I’ve had my fair share of pasties in my day and wanted to stop in the UPS and not necessarily at one right over the bridge so I drove for a while and came across his place and the pasties were outstanding. I ate mine and finished my wife’s after that. I needed a serious nap but we had a bit of a drive but well worth the full belly feeling.

We stopped here a week ago and it was the best pastie I have ever had! At least I liked it the best and we have been going to the UP for 60+ years! I have had some good ones but for me this was the best!

I’ve had some amazing pasties recently and Hiawatha Pasties did not disappoint. The lady who waited on us was so friendly and helpful, I wanted to invite her to Thanksgiving dinner this November. This will be a place to stop on my way west moving forward.

Came here last year to try my first ever pasty and it was a great experience. Tried one at another place and didn’t like it because it had too much rutabaga but I just came back here for more. Still just as delicious as the first time. Definitely would recommend this place

Very good pasty, root beer, and coffee! There were a few different kinds of frozen pasty, and the Hiawatha Pasty is hot and ready to serve. The service was friendly, pleasant to interact with. Thanks!

Had a great expirence!! Was looking for food on the way to a camping trip, when we came across this place 10 minutes prior to closing. The lady at the counter gladly welcomed us, and had a great mood! The food was incredible, second only to the service we were given! These were by far the best pasties I've ever had! I was completely full after just one! The cookies were also incredible! This is now definitely a must stop for me whenever I'm in the UP! Highly recommend stopping by!

Literally so good! Perfectly cooked and size for 1 meal. We got the hot and ready beef pasties, gravy and a fresh baked cookie. Highly recommend a stop in

Pasties were delicious! The crust wasn't super thick & was perfect. We ordered 3 frozen and 2 to eat right away. Will ALWAYS come here. The gentleman that waited on us was super friendly!

Delicious! First time to the UP. I had no idea it is pastie heaven. I wanted a really great one (I'm a self-admitted pastie snob) and these did not disappoint. Packed with flavor, great crust. And very hot!

Very very small for $8. If you are in Naubinway, skip this place with NO cars and go across the hwy 8 to eat at that restaurant. Got the Veggie pasty ($8) which was microwaved instead of baked and was 1" thick. Top crust was easily 1/2" thick with a small layer of filling. Edit to update after Owner’s comment: This is a legit review. Oops…it’s Hwy 2. Cross Hwy 2 to eat at Moofinfries instead. I got the outrageous $8 price mixed up with the Hwy #. I notice that you don’t claim that you don’t microwave nor the super thin size of your pasty. I’ll also add…the place to eat, besides one’s vehicle, are at dirty picnic tables outside.

Stopped in just before close. A gentleman was ahead of me, leaving, and came back while I was paying asking for another. What a great sign it's gonna be good! A rest stop with beach access is about 5 miles east with a great view of the bay.

What a wonderful place with wonderful food. The man was super sweet and the pasties were absolutely delish! I cannot wait to go back when I head up to the UP again. 😊

First timer but now a fan if all Pasties as good as these. Gravy especially good. Also got a little history of The Pasty & story is similar to the Pepperoni Roll for WV miners.

Best pasties and gravy we’ve had ever! Conveniently located west of one of the nicest rest areas in the UP with access to the lake.

This is a really good pasty. Properly spiced, good size, flakey crust (but not too flakey). Not a traditional crimp, but we can't have everything. As good as Lehto's or Muldoon's.

What is a pastie? I don't know, but when I was driving through the UP I tried a few and this one was definitely the best. Super cute little place where the people live where they work. They have a reputation to uphold and they do it well. These are the establishments that keep America the place where we all enjoy living. Hiawatha Pasties, keep on keeping on. I will be back I promise.

Our first Pastries. The Beef and Pork were fresh out of the oven, and the smell of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies was too much to resist. Both were delicious and filling.

Product was good, got the Hiawathan Original fresh out of the oven and it was delicious and filling. 2 stars because the woman who serviced us ( whom I'm assuming is the owner of this very small business) called the police on me and my partner for looking "under the influence" of marijuana. Had to deal with an officer that didn't seem to know recreational use is and has been legal in the state for years now. Very stuck up town. So stoners beware.

I am quite certain that Hiawatha pasties are the best there are. I make a pasty run to Hiawatha Pasties in Naubinway, MI from Lansing, MI at least twice a year. The beef ones are my favorite.

Very friendly service and delicious pasties! They had coffee and a selection of drinks and some tasty cookies for dessert. Cute place!

We have tried 3 different pasty places in the U.P. this weekend. By far, Hiawatha Pasties were the best. Just the right amount of veggies and beef. Crust was terrific!

We are out-of-towners and had never had a pastie before! The women who helped us was kind and very helpful! They were baked fresh out of the oven and were delicious! We also got a peanut butter cookie here that was super yummy too! It was a beautiful day to eat at the picnic tables out front. Wonderful little place to stop for lunch!

Great pasties! A true UP treasure I stopped here on my way down from visiting Marquette and boy am I glad I did. It looked vaguely shady from the outside, but that wasn't the case at all! I had the option of getting a warmed up or frozen pasty and since I was passing through for lunch, I just got a warmed up one. There were 2 left, which one perfect: one for me and one for my husband I ate mine with just salt, but my husband got gravy with his. He said it was really good, but I prefer mine plain haha The prices were reasonable for the amount of food you got!

Great quick Pastie place. We stopped I'm a whim We walked in and leave guy was taking fresh pasties out of the oven. I got mine with gravy fairly reasonably priced good pasties definitely would be back

While I haven't eaten at every pasty shop in the UP, I have eaten at a few and these are the best pasties I've come across so far. I like the option of being able to buy a side of gravy to go along with the pasty, though I still prefer mine with ketchup. I just wish some of the other flavors were readily available to purchase hot.

Pasty was good but the gravy has a chemical taste. I believe it’s because the sides of gravy are microwaved in disposable styrofoam containers prior to being served. As styrofoam isn’t microwavable, it make sense that a chemical would be leaching into the gravy when microwaved.

Delicious hearty pasty and yummy chocolate chunk cookie was worth the stop! Friendly and helpful staff member was a plus!

I ate my first pasty and loved it! The lady, who works there, helped us greatly to prepare what we asked for. Thank you for helping and serving us delicious pasties. I would definitely recommend this place.

Delicious pasties. The lady who works at the counter makes this experience unforgettable. What a great person. Just talk to her a few minutes and your day will be shinier. Kudos to her and to baker.

I have never had a better pasty. (This was my first). Service was very friendly and kind. The ingredients felt high quality and the pasty was amazing. We plan to return! Parts of the location feel a little run down, but the people are kind and the food is great

Outstanding!! We drove all over the upper peninsula and tried lots and lots of pasties. These are by far the best! The crust is really, really good and the filling is delicious. Great flavor and not too salty like a lot of other pasties

I made their breakfast pastie this morning and it was fabulous! Lots of flavor and just the right size for breakfast. Many times now I have had their original with the gravy. They’re always hot and ready, flaky, flavorful, and very filling. Definitely get the gravy. The staff is really nice every time I’ve been in. If you have a sweet tooth try their homemade waffle cones and ice cream too. I would highly recommend them!

Holy smokes the pasties are good! Totally worth the $7. There’s a space for an RV to park too; a bit of a turnaround. Out 25’ camper fit no problem. We stopped here because somewhere online said they had free wifi with purchase, but no one new the password, so that was a bummer.

Having never had a pastie, I felt compelled to give one a try on my journey through way northern Michigan. I have to say Hiawatha Pasties delivered a wonderful first impression. The location is a small, quaint building with two very nice ladies inside. I was treated to wonderful smells upon entering. One of the ladies was in the back preparing a new batch to be served hot and fresh. The other lady greeted me with a smile and answered all my questions as to what I was exactly looking at getting. I ordered two at a very affordable price and headed out to enjoy them with my wife. They are a very hardy meat pie with potatoes and rutabaga that you can eat by hand. They are very tasty and filling. I was offered a side of gravy that I graciously accepted, I also took some ketchup that she said some people enjoy them with. The gravy was crazy good, the ketchup worked nicely as well. In short if you have never had a pastie, this is the place to go. I was full all day.

Great stop off highway 2! Ordered 3, 1 hot and 2 cold for a treat at home. Enjoyed the hot pasty (mix of ground beef and pork) outside at one of the few picnic tables. Warmed the to go ones in air fryer, YUM! Turned out great. I reccomend eating part with their beef gravy and 2nd half with a little ketchup (I can't decide what I like best). Will stop again!

The pasties are very good and worth a trip up to Naubinway in the UP to get them. They are located right on US 2.

The breakfast Pasty and Amaretto cherry/fudge ice cream are my favorites here. The owner and staff are so friendly and always smiling and laughing. The store is clean and never disappoints... great Yooper stop!

Wow! These fresh-from-the-oven pasties are amazing! They have real, flaky pie crust and flavorful, savory meat and veggies filling them (not a bland boiled "mush"). The candy was also very fresh and the perfect end to a huge meal. Last: the owner treated us like dear friends. Go here!

Stopped in to grab a few frozen, bought a hot one to try while heading back to campground must say we were not disappointed. Very full of meat & veggies and so flavorful.

Close to real pasty I learned to love in copper country. They shape it a little differently but you can pick it up in hand to eat. No fork or knife required but you can use them if you want.

I'm crazy for backing a semi into their driveway off US-2 to deliver here, but the owners and workers here are very friendly and accommodating.

We stopped twice over the past week (to & from vacation). Very, very good pasties; filling for a large, hungry family. Highly recommend. We'll be back the next time we are traveling through the UP!

We stopped here during MINI Takes The States. The staff was super friendly and enthusiastic even though they were absolutely crushed by the huge amounts of hungry MINIacs! I had a beef pasty and it was wonderful! If I ever am in the area again I'll make sure to stop by!
