing extraordinary and also they took too long to bring my food. They don’t offer bread and the portions are too small. Too pricey for what it is.

This is one of our favorite restaurants because we like the variety of the menu, the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and their gluten-free selections. We had a special dinner planned with friends on Saturday evening, and we’re very disappointed. I ordered a steak entrée cooked medium rare, and it came out overcooked. I rarely send food back… And yet it wasn’t even palatable. So I asked for it to be cooked. It took so long that the other three friends at my table had already finished their meal by the time my entrée came out. it was pretty awkward. Our waitress clearly felt bad about it and kept trying to offer me a free dessert. I don’t normally eat dessert and they had zero gluten-free options despite plenty of gluten-free options on the menu, so I declined. Everyone in our party felt that they should have taken the cost of my entrée off of the bill.

The food was not what you expect at this price point, steaks were not cooked to what our table ordered. Multiple orders were sent back, from salads to sides and main courses. Even the waitress insisted on getting us replacement meals even though we didnt complain, it was blatant how overcooked and undercooked everything was. Service was great and the place is beautiful but the kitchen definitely has alot of work to do. Dont think i would ever go back. Definitely recommend other fine establishments before trying this place

Vegetable soup was wonderful. Angus bowl with risotto was mostly risotto and not much Angus and one tomato. I do not recommend this dish. Wonderful atmosphere and service.

Amanda is absolutely star to this location. Hands down the best bartender in the villages. The food is really good. Take any suggestions she makes. She will not disappoint you. I make a point just to come here to have a smile and amazing service.

Great outdoors dining where you can eat and listen to the live band at Paddick Square. The food is excellent, never disappoints, and service was very good. Great menu with lots of delicious choices. With the full service bar you have plenty of choices of beers, wines and spirits. Prices are reasonable.

Christian was so great as a kitchen manager. Was my 40th birthday and made sure my steak was corrected and was perfect. Gave me a birthday dessert. Crystal was our server and so amazingly attentive. I will tell everyone to come back. Glad you have such great staff.

First time here tonight. From the lovely woman who seated us to the darling young lady who served us, everything was perfection. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, and said it was the best he ever had. High praise from him. I had the pork chop with cherries in sauce and feta crumbles. Excellent. The only slight criticism I have is the tails were still on the shrimp. Very messy for him to remove them.

Highly recommend Harvest! Service was great and food was incredible! Great spot for a birthday dinner. The restaurant decor is very chic and elegant. We enjoyed a lovely evening dining on the patio, bonus was getting to hear the music from the Brownwood stage! 2 of us ordered the Fish of the Week. It was Swordfish and was incredible! The lemon brandy sauce on it is mouthwatering. Would definitely order again. The vegetarian pasta was very light and refreshing with lots of fresh veggies, great for a vegan! The Cherry Glazed Pork Chop was served beautifully and very tasty. Their signature Cabernet wine complemented our meals very well! There were 4 very clean plates at the end of dinner!

Super amazing!! We had a party of 9 & the menu, staff friendliness & care was spectacular...their menu is diverse...some highlights were the Butternut bisque, Fruitte de Mer, Stuffed Chicken Caprese and FABULOUS desserts...their wine & spirits are nothing to ignore. Our 2nd time in 2 weeks...we found a new favorite. So appreciated for a "4 sibling" family reunion 😍
