One of those amazing dining experiences you will not forget. What a treat! Intriguing from the moment of finding the entrance door to the Hiden place, to the final moment of tasting the scoop of the cucumber icecream. Food (including making house wasabi paste, griding wasabi root) was made on the spot, super fresh, super tasty. Chefs Sejun and Henry worked in such a graceful and peaceful synchronicity, it was a pleasure to watch! Best service provided by Luis and Sai team! Thank you so much Hiden! Highly reccomend this Michelin star restaurant in Miami. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The entire two hours were a masterpiece. Chef Okano and Park were beyond sweet and charismatic, making the whole experience that much more enjoyable. This will always be a highly memorable Miami meal in my books, as I had some of the most incredible bites in a very long time ! As of this review, per person is $300 plus tax and gratuity. You can bring your own bottle of sake, wine or champagne for a $100 corking fee, which only makes sense if you’re bringing an expensive bottle that is not on their extensive list. Otherwise they have sake bottles for under $100. If you loved any of the bites you can reorder more at the end a la carte. Enter the taco restaurant and go all the way to the back for access with your secret code. No parking, not kid friendly, no accommodation for diet restrictions. Chef omakase only

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the omakase at Hiden, and it was absolutely amazing. From start to finish, the quality of the ingredients was exceptional, with everything tasting incredibly fresh and high-end. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the experience with their attentiveness and warm service. The wine and sake pairing was another highlight, offering a perfect complement to each course. The selection was carefully curated and added a delightful dimension to the meal. The concept of hiding such a gem within a regular taco shop, coupled with the unique passcode entry, made the entire visit feel even more special and exclusive. Hiden is a true culinary treasure, and I can't recommend it enough for those seeking an extraordinary dining experience.

That was on a different level than me and my lady have experienced before. We read no reviews and had zero expectations and had the a BEST time. The food was beyond expectation but the atmosphere and service tired the whole experience to the perfect evening. We ordered extra chutoro, Spanish mackerel, and hobo at the end understanding this is a seasonal menu we can’t wait to come back for every season. 100/10 of an experience!

This experience is an absolutely masterwork in itself. There is almost nothing I could say about this that would fully capture the joy experienced by me during the two hours i was there. I ordered the omakase experience to go with the dinner, going with one of my friends to celebrate our workplace successes. The sushi served here has been selected carefully, with the chefs themselves handpicking fish that have been thoroughly inspected and tested to serve the finest to their clients. The selections were beyond even my expectations, being the most memorable and exquisite fish i have ever had in my life. The wagyu served here brought me directly back to the Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo, being served with some of the most incredible mashed potatoes i have tasted as well. If you order the omakase experience, be prepared to come prepared with a high tolerance, as you will be served a lot of alcohol. Although it can be said that their selections weren't the absolute finest sakes you could buy, the pairings were immaculate. There was nothing about the experience that would make me feel negative in any manner, as we were attended to very carefully and conscientious with us the entire night. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, with myself and my dining partner becoming quick friends with the people sitting directly beside us. You can certainly meet interesting people and feel the pleasure of enjoying a meal with the company of others, even if you were to come alone. But it really is best enjoyed with another person.

This is an amazing experience ready to be enjoyed. The whole experience will be memorable, from the moment you make the reservation, finding the restaurant inside a dirty taco place. The contrast of the small Japanese restaurant with a perfect service, Minimalist decoration and legendary food. This is a once in a lifetime experience, that is expensive but something that I would recommend every sushi/Japanese lover to do at least once. 10/10

Our food was very good, its an intimate small place, staff was very nice. However, what completely caught us off guard is when before desert chef asked if we wanted an extra piece of any sushi we tried during the night- we didnt want to seem rude and we took his offer thinking it was chefs compliment. We then got a bill for $32 extra dollars for 2 people for 2 small nigiris (!!!!!!!) on top of what we pre paid for dinner when making reservation. Before dinner started they asked us if we wanted to add caviar for extra $100 per person to our meal and i agreed and my husband declined- which is a fair game. But when chef asks someone at the end of the meal and staff doesnt disclose that it comes at extra cost- it is just very sneaky tactics to squeeze more $ out of a customer who already paid $600 for dinner plus drinks plus tip and not sure if it is even legal to bill for something that you dont disclose a price of for an already paid experience.... We v been to many japanese michelin restaurants, we have been to similar experiences in different countries and this is the first time this happened. I just think staff has to warn people that it will cost extra, because we would have declined, we obviously just wanted to not be rude. For me the whole experience was not worth the price tag and that incident left a sour aftertaste. The food was very good and chef and sou chef delivered great quality fish and preparation was top notch

Easily the best omakase experience I've ever had, beating many, many great restaurants and chefs around the globe. Personally, I thought the hidden aspect of this was really cool as the restaurant's ambience is such a contrast to the bustling energy of the taco stand outside. The food was INCREDIBLE, with fish I've never even heard of being served to us exquisitely. The best part was the chefs - we came in a group and he providing such a fun, informative experience, sharing details of each fish, history of his experiences in sushi, and more. Probably the priciest sushi in Miami too, but well worth it

This is an incredible experience for people not afraid of trying exotic dishes that will blow your mind away. The food offered was exquisite, presented in all art's esplendor. Every dish was unique, the taste of each sushi piece accentuated by the perfect portion of Wasabi and soy were incredible, I couldn't say I have a favorite because each bite took me by surprise but the Japanese A5 Wagyu Sukiyaki and the amazing Gelato were out of this world. I really enjoyed my time there and recommend the place 100%. The perfect place to feel transported to Japan, for a "Jiro" experience and it delivers. The freshest fish and urchin is literally flown in overnight and two master chefs prepare everything in front of you and a maximum of 8 total guests for a 2 hour multi-course experience. Your date is guaranteed to be impressed unless they're not a seafood or sushi fan, obviously. Pro tips and heads up: • Cant get a Rez? Their Instagram will notify you if cancellations open spots up. • Be on time. They email a 4 digit door code within 24 hours that will only work to get in the secret door (in back of the taco shop) for 30 minutes. Traffic is only getting worse in Miami. We had to nix Uber and ride my E bike matrix style to get there in the nick of time. • Gratuity auto added at end. Yes you prepaid $300 a person, maybe it was a gift from mom, but be prepared to be slapped with an extra 20% in classic Miami fashion at the end with your own card, and any extra booze you ordered.

THE best Omakase in Miami. Actually best Sushi experience in my life period! And I've visited Japan. The course meal is a symphony beginning with a variety of delicate fish and oysters and concluding with bold succulent A5 Wagyu. The climax of course is the Sushi itself and how the Chef gracefully yet meticulously constructs the Nigiri. Each piece the perfect temperature, the fat and umami flavors just melt on your palate... This is a phenomenal authentic omakase experience in a relaxed yet intimate setting. We had 19 beautifully prepared courses by master sushi chef Honda, sous chef James, and staff. The menu featured several Japanese imports including Hokkaido Uni, Miyazaki A5 Wagyu ribeye, Hotate, Nodoguro, and O-toro among several others. The omakase was traditional as it began with lighter offerings that progressed in intensity culminating with the wagyu with truffle salt. There were a few hot dishes spaced between the cold ones. Each dish was elegant and a gastronomic affair on their own. The tempo was just right and not rushed like some omakase I have experienced. Quality, presentation, and service were impeccable. Although an incredibly luxurious omakase, the atmosphere was not pretentious and Chef Honda was friendly and interactive with the diners. The dining room was aesthetically sophisticated yet simple, serving as the ideal setting for an exceptional omakase. Overall, Hiden's omakase was absolute culinary perfection and one can easily argue that this is the best Japanese restaurant in South Florida.

The Hiden experience is clandestine, exclusive, and real tribute to your palate. The meal is served as an Omakase, Japanese for: I’ll leave it in your hands. The chef decides what to serve, starting with the lightest and ending with the most filling. The space is comprised of eight spots, guided by the Master Sushi chef, his helper, and two servers that complement the two and a half hour experience. We tasted nineteen individual plates: 15 fish, 1 duck, 1 meat (Wagyu A5 the most expensive cut in the world), and two desserts. This was a sensory, luxuriously galactic, eclectic, and wonderful experience of exceptional qualities, and it certainly came with a hefty price. Hiden is located within a taco shop in Wynwood. The James Bond style door does not read the restaurants’ name. Slide the door open with the four-digit code texted to you on the day of your reservation.

We went here 8 months ago with the original chef and were blown away by the experience. Better sushi than even some Michelin rated restaurants in New York. I put myself on the waitlist and booked last night without knowing that the original chef left. I found out a day prior to the reservation and was greatly disappointed and wanted to cancel, but the manager reassured me that the new chef was equally talented. Kept the reservation and proceeded to have an incredible experience yet again. While the new chef offers a different way of preparing the fish and slightly different warm dishes, the food is outstanding and he is actually far warmer / and has better people skills than the previous chef. The portions are the same and we left very full and with some new friends. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Welcome to Miami, Chef Mitsu!

MORE AT Google

I will preface this by saying I have dined at Hiden several times since they opened last year, and each time has been the most memorable and incredible culinary experience I have had. However, this past week the restaurant owners, Showa Hospitality, and the Chef and Manager, Tadashi Shiraishi and Caroline Martinez, have parted ways. Because of this separation, Hiden is simply no longer the restaurant it was and never will be again. During the separation, both Chef and Owners posted on social Media. Shiraishi thanked Miami and everyone he met during his time here, while Showa made a statement that Hiden has always been about more than one chef and is about an experience as a whole. That just simply is not true. Every time I have dined at Hiden, I enjoy both the food and the experience. Shiraishi has gone into great detail about every selection he made for our experience. From the glassware to the classic omakase counter made of traditional rare wood. Listening to Shiraishi wax poetic about the incredible oysters he has sourced from Washington, coming wrapped individually as jewels, makes eating that single oyster so much more incredible and delicious. Learning why he selected each wine on his finely curated list and what course he feels they pair well with amplifies your dining experience ten fold. Omakase, by definition means "I'll leave it up to you" and stems from the Japanese "to entrust". How could dining at Hiden be anything BUT one chef, when your entire meal and experience is artfully curated by one single individual? I had reservations in March for a family birthday, which I have chosen to cancel. Firstly, I can not fathom dining at Hiden with a different chef. I wanted my family to experience the same magic I had. Second, I can't dine somewhere that doesn't respect their chefs. Shiraishi built Hiden. It may have been financed by other parties, but every single aspect of that establishment has Shiraishi's heart and soul in it. I could accept an amicable separate between both parties, however I can't accept a restaurant group not giving credit to the chef who solely built their entire following, booking out months in advance. Lastly, I can't dine somewhere that is expensive and pre paid when I don't trust the group. In the wake of Shiraishi's departure, Hiden felt no obligation to warn those who had reservations and this past weekend many people showed up for pre paid dinners to a dark and closed restaurant. If you choose to dine at Hiden, please know you will not get any of the experience you have seen on social media or online. And what you DO get, will be at the expense of a chef who gave the Miami dining scene and Showa Hospitality everything.

Hiden is not a sushi restaurant. It is a Japanese omakase experience. Just for 8 people per sitting, Chef Tadashi Shiraishi has carefully selected ingredients based on the time of year and sourced from the best places - not necessarily just Japan - to bring you a top tier dining experience that is worth saving and waiting for. Together with his wife Carolina, they have hand picked the sake, wines and beers, the plates and down to the unique sake cups (which you get to choose your own and I thought at the end I was getting a personality reading based on it). And if the food and ambiance is not enough, patrons get to walk through a gritty taqueria (which is now on my list to check out), to a door at the back, punch in a code on a panel to enter this secret elegant room. Very 007!

What an amazing experience my family and I have had at Hiden. My boyfriend and I were able to snag a reservation in May and loved it so much we made a another reservation with the whole family in June! Let's start off by saying this, I didn't like fish until I tried Hiden. I took that wild leap and opened up my taste buds. The fish is so fresh, it practically melts in your mouth. We have gone twice and each time has been a different food experience, as you don't know what Tadashi is going to make that night. I don't know whats better.. the amazing fish, champagne, mystery of the next course, or the secret location of the restaurant? All of the above for sure haha.
