It's a really cozy and fun place and it also has decent outdoor seating...it's just not exactly the neighborhood for such a place. I'm not complaining! Just be prepared for really great coffee and the sort of minimalist chic you'd expect near mixed-use hipster housing, not in this sleepy Philly exurb.

Good coffee, nice atmosphere, and fantastic service! Stopped in for the first time today and this place far exceeded my expectations. The coffee and breakfast sandwich were on point, the atmosphere is ideal for getting some work done, and the staff was the most accommodating of any coffeeshop I’ve ever been to. They’ve also got two very nice outdoor spaces with ample seating. Side note, the bathroom art was a fun surprise given how white the rest of the place is. Nice touch. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Neither one's Home nor a simple Room. Yet here we are: HOMEROOM! You are not ready for the powerhouse that is HOMEROOM. HOMERUN has sparked ethical debate as they create food so remarkable people have lost meaning in life and they have been fully consumed by magic of HOMEROOM. I see they omitted the peanut butter soup with smoked duck and mashed squash. New York Matinee called it "a playful but mysterious little dish." You would love it. No rez needed.

Coffee is my first judge and it’s amazing espresso. Service was great. Fast to make my food and the place was busy at lunch time. I got the chicken bacon avacodo sandwich……all made to order and it’s the best uncooked sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Great bread, good toast, chickens tasty and avacodo is fresh. I’ve always only drank my coffee at generic chains like Starbucks and dunkin. This place is a clear upgrade, loved my visit.

Ordinary place. very small , Chairs stiff uncomfortable , Bit very loud music . Can't converse. Was a rainy damp atmosphere. Staff friendly.

Great breakfast spot! The cardamom and urfa latte was a delicious and unique item. The toast and breakfast sandwiches are a great bite to compliment. Lots of baked goods, I can't wait to go back and try more.

Gather your Canada Goose and 3 carat diamond ring, because to enter this rarified coffee-lunch-shop air, you’ll need something to fit in. This place is a tremendous find, clearly with a chef from city-level fine dining. The chicken salad sandwich is fresh with an incredible array of fresh herbs in the mix and crunchy yet soft sandwich bread. You’ll surely not go wrong with a grain salad topped with chicken - super high quality meat - the difference is clear. I was also impressed by my matcha latte - not as much by the chocolate chip cookie. The grapefruit soda was also distinct with a hint of thyme and a perfect amount of sweet and bubble. I can hardly wait to return and enjoy the very best again.

Friendly, warm, and inviting! The food is gourmet and the staff goes above and beyond. I highly recommend the following items: everything bagel with avocado on it, chocolate croissant, soup of the week, coffee spritzer, & iced tea.

Great coffees and drinks. The food is so fresh and well thought out. I’ve seen some of the farmers being produce in, and the people there make beautiful food with it. Friendly people and nice places to sit outside or inside.

This spot just opened the week of March 14, 2022, and it’s off to a roaring start. It has a great menu of tasty sandwiches and salads as well as delicious baked goods, bagels to croissants to accompany the delicious Ox coffee, a top local Philly coffee roaster.

Second time here and better than the first! This is such a cool, delicious cafe in suburban Gladwyn. The egg sandwich is one of my favorite I’ve ever had and the salmon toast was also delicious. Great coffee, great vibes. Will say the outdoor chairs are funky but quite uncomfortable. I wonder if they intentionally make you sit up straight like you were made to in school as a play on the name 🤔

Really great breakfast sandwich and even better vanilla latte. Little pricey but it’s worth it. Vibe and location are really nice. I’ll be back soon

Great spot for coffee and snacks. Doin the damn thing

The place is a must! I drive 30 minutes to enjoy their yogurt and coffee. My family is obsessed with their bagels. I also cannot say enough about their lunch either; I have probably tried everything on their menu. From pastries and latte to tea to sandwiches, everything they make has been fine tuned to perfection. The owner is a culinary genius and it shows through all of their creations. The whole team is so welcoming and kind. Small town feel with incredible products.

Great food, very good espresso and good choice of gluten free options. Service is top.

Homeroom is a must visit whenever I’m in the area, or even a bit further out. Their breakfast sandwich is truly one of the best (I do wish they still offered sausage but the bacon is great too). Other pluses: Ox coffee, stellar lunch options (love the chicken salad sandwich) a great space to relax, and friendly folks working there. Such a great little oasis.

Cozy place with very fine food!

I saw Homeroom featured on FYI Philly earlier this year and had to give it a try. I enjoyed hearing the story behind the concept and how the restaurant came to be. I’ve only tried lunch so far and rate it five stars. Will be back to try breakfast. The food is fresh and has a homemade, comfort food feel. The staff are extremely pleasant. The vibes of the place over all are great. It’s a gem and hope it remains a staple for Mainline natives and visitors who are lucky enough to stumble upon it.

What a treat—and what a perfect reason and destination to venture out of the city. In addition to the savory chicken salad, I’m dreaming of the bagel with lox and micro bladed radishes and cucumbers and the very fines herbes.

If you are into matcha like me, this is your place! I asked for the oat milk matcha hot latte 🤤 insane delicious.

Selfishly, I don't want to rave too much because I don't want it to become so crowded that they run out of everything too fast or I stand in long lines all the time. However, that's a terrible way to treat deserving others. Look, this place is terrific, starting with the kind and helpful team, and absolutely extending to the top notch food and drink. It's a hit. Period. They handily earn any business or success that comes their way. I only wish places like Homeroom weren't so rare on the Mainline. I don't miss the lack of parking, the city trash service, or the horrific roads in Fishtown, but I sure miss the food. Thank you for being out here Homeroom! I'll see you frequently. Cheers~

A great new neighborhood place! Tasty food selections, seriously good coffee, indoor and outdoor seating, welcoming staff.

Exceptional food and espresso, consistently. Been multiple times over the past several weeks. They’re going to need a bigger space as word travels.

Love this place! Been once a couple weeks ago, but then went away on a vacation and I’m back again for visit #2. I’ll be back a lot. Very cool simple modest cute design, which clearly matches very well with the name. Great coffee and great pastries. I have not eaten lunch there yet but will also hit that soon. This is a great small business that the neighborhood and surrounding neighborhoods should really get behind. Good stuff!!!

The food from this exceptional chef should be on the front page of the newspaper. The feta and fennel salad I ordered for lunch today made me want to run out on the sidewalk and shout to anyone who could hear me that I never knew food like this was possible. The airy ambiance and friendly service make you want to stay all day. We are so lucky to have a gem like this in our town!

This is a charming coffee house with a warm and welcoming staff and terrific food! I absolutely loved the lox and can’t wait to go back to try the Caesar salad I saw!
