They served me a Tv dinner. Food was hot though definitely not the best. If you’re just hungry they have food.

We stumbled upon this treasure. The staff was friendly and recommended the gumbo combo. AMAZING and she gave me extra grilled cheese on the house! Above and beyond. The Mac and cheese was the best we had all weekend! So much flavor! My girls not a pea person either, and she smashed. We will be back!

This spot was definitely worth coming to. The customer service was great. I would highly recommend it if you're visiting from out of town.

My husband Chef Charles and I from Baton Rouge tremendously enjoyed our food.I had dat plate with Fried catfish, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and sweet peas.My husband had the superdome with redfish mashed potatoes a cream sauce topped with onions rings,and dat fries topped with candied bacon and ranch,sooo good.Shout to Chef Jeff and his staff.We will definitely be coming back.

My first time in New Orleans and saw this place as a top food stop to try. I was not disappointed! The food was amazing. I ordered the Seafood Extravaganza (blackened) with a side of red beans and rice. All around amazing! And it was better than the food I had in the French Q. Highly recommend !

Me and my family was riding by this restaurant and decided to stop to eat . We are from New Jersey so we wanted something different than what we eat back home. This restaurant food is so delicious!! If you are in the Big Easy , you must stop hear !! So happy we did!!!

Amazing food and really nice staff but this is in "the hood" in case you were unsure. Inside of the building is safe but outside is a little questionable. We took our food and ate in a park. Could also have it delivered. The food is 100% worth it. Amazing soul food.

Oh my that blackened fish with the crawfish gravy so so so so good next time when you’re in New Orleans please go yes it’s a hole in a while, but it’s worth it and please don’t let me forget the potato salad off the chain

Best place to eat in New Orleans

This place should have a 5/5 tbh. Food was AMAZING. The cornbread was moist. The salad was good and the dressing was excellent. The red beans & rice plate is perfect. And the FRIED CATFISH?!?! Delicious. I highly recommend it. The girl working there was so polite and sweet too. If I could give 10 stars I would.

I must say this is definitely a place we shall revisit! The fried chicken and fish was very good and the gumbo was close to what my momma made. The Red Beans and rice I give a B- but, I will get them again. So overall they earned a 4.7! Great job!

Drove in while headed back to Texas from our Disney vacation and this place is a 10/10. Customer service was great and the food is a MUST try! Delicious food and my 10 year old grandson loved it! We will definitely be back!

MAN OH MAN!!!! So I pulled up and I ask the nice lady to order for me. Never been and heard good things. She suggested the Superdome and the bread pudding! It did not disappoint! Now I have to go back and try everything else!

The food is out of this world good!! Wow wow wow wow!! The Buffalo day fries , Bourbon St Love were phenomenal and fresh and flavorful. I love the bacon pieces that come on the fries so sweet and savory!! The fried chicken was crunchy and seasoned well. I will be back !!! I want to try more

I highly recommend getting the Jerk Dat seasoning on your wings because it is phenomenal! The bread pudding was warm and full of flavor but not too overwhelmingly sweet, it reminds me of a caramel candy I used to eat when I was a child. I also got a bunch of other items as well but they were all prepared very well and so rich with cajun flavor goodness. I'm surprised Keith Lee hasn't come here yet but I give my biggest recommendation for everyone who hasn't tried out this place yet to JUST DO IT because you will NOT regret it! Plus the lady taking our order was very nice and sweet so shoutout to her!

Heard Dat Kitchen was recommended to me by a friend who grew up in New Orleans. I am so happy she did! The food was absolutely amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Small establishment but big on flavor. It definitely lives up to its own claim of "New Orleans Best Hole In The Wall"!!

We had Heard Dat delivered for our teenagers so we could go out to dinner for our anniversary. Luckily for us, their food showed up before we left and we got to try each dish. They chose the red beans/ rice with blackened fish, shrimp and grits, and crawfish pasta with fried shrimp and potato salad. WOW! Exactly what you dream about when you think of New Orleans food. We came back to empty to- go containers, and nothing we ate when we went out compared! Oh, and they loved Dat Shyt fruit punch, name and all! 10 outta 10 recommend!

Great small place with amazing flavors. There are both indoor bar seating and outdoor tables. Came here with a group of nine and we fit at an outdoor table. Everyone got something different and everyone was very pleased with what they got. Fried chicken Dat Plate with mac & cheese, potato salad, and peas was incredible. The chicken lives up to Louisiana fried chicken standards and goes beyond. The mac was great and the potato salad was the most flavorful I've ever had. The group enjoyed all their protein options: blackened fish, shrimp, and chicken. 10/10 would recommend this place. Try the chicken Dat Plate, blackened fish, or gumbo.

Best mac n cheese and chicken i’ve tried my entire life and I’m 58 years old

I came down to New Orleans from Birmingham with some friends for a weekend trip. This was by far the best meal I had in the city. Full of flavor and texture, extremely satisfying, and quick direct service. The space is small but there's room to eat outside. Still worth it if you're ordering takeout. My only regret is that I didn't order extra food. If anyone asks me recommendations for the city I will always share this place.

MAN!!! So we found this place randomly when googling dinner spots. THIS IS NOT A SIT IN RESTAURANT, but there is outdoor seating if u want. Lady who took the orders was nice and the food was fresh to order. I had Cornbread with some kinda sauce on it....10/10. I dont remember the name of my dish, but it was grilled catfish and grits with fried shrimp.. man oh man!! 10/10 Seasoned to perfection. My wife had fish with potatoes topped with onion rings.. everything was delicious. Bread pudding was thick and had a rich caramel type sauce in it. We are DEFINITELY coming back to this place real soon!!!

I have only ordered from Uber eats. I have ordered many times from this restaurant and often at the last minute because I could never decide upon what to eat. My food was always of top notch quality, hot, delicious and have me wanting to come back every day. One day I will make it here to eat in to enjoy the atmosphere! I was in NOLA for my birthday and I stopped here for lunch, now sadly I can't eat 😢 shellfish so I couldn't taste all the dishes, but the rest of my party loved the seafood offerings. For me the Potatoe Salad, Green Beans, Mack n Cheese, Fish and Grits was Absolutely Delicious. If you are planning a visit to NOLA or live in the area I highly recommend stopping by for lunch 😊!

We held our offsite meetings in NOLA and I worked with Tia to build our catering order. I'm in Illinois and everything went well. She advised me on catering for our group of 30+ people. Trust me when I tell you EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!! I was surprised when the Chef delivered our order. He is a very kind and pleasant man -- and he can cook. I handle the food orders at work and as a courtesy, I let my colleagues serve themselves first and I go last. But when it was my turn, most of fried fish and chicken, beet salad, bread pudding -- was almost gone. I've never seen food go that fast. The veggies, Mac and cheese -- all delicious! Can't wait to return to New Orleans so I can dine in this time. Many Thanks to Tia and The Chef!

Superdome was amazing - sad I didn’t get to try everything else on the menu. Mix of flavors was harmonious, I am a fan of rich and creamy (potatoes and lobster sauce) as well light (fish). Additionally, the chef came out to personally thank me, which is an incredible touch.

I was in the mood for some gumbo & stopped here after reading reviews. The reviews don't lie - their gumbo was Sooooo good! The best I've had with perfectly cooked sausage, shrimp, & chicken and just the right amount of kick. I loved that the combo came with grilled cheese & potato salad; it was the perfect balance. We also ordered the lobster mash and it was delicious! I only got a few bites before my husband devoured it. We'll definitely visit next time we're in NOLA.

They take too long, I was one of two people in the restaurant and they took 20 minutes just to serve us.

They answered all our questions and cooked our food to perfection. It is located in a not so desireable part of town (not unsafe or anything, just appeared run down) and there is only outdoor seating - so plan accordingly. If ever I am back in New Orleans, I will definitely return! Thank you!!!

My favorite was Cradat cornbread. Seasonal veggies were zucchini today and they were 😲 so good! Gumbo combo, not my fav but husband loved it. Comes with standard grilled cheese and very flavorable, delicious potato salad Hole in the wall vibes

This out of the way place delivers on outstanding food! If you are looking for delicious food, this place is a must! Free on street parking just makes it easier to get to. The owners are extremely friendly and willing to talk to you. Do not expect table clothes or fancy napkins( which just costs more!). This restaurant delivers great food at reasonable prices. Thank you Tia, we definitely will be going back!

Family-owned diner with quintessential NOLA eats! They made accommodations for our group of 20-30 and the owner/chef even prepared some off-menu starters for us, fried jambalaya balls among others. SOoo Yummy 😋 You gotta try the crawdat nachos and bread pudding!

These folks (shout out to Tia!!!) were 100% accommodating to our group of 30, set up tables outside and even when it rained they had tents out for us to keep us dry. They made a whole off menu custom for us and even picked us up from the corner store up the street to bring alcohol back for the group. On top of that, the food was bangin!!! If I lived in NOLA I would certainly be back, get that skeesh shrimp with the pepper jelly 🥹🤤 I wish I got more pictures, but this is some jambalaya balls they made special for us and they were so good!

This place was worth it and did not disappoint. I heard about it on tik tok from someone listing favorite places and was skeptical and man I'm glad I took this trip. I wish I could bottle up the sauce from mac and cheese. I ate there and had to order something to take back to Airbnb. 10s are not high enough.

ordered through delivery (2/8/24) red beans were spilled, food was late (over an hr late to go 4 blocks) and cold, green beans had too much sugar, catfish was hard, rice was hard, and they didn’t bring me any utensils. the punch was good

I’m honestly disappointed. We travelled far, hoping it’d be worth it but unfortunately it wasn’t. I ordered the seafood extravaganza and the fish and shrimp were bland and the fries were soggy…also bland. The sauce didn’t even save it. My partner had the bourbon street love and the fried chicken was really good, Mac and cheese was okay. I wish the fried foods were consistent.

This was exactly what I wanted to try when I came here! It's my last night here and my daughter brought me 2 orders of the Bourbon Street Love! One for dinner and I'm gonna eat the other for breakfast lol. This is the best fried chicken I have ever had and that crawdat sauce is the best thing ever! Guaranteed I'll be dreaming about y'all when I get back home but I'll be back and this is the first place I'm stopping!

My son and I were in town for a visit. People talking about the great flavors here. We stopped in real quick for a taste. So glad we did. We had the gumbo combo and it was the best gumbo we ever had. The seasoning and spices were right in your face, but only in the best way. The grilled cheese and potato salad are perfect. If you don't know how to dip the GC or use the PS in the gumbo, you better ask somebody! It was delicious, balanced and we can't wait to get back.

The food was so excellent and the people were even better. We ended up sharing everything so everyone could try it all. So glad we were able to eat here before we left town!

Best Mac and cheese with chicken

I looked the place up on Google and it wasn’t far from our AirBnB and was highly rated. Decided to take a chance and check it out. First let me say this place is awesomely awesome. Got there right around noon with a group of 3 and my 2 year old daughter. Not soon after arriving I can see why it’s rated so high. My daughter was definitely ready for a nap and was getting a tad delirious. She was running in and out of the restaurant and was being a tad rowdy. The woman at the front came out and was talking to my wife and daughter and was even dancing around with in front of the restaurant with her. She also took her back to the kitchen and showed her where her food was being cooked. Food came out pretty quickly but decided to take it to go at the last second. This food is absolutely incredible. I got the Nola Jam with blackened chicken and green beans and it was amazing. The chicken strips my daughter got were also absolutely incredible. My family loved this place and will recommend it to anyone who asks. Ten out of ten.

The food was great! The person that took our order was knowledge and patient while answering our questions regarding pairings and explaining what the dishes were. There were a couple menu items that seemed very similar and she was able to explain the differences. We were able to switch out a couple things and modify- we'll be back!

My favourite! Honestly, Had the Bourbon Love with chicken and the NOLA with fried fish. These are dishes that I dream of…. Outstanding. Not to be missed for a takeout or grab a picnic table outside.

Cons No inside sitting area No local seafood Walk up orders take a little long (order ahead!!!) The fried food was properly fried and was not overly greasy. The batter was flavorful and crispy. The shrimp was small but good. I could eat a basket of them. The fish was decent but I rather eat catfish instead of the fish that was served. The fish is super thin and it dried out closer the ends. At those areas, you are just eating batter. The chicken batter had a great crunch and it was delicious. I could not eat any portion of the chicken. I'm skeptical of any chicken without a bone, so my review does reflect the quality of the chicken thigh.

Food was so so good and worth the visit. The fried chicken plate was amazing and came with Mac and cheese, sweet peas, and potato salad. It is located in a random neighborhood with no other businesses around. All tables (picnic tables) available are outside. We saw many people drive up and pick up their food so it seems like calling ahead is a popular option. If we visit again we would likely do that!

Miss Goddess has no clue what shes talking about. Such lit food, 10/10. The fried chicken was sooo juicy and the mac and cheese had the perfect amount of kick.

My husband and I were here for the weekend. We wanted to try a different restaurant they were closed on Sunday so we used delivery. This food was delicious. We ordered the fish and grits. Also the chicken with the Mac and cheese. Seasoned well fish and chicken creamy grits and cheesy Mac!! Absolutely delicious!!

We ordered from Grubhub. My Bourbon Street meal was excellent. My friend ordered the Skeesh Street Salad and enjoyed it immensely. The food arrived as expected, a large portion of both dishes, and still hot. The sauce in the Mac n cheese was so good! The chicken was crispy battered and were juicy inside.

This is the Gem of the city. You can’t get more authentic than this. Plus the southern charm is well and alive. You’ll always be greeted with a smiling face. Honestly, what are you waiting for? Change your life and taste the soul of the city!

I was not impressed at all, I am a chef myself and this was not it. My taste buds may be different but no thank you. The fries were good but that fish and shrimp the smell of that fish was awful and those shrimps was so small. Y'all can try this place I will try to find more quality food. There is also no restroom or anywhere to wash your hands so please come prepare for it all especially if they are busy.
