Just found this place and will definitely be back! The iced coffee was great, as were our food items. It's so amazing to have a drive-through in this remote area.

I was in there today, the fire has really hurt local businesses. So all you local- yocals stop in, Angie is great and the coffee is too!

Food and Drinks were excellent, I had a Bagel Sandwich with a Mexican Hot Chocolate Mocha. Staff was excellent and the older couple that are regulars provided great conversation. Can't wait to go back!

What a hidden gem!! Small enough to be cozy, enough room to work inside. Food is lovely and they are so accommodating to sub, add-on or create your own version. Drinks, how do I try them all at once?? AND they have a drive-thru in case you don’t have time for a proper stop. This spot has it all.

We go out of our way to stop here whenever we can. When we planned the route for our reservoir run (oroville/shasta) we went out of our way to make this our lunch stop. High lights are home made pasteries made to order sandwiches and comfort food breakfasts. I had egg salad sanwich on a jalapeño bagel (they make the egg salad at time of your order so its fresh) my wife had Roast beef on an Onion bagel. Smoothies and cold brew coffee that steeped 12 hrs. If you're ever on hwy 44 headed to shingle town or lassen plan this as a stop. You won't be disappointed. Staff friendly and effecient!!!

I'm amazed that the owner remembers me from a couple of years ago, and in the three times in the last three weeks I've stopped by remembers my prior orders and conversations! This personal service is ALL about the benefits of supporting small owner businesses! The coffee and scones are great, and two thumbs up on the bagel breakfast sandwiches with sausage and eggs. Stop by you won't be disappointed. My current favorite drink is the Mexican Mocha coffee, which you can get hit, iced or blended (blended with whipped cream on a warm day, heaven!) If you're journeying on Highway 44 be sure to stop by, you won't regret it.

Everytime i go its made different, the last time it tasted like hot milk almost 6$ for hot milk is not cool. The owner makes it perfect though

Higher Grounds is a great place to eat and get your favorite coffee. It is clean and the ladies are all very friendly.

The special was so yummy the price was great and the last who works at the register is always so sweet.

Stopped in here on the back way to Reno. One of the ladies did not have a mask - how refreshing to be able to see her smile. They didn’t mind me wearing my mask. The breve cappuccino was on point, and the desserts are too good and not so for my waist. Love this place and their respect for people.

I’m a Starbucks barista and came up to visit my Dad since he moved into Shingletown. He told me about this place and I love coffee houses so we decided to visit. Angie (the owner) and Mariah were super polite and helpful! Had a Chai Latte which was excellent and had great traces of chai spice and cinnamon. Also tried out a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, holy cow! It was awesome! What a great little coffee spot, definitely check them out, I’ll be back for sure!
