Our family came together to remember mom and dad (grandma and grandpa, great g-pa and g-ma). Joel set everything up and dinner was great. Mindy kept us swimming In tea (Yankee and Southern). The Magnolia Room was perfect for our gathering. The baked beans, collard greens, potato salad, coleslaw, pulled pork, fried chicken, and Shepard's pie were wonderful.

I want to love this place so much! Love the vintage although it might have gone to far from me! I was not able to enjoy my food because of the silverware! Hashbrowns had a weird flavor. But pancakes were delicious. This place has so much potential yet to achieve and bring more people but it is too much of the weird vintage! The bathroom was not well designed and old ropes in such a smaller area! I am an Urban Planning and I absolutely love vintage but it went to far! Sadly the outside of the cafe and bakery looks abandoned! I do really hope to see it at its best!

This is a small family owned and (mostly) operated business. Homemade, from scratch dinner options that are next level delicious! The dessert options are made in house and when I day you have to get at least one slice of something to go home, it's a must! Love the small town feel of this restaurant. Highly recommend !

Really wanted to like this place. Service was good. Prices are outrageous. Food was OK, not bad, not great. Sweet tea tasted strange. $50+ for lunch for 2 people for just OK food is just way too high.

Quality food always. My husband and I were here for dinner. The Chicken and waffles outstanding. Crispy chicken, waffles crispy outside with tender inside. And the Buttermilk syrup is delicious! The portions are generous, enough for 2 meals! Can’t forget the cornbread, it’s the best!

We stopped in for breakfast. Everything was cooked as requested! Love their iced tea. Have to say the service and food are excellent.

Breakfast was amazing, especially the cinnamon French toast. So much food for the price. Wonderful service by Mindy, felt like eating breakfast at my grandmother's kitchen table!! Too full to try desserts but will return in the near future.

Wow! If you want homemade, delicious food, I encourage you to give this place a try. My whole party enjoyed their dishes. We shared the fried green tomatoes and they were incredible. My husband had the special, and another member of the party had the Voodoo Mac. All around great experience. Definitely try the cherry lemonade, it was sweet and tart - perfect!

Love the complimentary corn bread and butter. Love the atmosphere, service, attention to detail with the old school plates and silverware. Enjoyed the fried shrimp appetizer although I thought they were going to be jumbo shrimp. Fresh salad with housemade dressing. Pork ribeye was a bit small compared to the portions of the other entrees (huge). Tried the meatloaf as well which was excellent.

Delicious dinner, served with care. Service was friendly & my food came out quickly. The fried shrimp were huge, plentiful & delicious. I was too full for dessert there, but took home a slice of pie & cake. The coconut cake was large, moist & yummy. I have yet to try the Key Lime pie , but it's a big piece.

If you really, really like good food…go to Miz Kathi’s. The menu is outstanding. The desserts are to die for.

Wonderful meal in a unique setting. Our pot pie and meatloaf were 10/10, delicious. The setting is historic and intimate. Our server was very nice. Thank you for a great meal!

I love going to Miz Kathy’s!!! The food is always amazing !! I took my bf for the first time last month and he was totally jealous I went today without him.

Wife and I ate here after eating a carrot cake that was purchased here. We were not disappointed. The shrimp & grits was just perfect, not the typical grit cake like you receive from other places, this was real grits. The jumbo shrimp on it were very good as well. Wife tried the country fried steak; it was half of the size of the plate, some of the best she's ever had. I put some Dixie Dust seasoning on the side of the grits and it was awesome. We didn't forget about the southern surrender chocolate cake OMG! I haven't ate myself miserable like that in a long time. Food like mama used to make. We are definitely returning, once we lose the 8 lbs that we gained from here.... Thank you for the great food and service.

Always a special treat! I’ve tried several different dishes and each has been absolutely delicious. Likewise for desserts. Great dining experience and venue!

My mother and I had been wanting to come down there for breakfast and this was our first time and it was fabulous! We ordered the low south country omelette I believe that’s the name of it and it was amazing. It was so good we’re gonna go back on the 22nd and bring our whole neighborhood of women down for breakfast. I highly recommend it.

This was one of the worst places I ever ate at. We sat down and waited forever to get served. The food took forever. I don’t even know how to keep the place clean from all the dust. The food was not that great and very overpriced. And that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it and believe me don’t waste your time there do yourself a favor and don’t go and waste your money and time you were gonna be so disappointed

Absolutely delicious authentic Southern food. The atmosphere adds to the Southern charm! Once you taste Southern cook specials you will return time and time again. Great restaurant for special occasions!

Delicious food and homecooking. I’m sad i did not dined earlier. Their shrimp and grits are amazing and the fried chicken is to die for, accompanied with a mixed berry lemonade is the perfect combination. Can’t wait for our next visit.

Kind of pricey for the food, but it is delicious. The dessert cakes are so moist, they have no crumbs!

This family-owned restaurant served us some of the best breakfast fare our party has ever tasted! The service is fast and friendly and the decor is so cute. These days it can be hard to find delicious, high-quality, local food at a reasonable cost, but Miz Kathi's serves up excellence at an affordable price. We even bought a cookbook! We will be stopping by this cafe every time we're in the area.

Always friendly and food always good. First time I knew that they offer Thanksgiving Thursdays. What a wonderful idea. I would have ordered it if I wasn't vegan, LOL

There is a BIT of a wait when arriving and PARKING is horrible!! Soooooo First time visiting!! To be seated, there's a wait even with reservation! But their food .....is "terrific 🎂" n atmosphere is cozy.

The food was a bit, pricey, although WELL worth it. Truly a 5 star, home-grown destination. Staff was attentive, but by no means bothersome.

My Dad is from Alabama & I lived there briefly & ate at the Whistle Stop Cafe. My husband’s family is originally from TN and ran a restaurant. We know southern cookin’. So trust me when I tell you this is some of the best if not THE best southern cooking we’ve had in a while. Including Lucy Buffett, Paula Deen, etc etc. We loved the delicate crisp of the onion rings & catfish, the friendly attentive service & the historical location. Now we live in the area we’ll be back! Thanks ya’ll.

Dining at this restaurant is like going to your favorite aunts house for your birthday and being treated so special with wonderful food that you just wouldn’t make for yourself. The two servers that we usually have our absolutely wonderful and make you feel right at home and do everything they can to make your experience a very good and pleasurable one.

Never disappointed!!! Picked up a birthday cake and a couple slices of cake I hadn't tried. Everything was delicious.

Wonderful small restaurant in old downtown Wildwood. The food, service, and atmosphere are great, especially for the ladies. It's been at this location for many years which tells you a lot! I had their pulled pork - so tender and moist it would melt in your mouth!

NOW THEY HAVE BREAKFAST! Just when you thought it couldn't get better. We love everything. The best pancakes I think I've ever had. This is my favorite local spot! Everything we've ever had has been excellent! Chicken and waffles is one of my favorites.

Miz Kathi's Cotillion Cafe was a charming little stop right off the main street. As one would expect, this Southern cafe served sweet teas right from a Mason jar. The silverware is real silverware and the salad plate was china. There were doilies underneath the salt and pepper shakers and cloth napkins. I got the meatloaf sandwich, which came with a side (I got the small salad.) And I ended up trying the bread pudding for dessert, (served in a pretty milkglass serving dish.) The food was very good, the decor reminded me of the years we lived in Texas, and the staff was very friendly. Enjoyed this very much and plan to return.

I just had another wonderful meal at Miz Kathi's. The food was great and the service was excellent. I had a vegetable plate and my fiancee had the country fried steak. We were both happy with our meals.

I was very disappointed last night when we had dinner there. They only had 2 servers and service was very slow. One of the things we like best is their cornbread. We were told right when we ordered our drinks was that both batches of cornbread had been burned. There was plenty of time to make more but they didn’t even offer. They should have a backup for some time of bread or at least offered to take a minimum of a dollar off of our bill, but no such luck. When it came time to order dessert our friends wanted a slice of pecan pie but were told they were out of it. It was clearly written on the board and even after they were told this it still stayed on the board. Bad business all around!

Sucha cute restaurant! I loved the ambiance and the food was delicious. Especially the homemade desserts!

This place is like something out of a movie. Every detail has been seen to. It was so hard to order because I wanted it all! I love the feel of the old buildings with so much original charm. A train went by behind while we ate and reminded me of my childhood town. The 2 ladies serving in the dining room were sweet and helpful and so pleasant and they sell a cookbook of the recipes! And I can't say enough about my slice of Sweet Surrender (think Death by Chocolate) birthday cake, made by Miz Kathi's Sweetery next door. Please avoid all forms of dieting and get yourself over to this cafe today!

Grandma's home cooking to order... i would recommend a dish... but honestly everything is amazing 👏. Check out there catering for any occasion. We did Thanksgiving and Christmas last year. Simply amazing!

The Sweetery is a DANGEROUS place! So many delicious treats to pick from. Their cakes are all delicious - so moist and tasty! The cake is so moist and delicious, it hardly needs icing, but the icing only makes it taste that much better!

Joined some friends for lunch at Miz Kathi's. Very busy and "tight" seating. I ended up being shoulder to shoulder with diner at next table which made me feel I was in middle of table for 8, not party of 4. I might have tried burger, but when menu says they serve medium well (not med raw as I'd prefer), I avoid burgers as it screams frozen product to me. Ended up with Dixie salad. Portion was very large. Fried green tomatoes and o rings were lightly breaded and cooked. Bacon and cornbread croutons were cold and limp which leads me to think majority of dish was pulled from cooler and a few extras added. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. Got a slice of cake to go - another disappointment in my book. Dry sponge, way too much buttercream frosting, hardly any caramel. Menu shows comment discount for cash, but my bill didn't go down with green vs plastic. Parking is very limited on busy 301 unless you want to park a bit away and try to navigate 4 lanes of high speed traffic.

Very friendly service and greeting up arrival. Went for lunch. Very cute inside. Busy at lunch and reservations a must. The brisket was good, fall apart tender, with Smokey flavor. The side salad was tasty as well as the beans, but the beans were on sweeter side. The cornbread was moist and also a bit sweet, but very good. Husband ordered the seared pork ribeye. Most tender pork he has had in a very long time. Husband loved the collards. Husband really enjoyed his Arnold Palmer. Ordered coconut cake to split. It was served chilled. We will return to try other items!

Our neighborhood ladies group just had a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner there. We had 8 ladies and our service was terrific! Highly recommend!!

If I could give a zero, I would. Bad food, terrible service. Pushy about beliefs. Never returning it was a huge waste of money and time.

We had my Mother's 87 Birthday party at Miz Kathi's and every detail was perfect! All of our food looked fresh and appealing while it tasted amazing! We love the white table cloths and the antique décor. The service was top notch. Additionally, we ordered a special cake for her birthday which initially we thought was a bit expensive but after cutting and tasting this cake.... it was worth EVERY PENNY! Thank you and keep serving up the great food!

This little place is a gem. I've been struggling to find tasty food in the area, nothing seems to have quality or flavor. I'm so happy to find this place. It's delicious southern food and friendly service. Their cornbread is something else, so good. Their desserts change daily, so far everything I've had has been excellent.

A little pricey but food is wonderful

This place is such a great little gem in Wildwood. We did not eat at the cafe, but instead went to the sweetery for breakfast. Everything looked incredible and the display of each item was perfect. We tried their huge cinnamon rolls, the donuts, and bought a couple cookies for later. All of the items were delicious and fresh. We will definitely go back to try more and to also eat at the cafe. If you are traveling through Wildwood or in The Villages highly recommend stopping in. The staff were so friendly and helpful and described each item.

The food is delicious 😋 and the service was excellent. Looking forward to going back again soon. I enjoyed the meatloaf, and my wife had the Country Fried Chicken.

We had dinner at a awesome souther restaurant in Wildwood this evening. I had the train wreck and my wife had shrimp. The cornbread is the best cornbread I have ever had. My wife said the shrimp was great. Mine was grits with cheese and pulled pork with some BBQ sauce. It was fantastic and very rich. I’m a big guy and could not finish it. We got a desert to go. Have not tried that yet 😀. Sorry we dug in before we took pictures.

What a wonderful surprise just outside The Villages! Everything is homemade and delicious. They spice up the jambalaya to your preference and it was so flavorful! The seafood platter was catfish, shrimp, crawfish and hush puppies. The catfish was lightly fried, moist and full of flavor. Even the bread basket and the Arnold Palmer tea were yummy and made in house. Looking forward to visiting them again soon!

Although the place was swamped, our service was prompt, orders correct, It was our anniversary, we met @ Kathhi’s. It’s our special place.

What a cute restaurant. We had chicken with pimento cheese and honey and dixie salad with green tomatoes. Both were excellent. Super cute nostalgic Cafe. Not very big, they recommend reservation, but we went in late afternoon and wasn't too crowded. We were there on Friday and our service was fantastic. Really sweet and great recommendations from menu. We also bought the cookbook. Definitely worth the visit, will go again 😊

Everything I have tried here has been excellent: Best Meat Loaf I have ever had, Great tuna salad, deserts to die for, You have to go.

Took my wife and Mom there 3 Saturdays ago--talked the place up to my Mom, because is over an hour to get there. Have been before and was excited to share with my Mom. Food was "meh" and the service was non-existent. I mean HORRIBLE. We had to ask another server for refills and for the check. Won't be back: expensive, meh food and awful service. Miz Kathi--you need to fix your restaurant. Lemme know when you do. (the bakery next door was good, as was the service)

We visited Miss Kathi's last night for the first time. We were with a large group of people and I have to say the food and service were great. Every dish that was brought out was delicious. The cornbread was some of the best I've had. Our servers were informative and fun. We will definitely be back.

This has been one of my best experiences in flavor thus far that is in or around the villages. . The meatloaf was sweet, not savory but a good kind of sweet, excellent flavor profile. I also enjoyed the voodoo Mac and cheese. The winner and stealer of it all was the banana pudding!!!!!! So so enjoyed it. I'll be returning several times for this menu.

This was our first time eating at Miz Kathi's and it was a great experience. From the absolutely beautiful cozy decor, including real china and tablecloths to the sweetness and friendliness of all their staff, including Madison, Paige and Ms. Tracy. Their food is absolutely delicious! Our main course left us so satisfied that unfortunately we had no room to savor one of their scrumptious looking desserts, which they make at their bakery a few doors down. This is one restaurant we will be sure to frequent next time we visit the area, and this time we will certainly leave room for dessert!

Great little place to have lunch at. Was surprise old building almost passed it up but glad we didn’t. Service and meal was great. All home made.
