The place is a hole in the wall. Lacks a lot in decor. I tried the omelette with hashbrowns and toast. Everything was cooked well and flavorful.

Amazing little old school grill. Owned by a super sweet and nice older couple that know how to cook and serve. It's old world charm. With great food, cooked to order, at a great price. The locals know about this place. It's a must stop if your in town and need a quick, good, lower priced food options. Dine in is a bit small, but takeout is great, and they deliver.

What a unique little Restuarant. Could not believe how cheap the food was. Food was delicious. Breakfast burrito with ham off the bone and the gravy and biscuits were superb , homemade. The lady that waited on us was exceptional.this would be my go to place for breakfast if we lived in the area.

With a name of "Hot Grill" what else do you need to know? H. G. serves mostly grilled sandwiches. I tried a Breaded Pork Tenderloin. It was about as basic as you can get - breaded pork tenderloin in a roll with lettuce, tomato and dressing - not the big"flying saucer" kind. But for a place that's been in this location for 23 years, they have done something right. The small brick edifice is next to a small slots joint, but don't let that bother you. The tiny dining area is about 20 x 20. Hot Grill is a true Ma & Pa establishment - Ma's at the counter and Pa mans the grill. I enjoyed my visit. Both Ma and Pa are got for conversation. As I mentioned, the tenderloin was not the winner. But their main line is other sandwiches, gyros and Greek dinners.

EXCELLENT! I am upset that I just found out about this place now. This place was recommended to me and I am not disappointed. I got the chopped steak, with potato and rice along with soup. Everything was great, the rice was excellent and the flavor was perfect, the potato's were delicious and steak was cooked perfectly. It might be a little more food than I needed so I would split this up into two meals next time. I highly recommend this place and will revisit it. Prices are reasonable especially in an inflationary time period and especially if you are able to split the meal into two. They serve breakfast all day long which is great to know for the future. The owner was super nice, said he has bee in business in for well over 20 years and he definitely takes pride in what he does.

Don't expect anything fancy here, it's a simple bite to eat and they do it well.

There isn’t a better dining experience in all of Chicagoland then this one of a kind stop. Not only is the food extremely authentic, fresh, and amazing but so is the hospitality. For 20 years I’ve been going to this restaurant and nothing has changed but time. You can’t ask for better people then Pete, Virginia and Johnny. A pure staple of a restaurant and great find!!

I haven’t been here in a few years due to moving out of the area. But my parents went here for years and brought me with. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, Everything they make is absolutely delicious! The owners are extremely kind and treat their costumers like family. Something that My Mom and Dad really appreciated. I miss y’all and I hope y’all are doing well. Next time your in Frankfort you should definitely stop by. I highly recommend their traditional Greek dishes. Like the Pasticho, Greek chicken potatoes and rice and Avgolemeno. Which is probably the greatest soup ever invented. Change my mind. These guys make the best in the Area! Their burgers and gyros are also the best!

Hot Grill is a hole in the wall that will fill your stomach and heart without emptying your wallet. Pete and his wife are awesome hosts and the food is top notch. Great breakfast, exceptional pancakes and don't pass up the chicken baked or fried. Pete continues his excellence and you can get it delivered. Don't sleep on the grits!

The Hot Grill is one of my favorite restaurants! Such a hidden gem. The fried chicken is the best and the owners are so kind. If you need amazing food and a great price, this is the place to go.

I come here often. The food is always fresh and homemade style. The staff is always friendly and they treat you like family. I usually get the chicken dinner with extra juice. If you’re ever feeling under the weather this is a great go-to! It also comes with homemade soup. Enjoy!

This is my favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant in my area. As another reviewer has mentioned, it is a very tiny place, not really eat-in friendly, and the interior could definitely use updating. However I always do take out, so it's not a problem for me. The menu is pretty extensive and everything I've ordered has always been very good and made fresh. Calling ahead is very easy, limits your wait time, and they have yet to make a mistake on any of my orders. You get a LOT of food for what you pay, and the unhealthy fast food items are available but almost hard to find. Not that you'd want to find them - you can get a real lunch or dinner and pay only a little more than you would for a hot dog and fries elsewhere. We've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner from Hot Grill. Omelettes, grilled cheese, burgers, hot dogs, baked chicken - it is all very good and at prices that constantly surprise me. My favorite by far is the baked chicken and rice which comes with potato and choice of soup. You may walk in and wonder how an understated little place like this can have so many good reviews. My answer is try it out and let the food do the talking!

Owners are extremely nice people. Most of the menu is made to order and their fried chicken is fantastic. Soups are made daily, I recommend the chicken dumpling. One of my go to places.
